Abstract

Konsumsi rokok pada masyarakat kiat meningkat setiap tahunnya. Penggunaan rokok saat ini tidak hanya pada orang dewasa saja namun juga di kalangan anak-anak. Tingginya jumlah perokok aktif pada orang dewasa juga mempengaruhi perilaku merokok pada anak-anak. Rendahnya kontrol orang tua dan ketidakpedulian lingkungan sekitar mengakibatkan fenomena ini semakin marak terjadi. Tujuan kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah membangun kesadaran dan ketahanan serta memberikan edukasi tentang bahaya rokok pada usia anak sedini mungkin. Pelaksanaan pengabdian dilakukan dengan metode ceramah/penyuluhan, diskusi dan simulasi. Mitra yang terlibat adalah siswa kelas 5 dan 6 SD Negeri 05 Dewantara yang berjumlah 120 orang. Hasil pengabdian ini menunjukkan tingkat pemahaman siswa yang sangat tinggi terkait bahaya rokok terhadap kesehatan setelah diberikan edukasi dan di evaluasi dengan menggunakan metode simulasi (game).

Abstract

The rapid evolution of technology and globalization has underscored the importance of 21st-century skills, including critical thinking, creativity, collaboration, and communication. Project-Based Learning (PBL) has emerged as a powerful instructional approach to meet these evolving educational demands. This study examines the effectiveness of PBL in fostering 21st-century skills among learners across various educational contexts. Employing a systematic review of empirical studies and experimental research, the analysis reveals that PBL significantly enhances students' problem-solving abilities, promotes innovative thinking, strengthens teamwork competencies, and improves effective communication. Furthermore, PBL environments stimulate student engagement and self-directed learning, aligning academic experiences with real-world applications. The findings suggest that integrating PBL strategies into curricula not only supports cognitive development but also equips learners with the essential skills required to thrive in the modern workforce. The study concludes with recommendations for educators to adopt flexible, interdisciplinary, and student-centered PBL models to maximize learning outcomes and skill acquisition.

Abstract

This study aimed to determine whether there is an influence of the Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) model on the mathematical reasoning abilities of grade VII students at SMP PAB Stabat. This research was conducted at SMP PAB Stabat during the odd semester, with the population consisting of all grade VII students. The method used in this study was a quasi-experiment with a pretest-posttest control group design. The sampling technique used was simple random sampling, from which two classes were selected as the sample: class VII-2 as the experimental group and class VII-3 as the control group. The prerequisite tests included the Lilliefors test for data normality and the Fisher's test for data homogeneity. Data analysis was conducted using a t-test. Based on the prerequisite tests and subsequent analysis, it was found that there is an influence of the CTL learning model on the mathematical reasoning abilities of grade VII students at SMP PAB Stabat.

Abstract

The Museum of the Story Sultanate of Pasir Regency in East Kalimantan is a museum that takes the historical history of the story of the Sultanate of Pasir events so that people and visitors know how the story of the Sultanate of Pasir events and also know and remember the sultans who have existed..The design of this. story museum space.uses the.concept of sequence with the problem seeking method as a problem solver. The concept of sequence refers to the sequence of spaces that ultimately the circulation of space can be.in line with the.story of the Sultanate of Pasir. In order for visitors to understand what is displayed in the exhibition display space, it.is necessary.to have a sense.of space character.and.visualization so that the sequence to be achieved can be an experience and insight for visitors.

Abstract

Anak-anak merupakan salah satu kelompok populasi yang rentan tertular penyakit tuberkulosis. Beberapa tahun terakhir telah terjadi peningkatan prevalensi TB pada anak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis karakteristik anak yang menderita tuberkulosis paru. Penelitian dilakukan di Rumah Sakit Cut Meutia Aceh Utara. Penentuan sampel menggunakan teknik purposive sampling dengan menetapkan kriteria inklusi berupa pasien TB paru yang berusia 0-14 tahun. Data penelitian diperoleh dari data rekam medik periode Februari 2022 hingga Februari 2023. Data dianalisis berdasarkan karakteristik pasien TB paru berdasarkan jenis kelamin, usia, status gizi, keteraturan kunjungan, riwayat pengobatan dan hasil pengobatan. Hasil studi menunjukkan bahwa kejadian tuberkulosis paru pada anak didominasi oleh anak berjenis kelamin perempuan (52,5%). Sebagian besar subjek berusia 5-14 tahun (54,2%). Berdasarkan status gizi, mayoritas responden memiliki status gizi kurang (30,5%). Sebagian besar responden merupakan pasien baru/kasus baru (81,4%). Mayoritas subjek melakukan kunjungan ke fasilitas kesehatan sesuai jadwal pengobatan (67,8%) dan telah mendapatkan pengobatan yang lengkap (22,0%). Diharapkan kepada petugas kesehatan untuk rutin memberikan edukasi dan promosi kesehatan mengenai faktor risiko dan pengobatan TB pada orang tua agar dapat mencegah timbulnya kasus baru.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of transformational leadership by the principal in improving learning quality at SMA Negeri 2 Binjai. The research is grounded in the understanding that the principal serves as an agent of change who fosters an innovative, collaborative, and quality-oriented learning culture. A descriptive qualitative approach was employed, using observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation as data collection techniques. The research subjects included the principal, teachers, and students as key informants. The findings reveal that the principal practices transformational leadership through four core dimensions: idealized influence, inspirational motivation, intellectual stimulation, and individualized consideration. The principal acts as a moral role model committed to the school’s vision of quality improvement, encourages teachers to think creatively, and provides personal support for their professional growth. This leadership approach has positively influenced teacher participation, instructional innovation, and student learning motivation. The study concludes that transformational leadership significantly contributes to creating a conducive and quality-oriented learning environment. The implication suggests that school leadership practices should emphasize participatory and inspirational approaches, while it is recommended that principals continue to strengthen collaborative and innovative cultures to address the challenges of educational quality in the digital era.

