Abstract

Ketahanan pangan berbasis komunitas atau kearifan lokal menjadi isu strategis dalam pembangunan berkelanjutan, terutama di wilayah perkotaan yang menghadapi keterbatasan lahan dan ketergantungan tinggi pada pasokan eksternal. Pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk memberdayakan Kelompok Wanita Tani (KWT) di Desa Pango Deah, Kecamatan Ulee Kareng, Banda Aceh, dalam meningkatkan ketahanan pangan keluarga berbasis kearifan lokal. Metode pengabdian menggunakan pendekatan partisipatif melalui tahapan sosialisasi, pelatihan, pendampingan, dan evaluasi. Kegiatan difokuskan pada optimalisasi pekarangan, pemanfaatan tanaman lokal, penguatan kapasitas kelembagaan KWT, serta pengolahan hasil pertanian rumah tangga. Hasil pengabdian menunjukkan peningkatan pengetahuan dan keterampilan anggota KWT dalam budidaya pangan lokal, meningkatnya ketersediaan pangan rumah tangga, serta tumbuhnya kesadaran kolektif terhadap pentingnya kemandirian pangan. Selain itu, program ini memperkuat peran perempuan sebagai agen perubahan dalam pembangunan pangan berkelanjutan berbasis nilai-nilai lokal Aceh. Kegiatan ini berkontribusi pada penguatan ketahanan pangan masyarakat sekaligus pelestarian kearifan lokal sebagai fondasi pembangunan sosial-ekonomi yang inklusif dan berkelanjutan.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis tingkat kesadaran religius siswa kelas VIII MTsN 2 Banda Aceh serta pengaruh tantangan globalisasi terhadap perilaku keagamaan mereka. Pendekatan yang digunakan adalah mixed methods dengan desain explanatory sequential, yaitu tahap kuantitatif diikuti dengan wawancara kualitatif. Sampel penelitian berjumlah 240 siswa yang dipilih melalui teknik proportional stratified random sampling. Data dikumpulkan menggunakan angket skala Likert yang diadaptasi dari Indonesian-Psychological Measurement of Islamic Religiousness (I-PMIR), serta wawancara semi-terstruktur dengan guru fikih dan siswa terpilih. Hipotesis penelitian menyatakan bahwa terdapat hubungan negatif antara tantangan globalisasi dan tingkat kesadaran religius siswa. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa tingkat kesadaran religius berada pada kategori tinggi (rata-rata 80,4%), sedangkan uji korelasi Pearson menghasilkan nilai r = -0.421 (p < 0.05) yang menandakan korelasi negatif signifikan. Secara kualitatif, pengaruh media sosial dan budaya populer menjadi faktor penurunan spiritualitas, namun lingkungan madrasah dan kultur religius Aceh terbukti mampu menjadi benteng moral dalam menghadapi arus globalisasi.

Abstract

The growing prevalence of mental health issues in the digital era reflects a deepening spiritual void among modern individuals, especially younger generations. This study aims to analyze the relationship between Islamic worship and mental health from the perspective of modern Islamic psychology of religion. Using a qualitative descriptive approach through library research, data were collected from the Qur’an, Hadith, classical Islamic texts, and contemporary studies on psychology of religion and mental health. The findings indicate that acts of worship particularly prayer (shalat), remembrance (dhikr), and fasting (sawm) play a therapeutic role in maintaining psychological balance by regulating emotions, nurturing life meaning, and strengthening spiritual resilience. The holistic view of the unity of body, intellect, and soul found in classical Islamic thought remains consistent with modern theories such as Pargament’s religious coping and Frankl’s logotherapy. The study also highlights the importance of family, education, and spiritual communities as protective factors for digital generations vulnerable to stress and existential anxiety. Therefore, integrating Islamic worship values within the framework of modern psychology of religion offers both conceptual and practical solutions for enhancing mental health in contemporary society. Fenomena meningkatnya gangguan kesehatan mental di era digital menunjukkan adanya kekeringan spiritual yang dialami manusia modern, terutama di kalangan generasi muda. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis hubungan antara ibadah dan kesehatan mental dalam perspektif psikologi agama Islam modern. Menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kepustakaan, data diperoleh dari Al-Qur’an, hadis, literatur klasik Islam, serta kajian kontemporer mengenai psikologi agama dan kesehatan mental. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ibadah terutama shalat, dzikir, dan puasa memiliki fungsi terapeutik yang nyata terhadap keseimbangan psikologis. Ibadah berperan dalam regulasi emosi, pembentukan makna hidup, dan penguatan resiliensi spiritual. Konsep kesatuan jasad, akal, dan jiwa yang diperkenalkan oleh pemikir Islam klasik tetap relevan dengan teori religious coping (Pargament) dan logoterapi (Frankl). Selain itu, penelitian ini menyoroti pentingnya pendidikan dan komunitas spiritual sebagai benteng mental bagi generasi digital yang rentan terhadap stres dan kehilangan arah hidup. Dengan demikian, integrasi nilai-nilai ibadah dalam kerangka psikologi agama Islam menjadi solusi konseptual dan praktis dalam membangun kesehatan mental manusia modern.

