Abstract

Metaverse, a combination of social media, gaming, and virtual reality technology innovation, is a new concept that has attracted the attention of various groups. This concept has also aided numerous groups of people, including the academician. As Metaverse offers various means to innovate, it is projected to change human lives and patterns of interaction. However, Metaverse also presents a number of negative impacts on mental health, even greater than the impacts of online games. This literature review aims to examine the impacts of the Metaverse on adolescents. Then, it develops the relevant preventive strategy through school guidance and counseling programs. This study is motivated by the lack of research related to the impact of Metaverse on adolescents’ mental health and intervention strategies. By applying the PRISMA steps, the study was conducted on scientific articles published from 2017 to 2022 extracted using Publish or Perish software. From the data collection process, we garnered and analyzed 25 relevant articles from ScienceDirect, SpringerLink, Sage Journals, Google Scholar, WoS, ProQuest, Taylor & Francis Group, Emerald Insight, DOAJ, and Garuda. Our analysis results showed that Metaverse potentially has negative impacts on adolescents, especially on non-cognitive aspects, such as social skills, empathy, self-esteem, self-control, and self-regulated learning. In addition, a basic guidance and counseling strategy using various approaches and techniques is required, particularly group guidance using information technology and social media to develop youth literacy about mental health in this metaverse era.

Abstract

The problem of violence that occurs in the world of education is a manifestation of the incomplete realization of schools as safe places. One strategy to make this happen is through the implementation of peace education in schools that involves all school members. School counselors are one of the key roles needed for the implementation of peace education in schools. This study aims to find out the role of school counselors in implementing peace education in schools. The study is a systematic literature review using the PRISMA stages. Fifteen academic articles were selected based on the main keywords: peace education in Indonesia, peace education, and peace education in guidance and counseling. The articles obtained became the basis for the author in formulating how the role of school counselors in implementing peace education to prevent violence in schools. The results described the role of school counselors in peace education in schools as a strategic role including planning, implementing, and evaluating. School counselors should implement guidance services to develop character and provide counseling services to realize peace education in schools. The role of school counselors will contribute to how peace education is implemented in preventing violence in schools.

Abstract

The implementation of the Independent Curriculum at the Early Childhood Education level faces challenges in accommodating the diverse characteristics and unique learning rates of children. This study aims to explain and analyze differentiated learning management and its impact on the cognitive development and creativity of early childhood at the Kindergarten Model in Malang City. The research method used was a qualitative approach with a case study design. The research subjects included the principal and teachers, with data collection techniques using participatory observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation studies. Thematic data analysis was performed via data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion formulation, with its validity assessed through source and method triangulation. The results indicated that differentiated learning was managed systematically through the stages of planning, implementation, and assessment. Differentiation was applied to aspects of content, process, product, and learning environment by adjusting the level of readiness, interests, and learning profiles of children. This implementation has been proven to have a significant positive impact on cognitive development, especially in logical thinking, pre-mathematics, and simple problem-solving skills. In addition, children's creativity increased through meaningful play activities, free exploration, and the use of diverse media such as loose parts. This research provides a practical contribution as a reference for effective implementation strategies for the Independent Curriculum in Early Childhood Education units to create inclusive and child-centered learning.

Abstract

This research is important because it discusses the integration of practical life skills as a fundamental component for realizing student well-being. The aim is to investigate in depth the role of these skills-based student development activities. This research adopted a qualitative approach with a single case study design at BA Restu 1, with data collected through interviews, observation, and documentation. Data analysis included data condensation, presentation, and verification. The results show that the student development program realizes child well-being through four aspects practical life skills that form the foundation for independence and self-confidence; social skills development that fosters a sense of belonging; integration of character development that transforms moral values into concrete behavior; and interest-based curriculum that increases children's autonomy and intrinsic motivation. The implication of these findings is holistic student development program is a fundamental component, not merely an addition, in creating a learning environment that supports children's holistic development.

