Abstract

The Merdeka Curriculum was introduced to increase learning flexibility, encourage project-based learning, and integrate technology and local culture in the educational process. However, its implementation faces several challenges, including the varying readiness of educators, limited educational infrastructure, and disparities in access to technology and learning resources between regions, particularly in remote areas. This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum in secondary schools using the CIPP (Context, Input, Process, Product) evaluation model. The study employs the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method using the PRISMA framework to identify, screen, and analyze relevant studies. A total of 26 articles published between 2022 and 2024 were selected and analyzed to understand the effectiveness, opportunities, and challenges of curriculum implementation. The findings indicate that the Merdeka Curriculum provides greater flexibility in learning, promotes project-based learning, and supports the development of 21st century competencies such as critical thinking, creativity, collaboration, and digital literacy. In addition, the curriculum has a positive impact on increasing students’ learning motivation and encouraging more contextual learning practices. However, the effectiveness of its implementation is highly dependent on the readiness of teachers, the availability of learning infrastructure, and consistent policy support. To optimize the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum, strengthening teacher capacity through continuous professional development, improving educational infrastructure, and refining project-based and authentic assessment systems are essential. Continuous evaluation and adaptive strategies are also needed to ensure that the curriculum remains relevant to global educational demands. The findings of this study provide insights for policymakers, educators, and researchers in improving the effectiveness of curriculum implementation and in designing more inclusive and sustainable educational policies in Indonesia

Abstract

This article presents an original Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) disclosure dataset constructed through systematic dual-coder content analysis for Indonesian forest-utilizing companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX). The dataset encompasses 71 company-year observations from 41 unique companies across fiscal years 2023 and 2024, covering three sectors: palm oil (21 companies, 37 observations), pulp and paper (11 companies, 21 observations), and forestry and wood products (9 companies, 13 observations). ESG disclosure was assessed using 144 indicators derived from the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) Standards, comprising 72 Governance, 32 Environmental, and 40 Social items. Each indicator was scored using a binary approach (1 = disclosed, 0 = not disclosed), with inter-coder reliability yielding Cohen's kappa coefficients of 0.85 to 0.91. This dataset addresses a critical gap in ESG disclosure research for Indonesia's forest-utilizing sector, which faces increasing international scrutiny under the European Union Deforestation Regulation (EUDR). The data can be reused for analyzing disclosure determinants, conducting subsector comparisons, evaluating the effectiveness of sustainability certification schemes, and benchmarking corporate transparency against regulatory requirements. Abstract

This study aims to map and conceptualise the development of research on school leadership in Islamic schools through a bibliometric approach. This study analyses 150 internationally indexed scientific articles using citation analysis, keyword co-occurrence, and thematic mapping to identify publication trends, research focus, scientific structure, and dominant geographical context in Islamic school leadership research. The analysis shows that studies on Islamic school leadership have increased significantly over the last two decades, with a strong emphasis on spiritual leadership, religious values, moral legitimacy, and character development. These findings indicate that Western educational leadership theories, such as instructional, transformational, and distributed leadership, have limitations in explaining Islamic school leadership practices rooted in belief systems and spiritual values. The theoretical contribution of this study lies in affirming Islamic school leadership as an integrative, contextual model that combines managerial, pedagogical, and spiritual dimensions. Conceptually, this study expands the discourse on educational leadership by presenting a non-Western perspective grounded in values and beliefs (faith-based leadership), while also closing a research gap by providing a comprehensive mapping of the scientific landscape of Islamic school leadership as a basis for further in-depth, contextual research. The conclusion of this study affirms that Islamic school leadership is an integrative model grounded in religious and spiritual values, distinct from the Western leadership paradigm. This leadership is not only oriented toward school effectiveness but also toward safeguarding the ethical and transcendent mission of Islamic education.

