Abstract

The "Bukit Indah" farmer group in Simoro village is an economically/socially productive partner group, because no solution has been implemented to overcome overproduction of chayote. The potential waste from chayote is in the form of fruit waste. This waste is very abundant and most of it is left to rot. The decomposition of this waste causes an unpleasant odor and in the long term will reduce environmental quality. The aim of this service is for the team and partners to collaborate in processing chayote which exceeds production into functional food for under-five and stunted children. Implementation Method: Conduct surveys and identify farmer groups that have the potential to be involved in this program. Establishing partnerships with farmer groups who are willing to participate, the farmer group that has the potential to become a partner is the "Bukit Indah" farmer group in Simoro village. The results of the activity obtained understanding of farmer groups and female cadres in processing agricultural products into food with nutritional value and becoming an innovation in handling the problem of stunting children, increasing cadres' skills in processing chayote into food products, and processing it themselves with the materials provided and intervening with children target toddlers, the intervention was carried out for 20 days with administration 2 days apart, and after the intervention, the average weight and height of the toddlers before the intervention were 10,275  kg and 78,7  cm respectively and after the intervention it was 10,845  kg and 78,951  cm. Training on innovation of food products from chayote in community service activities can overcome stunting and provide solutions to malnutrition among under-aged children.

Abstract

This study aims to critically analyze the pedagogical representation in the Indonesian EFL textbook "Bahasa Inggris: Work in Progress" to assess its alignment with the learner-centered and transformative principles of Kurikulum Merdeka, focusing on how it shapes learner roles and pedagogical approaches. This qualitative descriptive study uses Critical Discourse Analysis (CDA) based on Fairclough's (1995) three-dimensional model and content analysis. It examines textual, visual, and task design components of the "Bahasa Inggris: Work in Progress" textbook for Grade X, published in 2021. The textbook partially aligns with Kurikulum Merdeka, incorporating progressive elements like contextualized themes and multimodal resources. However, tasks often remain scripted, limiting autonomy and critical thinking. Visuals are illustrative rather than interrogative, and multimodal activities are peripheral, hindering full realization of transformative ideals. This research is useful for textbook developers, English as a Foreign Language (EFL) educators, and policymakers in Indonesia. It can inform material design, curriculum development, and pedagogical practices within language education, particularly concerning the implementation of Kurikulum Merdeka. This study uniquely combines Critical Discourse Analysis and multimodal analysis to evaluate an Indonesian EFL textbook under Kurikulum Merdeka. It advances existing knowledge by highlighting the tension between progressive curriculum goals and traditional material design, offering specific insights for future textbook revisions

Abstract

Hypertension is one of the most prevalent non-communicable diseases and remains a major concern in public health. Public knowledge about hypertension plays a crucial role in its prevention and management. Objective This study aimed to describe the level of public knowledge about hypertension in the working area of the Suppa Public Health Center, Pinrang Regency. Methods This research used a quantitative approach with a descriptive design. A total of 47 respondents were selected using Slovin’s formula from the population in the Suppa Health Center area. Data were collected using a closed-ended questionnaire with dichotomous choices (Yes/No). Data analysis was performed using descriptive statistics in the form of frequency and percentage distributions. Results The study revealed that the majority of respondents had good knowledge of hypertension, with 43 people (91.5%) categorized as having good knowledge and 4 people (8.5%) with sufficient knowledge. Respondents’ knowledge was influenced by their education level, information sources, and media exposure. Conclusion Most of the community members in the Suppa Health Center area have good knowledge of hypertension. This reflects the effectiveness of ongoing health education efforts. Continued and enhanced health promotion is recommended to maintain and improve community awareness.