Abstract

Previous hypnoteaching studies in education predominantly focus on learning outcomes and motivation improvement, while limited attention has been given to the psycho-pedagogical mechanisms of conscious and subconscious mind engagement from students’ lived learning experiences. This gap leaves unanswered questions regarding how hypnoteaching operates internally during classroom interaction, particularly in religious education contexts. This study aims to explore how the conscious and subconscious mind are empowered through hypnoteaching and how students experience light trance conditions in the learning process. Employing a qualitative case study approach, the research was conducted in an Islamic junior secondary school (MTs) involving one teacher and twenty-four eighth-grade students in Pendidikan Agama Islam classes over eight weeks. Data were collected through classroom observations, in-depth interviews, and learning documentation, and analyzed using thematic coding. The findings reveal three major themes: (1) emotional comfort as a gateway to light trance, (2) reduced critical resistance and increased learning receptivity, and (3) internalization of positive belief systems through repetitive suggestion. These findings demonstrate that hypnoteaching functions not merely as a motivational technique but as a humanistic pedagogical mechanism that restructures students’ learning consciousness. This study contributes theoretically by extending hypnoteaching discourse beyond outcome-based evaluation toward experiential and psychopedagogical analysis, and practically by offering an evidence-based framework for reflective hypnoteaching implementation in Islamic education.

Abstract

This study aims to develop gamified learning media using the Quizizz application for the Islamic Religious Education and Character subject. The research was conducted at public junior high schools in Banda Aceh, Indonesia, involving Grade VII students and Islamic Education teachers who had experience implementing digital media in the classroom. The study was driven by the low levels of student motivation and participation caused by the dominance of conventional lecture-based methods. Quizizz was chosen as the development platform for its game-based features—such as points, leaderboards, avatars, and instant feedback—that are known to enhance student engagement and interaction. A Research and Development (R&D) approach was employed using the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation), providing a systematic framework for the creation, testing, and refinement of the gamified media. Data were collected through participatory observation, semi-structured interviews, and documentation, and analyzed qualitatively using an interactive model. Each phase of ADDIE was integrated with data collection: identifying student learning needs, designing gamified content based on Islamic values, developing the product with expert validation, implementing it through field trials, and evaluating its impact. The findings demonstrate that the gamified media effectively fostered a more interactive, enjoyable, and motivational learning atmosphere. There was a significant increase in students’ engagement, participation, and academic achievement. Teachers also reported positive experiences using Quizizz for instruction and real-time assessment. The study concludes that gamification can serve as an effective pedagogical innovation for Islamic education, promoting meaningful learning experiences aligned with religious and character-building goals.