Abstract

Human Resource Development (HRD) has attracted increasing academic attention as a strategic lever for enhancing the performance and sustainability of Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises (SMEs). Despite a growing body of literature, no comprehensive bibliometric map of the field exists, leaving its intellectual structure and thematic evolution largely uncharted. This study systematically analyses research trends, thematic evolution, influential studies, and global collaboration patterns in HRD in SMEs using a bibliometric approach. A total of 859 documents were retrieved from the Scopus database through a systematic identification, deduplication (n = 0 duplicates removed), screening, and eligibility process. Publication and citation trends were analysed using Microsoft Excel, and keyword co-occurrence networks and overlay visualisations were produced using VOSviewer (minimum co-occurrence threshold: ≥3). Results reveal a significant increase in HRD in SMEs publications particularly after 2015. Highly cited studies emphasise digital transformation, performance measurement systems, sustainability, and capability development. Research is globally distributed, with dominant contributions from developed countries and increasing participation from emerging economies. Network and overlay visualisations confirm the field is increasingly multidisciplinary, integrating human capital, digital transformation, sustainability, and Industry 4.0, with emerging themes including green HRM, resilience, and co-creation. This study provides a large-scale bibliometric mapping of the HRD in SMEs research field, confirming that HRD has evolved from a peripheral support function into a strategic research domain that bridges human capital theory, digital transformation, and sustainability.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mengkaji pengaruh struktur kepemilikan yang mencakup kepemilikan manajerial dan kepemilikan institusional serta kebijakan utang terhadap persistensi laba pada perusahaan sektor kesehatan yang terdaftar di Bursa Efek Indonesia selama periode 2019–2023.  Menggunakan desain penelitian kuantitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif-verifikatif, studi ini menerapkan regresi panel data yang terdiri dari 16 perusahaan sampel selama lima tahun, menghasilkan 80 observasi. Pemilihan sampel dilakukan melalui teknik purposive sampling. Uji diagnostik asumsi klasik dan hipotesis dilaksanakan menggunakan EViews 12. Temuan pengujian simultan membuktikan bahwa ketiga variabel independen secara bersama-sama berpengaruh signifikan terhadap persistensi laba dengan kontribusi penjelasan sebesar 26,7% terhadap variasinya. Secara parsial, kepemilikan manajerial menunjukkan pengaruh negatif signifikan, sementara kepemilikan institusional tidak mencapai ambang signifikansi statistik. Tingkat hutang memberikan pengaruh negatif yang paling kuat dan memiliki makna ekonomis yang substansial, mengindikasikan bahwa leverage yang tinggi secara nyata menggerus keberlanjutan laba yang dilaporkan. Penelitian ini memberikan kontribusi pada literatur kualitas laba di sektor kesehatan Indonesia industri yang secara strategis terbukti tangguh selama pandemi COVID-19. Temuan penelitian menawarkan panduan berbasis bukti bagi investor, manajemen, dan regulator keuangan dalam upaya meningkatkan kredibilitas persistensi laba perusahaan.

Abstract

The health industry has the third highest voluntary turnover rate in the world; thus, the degree of participation in the health industry is still relatively low. Low employee engagement continues to make employee engagement an intriguing issue of study, notably in Indonesia. According to a survey, 76% of employees are not engaged in their work. This study aims to investigate the effect of polychronicity on employee engagement with the conditional process of job satisfaction as a mediating variable and compensation as a moderating variable. Testing the model using the PROCESS statistical tool version 3.5, the sample was determined based on the Slovin formula so that 212 individuals participated in the study. According to the findings, compensation is effective in moderating the effect of polychronicity on job satisfaction, compensation is effective in moderating the effect of polychronicity on employee engagement, and compensation is effective in moderating the effect of job satisfaction on employee engagement. Each interaction is in a high category. The study implicates the result of the analysis of the conditional process model on the effect of polychronicity, job satisfaction, and compensation on employee engagement in the health industry.

Abstract

This study aims to extensively research the effects of cognitive biases on individual investment decisions. The population of this research is investors in Indonesia and the sampling technique used is random sampling, obtained 574 respondents from 34 provinces in Indonesia. Quantitative data were collected through structured questionnaires and analyzed using multiple linear regression and moderated-moderation model in the PROCESS Procedure for SPSS Version 4.1 by Hayes. Results indicate that herding bias has a negative influence, discouraging investors from following market trends, while loss aversion, framing, anchoring, and mental accounting positively impact investment decisions; these biases are moderated by demographic factors. The findings imply that demographic factors do not interact jointly but operate independently to impact investment behavior. This research is novel in its exploration of moderated-moderation effects to reveal nuanced interactions between cognitive biases and demographics in shaping investment decisions.