Abstract

The development of hand-puppet-assisted video media to foster character education in early childhood is an effective approach within visual communication design to support learning activities. This media aims to help young children understand character values through engaging and developmentally appropriate visual content. It also serves as a learning aid for educators and parents in applying strategies that can enhance children’s motivation and participation. This study was conducted at Kartini Kindergarten in Batu City and focused on describing a learning model that utilizes hand-puppet-assisted video media for early childhood character development. The research employed a Research and Development (R&D) method using the ADDIE model, which includes analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation stages. Data were collected through questionnaires and literature reviews and analyzed using an interactive data analysis model. The results show that the media is feasible based on expert validation and received positive responses from teachers and children. The media also increased children’s engagement and positive behavior during learning activities, indicating its effectiveness as an innovative learning medium for early childhood education.

Abstract

Pendidikan merupakan bagian yang dipercaya oleh masyarakat dan pemerintah dapat meningkatkan kualitas sumber daya manusia. Pendekatan holistik integratif merupakan upaya dalam pengembangan anak usia dini yang dilakukan untuk memenuhi kebutuhan esensial anak-anak yang beragam. Tujuannya adalah mewujudkan anak-anak yang sehat, cerdas, dan seimbang sebagai generasi masa depan yang terampil dan kompetitif. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian kualitatif deskriptif. Lokasi penelitian berada di Kota Probolinggo. Ada empat fokus utama penelitian, yaitu perencanaan, pelaksanaan, evaluasi, dan tindak lanjut. Hasil penelitiannya yaitu 1) tahap perencanaan telah direncanakan dengan cermat. Kemudian dibuat keputusan komite, keputusan TPPK, MOU, dan SOP. 2) pelaksanaan PAUD-HI dilakukan dengan baik, meskipun masih ada hambatan. Masih ada orang tua yang kurang antusias, tetapi pelaksanaan terus berlanjut. Pemerintah daerah bekerja sama dengan orang tua, sekolah, dan masyarakat. 3) terdapat evaluasi dengan perbaikan dan tindak lanjut segera. Harapannya adalah agar masyarakat sadar dan terlibat dalam pelaksanaan dan pelaksanaan kebijakan pemerintah. 4) tindak lanjut pemerintah daerah adalah berkomunikasi dengan orang tua agar program PAUD-HI dapat terus berjalan berdampingan. Integrasi holistik diperlukan untuk meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan implementasi kelas konvensional berbasis Montessori Islami dalam meningkatkan karakter Profil Pelajar Pancasila (P5) di TA Al Falach Kota Malang. Pendekatan Montessori yang digabungkan dengan nilai-nilai Islami diaplikasikan dalam pembelajaran anak usia dini berbasis Kurikulum Merdeka. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus. Data diperoleh melalui observasi partisipatif, wawancara mendalam, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kelas Montessori Islami mampu membentuk karakter anak sejak dini, terutama karakter tawadhu’ dan mandiri. Pengembangan karakter dilakukan melalui kegiatan praktik kehidupan sehari-hari, pembelajaran sensorik, dan keterlibatan orang tua dalam program parenting holistik. Kegiatan belajar berlangsung dalam suasana menyenangkan dan interaktif, di mana anak-anak memiliki kebebasan memilih aktivitas yang sesuai dengan minat dan perkembangan mereka. Lingkungan belajar yang disiapkan secara terstruktur dan fungsional serta peran guru sebagai fasilitator turut mendukung keberhasilan penguatan karakter anak. Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa integrasi pendekatan Montessori dengan nilai-nilai Islami dalam Kurikulum Merdeka dapat menjadi model pembelajaran karakter yang efektif dan berkelanjutan pada pendidikan anak usia dini.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi motivasi kerja guru tidak tetap pada lembaga PAUD dengan menggunakan metode Systematic Literature Review (SLR). Kajian ini mengidentifikasi dan mengevaluasi penelitian-penelitian yang relevan dalam rentang tahun 2021-2025 dengan menggunakan database Google Scholar melalui aplikasi Publish or Perish. Dari 200 artikel yang ditemukan, dilakukan seleksi berdasarkan kriteria inklusi dan eksklusi hingga diperoleh lima artikel yang sesuai untuk dianalisis lebih lanjut. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa motivasi kerja guru honorer PAUD dipengaruhi oleh beberapa faktor utama, yaitu kesejahteraan subjektif, resiliensi, kompensasi, lingkungan kerja, serta dukungan sosial dari keluarga dan rekan kerja. Meskipun menghadapi tantangan berupa gaji rendah, ketidakjelasan jenjang karir, dan beban kerja yang tinggi, guru honorer tetap bertahan karena adanya motivasi intrinsik, persepsi positif terhadap profesi, serta dorongan sosial dan spiritual. Selain itu, pekerjaan sampingan juga menjadi salah satu strategi yang digunakan guru honorer untuk menopang kesejahteraan mereka. Penelitian ini menegaskan pentingnya perbaikan kebijakan dalam aspek kompensasi, pengembangan karir, serta lingkungan kerja yang lebih kondusif guna meningkatkan motivasi dan kesejahteraan guru honorer PAUD.

