Abstract

In the 21st century, scientific literacy is an essential skill for students, but many challenges remain in learning it. To address these challenges, integrating STEM-based learning media offers an innovative solution by promoting contextual, interactive, and project-based learning that enhances students’ engagement, critical thinking, and understanding of scientific concepts. This study aims to systematically review the role of STEM-based learning media in improving students' science literacy, identify the characteristics of effective media, and the factors that influence their successful implementation. This study used a systematic review method following PRISMA guidelines, analysing 21 selected articles from Google Scholar, Web of Science, DOAJ, and ERIC databases, with a publication range of 2019-2025. The analysis shows that STEM-based media effectively improve students' understanding of science concepts, critical thinking skills, and digital literacy. Interactive, project-based and contextualised media proved most effective. The main supporting factors for successful implementation include teacher competence, valid and practical media design, and support for the learning environment. This study emphasises the importance of integrating STEM-based learning media to improve overall science literacy. Future research is recommended to explore the long-term impact of STEM-based learning media on students' science literacy across diverse educational levels and cultural contexts, and to develop adaptive digital tools that support personalised learning and teacher facilitation.

Abstract

This study aimed to investigate EFL students’ perceptions of using LyricsTraining.com as a pre-listening media to enhance readiness in listening activities. A quantitative descriptive design was employed, involving 70 students from SMAN 4 Payakumbuh. Data were collected using a 21-item Likert-scale questionnaire based on the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM), covering three indicators: Perceived Ease of Use (PEOU), Perceived Usefulness (PU), and Attitude Toward Using (ATU). Each item was rated on a four-point scale (1 = strongly disagree to 4 = strongly agree). Descriptive statistical analysis was conducted to calculate the mean scores for each indicator. The results show that students perceive LyricsTraining.com very positively, with mean scores of 3.45 for PEOU, 3.43 for PU, and 3.34 for ATU, all categorized as “very positive.” These findings indicate that the platform is easy to use, useful, and effective in preparing students for classroom listening activities.

Abstract

The development of Polyacrylonitrile (PAN)–Polyethersulfone (PES) nanofiber membranes loaded with Reduced Graphene Oxide (rGO) offers an innovative and sustainable solution for water filtration. This study synthesized and characterized PAN–PES loaded rGO nanofiber membranes using an electrospinning technique. A PAN–PES mixture (8:2 mass ratio) at 10–20 wt% served as the matrix, with 48 mg of rGO added. The membranes were analyzed using scanning electron microscopy, Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), X-ray diffraction (XRD), mechanical testing, water absorption, immersion resistance, and clean water permeability (CWP). The resulting nanofibers exhibited defect-free, bead-free, and uniform morphology with diameters ranging from 389 to 757 nm. FTIR confirmed hydrogen bonding between PAN–PES and rGO, while XRD showed sharp peaks with a maximum crystallinity of 33.52%. The membrane displayed a Young’s modulus of 57.83 MPa and remained stable after 32 days of immersion. It demonstrated superhydrophilic behavior with a contact angle of 72.4o to 74.3o, sustaining a stable water flux at 6.0 bar for 60 min, yielding a permeability of 3.25 to 23 L/m2.h.bar and an equilibrium water content of 69 to 91%. Surface morphology before and after wastewater filtration revealed effective contaminant capture and strong antifouling resistance. These results confirm that PAN–PES loaded rGO nanofiber membranes possess excellent mechanical stability, high permeability, and superior wettability, providing a promising pathway for advanced, sustainable water filtration applications.

Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi informasi mendorong organisasi untuk melakukan transformasi digital dalam pengelolaan administrasi guna meningkatkan efektivitas dan efisiensi kerja. PT. Cahaya Pelita Andhika sebagai perusahaan yang bergerak di bidang Perkebunan Kelapa Sawit masih menghadapi permasalahan dalam pengelolaan arsip surat masuk dan surat keluar yang dilakukan secara manual. Proses pengarsipan konvensional menyebabkan kendala seperti keterlambatan pencarian dokumen, risiko kehilangan arsip, duplikasi data, serta rendahnya akurasi informasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merancang dan membangun sistem digitalisasi manajemen administrasi pengarsipan surat berbasis web guna mendukung pengelolaan arsip yang lebih terstruktur, aman, dan mudah diakses. Metode pengembangan sistem yang digunakan adalah Waterfall, yang terdiri dari tahapan analisis kebutuhan, perancangan sistem, implementasi, pengujian, dan pemeliharaan. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi, wawancara, dan studi pustaka untuk memperoleh kebutuhan sistem secara menyeluruh. Hasil dari penelitian ini berupa rancangan dan implementasi sistem pengarsipan surat yang mampu mengelola data surat masuk dan surat keluar, melakukan pencarian arsip secara cepat, serta menghasilkan laporan administrasi secara otomatis. Dengan diterapkannya sistem ini, diharapkan PT. Cahaya Pelita Andhika dapat meningkatkan efisiensi kerja administrasi, meminimalkan kesalahan pengelolaan arsip, serta mendukung pengambilan keputusan yang lebih cepat dan akurat.

