Abstract

Abstract

Based on the results of situational analysis, problematic situations, strategies, and the proposed model as explained above, several conclusions can be drawn. The high number of Muslim people in Indonesia encourages companies to innovate in creating new products that are easier for the public to understand, especially related to Sharia insurance. The existing condition of the insurance industry is driven by the real growth trend of Sharia insurance customers, which can be used as a measure of industry growth. When compared with other countries, there are similarities and differences between Sharia and conventional insurance governance. This can be used as a comparative reference to optimize the management of the Sharia insurance industry. Based on the results of the situation analysis, it is known that the current condition of the Sharia insurance industry is not optimal because there has been no serious effort from the regulator to integrate all potential from upstream to downstream in all elements of the Sharia insurance industry. From the results of the interview analysis, it was revealed that the strategy considered to be the most effective and the main priority in developing the Sharia insurance industry is increasing human resource competency through intensive and continuous training. This aims to overcome the shortage of professional human resources in the fields of insurance and sharia economics while ensuring quality improvement.

Abstract

Abstract. This study analyzes the legal review of the criminal act of buying and selling positions by the Regent of Nganjuk Regency based on Decision Number 64/Pid.Sus-TPK/2021/PN.Sby. Buying and selling positions is categorised as bribery that damages the bureaucracy's integrity and state administrators' dignity. The method used is a sociological legal approach, which examines cases based on positive legal principles and their relevance to social conditions. The urgency of this study lies in the importance of enforcing the law against corrupt practices that undermine public trust in the government bureaucracy. The study results show that the defendant, Dupriono, was proven to have given Rp50,000,000.00 to the Regent of Nganjuk, Novi Rahman Hidhayat, to obtain the position of Head of Pace Sub-district. The panel of judges considered that the elements of the criminal offence charged by the Public Prosecutor had been fulfilled, and that the act was committed jointly with other parties. The judges' legal considerations were based on Article 5 paragraph (1) letters a and b, and Article 13 of Law Number 31 of 1999, in conjunction with Law Number 20 of 2001 concerning the Eradication of Corruption Crimes. The result shows that the defendant's actions constituted the criminal act of corruption in the form of gratification of office. This verdict emphasises the importance of enforcing anti-bribery laws as an instrument for maintaining the integrity of the bureaucracy and preventing abuse of authorities.

Abstract

This qualitative study explores how employee empowerment interacts with digital marketing strategies to enhance customer trust and business sustainability among micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs). Using a phenomenological approach, in-depth interviews with MSME owners and employees reveal that empowerment fosters creativity, adaptability, and emotional engagement, which in turn strengthen digital brand communication and customer relationships. Empowered employees act as authentic brand representatives, translating organizational values into customer experiences through personalized digital interactions. The findings demonstrate that empowerment not only improves internal motivation but also serves as a catalyst for innovation and ethical marketing practices. Furthermore, the study highlights the strategic alignment between human resource management and marketing functions, showing that empowerment bridges the internal culture of collaboration with external customer trust. Theoretically, it extends empowerment discourse into the digital marketing domain, emphasizing human-centered innovation as a foundation for sustainable brand growth. Practically, it suggests that MSMEs integrate empowerment-based leadership and digital capability development to maintain authenticity and competitiveness in the digital economy.

Abstract

This paper investigates factors that affect the adoption of Information Communication and Technology (ICT) among SMEs in fashion subsector in Indonesia. This study adopts Technology, Organization, and Environment (TOE) framework which consist technological factors such as relative advantage, compatibility, complexity, trialability, observability; organizational factors such as owner/manager IT knowledge, owner/manager innovativeness;and environmental factors namely competitive pressure, market turbulence, and institutional intervention. A questionnaire-based survey was used to collect data from 204 SME owners/managers. The results show that under technological factors, compatibility, complexity, trialability, and observability significantly and positively influence ICT adoption. However, relative advantage and complexity have significant but negative influence on ICT adoption. Moreover, the organizational factors namely owner/manager’s knowledge and innovativeness also contribute significantly to the adoption. Furthermore, among three environmental factors, competitive pressure and institutional intervention are determinants that influence ICT adoption in SMEs, whereas market turbulence shows no significant contribution toward the adoption of ICT. This study provides valuable insights for government and policy makers as well as for SMEs owner/managers to develop strategies that promote and foster the adoption of ICT.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) and Regional Expenditure on Regional Original Revenue (PAD) in Jambi City during the 2015–2024 period. PAD is a crucial indicator in assessing the fiscal independence of a region within the context of regional autonomy. By employing a quantitative approach through multiple linear regression analysis, this research examines both the simultaneous and partial relationships between the independent variables (GRDP and Regional Expenditure) and the dependent variable (PAD). The F-test results show that the regression model is statistically significant at the simultaneous level, with an F value of 15.067 and a significance level of 0.003 (p < 0.05). This indicates that GRDP and Regional Expenditure jointly have a significant effect on PAD. The model also has a coefficient of determination (R²) of 0.811, implying that 81.1% of the variation in PAD can be explained by the two variables. However, the t-test results reveal that only GRDP has a significant partial effect on PAD (p = 0.014), while Regional Expenditure does not show a significant influence (p = 0.632). Conclusion: These findings highlight the importance of regional economic growth in enhancing PAD and underscore the need to evaluate the effectiveness of Regional Expenditure in contributing to local revenue. The policy implication is that local governments should strengthen productive economic sectors that drive GRDP and allocate regional spending to activities with a direct impact on revenue generation. This approach is essential to achieving sustainable regional fiscal independence.

Abstract

Digital transformation in Indonesia toll road sector faces significant challenges related to information fragmentation among Toll Road Operators (BUJT), hindering the optimization of electronic service quality (E-Service Quality). This research aims to enhance E-Service Quality through the Soft Systems Methodology (SSM), integrated with Structural Equation Modeling-Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) analysis to understand key service dimensions. The findings indicate that integrating information across BUJTs, with a focus on informativeness, is critical to improving user satisfaction. The SSM-based conceptual model developed provides systemic solutions through policy integration, collaboration among BUJTs, and the development of an integrated information system. The assessment reveals that the proposed changes support toll road digital transformation and are culturally feasible. This study offers a strategic framework for improving toll road service quality, strengthening stakeholder collaboration, and creating a better user experience.

Abstract

This study examines the factors driving telemedicine adoption among physicians in Indonesia, employing an integrated framework based on the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) and the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT). The framework investigates the influence of performance expectancy, effort expectancy, facilitating conditions, social support, and economic value on physicians behavioral intention and actual use of telemedicine, with attitude acting as a key mediating variable. Additionally, demographic characteristics, including age, practice type, and practice duration, are explored as potential moderators in these relationships. Data was gathered from a cross-sectional survey of 244 physicians across various specialties and regions in Indonesia. The study findings, analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM), reveal that effort expectancy, facilitating conditions, social support, and economic value significantly influence both behavioral intention and actual use. In contrast, performance expectancy does not have a significant effect. Attitude plays a crucial mediating role in translating physicians perceptions into adoption behaviors. Moreover, practice type moderates the path from behavioral intention to actual use, with general practitioners more likely to adopt telemedicine than specialists. The results emphasize that telemedicine strategies should prioritize usability, economic value, social support, and institutional backing. This study contributes to the telemedicine adoption literature by extending TAM and UTAUT with attitudinal mediation and economic value, while highlighting emerging psychosocial factors in Southeast Asia. These insights offer practical guidance for healthcare managers and policymakers.
