Abstract

Local wisdom-based approach to create relevant, contextual, and in-depth learning is very important in social studies learning. This study aims to analyze the integration of Dayak Deah local wisdom in learning Social Studies with a powerful learning approach in Tabalong State Junior High School. The research method is qualitative with a case study design, with data collection through interviews, observations, and document analysis to obtain data from teachers, students, and principals. The results showed that the integration of Dayak Deah local wisdom, such as the tradition of farming in shifts and the preservation of customary forests, was able to improve students' understanding of the concept of sustainability, the relationship between humans and nature, and socio-cultural values. Activities such as simulation of customary traditions and direct observation of the community provide a more contextual and meaningful learning experience. However, challenges such as teachers' limited understanding of local wisdom and the lack of local culture-based teaching materials affect the effectiveness of implementation. The conclusion of this study confirms that the powerful learning approach is relevant to improve the quality of local wisdom-based learning. With teacher training, teaching material development and digital documentation of local values, this model can be more widely adopted as a sustainable education strategy in Indonesia.

Abstract

This study uses a case study design with a qualitative approach to gain an in-depth understanding of character education practices and their impact on sustainability at SMPN 4 Banajarmasin. This article discusses how character education can shape a sustainable generation and contribute to social and environmental sustainability. This study aims to explore how character education can influence the formation of a sustainable generation in the context of education for sustainability. A sustainable generation with character education forms a generation that has the noble values, morals, and ethics needed for sustainability, improving the quality of life by developing the skills needed to live sustainably, such as problem solving and other values, and positive social change, where students become good citizens and contribute to the progress of society.

Abstract

The research problem comes from the production factors of cassava crackers. This research aims to describe the production factors of the cracker business. The research used a qualitative method to describe the production factors of the cassava cracker business in Sungai Sahurai Village. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis with data reduction refers to the research objectives, presentation of data obtained in the field, and conclusion. Testing data validity through triangulation and member check.  Based on the results of the study, it was found that the production activities of the cassava crackers business have several factors in the form of raw materials, capital, labour, and entrepreneurial skills. The primary raw material is cassava, capital whose source comes from its own and borrowed capital, labour, namely the business actors themselves, and additional labour and entrepreneurial skills that are passed down from generation to generation. This study concludes that in Sungai Sahurai Village, most of the residents have a cassava cracker business; these business activities can take place and still exist today because there are production factors that support each other.

Abstract

Background: Caring behavior plays a vital role in the nursing profession, especially in public health settings. In-home care services, where patients receive medical attention in the comfort of their homes, the quality of care and patient satisfaction depends heavily on the nurse's ability to exhibit caring behavior. Objective: This study aims to analyze and identify the relationship between the caring behavior of public health nurses and the level of patient satisfaction in homecare services. Methods: In this study, the design used is a quantitative research design with a cross-sectional study approach. According to the formula found by Isaac and Micheal, the population in this study amounted to 402 respondents, so a sample of 162 respondents was obtained. The sampling technique was Probability Sampling with a proportional random sampling type. Results: Based on the results of the cross-tabulation that has been carried out between caring behavior and patient satisfaction using the Fisher Exact test statistical test, the result is in the form of a p-value of 0.001 with a significant level of <0.05 and with this value (0.001) means less than the value a (0.05). It can indicate that Ha is accepted and Ho is rejected, and it can be concluded that caring behavior can increase patient satisfaction. Conclusion: Researchers suggest that the caring behavior of public health nurses has a vital role in increasing patient satisfaction with homecare services. Nurses can help patients feel more comfortable and supported in their home environment through more personalised attention, effective communication, and emotional support. This contributes directly to increased patient satisfaction, which feels valued and cared for holistically in home care.