Abstract

The proper administration of colostrum to newborns is crucial for supporting their immune system and preventing various infectious diseases. However, many postpartum mothers still lack understanding of the importance of colostrum, which affects the practice of colostrum feeding. This study aims to describe the improvement in postpartum mothers' knowledge about the importance of colostrum through educational intervention at a hospital. This descriptive research uses a One Group Pre Test-Post Test approach. The study participants consisted of 31 postpartum mothers admitted. Data collection was done using a questionnaire given before and after providing education through leaflets about colostrum. The results showed a significant increase in knowledge after the education, with all respondents (100%) demonstrating good knowledge about colostrum after the intervention. This improved knowledge is expected to encourage postpartum mothers to provide colostrum to their babies, thereby improving their health and immunity

Abstract

This article discusses the phenomenon of "air doa" (prayer water) in the tradition of reading the hizib Nahdlatul Wathan (NW) in Sembalun Bumbung. Several research questions are posed to answer the forms and typologies of the reception of the Quran, as well as the role of local leaders in the transmission and transformation of knowledge regarding this tradition to the community. In this research, the author employs a qualitative phenomenological approach and the theory of the reception of the living Quran. Data collection is carried out through interviews, observations, and documentary studies. The results of the analysis indicate that the functional (practical) reception of the people of Sembalun Bumbung is evident in their beliefs about the efficacy of prayer water in the tradition of reading the hizib NW, including its use for healing, health, agricultural fertility, and intellectual blessings. In this context, the local leader is TGKH. Zainuddin Abdul Madjid, who plays the role of the carrier and teacher of the hizib NW in Sembalun Bumbung. The process of transmitting and transforming knowledge related to prayer water in the tradition of reading the hizib NW is closely tied to the local leader's knowledge of the history of healing during the time of the Prophet, the Companions, and early scholars, as well as the existing Sasak belian tradition in Sembalun Bumbung. The phenomenon of prayer water in the tradition of reading the hizib NW demonstrates that the Quran is alive and integrated into the everyday life of the people of Sembalun Bumbung. [Artikel ini membahas tentang fenomena air doa dalam tradisi pembacaan hizib Nahdlatul Wathan (NW)  di Sembalun Bumbung. Sejumlah pertanyaan penelitian yang diajukan untuk menjawab tentang bentuk dan tipologi resepsi al-Qur’an, serta peran local leader dalam proses transmisi dan  transformasi pengetahuan atas tradisi tersebut kepada masyarakat. Dalam penelitian ini, penulis menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif fenomenologi dan teori resepsi-living Qur’an. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui wawancara, observasi, dan studi dokumentasi. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa resepsi fungsional (praktis) masyarakat Sembalun Bumbung tampak dalam kepercayaan mereka mengenai khasiat air doa dalam tradisi pembacaan hizib NW, di antaranya untuk kesembuhan penyakit, kesehatan, kesuburan pertanian, dan barokah kecerdasan. Dalam konteks ini, local leader adalah TGKH. Zainuddin Abdul Madjid, berperan sebagai pembawa dan pengajar hizib NW di Sembalun Bumbung. Adapun proses transmisi dan transformasi pengetahuan terkait air doa dalam tradisi pembacaan hizib NW tidak terlepas dari pengetahuan local leader mengenai sejarah pengobatan di masa Rasulullah, Sahabat, dan para ulama terdahulu, serta tradisi belian Sasak yang sudah ada di Sembalun Bumbung. Fenomena air doa dalam tradisi pembacaan hizib NW ini menunjukkan bahwa al-Qur’an hidup dan menyatu dalam kehidupan sehari-hari masyarakat Sembalun Bumbung.]

Abstract

Law enforcement in the shipping sector is essential to ensure maritime safety, as regulated in Law No. 17 of 2008 on Shipping. In KSOP Class II Tarakan, many traditional cargo vessels, particularly ships transporting special and hazardous goods, still fail to meet requirements, which can potentially constitute shipping crime under Article 246(1) with penalties of up to 3 years imprisonment or fines of IDR 400 million. However, law enforcement is hindered by weak inter-agency coordination, as maritime forums remain ineffective, leading to fragmented supervision and imbalanced sea patrols.

