Abstract

Selemak Village faces a serious environmental issue due to high levels of pollution caused by unmanaged goat farming waste. In response to this problem, a community empowerment program was implemented by providing assistance to the local youth organization (Karang Taruna) in developing educational tourism based on the concept of ecological citizenship. The method used in this program was Participatory Action Research (PAR), which was carried out in three stages. The Preparation Stage involved: (1) program planning, (2) focus group discussions (FGDs), and (3) community service socialization. The Implementation Stage included: (1) livestock pen construction training, (2) educational tourism development assistance, and (3) ongoing mentoring. The Evaluation Stage comprised: (1) a pre-test and (2) a post-test. The results show that this program successfully optimized the role of Karang Taruna in Selemak Village through training in processing goat manure into organic fertilizer. The activities were conducted using a participatory approach through educational sessions, technical guidance, and hands-on field practice. Participants demonstrated high enthusiasm and active engagement throughout the entire program. Evaluation through pre-tests and post-tests, analyzed using a paired-samples t-test, showed a significant improvement, with a p-value of < 0.001. These findings indicate that the program effectively enhanced participants' understanding and skills in waste management based on the principles of ecological citizenship.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation of Pancasila values through Civic Education (PKn) learning in elementary school. The research was conducted at SD Negeri 134409 Tanjungbalai City in Grade V, Semester 2, with teachers and students as subjects. Data were collected through direct observation using a structured observation sheet containing 20 behavioral indicators divided into five aspects corresponding to the five principles of Pancasila. Results showed that implementation of Pancasila values through PKn learning was carried out very well, evidenced by a total score of 92 out of 100 (92%). The First Principle (Belief in One God) and the Fifth Principle (Social Justice) achieved perfect scores of 100%, while the Second and Fourth Principles each scored 85%, and the Third Principle scored 90%. All eight planned teaching strategies were implemented by the teacher. Supporting factors include teacher modeling, habituation of prayer, and the use of varied teaching methods. Obstacles include students who were less disciplined in discussions, uneven participation in group work, and low awareness of loving local products.

Abstract

This study aims to test the significance of the influence of the implementation of Pancasila Education learning based on the Independent Curriculum on student discipline in obeying the rules at Tri Jaya Medan Middle School. Using a quantitative correlational approach with an Ex-Post Facto explanatory design, this study included the entire active population through a total sampling technique of 98 students. Primary data collection was executed through a Likert-scale questionnaire instrument (28 valid and reliable items; α> 0.800), supported by triangulation of field observation methods and documentation extraction. The results of the statistical prerequisite test confirmed that the distribution of residual data was normally distributed (Asymp. Sig. Kolmogorov-Smirnov 0.897> 0.05) and had a linear line projection (Sig. Deviation from Linearity 0.362> 0.05). Simple linear regression analysis produced a deterministic formulation Y = 10.245 + 0.784X. Partial hypothesis testing (t-test) convincingly rejects and accepts , as evidenced by the calculated t_ratio (8.790) exceeding the t_table (1.984) at an absolute significance level of 0.000 < 0.05. The recorded coefficient of determination () value of 0.446 indicates that the pedagogical quality intervention provides a causal contribution of 44.6% to fluctuations in student discipline compliance, while the residual margin of 55.4% is explained by external sociological determinants beyond the model's scope. This study concludes that the adoption of participatory methods such as Project Citizen and the optimization of educators' role models have successfully reconstructed the student paradigm; changing obedience based on coercive fear into an autonomous constitutional awareness that values the protection of Human Rights (HAM).This study aims to test the significance of the influence of the implementation of Pancasila Education learning based on the Independent Curriculum on student discipline in obeying the rules at Tri Jaya Medan Middle School.