Abstract

Introduction: Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) is one of the critical conditions that requires quick and appropriate treatment to prevent further damage to brain tissue. One non-invasive approach that can be applied is a head elevation of 30°, which is believed to increase cerebral tissue perfusion and reduce intracranial pressure. This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of monitoring and the application of 30° head elevation in improving cerebral perfusion in patients with captive trauma. Research Methodology: This study uses an observational design with a pre-post test approach. The study subjects were patients with capitis trauma who performed a 30° head elevation action. Parameters observed before and after the intervention included the Glasgow Coma Scale (GCS), blood pressure, body temperature, pulse, pain, frequency of vomiting, nausea intensity, and dizziness level. Result: After applying a head elevation of 30°, the patient's GCS remained stable at a value of 15 (composmentis). Body temperature decreased from 38.6°C to 36.8°C, and pulse rate from 118x/min to 80x/min. The pain scale decreased from 8 to 3, vomiting from 5x/day to 1x/day, nausea from a score of 5 to 1, and dizziness from a score of 4 to 1. Blood pressure did not change significantly (140/90 mmHg). Conclusion: The application and monitoring of 30° head elevation are effective in increasing the perfusion of cerebral tissue and lowering clinical symptoms related to capitis trauma. This intervention can be used as the first step in the nursing management of TBI patients.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui gambaran Efektivitas Model Kooperatif Tipe Numbered Heads Together (NHT) dengan Pendekatan Quantum Teaching dalam Pembelajaran Matematika pada siswa Kelas VII.1 SMP Negeri 1 Binamu Kabupaten Jeneponto. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif deskriptif yang fokus pada Efektivitas Model Kooperatif Tipe Numbered Heads Together (NHT) dengan Pendekatan Quantum Teaching dalam Pembelajaran Matematika pada Siswa Kelas VII SMP Negeri 1 Binamu Kabupaten Jeneponto. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 1 Binamu Kabupaten Jeneponto yang terbagi menjadi 8 kelas dengan jumlah siswa 252 orang. Sampel penelitian adalah siswa kelas VII.1 berjumlah 31 orang siswa yang dipilih menggunakan teknik purposive sampling dengan mempertimbangkan bahwa siswa tersebut pernah diajar menggunakan Model pembelajaran Kooperatif tipe Numbered Heads Together (NHT) dengan Pendekatan Quantum Teaching. Teknik yang digunakan untuk mengumpulkan data dalam penelitian ini yaitu dokumentasi, wawancara dan kuesioner. Analisis data menggunakan analisis deskriptif. Hasil penelitian dan analisis data yang diperoleh dapat ditarik kesimpulan bahwa penerapan model kooperatif tipe Numbered Heads Together (NHT) dengan pendekatan Quantum Teaching untuk siswa kelas VII.1 SMP Negeri 1 Binamu Kabupaten Jeneponto memenuhi kriteria efektif.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk bertujuan untuk mengetahui peranan model advance organizer pada pengajaran langsung terhadap hasil belajar matematika siswa kelas VIII SMPN 3 Binamu Kabupaten Jeneponto. Jenis penelitian ini adalah quasi eksperimen. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VIII SMPN 3 Binamu yang terdiri dari tiga kelas dengan jumlah siswa 67 orang. Sampel penelitian adalah kelas VIII.A 20 orang sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas VIII.B 23 orang sebagai kelas kontrol yang diambil secara acak. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah tes hasil belajar matematika. Hasil analisis statistik deskriptif mengungkapkan bahwa skor rata-rata hasil belajar matematika siswa kelas eksperimen adalah 22,30 dengan standar deviasi 4,207 dan skor rata-rata hasil belajar matematika siswa kelas kontrol adalah 18,84 dengan standar deviasi 4,122. Hasil analisis inferensial mengungkapkan bahwa nilai sign. (2-tailed) = , dengan demikian hipotesis ditolak dan diterima sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan signifikan antara hasil belajar matematika siswa kelas VIII SMPN 3 Binamu pada materi relasi dan fungsi yang diajar menggunakan model advance organizer pada model pengajaran langsung dan yang diajar dengan menggunakan metode konvensional pada taraf signifikansi = 0,05. Dari hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa model advance organizer pada pengajaran langsung dapat digunakan dalam pengajaran matematika siswa kelas VIII SMPN 3 Binamu untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar matematika.

