Abstract

This study aims to improve students' mathematical problem-solving abilities and self-regulated learning through guided discovery learning for class VII students of MTs Alwashliyah Gedung Johor Medan. This research is an experimental study with a pretest-posttest design. The population in this study were all class VII students, totaling 42 students. The instrument used is a mathematical problem-solving ability test and a learning independence questionnaire. This study indicates that the average value of the initial test of problem-solving ability is 43.05, and the average value of the final test of learning independence is 57.55. The average value of the initial questionnaire for learning independence was 63.88, and the average value of the final questionnaire was 70.76. The results of the Mathematical Problem Solving Ability test's hypothesis test with t-count = 10,073 and t-table = 1,66 so that t-count > t-table. The Independent Learning Questionnaire hypothesis results with t-count = 3.53 and t-table = 1.66 so that t-count > t-table. The result shows that Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted, which means that there is an increase in mathematical problem-solving abilities and student learning independence through guided discovery learning before and after being given treatment.

Abstract

This study was conducted in South Toribulu Village, Toribulu Subdistrict, Parigi Moutong District, to address the previously unknown levels of farmers' adoption of Integrated Crop Management (ICM). The primary objective was to assess the extent to which farmers in this area have adopted ICM practices for paddy rice cultivation. The research was carried out from December 2020 to February 2021, with the study location selected purposively. The sampling method used was a Simple Random Sampling, encompassing 69 farmer groups, each consisting of 25 members, leading to a total population of 1,725 rice farmers. The findings revealed that the adoption level of high-quality seeds was classified as high. In contrast, the adoption levels for components such as superior varieties, planting systems, fertilizer application, alternate irrigation, integrated pest management (IPM), and weeding were classified as moderate, although there were slight variations in scores across these components. The use of organic matter received an average score of 29.59, while the harvest and post-harvest practices scored 35.73, both of which were categorized as low. Overall, the adoption of Integrated Crop Management for paddy rice was classified as moderate in Toribulu Selatan Village, with an average score of 43.21.

Abstract

Stunting in toddlers is a serious health problem, Stunting is a term used to describe the delay in physical development of children from conception or formation to the age of 2 years, resulting in height lower than their chronological age. Stunting in toddlers can be caused by socioeconomic conditions, maternal nutrition during pregnancy, infant diseases, and inadequate infant nutritional intake. Infectious diseases are the most direct and common cause of growth failure in young children, and effective strategies are needed to reduce risk factors for developmental delays in children under the age of five. The method to overcome this problem is a machine learning (ML) classification method that uses Naive Bayes, KNN and Decision Tree algorithms to classify nutritional data of young children, thus helping to overcome developmental delays, early intervention. The result of this study is the highest precision poor naïve bayes algorithm performance found in the malnutrition category at 38% and recall there are two categories that cannot be identified. The KNN algorithm has one category of nutritional risk that cannot be identified precision and recall, KNN is higher than naïve bayes at 40%. The Decision Tree looks normal and has 48% accuracy, with better recall and precision than Naive Bayes and KNN

Abstract

This research was written to find out how the practice of setting prices for renting boarding houses during the Covid-19 pandemic in Bukittinggi, because there are differences in setting boarding house rental prices where the boarding house owner waives or waives boarding house rent during the pandemic. However, there are also some boarding house owners who continue to pay full boarding fees as before the Covid-19 pandemic. Furthermore, the author also wants to know how fiqh muāmalah views the pricing of boarding house rents during the Covid-19 pandemic. This study used field research, while the data sources for this research consisted of primary data sources, which were obtained from observations and interviews with students and boarding house owners in the Aur Birugo Tigo Baleh Village. The conclusions from research regarding the pricing of boarding house rentals during this pandemic were found in 3 versions. First, the boarding house owner waived boarding fees during the Covid-19 pandemic. Second, the boarding house owner provides relief by paying half the boarding fee of the pre-pandemic price. Third, boarding house owners do not provide fee relief by continuing to pay full boarding fees during the Covid-19 pandemic. In the view of fiqh muāmalah, leasing or ijārah is legally permissible or permissible as long as there is no argument that forbids it.

Abstract

The transfer of the utilization of high inheritance assets in Nagari Muara Panas, Bukit Sundi District, Solok Regency often reaps pros and cons, because basically, high inheritance assets may not be sold or pawned except for four reasons, but the facts often show that high inheritance assets are used for the benefit of personal. This is what causes divisions among the people because of the transition from the utilization of the high inheritance property. The purpose of this study was to analyze the Maqashid al-Shariah review of the transfer of utilization of high inheritance assets in Nagari Muara Panas, Solok Regency. This type of research is field research. Data collection techniques in this study were carried out through interviews and documentation. The results of this study indicate that the form of diversion of the use of high heirlooms that occurred in Nagari Muara Panas, Bukit Sundi District, Solok Regency was carried out by pawning and trading by owners of high heirlooms for reasons of personal gain. Furthermore, Maqashid al-Shariah's review of the transfer of utilization of high inheritance assets in Nagari Muara Panas is permissible in order to preserve the soul in the form of medical treatment and preserve the mind in the form of educational expenses, all of which can be categorized at the dharuriyyat level. and this is at the level of tahsiniyyat.