Abstract

The Tarbiyatunnasyiin Islamic boarding school is one of the Salaf Islamic boarding schools that really pays attention to the personality traits of its students. Character formation is built by bringing to life the cultural values of Salaf (traditional) Islamicboarding schools. For example, by teaching the basics of faith which are learned through Salaf books such as the books Kifayatul 'Awam and Aqidatul 'Awam, habitual worship activities which can be obtained through congregational prayers, reciting the Koran and murojaah, as well as upholding morals. The focus of this research is 1) How is the Character Education of Santri at the Tarbiyatunnasyiin Pacul Gowang Jombang Islamic Boarding School? 2) What is the Salaf Islamic Boarding School Culture like at theTarbiyatunnasyiin Pacul Gowang Jombang Islamic Boarding School? 3) What is the role of Kyai in shaping the character of students through Salaf Islamic boarding school culture at the Tarbiyatunnasyiin Pacul Gowang Jombang Islamic boarding school? The research in this thesis uses a qualitative approach method. The type of research used in this research is case study research. Data collection techniques are observation, interviews, documentation and triangulation. The results of the research are as follows: 1) The character education of students at the Tarbiyatunnasyiin Islamic boarding school is formed, one of the ways, by the presence of figures or role models and also formed by the existence of rules or regulations. 2) The Salaf culture at the Tarbiyatunnasyiin Islamic boarding school has two sides, namely first from the side of life or activity conditions which are still very traditional which are farfrom luxurious and modern, and second from the learning method or system which still uses and even emphasizes the Salaf method, namely sorogan., bandongan, memorization and deliberation. 3) The role of kyai in educating the character of students through Salaf culture at the Tarbiyatunnasyiin Islamic boarding school cannot be separated from the existence of role models, namely the elders of the Islamic boarding school. The elders used to shape the character of their students not only by teaching knowledge from certain books, but also by providing guidance and becoming role models for their students.

Abstract

The digital era has significantly transformed various aspects of life, including Islamic education within the family. This study examines how Muslim families navigate the challenges and opportunities of raising children in the digital age. Using a qualitative approach and descriptive analysis of relevant literature, the findings reveal that digitalization facilitates access to Islamic learning resources, such as e-books, online lectures, and educational apps. However, challenges include exposure to un-Islamic digital content, gadget addiction, and reduced face-to-face family interaction. To address these issues, Muslim families can adopt strategies like monitoring technology use, leveraging positive digital media, and integrating Islamic values into parenting. The study highlights the crucial role of parents as facilitators in guiding children to use technology wisely and in line with Islamic principles. Additionally, Islamic educational institutions and policymakers should contribute by establishing regulations and educational programs that promote healthy technology use in family-based Islamic education. For future research, empirical studies using quantitative or in-depth qualitative methods are recommended to explore digital-based Islamic education across diverse cultural and social contexts. Further evaluation of technology-driven Islamic learning methods is also needed to provide more specific and actionable recommendations.

Abstract

Implementasi Undang-Undang Nomor 6 Tahun 2014 telah memberi peluang bagipemerintah desa untuk mewujudkan kemandirian di bidang pembangunan.Kebijakan ini menuntut kesiapan oleh pemerintah desa agar mampu mengelolakeuangan desa agar bisa terealisasi sesuai amanat peraturan tersebut. Penelitianini mendeskripsikan kemampuan pemerintah desa dalam pengelolaan dana desadi desa Mendikonu Kecamatan Amonggedo Kabupaten Konawe. Pendekatanpenelitian secara kualitatif, dimana data dikumpulkan melalui obseravasi danwawancara. Selanjutnya data dianalisis secara kualitatif dengan uraian deskriptifuntuk menjawab permasalahan penelitian. Temuan dalam penelitian menunjukkanbahwa kemampuan aparat dalam proses pengelolaan dana desa yang dimulai dariperencanaan keuangan, pelaksanaan keuangan, penatausahaan keuangan, danpertanggungjawaban keuangan telah berjalan, meskipun belum optimal. Hal inidisebabkan karena terbatasnya kemampuan aparatur pemerintah desa danpengelola dana terutama pada aspek pengetahuan, keterampilan dan sikap.