Abstract

Abstrak Studi ini merupakan sebuah tinjauan literatur sistematis yang mendalami integrasi metode Bayesian dalam pembelajaran mesin. Metode Bayesian telah terbukti memberikan keuntungan signifikan dalam menangani ketidakpastian dan variabilitas data, yang merupakan tantangan utama dalam pengembangan model pembelajaran mesin yang handal. Tinjauan ini menggali literatur terbitan dalam 10 tahun terakhir dari sumber seperti Scopus, DOAJ, dan Google Scholar untuk mengidentifikasi pendekatan teoritis dan empiris dalam penggunaan metode Bayesian. Hasil penelitian menyoroti bahwa metode Bayesian memungkinkan integrasi pengetahuan awal yang informatif dengan data yang ada, memperbaiki estimasi parameter, dan meningkatkan ketahanan model terhadap variasi data yang kompleks. Namun, tantangan utama dalam implementasi metode ini adalah kompleksitas komputasional yang tinggi dalam melakukan inferensi, terutama dalam konteks data multi-modal. Tinjauan ini memberikan wawasan mendalam tentang perkembangan terbaru dalam aplikasi metode Bayesian dalam pembelajaran mesin dan merumuskan arah penelitian mendatang untuk mengatasi tantangan tersebut secara efektif. Abstrak This study presents a systematic literature review that delves into the integration of Bayesian methods in machine learning. Bayesian methods have been shown to provide significant advantages in handling data uncertainty and variability, which are major challenges in developing reliable machine learning models. This review explores literature published in the last 10 years from sources such as Scopus, DOAJ, and Google Scholar to identify theoretical and empirical approaches in the use of Bayesian methods. The findings highlight that Bayesian methods enable the integration of informative prior knowledge with existing data, improve parameter estimation, and enhance model robustness against complex data variations. However, the main challenge in implementing these methods is the high computational complexity involved in performing inference, especially in the context of multi-modal data. This review provides in-depth insights into the latest developments in the application of Bayesian methods in machine learning and formulates future research directions to effectively address these challenges.

Abstract

This study uses a quasi-experimental design to examine the effectiveness of a flipbook-based blended learning method on student learning outcomes at SMPN 3 Banjarmasin. Participants included an experimental group (n=30) utilizing the flipbook-based method and a control group (n=31) using traditional approaches. Pre-test and post-test assessments measured learning outcomes. Results showed that the experimental group significantly outperformed the control group, achieving an average post-test score of 85.97 compared to 75.90, with a mean difference of 10.06 (p < 0.001). ANCOVA analysis demonstrated the learning method's significant impact on post-test scores (F = 15.508, p < 0.001), independent of pre-test performance (F = 0.032, p = 0.860). Residual analysis raised concerns about the assumptions of linearity and normal distribution, warranting further validation of the model. The learning method accounted for 25% of post-test score variability, suggesting the influence of additional factors. These findings affirm the method's effectiveness and call for comprehensive model assessments in educational studies.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi peran interaksi antara dukungan dosen dan lingkungan kelas terhadap ketahanan matematika siswa. Penelitian ini merupakan kualitatif dengan pendekatan systematic literature review. Sumber data dari basis data ilmiah meliputi Scopus, DOAJ, dan Google Scholar dengan memilih terbitan 10 tahun terakhir. Hasil sintesis pada 16 artikel yang sesuai kriteria kelayakan menunjukkan bahwa dukungan dosen yang efektif mencakup pembimbingan, perhatian terhadap kebutuhan siswa, dan responsif terhadap tantangan belajar akan memiliki dampak yang signifikan terhadap kemampuan siswa dalam mengatasi kesulitan dalam matematika. Di sisi lain, lingkungan kelas yang mendukung, empatik, dan inklusif memberikan dorongan besar bagi siswa untuk meningkatkan pemahaman mereka tentang konsep matematika dan mengatasi kecemasan terkait pelajaran tersebut. Implikasi temuan ini adalah pentingnya perhatian yang lebih besar terhadap interaksi antara dukungan dosen dan lingkungan kelas dalam upaya meningkatkan ketahanan matematika siswa. Dengan memahami secara mendalam bagaimana kedua faktor tersebut saling berinteraksi, lembaga pendidikan dapat mengembangkan pendekatan pembelajaran yang lebih efektif untuk membantu siswa mengatasi tantangan dalam matematika dan mencapai keberhasilan dalam pelajaran tersebut.