Abstract

This study aims to investigate the effects of colored bead Montessori learning media to students’ numeral thinking skills none of the elementary schools (SD) in Padang, Indonesia. This study used a quantitative method with a single-subject research approach, the research data was taken from a student with dyscalculia through fifteen direct lessons using colored bead Montessori learning media. Data were analyzed by using visual graphical analysis tool descriptively were analyzed descriptively using visual graphical analysis tools. The results of this study showed that the use of colored bead Montessori learning media based on the analysis can actually improve the numeracy skills of students with dyscalculia in learning. This improvement is proved by, at first the students' scores were 2, 4, 4, 4, this was the value before the researcher used the media. Furthermore, after the researcher did seven times direct treatment, it was found that the students' scores increased to 10, 13, 15, 18, 20, 20, 20, even students were able to obtain self-evaluation scores with numbers 20, 20, 20, 20. The results of this study proved that the use of colored bead Montessori media has been able to improve the numeracy skills of students in learning. Referring to the results of this research, colored bead Montessori can be used as an alternative media in learning numeracy skills of students with dyscalculia none of the elementary schools.

Abstract

User reviews of the app, including popular games like Clash of Clans, are an important indicator of the quality of the app. However, fake reviews can mislead users and damage the app's reputation. This study aims to classify Clash of Clans reviews on the Google Play Store as "valid" or "invalid" using three algorithms: decision tree (DT), K-Nearest Neighbors (KNN), and Multinomial Naive Bayes (MNB). The dataset used contains 320 Indonesian reviews with a rating of 1 to 3 and validated by experienced players. Text features are extracted using TF-IDF and the model is evaluated using cross validation. The results show that the decision tree has the highest accuracy (64%), followed by MNB (59%) and KNN (53%). Cross validation shows that MNB has the most stable performance, while KNN is more sensitive to data changes. Decision Trees show the lowest performance and are less effective on new data because they tend to overfit. The study provides valuable insights into the selection of user review classification algorithms by considering accuracy, precision, acquisition, and performance stability.

Abstract

The Family Hope Program (PKH) is one of the poverty alleviation programs launched by the government in 2007 and has been ongoing until now. However, there are several problems in its implementation, including: fund distribution, the length of time for fund disbursement, and not all poor people receive PKH assistance. This study aims to see the contribution of the utilization of the Family Hope Program (PKH) assistance funds in poverty alleviation in Pesisir Selatan Regency; obstacles faced in the utilization of assistance funds (PKH); and strategies for utilizing assistance funds (PKH) to be more effective. This study uses a qualitative approach. Data was collected through observation, interviews and documentation studies. Informants were selected using purposive sampling. The results of this study show the contribution of the utilization of assistance funds (PKH) in poverty alleviation in Pesisir Selatan Regency. In the fields of education and health, it has been realized well. The obstacles faced in the utilization of assistance funds (PKH) in Pesisir Selatan Regency, namely the length of time for fund disbursement, hampered Households (KPM) in buying school uniforms for their children, so they borrowed money before the funds were disbursed. The strategy for utilizing assistance funds (PKH) to be more effective is to conduct outreach to KPM and provide a clear understanding so that they understand the objectives of the program as well as the government's monitoring and evaluation of the program.

Abstract

Mathematics and culture can be combined to make learning more innovative, enjoyable and at the same time getting to know the culture around you better. Ethnomathematics is a forum that bridges mathematics with the surrounding cultural context. This research aims to describe the results of the exploration of the concept of ethnomathematics at the Karo Heritage Museum, especially regarding spatial and flat shapes found in historical objects at the Karo Heritage Museum so that it can be used as a learning resource for students. The type of research used is qualitative research with an ethnographic approach. Data collection methods include observation and documentation. The results of the research show that there is an ethnomathematics exploration of historical objects in the Pusaka Karo museum, especially mathematical concepts which can be used as a contextual learning resource in schools.

Abstract

This community service program (PKM) is one of the Tridharma activities of Tinngi College. In this case, the PKM activity was carried out at one of the elementary schools in Medan, namely Amir Hamzah Medan Private Elementary School. This PKM activity aims to help teachers socialize digital-based learning media that can be used in learning, especially for students at the elementary school level. This activity aims to enable teachers to apply digital-based learning media, so learning in class attracts more student interest. This PKM activity was carried out at SD Swasra Amir Hamzah Medan and was attended by 12 teachers offline (face to face). This activity is carried out in 3 stages. The first stage introduces digital learning media such as PowerPoint (PPT) and Canva. The second stage is to demonstrate the preparation of digital learning media, and in the final stage, the teacher can apply digital learning media in the classroom. The target outcomes that will be achieved in PKM activities are: (1) teachers can understand digital-based learning media, (2) increase teacher pedagogic competence, (3) teachers can develop digital-based learning media, (4) teachers can apply learning media in the classroom, (5) increase students' interest in learning. The implementation of PKM ran smoothly because all participants were active in the PKM activities and could apply them during the learning process in class
