Abstract

Abstract

Abstract

Credit risk classification plays a crucial role in supporting financial institutions, especially microfinance institutions, in assessing the ability of customers to repay loans. This study aims to develop a credit risk classification model using the Random Forest method, which is known for its accuracy and robustness in handling classification problems. The research uses a dataset obtained from a microfinance institution consisting of various customer attributes such as income, age, loan amount, repayment history, and employment status. The dataset is preprocessed and divided into training and testing sets to evaluate model performance. The Random Forest algorithm is then applied to build a classification model that categorizes customers into three credit risk levels: low, medium, and high. The results show that the Random Forest model achieves a high level of accuracy, with a classification precision of 89%, recall of 87%, and F1-score of 88%. These findings indicate that Random Forest is an effective technique for credit risk classification and can be implemented by microfinance institutions to support better decision-making in credit approval processes. This research also highlights the potential of machine learning techniques in enhancing credit risk management and minimizing non-performing loans.

Abstract

Abstract

This study examines how perceived benefits, system effectiveness, and perceived risks shape consumer interest in using ShopeePay as a digital payment platform in Indonesia. As digital payment adoption accelerates, understanding the key determinants of user preference becomes increasingly important for service providers. Data were collected from 185 active ShopeePay users through a structured question-naire and analyzed using multiple linear regression. The findings reveal that system effectiveness and perceived risks significantly influence consumer interest, whereas perceived benefits do not show a meaningful impact. These results suggest that users prioritize operational performance, transaction reliability, and security considerations over general convenience when evaluating digital payment plat-forms. This study contributes to the business and consumer behavior literature by offering empirical insights into the factors that drive e-wallet usage. Practical implications highlight the importance for fin-tech providers to strengthen service efficiency, enhance security features, and communicate system reliability to improve user engagement and competitive positioning.

Abstract

This study investigates the contribution of gamified learning and self-disclosure counselling within the TELISIK digital ecosystem in enhancing students’ readiness for higher education, proxied by UTBK scores. Using a quantitative design, data from 82 participants in South Sumatra were collected through structured questionnaires and analysed with regression modelling. The results demonstrate that gamified learning significantly improves academic performance by strengthening motivation, engagement, and persistence, while self-disclosure counselling also contributes positively by fostering reflection, psychological safety, and resilience. However, the interaction between the two was not statistically significant, indicating that gamification and counselling function effectively in parallel rather than synergistically. These findings provide theoretical support for constructivist learning, illustrating how behavioural stimulation and reflective practice independently enhance outcomes. They also align with SDGs 4 (Quality Education), emphasising TELISIK’s potential as a community-driven platform to expand access to higher education in disadvantaged regions. The study offers practical insights for policymakers and edtech developers in optimising digital ecosystems to strengthen academic readiness. Limitations include the modest sample size, reliance on UTBK scores as a single performance indicator, and the absence of formally trained counsellors in TELISIK. Future research should broaden samples, adopt longitudinal designs, and incorporate multidimensional learning outcomes to enrich theory and practice
