Abstract

With the rapid development of automated detection system using deep learning techniques on Chest X-ray (CXR) image datasets to the subjective assessment performed by healthcare professionals. Preprocessing is critical in medical image analysis as it helps highlight important anatomical features while suppressing irrelevant information, thus enabling the model to focus on meaningful patterns. In this paper, we investigate the impact of image preprocessing techniques on the performance of a tuberculosis prediction system based on CXR images using a deep learning approach. We used the “Tuberculosis Chest X-rays (Shenzhen)” dataset, which contains 1,344 CXR images (672 TB cases and 672 normal cases). We propose a five-step preprocessing pipeline consisting of resizing, heavy sharpen filtering, CLAHE (Contrast Limited Adaptive Histogram Equalization), horizontal flip augmentation, and data normalization. The findings indicate that the model utilising preprocessing markedly surpasses the one lacking it, attaining an accuracy, precision, recall, and F1-score of 71%, in contrast to 51%, 50%, 50%, and 36% without preprocessing, respectively.  This study enhances the existing research on the application of deep learning in medical diagnostics and emphasises the significance of preprocessing for attaining dependable, high-performance systems.

Abstract

The Digital Population Identity Application provides convenience for users to access and manage their population data digitally. Based on the increasing usage of the Digital Population Identity Application on the Google Play Store, various user reviews of the application have emerged. Therefore, sentiment analysis is needed to provide a deeper understanding of user perceptions and to classify user reviews of the Digital Population Identity Application. Sentiment analysis is a computational study of opinions, feelings, and emotions expressed in text, using the K-Nearest Neighbors method, which is a classification method based on the closest distance or similarity to objects in the training data. Using 5000 relevant review data from September 2022 to December 2023, after labeling them into positive, negative, and neutral sentiment classes, the results show 3581 negative sentiments, 1031 positive sentiments, and 388 neutral sentiments. Testing was conducted by applying the K-Nearest Neighbors method in the classification stage, testing this method by varying K values from 1 to 10. The best results were obtained with a training data ratio of 90% to testing data ratio of 10%. The best results were achieved at K values of 8, 9, and 10, with an accuracy of 81%, precision of 82%, recall of 95%, and an F1-Score of 88%. With a training data ratio of 70% to testing data ratio of 30%, the best results were obtained at K values of 6, 7, 8, 9, and 10, with an accuracy of 80%, precision of 81%, recall of 95%, and an F1-Score of 88%. Based on the results of this research, the K-Nearest Neighbors method can be used for sentiment classification of user reviews with good results.

Abstract

This study aims to optimize the K-Means algorithm to improve the clustering model of fashion goods sales transaction data at the josi.id store over a period of seven months. One of the main challenges is the lack of understanding of the characteristics of sales transaction data at the josi.id store, as well as the difficulty in identifying products that cause spikes on big days. With the K-Means clustering method used to group data, the optimal K value, attributes that affect the Davies Bouldin index (DBI) value. The analysis of the results shows that the key attribute that affects the k value is the TYPE OF ITEM with K = 3 as the optimal value, has the lowest DBI value of 0.258 compared to other cluster configurations. With the characteristics of cluster 0 (429 items) showing dominant sales during the Eid season. Cluster 1 (343 items) shows high sales during the holiday period. Cluster 2 (309 items) has stable sales during weekdays. These results show good separation and uniformity of clusters in each cluster. The attribute of ITEM TYPE, based on the characteristics of each cluster is Bracket clothes products show the highest total sales of up to 7 million, supported by traffic (love feature) that is often viewed. Blouses have total sales of under 2 million, while dresses show great variation with total sales between 1 and more than 3 million. Skirts have a more diverse sales distribution, with transactions reaching 3 million. which includes categories such as Dresses, bracket clothes, Tops, and Skirts, plays an important role in grouping sales transaction data, especially for seasonal products such as during Eid.

Abstract

As the use of digital payment systems through e-money increases, inflation control requires a measurable monetary policy mechanism. This study aims to examine the effect of the money supply on the inflation rate and measure the moderating role of e-money transactions. This study employs a quantitative method using time series data for the period from January 2018 to March 2025, resulting in a total of 87 months. Data analysis uses simple linear regression and the Moderated Regression Analysis (MRA) absolute difference test to test the moderating effect of e-money transactions. The results of this study indicate that there is no significant effect between the money supply and the inflation rate. However, the moderating role of e-money transactions can significantly strengthen the relationship between the money supply and the inflation rate. This finding suggests that the monetary policy mechanism should consider technological developments that can impact the payment system, thereby providing a basis for more accurate decision-making.
