Abstract

The Technological Pedagogical and Content Knowledge (TPACK) framework offers guidance for teachers seeking to address technology integration in classroom learning. This study aims to assess the TPACK proficiency levels among elementary school teachers. This study involved teachers from SDN Sumbersari 03 in Malang City as participants using a mixed-methods approach with a sequential explanatory design. Quantitative data were initially gathered through self-report measures, followed by analysis utilizing descriptive and inferential statistics. Subsequently, qualitative data were collected through interviews and observations, with analysis conducted using the interactive model proposed by Miles and Huberman. The results of this study showed that there was no difference in the TPACK perceptions of primary school teachers based on gender (p-value > 0.05). However, there is an influence between age and tenure on teachers' TPACK ability (p-value < 0.05). Overall, the teachers have a good mastery of TPACK. However, there are some areas that need to be improved, especially in terms of technology mastery (TK, TCK, and TPACK). The highest mean score in the CK and PK domains was 4.875 and the lowest score in the TPACK domain was 4.55. The findings also indicate no significant difference in TPACK perceptions among elementary school teachers based on gender. However, age and tenure were found to influence teachers' TPACK abilities. Overall, teachers demonstrated a good level of mastery in TPACK. Nonetheless, specific areas, particularly technology mastery (TK, TCK, and TPACK), require improvement.

Abstract

Problems that often occur in schools are the use of learning media. Moreover, learning media can make students feel happy. So that the desired abilities can be achieved, such as science literacy. Science literacy is an ability that needs to be improved starting from elementary school. This aims to make students able to later compete in the community environment. This research uses a qualitative descriptive method. This method can be the first step to describe or analyze the problems that occur in the field and will later be developed further. The sources obtained in this study came from interviews with teachers and questionnaires on the favourability of using learning media for students. The result is that students like learning that involves them in learning, coupled with using media that can be seen and heard such as YouTube or multimedia learning. However, many teachers still have difficulty in applying interactive media. The use of flipbooks can be a solution for teachers, considering that teachers have many learning accounts that have access to the use of applications to create flipbooks, such as CanvaPro. This flipbook-based learning media itself is able to make students think creatively and improve science literacy by combining project-based learning (PJBL).

Abstract

Students' oral language skills are very important in the digital era, and technology and communication have developed rapidly by presenting spoken language content that is popular with students. Multiliteracy learning refers to the multicontext aspect, which means learning uses various contexts or broad topics. In the multimedia aspect, multiliteracy learning uses various media. This research uses a case study design with the aim of exploring the oral language skills of elementary school students in the digital era to support multiliteracy learning. The data in the research was collected through several collection techniques in the form of questionnaires, observations and interviews. The data of this study were analysed using a qualitative approach with thematic analysis techniques. The research results show that students' oral language skills in this digital era are still limited to non-formal speaking skills. Talking content comes from shows that are watched, namely short dramas, advice, food review videos, other entertainment content. The type of text used in oral language learning is only printed text, which in their daily lives students often watch content on social media such as WhatsApp, Tiktok, snackvideo and YouTube. Students prefer short, interesting videos, with a few activities that involve thinking skills. Listening and speaking activities through these sources can be included in learning according to a multiliteracy context so that it is more meaningful for students.

Abstract

The development of digital map learning media in social studies learning in elementary schools has several urgencies that need to be considered, especially in the context of developments in information technology and modern educational needs. This research aims to analyze the needs for developing digital map learning media in elementary school social studies learning. This research uses qualitative and quantitative research designs. Participants in this research were teachers and students. The sample in this research was 1 teacher and 11 students at elementary school. Data collection techniques included interviews, questionnaires and observations. Research findings from interviews with teachers show that teachers know about digital maps but only limited to Google Maps and Google Earth. The teacher explained that digital maps are suitable to be developed to facilitate understanding of Hindu Buddhist Kingdom material by paying attention to an attractive appearance, short and clear content, and combining it with technology. Research findings from the results of student questionnaires show that 90% of students are interested in learning material about the Hindu Buddhist Kingdom using digital maps. Thus, the results of the analysis of teacher and student needs show that digital map media is needed by students. This research can be developed to develop digital map media based on Hindu Buddhist Kingdom material as a social study learning medium for fourth grade elementary school students.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the needs of interactive video media based on problem-based learning in Mathematics content in grade 4 of Roudlatul Jannah Islamic Elementary School. This research method is descriptive qualitative through observation techniques and interviews with 2 4th grade homeroom teachers. The results showed that teachers need interactive video media that can improve students' critical thinking skills. This is due to the lack of technology-based learning resources in the school environment. It is expected that interactive video media can be an interesting and effective teaching alternative to improve critical thinking skills in math lessons. Therefore, the development of interactive video learning media needs to be considered in preparing mathematics lesson plans in grade 4 of Roudlatul Jannah Islamic Elementary School.
