Abstract

This study aims to explore the application of the concepts of algebraic functions and geometry in the traditional architecture of Bale Sade, a traditional house of the Sasak people in Lombok, through an ethnomathematics approach. Although previous studies have highlighted geometric aspects in Sasak arts and crafts, in-depth studies of the application of algebraic and geometric principles in traditional building structures are limited. This research uses a qualitative approach with descriptive methods, through field observations in Rembitan Village, Pujut Subdistrict, interviews with several resource persons, TA (Traditional Leaders), and PW (Tour Guides), and documentation in Rembitan Village, Pujut Subdistrict, Central Lombok. Data analysis refers to the Miles and Huberman model which includes collecting, reducing, presenting data, and drawing conclusions. The results show that the structure of Bale Sade reflects mathematical principles such as symmetry, proportion, and geometric balance, as well as the application of algebra in calculating dimensions and efficient use of materials. In addition to functioning as a residence, Bale Sade reflects local wisdom that is closely related to cultural and environmental values. While previous studies have highlighted geometric aspects in the arts and crafts of the Sasak people, this study also makes an in-depth contribution to the application of algebraic and geometric principles in traditional building structures. This research recommends further studies that highlight the resilience of traditional architecture to climate change and the potential integration of modern technology in design without losing cultural values.

Abstract

Multivariable nonlinear equation systems are commonly found in various disciplines such as engineering, physics, economics, and artificial intelligence. Analytical solutions are often difficult to obtain, necessitating the use of numerical approaches. This study aims to evaluate and compare the performance of the Levenberg-Marquardt and Trust-Region methods in solving multivariable nonlinear equation systems. Computational simulations were performed using MATLAB software with an error tolerance of 0.001 and a maximum iteration limit of 100. The test system involved a combination of trigonometric, exponential, and polynomial functions to ensure computational complexity. The study's results show that both methods are capable of achieving solutions with high accuracy. The Levenberg-Marquardt method demonstrated higher efficiency, achieving convergence in only 2 iterations with a final error of 1.866 10. In contrast, the Trust-Region method required 27 iterations but yielded a smaller error of 4.768 10. Three-dimensional visualization revealed that the solution was obtained from the intersection point of the three function surfaces. These findings confirm that the selection of numerical methods should consider the priority between iteration efficiency and solution accuracy. The contribution of this research lies in presenting a comparison of the performance of two popular algorithms with controlled simulation parameters, which can serve as a basis for the development of numerical methods in larger dimensional systems

Abstract

The transformation of education towards the Education 5.0 era requires human resources, especially teachers, to be prepared in mastering digital literacy that is in line with Islamic values. This study aims to systematically review literature discussing teacher digital literacy in the context of Islamic education, with a focus on the level of Human Resource (HR) readiness in responding to the challenges of the Education 5.0 era. Using a qualitative method with a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach, this study traces publications from the DOAJ, Scopus, and Google Scholar databases published between 2015 and 2025. The findings indicate that the readiness of Islamic education HR is still in a transitional phase and is not yet evenly distributed among individuals and institutions. Although there have been efforts to integrate digital technology in alignment with Islamic values by some teachers and institutions, its implementation is generally still limited to technical and administrative aspects. Digital literacy has not yet been fully internalized as part of strategic, reflective, and transformative pedagogical reform. These findings underscore the importance of strengthening digital literacy training based on Islamic values, as well as the need for institutional policies and visionary leadership that support the sustainable integration of technology in Islamic education.

Abstract

The reading interest of elementary school students in Indonesia is still relatively low, partly due to poorly managed and unattractive libraries. This condition is also evident at SDN 2 Sekotong Barat, where the school library is neglected, the book collection is disorganized, and reading room facilities are limited, so students rarely use it as a source of learning or entertainment. To address this problem, this Community Service (PKM) activity was carried out with the aim of increasing students' interest in reading through library revitalization. The methods used included reorganizing the book collection, painting the walls, providing tables, chairs, and reading carpets, and creating a child-friendly reading corner. The partners in this activity were 15 students from SDN 2 Sekotong Barat as the main beneficiaries. The evaluation was conducted through observation of student activities in the library, including the frequency of visits, reading time, and interaction with the new facilities. The results showed a 90% success rate, marked by an increase in student enthusiasm for reading for 20-30 minutes per visit.