Abstract

Usability website merupakan faktor penting dalam menentukan keberhasilan media digital yang digunakan sebagai sarana edukasi. Website Museum Kopi berfungsi sebagai media edukasi yang menyajikan informasi mengenai produk nabati dan hewani yang berkaitan dengan kopi. Namun, tingkat kemudahan penggunaan website tersebut belum pernah dievaluasi secara sistematis. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis usability website Museum Kopi sebagai media edukasi produk nabati dan hewani menggunakan pendekatan System Usability Scale (SUS). Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode kuantitatif deskriptif dengan menyebarkan kuesioner SUS kepada pengguna setelah mereka berinteraksi dengan website. Data dikumpulkan dari responden yang mengakses konten edukasi pada website Museum Kopi. Nilai SUS dihitung untuk mengetahui tingkat usability website. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa website Museum Kopi memiliki tingkat usability tertentu berdasarkan standar penilaian SUS, sehingga dapat digunakan untuk menilai tingkat kepuasan pengguna, kemudahan penggunaan, dan efektivitas website sebagai media edukasi. Hasil analisis ini diharapkan dapat menjadi dasar dalam pengembangan dan peningkatan kualitas website Museum Kopi.

Abstract

The process of new student admission involves the collection and management of sensitive personal data, which requires strong data security to prevent misuse and unauthorized access. SMP Swasta Pencawan Medan faces challenges in ensuring the confidentiality and integrity of prospective student data in its web-based admission system. This study aims to develop a secure web-based new student admission system by implementing data security mechanisms to protect against common web attacks such as SQL Injection, Cross-Site Scripting (XSS), and Cross-Site Request Forgery (CSRF). The research method used is system development, which includes system analysis, design, implementation, and testing. The system is developed using PHP as the programming language and MySQL as the database, with the application of the SHA-1 algorithm to secure sensitive data such as passwords. The results show that the developed system is capable of improving data security, maintaining data integrity, and preventing unauthorized access. The implementation of security mechanisms in the system contributes to a safer and more reliable new student admission process, thereby increasing trust from parents and the community.

Abstract

Inventory management is an important activity in educational institutions to ensure that facilities and infrastructure can be monitored and utilized effectively. SMP Negeri 18 Medan still manages inventory data manually using separate physical records and spreadsheet files, which leads to data redundancy, recording errors, and difficulties in searching and reporting inventory information. This study aims to develop a web-based inventory data management information system to improve the efficiency and accuracy of inventory management at SMPN 18 Medan. The research methodology used is a software development method based on the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC), which includes requirement analysis, system design, implementation, and testing. The system is developed using HTML, CSS, PHP, JavaScript, and MySQL as the database. The results show that the developed system is able to organize inventory data centrally, facilitate data search, support asset monitoring, and generate inventory reports more efficiently. The system helps reduce recording errors and supports better decision-making related to school asset management.

Abstract

Environmental degradation in Indonesia remains a serious issue due to the low level of public awareness in maintaining environmental cleanliness and sustainability. Conventional environmental education methods are considered less effective, especially for digital generations who require interactive and engaging learning media. Therefore, this study aims to design and develop EcoHike, an educational game with a mountain hiking theme based on Roblox Studio as a medium for environmental education. The EcoHike game is designed by integrating concepts of environmental cleanliness, nature conservation, and responsibility toward nature into interactive gameplay. The research method focuses on the game design and development stage using the Lua programming language, with limited testing on functionality and user experience aspects. The results of this study are expected to increase players’ awareness and understanding of the importance of environmental sustainability through a game-based learning approach, as well as demonstrate the potential of Roblox Studio as an innovative and accessible digital learning media platform.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis kebutuhan integrasi prinsip deep learning dan model Project-Based Learning (PjBL) bermuatan sastra lokal dalam pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia di SMP Negeri 2 Woja. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif dengan melibatkan guru Bahasa Indonesia dan siswa kelas VIII sebagai subjek penelitian. Data diperoleh melalui observasi, wawancara, dan analisis dokumen pembelajaran. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia di sekolah mitra masih dominan berorientasi pada hafalan, kurang mendorong analisis mendalam, serta minim mengaitkan karya sastra lokal sebagai sumber belajar. Guru menyatakan kebutuhan kuat terhadap model pembelajaran yang mampu memperkuat kemampuan berpikir tingkat tinggi, memperkaya konteks budaya, dan menyediakan pengalaman belajar berbasis proyek. Integrasi deep learning dan PjBL bermuatan sastra lokal dipandang relevan karena dapat meningkatkan kemampuan memahami teks, kreativitas, kolaborasi, dan apresiasi budaya daerah. Kesimpulan menunjukkan bahwa kebutuhan integrasi kedua pendekatan tersebut sangat mendesak untuk meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia di SMP Negeri 2 Woja.

Abstract

Science learning in junior high schools is still dominated by abstract and teacher-centered approaches, failing to realize the principles of pedagogical Deep Learning, which emphasizes mindful, meaningful, and joyful student understanding. This study aimed to develop an Internet of Things (IoT)-based Solar Power Plant (PLTS) experiment kit as a valid, practical, and effective Creative Problem Solving–STEM learning media. The study employed a 4D development model (Define, Design, Develop, Disseminate) with a one-group pretest-posttest design. The developed product consisted of solar panels, a Solar Charge Controller, a battery, and an inverter, integrated with an ESP32-based IoT module, relays, sensors, and the Telegram Bot platform. Validation was conducted by five experts using the Content Validity Index (CVI). The research subjects were 104 ninth-grade students at SMP Negeri 02 Semendawai Timur. The results showed that the IoT-based PLTS experiment kit was highly valid (CVI = 0.90) and very practical, with an average learning implementation of 84.75% and a positive student response of 89.03%. Furthermore, the kit was effective in improving students' Creative Problem Solving abilities, achieving an N-gain value of 0.53 (moderate category). This IoT-based PLTS experiment kit provides a learning experience that aligns with the demands of Industrial Revolution 4.0 and the principles of holistic educational Deep Learning.
