Abstract

This article examines Islamic Religious Education within the framework of Law No. 20 of 2003 regarding the National Education System. It highlights the government's efforts to incorporate Islamic Religious Education (IRE) into the national education system as a means to instill Islamic values in students, thereby fostering their religious and ethical character. The law recognizes Islamic Education as part of formal, non-formal, and informal educational institutions, regulates it as a subject in the curriculum across all educational levels, integrates Islamic values into the educational system, and asserts that religious education serves as a source of values and is integral to national education. The author employs the Literature Study method or Systematic Literature Review (SLR), which enables the author to identify, review, and analyze existing findings, resulting in a hierarchically structured and informative text. Furthermore, while this article focuses on the legal perspective provided by Law No. 20 of 2003, it contrasts with other research that primarily analyzes the implementation of IRE in practice rather than its legal framework. Many studies investigate how effectively these policies are realized in educational settings, often highlighting challenges faced in execution. This approach underscores the importance of not only establishing legal recognition for Islamic education but also ensuring that these policies are effectively implemented to achieve their intended outcomes in fostering a well-rounded educational experience for students.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the interpretation of tarbawi on the perspective of Islamic education. This researchers used a qualitative approach with a library study method. The data sources used include primary literature such as interpretation books and secondary literature in the form of books, journals, and relevant scientific articles. This study, using descriptive-analytical techniques, tries to understand and analyze the verses of the Qur'an that have educational aspects. Source triangulation is used in this study to validate the data collected to ensure the validity of the research findings. The study results indicate that the interpretation of tarbawi has important values ??that are currently relevant to be applied in modern education such as character formation, intellectual development and spiritual development. The interpretation of tarbawi can also provide holistic insight to build an education system based on Islamic values. This hope theoretically contributes to the development of interpretation studies, and applicatively strengthens the concept of education.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji berbagai permasalahan dan sudut pandang terkait pengembangan ekonomi Islam yang berkelanjutan, dengan menitikberatkan pada fiqih dan ushul fiqih. Sistem ekonomi Islam berlandaskan prinsip-prinsip syariah, seperti keadilan dalam transaksi, pelarangan riba (bunga), serta mekanisme pembagian keuntungan. Namun, agar tetap relevan dan mampu bertahan dalam menghadapi tantangan ekonomi global saat ini, model ekonomi Islam perlu terus diperbarui. Dalam penelitian ini, kami mengidentifikasi beberapa tantangan utama dalam membangun model ekonomi Islam yang berkelanjutan, seperti ketimpangan keuangan, ketidakpastian pasar global, dan dinamika perubahan sosial. Pendekatan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini bersifat kualitatif dan melalui tiga tahapan utama. Tahap pertama melibatkan studi literatur secara mendalam dengan mengacu pada berbagai sumber, termasuk buku ekonomi Islam, kitab-kitab fiqih, jurnal akademik, artikel konferensi, serta dokumen resmi dari lembaga keuangan Islam. Selanjutnya, data yang telah dikumpulkan dianalisis secara mendalam pada tahap kedua. Pada tahap akhir, kesimpulan dan rekomendasi dirumuskan berdasarkan hasil analisis yang telah dilakukan. Selain itu, penelitian ini juga menawarkan solusi dan rekomendasi berbasis fiqih dan ushul fiqih guna merancang model ekonomi Islam yang lebih adaptif, inklusif, dan berkelanjutan. Abstract

Background. One of the main agendas for promoting a harmonious life in a diverse society strengthening religious moderation, which has become a priority program of the government. The agenda for enhancing religious moderation should receive widespread attention from intellectuals in this country as part of their commitment to addressing the serious threat of intolerance and extremism: radicalism and liberalism. Purpose. This study tries to contribute to the reinforcement of religious moderation through literary explorations concerning the concept of moderate Islamic education. Considering that many similarities in the context of the dynamics of actual problems in this country with those, national and global as reflected in al-Daghasyi’s thoughts Method. This research was a study of al-Daghasyi’s educational thoughts through literary explorations which were then positioned as a dialogue partner to formulate the significant concept for the development of moderate Islamic education. The thoughts were contextualized with the reality in Indonesia. Results. According to al-Daghasyi, when education is based on moderate Islam, it will play an important role in preventing deviant attitudes and behaviours, such as intolerance and extremism, namely al-ifr?th and al-tafrîth (liberalism and radicalism). al-Daghasyi states that issues in Islam that cause differences of opinion among Muslims and do not trigger conflict and hostility can be considered religious issues. Conclusion. This study has significant implications for instructional practices in The real endeavor does not involve weapon confrontations but fundamentally deals with preventing warfare and injustice through peaceful means, especially moderate Islamic education.

Abstract

Interreligious dialogue (IRD) is a crucial pillar in fostering tolerance and social harmony educational environments. This research is motivated by the importance of students’ understanding of IRD as presented in religious education curricula. The research problem addressed is how students perceive the IRD material and to what extent they apply it in their daily lives. The aim of this study is to examine the perceptions of 12th-grade students toward IRD material and to measure the extent to which dialogical attitudes are practiced in their interactions. A quantitative survey method was employed by distributing questionnaires at a senior high school. The findings reveal that the majority of respondents have a positive perception of IRD and reported having received the material through classroom instruction. The data also indicates that students not only understand the concept theoretically but also apply it in their everyday lives. This is evidenced through the stages of behavior change approach, which shows that most students are in the action and maintenance stages in implementing dialogical attitudes both in school and outside. This study contributes to strengthening the role of schools in instilling religious tolerance values and demonstrates the effectiveness of IRD education.