Abstract

Mathematics has an instrumental function in enhancing the quality of Indonesian citizens. However, as science and technology progress and the digital age intensifies, it has become imperative to modify the mathematical learning paradigm to align it with the demands of the 21st century. The research objectives were to ascertain the following: The study sought to answer three research questions(1) the difference in the improvement of mathematical critical thinking ability of students who are given problem-based learning with students who are given direct learning; (2) the interaction of learning with initial mathematics ability on the improvement of students' mathematical critical thinking ability; (3) the difference in the improvement of learning independence of students who are given problem-based learning with students who are given direct learning. The findings of the study can be summarized as follows: (1) students who received problem-based learning exhibited a greater improvement in their mathematical critical thinking abilities than those who received direct learning; (2) there was no interaction between learning and initial mathematical ability on the improvement of mathematical critical thinking abilities; (3) students who received problem-based learning demonstrated a greater improvement in their learning independence than those who received direct learning.

Abstract

Wabah infeksi SARS-CoV2 yang terus meningkat tentu berdampak pada upaya resusitasi dan memunculkan kebutuhan untuk memodifikasi praktik resusitasi jantung paru (RJP) yang telah ada. Komplikasi seperti hipoksemia akibat gagal nafas akut, jejas miokard, aritmia ventrikular, dan syok banyak dijumpai dan menyebabkan pasien tersebut lebih berisiko mengalami henti jantung. Tenaga kesehatan merupakan profesi dengan risiko tertinggi tertular penyakit ini. Risiko ini semakin nyata seiring maraknya kelangkaan Alat Pelindung Diri (APD) di seluruh dunia. Upaya resusitasi meningkatkan risiko penularan terhadap tenaga kesehatan karena berbagai alasan. Pertama, RJP meliputi berbagai prosedur yang menghasilkan aerosol, termasuk didalamnya kompresi dada, ventilasi tekanan positif, dan pemasangan alat bantu nafas lanjut (advanced airway). Selama prosedur ini, partikel virus dapat tersuspensi di udara dengan waktu paruh kurang-lebih 1 jam dan dihirup oleh orang-orang yang ada di sekitarnya. Kedua, upaya resusitasi mengharuskan sejumlah penolong untuk bekerja dalam jarak dekat baik satu sama lain maupun dengan pasien. Terakhir, henti jantung merupakan kondisi dimana pasien mendapat resusitasi dalam waktu cepat dan berpotensi menyebabkan kemerosotan kewaspadaan standar untuk mengontrol infeksi. Salah satu cara yang efektif dalam mencegah peningkatan resiko infeksi adalah dengan memberikan edukasi dan pelatihan ketrampilan RJP pada pasien dengan COVID 19 dengan kontinyu dan konsisten yang bertujuan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan tenaga kesehatan dalam meminimalisir resiko tertular infeksi COVID 19 pada saat melakukan RJP yang menimbulkan aerosol serta adanya fasilitas sarana dan prasaranan yang menunjang tindakan pencegahan. Target dari pengabdian ini adalah tersedianya tenaga kesehatan yang memiliki pengetahuan dan keterampilan yang baik tentang RJP pada pasien COVID 19. Sedangkan target aspek sarana-prasarana penunjang pelayanan kesehatan yaitu tersedianya alat pelindung diri sebagai fasilitas yang digunakan dalam pencegahan penyebaran COVID-19.

Abstract

Nursing documentation is a critical element in ensuring patient safety, continuity of care, and professional accountability. However, the practice of documentation often encounters multiple challenges, including insufficient training, high workloads, limited resources, and the lack of clear operational guidelines. These barriers can impact the quality of care and patient safety, necessitating an in-depth exploration to understand and address them effectively. This scoping review aims to identify and analyze the factors hindering nursing care documentation, focusing on technical, individual, organizational, and contextual barriers across various healthcare settings. This review includes studies involving nurses and the factors affecting nursing care documentation. The concepts reviewed include barriers to documentation, such as individual, technical, organizational, and contextual obstacles. The context encompasses various healthcare settings, including hospitals, clinics, and community healthcare services across different countries. A comprehensive literature search was conducted using databases such as PubMed, ScienceDirect, Google Scholar, and ProQuest. Articles published between January 2020 and December 2024 were assessed using the JBI and MMAT critical appraisal tools. The selection process, based on PRISMA guidelines, identified 15 eligible articles for analysis. Key barriers to nursing documentation include inadequate training, low technological literacy, high workloads, infrastructure limitations, low motivation, and the absence of consistent documentation guidelines. These barriers affect the quality and accuracy of documentation, with implications for patient safety and service efficiency. Additionally, the findings highlight the need for improved supervision, auditing, and investments in documentation technology. Barriers to nursing care documentation require holistic interventions, including continuous training, technological infrastructure enhancement, and the implementation of clear operational guidelines. Further research is needed to explore effective solutions and their applications in diverse contexts.

Abstract

In this research, the aim is to determine the effect of self-confidence on student exam results. The type of research used is ex post quantitative. The sample in this research was class XII students. Data collection techniques use questionnaires and semester MID exam results. From the results of the analysis carried out using the ex post facto method, it can be seen that there is a relevant influence on self-confidence regarding the results of the class XII mathematics exam at Delisha Private Vocational School. This can be seen from the results obtained with the value = 2.624 > = 2.100 (significance level 0.017). Based on this explanation, it is hoped that students can have self-confidence and positive study habits, as well as improve their learning outcomes. Furthermore, teachers are expected to make learning more enjoyable than before.