Abstract

Loneliness among Generation Z has become a pressing public health issue, reflecting the paradox of increasing isolation despite high digital connectivity. This study aimed to test a multidimensional model integrating psychological, social, and spiritual factors to explain loneliness, with social support examined as a key mediating mechanism. Employing a quantitative cross-sectional design, data were collected from 527 Indonesian Generation Z participants using validated instruments, and analyzed through GSCA-SEM and path analysis with JASP. The findings revealed that self-compassion (β = -0.005, p = 0.015) and self-acceptance (β = -0.006, p = 0.007) directly reduced loneliness, while gratitude unexpectedly exhibited a positive association (β = 0.015, p = 0.005). Social support significantly mediated the influence of both social interaction (β = -0.037, p < 0.001) and self-compassion (β = -0.040, p < 0.001), explaining 54.7% of the variance (GFI = 0.947). These results challenge conventional theories, demonstrating that gratitude may operate differently in digital-native contexts and highlighting the central role of social support in translating interaction and psychological resources into reduced loneliness. The study offers theoretical innovation by proposing an integrated framework of loneliness and provides practical implications for developing culturally sensitive interventions for Generation Z in the digital era.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the strategies employed by Islamic Religious Education (PAI) teachers to foster students’ learning motivation at SMP Negeri 3 Beutong. The research adopts a qualitative approach using a case study design. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with a PAI teacher, the school principal, and six students, classroom observations, and document analysis. Data analysis was conducted through data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing, supported by triangulation techniques to ensure the credibility of the findings. The findings indicate three main strategies, namely persuasive and continuous verbal encouragement, the application of contextual and varied instructional methods, and teachers’ exemplarity accompanied by the creation of a conducive and participatory learning environment. These strategies contribute to strengthening both intrinsic and extrinsic learning motivation, as reflected in students’ engagement in PAI learning activities. This study provides empirical insights into the implementation of motivation-oriented pedagogical strategies in Islamic Religious Education at the junior secondary school level. The findings may serve as a reference for PAI teachers and educational stakeholders in designing more adaptive, learner-centered instructional practices. Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis strategi guru Pendidikan Agama Islam (PAI) dalam membangun motivasi belajar siswa di SMP Negeri 3 Beutong. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan desain studi kasus. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara mendalam dengan satu guru Pendidikan Agama Islam, satu kepala sekolah, dan enam siswa, observasi proses pembelajaran, serta studi dokumentasi. Analisis data dilakukan melalui tahapan reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan dengan teknik triangulasi untuk menjamin keabsahan temuan penelitian. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa strategi guru PAI dalam membangun motivasi belajar siswa dilakukan melalui tiga bentuk strategi utama, yaitu pemberian motivasi verbal yang persuasif dan berkelanjutan, penerapan variasi metode pembelajaran yang kontekstual, serta keteladanan guru yang disertai penciptaan suasana belajar yang kondusif dan partisipatif. Strategi-strategi tersebut berkontribusi dalam memperkuat motivasi intrinsik dan ekstrinsik siswa yang tercermin dari keterlibatan siswa dalam proses pembelajaran PAI. Penelitian ini memberikan gambaran empiris mengenai praktik strategi pedagogik yang berorientasi pada motivasi belajar dalam pembelajaran Pendidikan Agama Islam pada jenjang sekolah menengah pertama. Temuan penelitian ini diharapkan dapat menjadi rujukan bagi guru PAI dan pemangku kebijakan pendidikan dalam merancang pembelajaran yang lebih adaptif dan berorientasi pada kebutuhan peserta didik.

Abstract

Qur'an education has a fundamental role in shaping the character of rural communities. In Indonesia, this central role is carried out collaboratively by kiai and nyai. This article aims to analyze their dual role in grounding the values of the Qur'an, that is, transforming it into a practical guideline for life. The background of this research departs from the lack of literature that comprehensively examines the role of nyai, which is often overlooked, despite its very vital contribution to the education of women and children. The research method used is qualitative with a case study approach. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, participatory observations, and documentation studies in Godog village, Laren District, Lamongan Regency. The results of the study show (1) the collaborative role of Kiai and Nyai. They carry out complementary roles. The kiai, as a formal leader, is responsible for the teaching of theoretical sciences such as tafsir and fiqh. Meanwhile, Nyai focuses on informal education, teaching the reading and writing of the Qur’an. The collaboration creates a holistic education system. (2) Customary teaching methods in Qur'an Education: Qur'an education carried out by kiai and nyai in rural taklim assemblies has a prominent characteristic. (3) The impact of kiai and nyai on the morality and character of the community. The impact can be seen from the formation of an honest, tolerant, and simple community character. This study concludes that the synergy of kiai and nyai is the key to the success of Qur'an education in rural areas.

Abstract

Adolescents (ages 10–19) face rising mental health challenges globally, including high rates of depression and anxiety. Research suggests that active parental involvement significantly improves adolescents psychological outcomes. For example, a recent meta-analysis found that treatments involving parents yielded better results than youth-only interventions. At the same time, stable personality traits influence adolescents’ vulnerability to mental health problems. High neuroticism predicts more depressive symptoms, whereas extraversion and conscientiousness often predict fewer depressive symptoms. However, the role of personality awareness—parents’ understanding of their adolescents’ individual personality profile—has been underexplored. This conceptual study employs a comprehensive literature review approach to explore the interrelated roles of parental engagement and sensitivity to adolescent personality in collaboratively supporting, promoting, and safeguarding the mental health and psychological well-being of adolescents. We find that (1) parental emotional support and authoritative parenting serve as protective factors; (2) many Indonesian youths report experiencing depression and desiring greater parental understanding; (3) personality-tailored support (e.g., recognizing a shy adolescent’s need for gentle communication) could improve outcomes; and (4) integrated programs involving parents in psychoeducation are recommended. These findings suggest that systematically training parents to recognize, understand, and respect their adolescents’ unique personalities significantly enhances the overall effectiveness and benefits of parental involvement. Concretely, community and school initiatives should include parent-focused components on adolescent personality and mental health. An empathetic parenting approach, based on knowledge of each adolescent's unique personality, can be a key element and important strategy for promoting adolescent well-being.