Abstract

Anak usia dini merupakan generasi penerus bangsa yang diharapkan memperoleh stimulasi pembelajaran terbaik agar mampu menghadapi tantangan abad 21 melalui pembelajaran yang mendalam dan bermakna. Namun, terdapat permasalahan yang muncul di TK kecamatan Pandaan Kabupaten Pasuruan yakni keterbatasan kompetensi guru dalam menggunakan teknologi untuk mendukung proses pembelajaran, baik dalam merancang materi maupun dalam pelaksanaannya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis bagaimana perencanaan pembelajaran mendalam berkontribusi terhadap peningkatan kompetensi pedagogis guru PAUD. Metode penelitian menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif dengan teknik wawancara mendalam, observasi, dan analisis dokumen perencanaan pembelajaran. Subjek penelitian 15 guru Pendidikan Anak Usia Dini (PAUD) di Kecamatan Pandaan yang mampu menggunakan teknologi sederhana, seperti aplikasi digital, media interaktif, dan platform. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa guru PAUD yang merancang pembelajaran mendalam mampu mengintegrasikan delapan kompetensi lulusan, memahami perkembangan anak, pengetahuan, sikap, karakter secara menyeluruh, memanfaatkan tekhnologi dan strategi pembelajaran aktif, sehingga kompetensi pedagogis meningkat terutama pada aspek perencanaan, pengelolaan kelas, dan evaluasi pembelajaran. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan perlunya pelatihan berkelanjutan mengenai perencanaan pembelajaran mendalam sebagai upaya meningkatkan profesionalisme guru PAUD.

Abstract

Despite the increasing global emphasis on child-friendly school (CFS) frameworks, parental participation in formal CFS assessment processes remains limited and often informal. This study developed I-HappySchool, a mobile-based instrument designed to facilitate structured parental engagement in assessing child-friendly school practices. A mixed-methods design was employed, integrating an ADDIE-based research and development model with a quasi-experimental nonequivalent-groups pretest–posttest design. The study was conducted in urban kindergartens in East Java, Indonesia, involving twenty parents or guardians from both public and private institutions. Data were collected through questionnaires, observation checklists, and expert validation forms. Quantitative data were analysed using descriptive statistics and independent-samples t-tests, while qualitative data were examined thematically to capture patterns of implementation across learning contexts. Expert evaluation indicated strong feasibility of the instrument, achieving an overall validity score of 87%. Post-intervention findings revealed comparable levels of CFS implementation in public and private settings across classroom and outdoor learning environments (p > 0.05). Among the assessed dimensions, effectiveness, health and safety, and gender sensitivity showed relatively higher performance, whereas democratic participation and equitable access remained comparatively weaker, with several indicators scoring below 60%. These findings suggest that a validated mobile-based instrument can support more systematic CFS assessment and enhance structured parental participation in early childhood education. Nevertheless, the findings should be interpreted cautiously due to the limited sample size and short implementation period.