Abstract

This study examines the mediating role of Strategic Integration in the relationship between Ambidextrous Capability and both Organizational Agility and Sustainable Value Creation among Indonesian natural resource companies under ESG pressure. Employing PLS-SEM analysis on pooled data of 130 firm-year observations from 65 companies during the 2023-2024 period, data were collected through content analysis of Annual Reports and Sustainability Reports using the Strategic ESG Capability Index with 54 indicators. The findings reveal that Ambidextrous Capability positively affects Strategic Integration, which subsequently influences both Organizational Agility and Sustainable Value Creation. Critically, Strategic Integration fully mediates both the Ambidextrous Capability-Organizational Agility relationship and the Ambidextrous Capability-Sustainable Value Creation relationship, while the non-significant direct effects confirm that Strategic Integration serves as the essential transformation mechanism. Theoretically, this study contributes by addressing the black box problem in ambidexterity-agility literature and operationalizing Dynamic Capabilities Theory into ESG-specific constructs through a validated measurement framework. Practically, the findings provide actionable insights for managers of natural resource companies facing EUDR compliance requirements, demonstrating that ambidextrous capabilities must be channeled through strategic ESG integration to yield agility and sustainable value outcomes.

Abstract

Purpose of the study: This study aims to analyze the impact of digital technology on lecturers’ performance in higher education institutions. The analysis focuses on five key indicators: learning enhancement, teaching effectiveness, academic leadership, infrastructure readiness, and the availability of syllabi and lesson plans. Methodology: A mixed-methods approach was adopted, involving both quantitative and qualitative data collection. Questionnaires were distributed to 64 lecturers, and semi-structured interviews were conducted with selected participants. The instruments assessed lecturers’ attitudes, behaviors, and the extent of digital technology adoption across teaching, research, and community service activities. A Likert scale was used to measure the level of digital technology acceptance. Main Findings: The findings show that although many lecturers are still in the process of understanding and adapting to digital transformation, the use of digital technology has significantly improved their effectiveness and efficiency. It has also increased learning flexibility and student engagement through more interactive and accessible educational environments. Key supporting factors identified include institutional infrastructure, academic leadership, and supportive policies. Novelty/Originality of this study: This study contributes to the growing body of knowledge by exploring the multifaceted influence of digital technology on lecturers' performance. It highlights the critical role of institutional support in facilitating sustainable digital integration in higher education, particularly in the Indonesian context.

Abstract

Purpose of the study: This study aims to meticulously explore the moderating effect of financial literacy on the influence of neurotransmitters on investment bias. As a pioneering effort in behavioral finance, this research highlights cognitive and psychological aspects of investors, focusing specifically on female investors, and represents the first study to integrate financial literacy as a moderating variable in the context of neurotransmitter effects. Methodology: A quantitative approach was employed, targeting female stock investors in Indonesia. Purposive sampling was used alongside a semantic differential scale. Data were collected through the distribution of closed-ended questionnaires, preceded by instrument testing and a pre-survey. A total of 581 respondents participated, and data were analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) Main Findings: The main findings reveal that financial literacy negatively affects investment bias, indicating that greater financial knowledge tends to reduce behavioral bias. However, even financially literate individuals may still exhibit bias. Furthermore, neurotransmitter activity shows a significant positive effect on investment bias, suggesting that biological factors amplify biased decision-making. Importantly, financial literacy significantly moderates this relationship in a negative direction, meaning that higher levels of financial understanding weaken the influence of neurotransmitters on investment bias. Novelty/Originality of this study: This research contributes novel insights to the development of behavioral finance theory by introducing financial literacy as a moderating factor in the biological–psychological pathway influencing investment behavior. The practical implications highlight the critical role of financial education in reducing behavioral biases in investment decision-making, especially among female investors.