Abstract

Local traditions play a pivotal role in shaping parenting practices and early childhood development in rural Indonesian communities. This study explores the beliefs, values, and daily parenting practices surrounding dreadlocked children at an early age within Muslim farming families in Dieng, Wonosobo. Employing an ethnographic qualitative design, the research investigates how Islamic teachings and local traditions intersect to shape caregiving patterns for children aged 2–7 whose dreadlocks are perceived as sacred signs of spiritual and ancestral connection. Data were collected through participatory observation, in-depth interviews, focus group discussions, document analysis, and life history narratives with 25 key informants including parents, kyai, and community elders. Findings reveal that dreadlocked children are regarded as culturally blessed, with parenting approaches characterized by emotional attentiveness, permissiveness, and ritualized social inclusion. The practice of ruwatan—a ceremonial haircut accompanied by prayers and offerings—emerges as a key event in cultural learning and early character development. These parenting patterns reflect a model of culturally responsive education that emphasizes identity formation, moral values, and communal integration. The implications underscore the necessity of redefining special needs education to accommodate culturally distinct child-rearing practices. However, as the study is context-specific and based on qualitative methods, its findings require further exploration through comparative and longitudinal research. The research contributes to a growing discourse on inclusive and localized approaches to early childhood education in multicultural societies

Abstract

The low interest of students in learning the Qur'an at TPQ Syahidul Ikhlas is the main focus of this study. The study aims to identify teaching strategies applied by teachers to increase interest in learning the Qur'an among students. The approach used is qualitative with a case study method, through observation, interviews,and documentation to obtain in-depth data. The results of the study indicate that the application of the murojaah method routinely, repeatedly, and a personal approach adjusted to the abilities of students is effective in increasing students' interest in learning, understanding, and memorization of the Qur'an. The importance of innovation and variation in learning methods is proposed so that the process of learning to recite the Qur'an becomes more enjoyable and is able to foster a love and deeper understanding of the contents of the Qur'an. With this strategy, students are expected to be able to achieve optimal results in learning the Qur'an.

Abstract

This study was driven by observations that revealed several issues: students showed low enthusiasm for learning due to long study hours, some left and re-entered the classroom out of boredom, and others became sleepy during lessons because they were tired and struggled to concentrate. The purpose of this study was to assess the contribution of the full day program to students’ learning motivation at SD Negeri 01 Pauh Kurai Taji. A quantitative method with an experimental approach was used. The study population consisted of all 323 students at SD Negeri 01 Pauh Kurai Taji, with a sample of 39 students. Data were collected using a questionnaire. The data analysis included normality tests, homogeneity tests, and hypothesis tests. The study’s results indicated that the full day program had a positive contribution to students’ learning motivation. This conclusion was based on the results of the T-Test, where the significance value was 19.238 > 0.05 and the t count was 19.238 < t table 2.024. This means H0 was accepted and Ha was rejected, indicating that the full day school program contributed to improving students’ motivation to learn. The additional school hours allowed for more activities that helped increase student motivation.

Abstract

Digital transformation has brought significant changes in various aspects of life, including in Islamic religious education in pesantren. As an educational institution that plays an important role in shaping the religious and cultural identity of Indonesian society, pesantren face challenges in adjusting to the development of information technology. This study aims to analyze the role of information technology in Islamic religious education in pesantren, including the challenges faced, strategies to overcome obstacles, and the impact on the learning process and pesantren culture. This research uses a qualitative method with a phenomenological approach. The research objects were Askhabul Kahfi and Roudlotul Muttaqin Islamic Boarding Schools in Semarang City. Data were collected through observations, interviews, and document studies, and analyzed using inductive and deductive approaches to find emerging patterns and meanings. Data validity was guaranteed through the triangulation method. The results show that pesantren have adopted information technology through the use of online platforms, learning applications, and digital resources to improve teaching effectiveness. However, the implementation of digital transformation is faced with infrastructure limitations, shifts in traditional pesantren culture, and curriculum adjustments. To overcome these challenges, it is necessary to increase the accessibility of technology, training for teachers and students, and the integration of Islamic values in the digital context. The impact can be seen in the changing roles of teachers and students as well as the shifting pesantren culture in religious learning. In conclusion, digital transformation makes a positive contribution to Islamic religious education in pesantren, although adaptation efforts are needed to remain in line with the traditional values upheld.

Abstract

PTKI (Perguruan Tinggi Keagamaan Islam) merupakan lembaga pendidikan tinggi di bawah naungan Kementerian Agama Republik Indonesia yang menyelenggarakan pendidikan berlandaskan nilai-nilai Islam. Jenis penelitian ini adalah kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif, sedangkan teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui studi lapangan dan dokumentasi. Penelitian ini dilakukan di Subdirektorat Sarana Prasarana dan Kemahasiswaan Kementerian Agama Republik Indonesia. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Subdirektorat Sarpras Kementerian Agama memiliki peran penting dalam peningkatan mutu PTKI melalui pengembangan sarana prasarana berbasis SBSN, program KIP Kuliah, dan pelatihan mahasiswa. Dukungan tersebut meliputi pengelolaan sarana pendidikan, penguatan akses bagi siswa yang kurang mampu, serta pengembangan karakter dan kepemimpinan. Dengan pemantauan dan evaluasi yang terpadu, Subdirektorat Sarpras memastikan program berjalan efektif, transparan, dan berkelanjutan, sehingga PTKI dapat menghasilkan lulusan yang kompeten, berdaya saing, dan berkontribusi bagi masyarakat. Implikasi dari penelitian ini dapat memberikan rekomendasi bagi Kementerian Agama untuk meningkatkan pengelolaan sarpras di PTKI. Hal ini diharapkan dapat meningkatkan kualitas PTKI sehingga dapat memberikan kontribusi bagi kemajuan bangsa.
