Abstract

The main aim of this research are to describe (1) cognitive learning outcomes of students who were taught using the cognitive apprenticeship using reciprocal teaching (RT), scardamalia and bereiters F.W (SB), and schoenfeld problem solving (SPS) strategies and (2) metacognitive skill level of students who are taught using the cognitive apprenticeship with RT, SB, and SPS strategies. This type of research is experimental research using the static group pretest-posttest design consisting of three classes of experiments with different treatments. Research subjects are students of XI IPA 2 SMA Darul Ulum Unggulan BPPT Jombang by the number of each class of experiments is 22 students. Instruments used are in the form of test and questionnaire. Students' cognitive learning outcomes data obtained will be analyzed with one way ANOVA using SPSS 19 and questionnaire data will be described.The result of data analysis revealed that Ho is rejected and Hi is accepted. It means that there was differences in cognitive learning outcomes of students who were taught using the cognitive apprenticeship with RT, SB, and SPS strategies. Metacognitive skill level of individual students experiencing increased tendency for RT, SB, and SPS class, while the average grade of students' metacognitive skills is in grade 3, developing grade for RT and SB class, while grade of students' metacognitive skills is in grade 4, ok grage for SPS class. It can be concluded that the cognitive apprenticeship learning with SPS strategy can be used to teach metacognitive skills with more scaffolding and advised to use RT and SB strategies for suitable characteristics topic (reading and writing)Tujuan utama penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan (1) Hasil belajar kognitif siswa yang diajarkan menggunakan magang kognitif dengan strategi reciprocal teaching (RT), scardamalia and bereiters F.W (SB), dan schoenfeld problem solving (SPS), (2) Tingkat keterampilan metakognitif siswa yang diajarkan menggunakan magang kognitif dengan strategi RT, SB, dan SPS. Jenis penelitian yang dilakukan adalah experimental research menggunakan static group pretest- postest design yang terdiri dari tiga kelas eksperimen dengan perlakuan yang berbeda-beda. Subjek penelitian yaitu siswa kelas XI IPA SMA Darul Ulum 2 Unggulan BPPT Jombang dengan jumlah masing-masing kelas eksperimen adalah 22 siswa. Instrumen yang digunakan berupa soal tes dan angket. Data hasil belajar kognitif siswa yang diperoleh akan dianalisis dengan anava satu jalur menggunakan SPSS 19 dan data angket akan dideskripsikan. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan terdapat perbedaan hasil belajar kognitif siswa yang diajar menggunakan magang kognitif dengan strategi RT, SB, dan SPS. Tingkat keterampilan metakognitif siswa secara individual mengalami kecendrungan meningkat untuk kelas RT, SB, dan SPS, sedangkan secara rata - rata kelas tingkat keterampilan metakognitif siswa berada pada tingkat 3 yaitu tingkat developing untuk kelas RT, dan SB, sedangkan untuk kelas SPS berada pada tingkat 4 yaitu tingkat ok. Disimpulkan bahwa pembelajaran magang kognitif dengan strategi SPS dapat digunakan untuk mengajarkan keterampilan metakognitif, dengan pendampingan yang lebih maksimal dan disarankan untuk menerapkan strategi RT dan SB pada topik yang memiliki karakteristik yang sesuai yaitu membaca dan menulis

Abstract

Implementation peripheral of study with character aim to overcome student moral decadence with moral attitude and improve result learn cognate at Human Reproductive System being use meaningful model study.The researcher use One Group Pretest-Postest Design during the implementation. The data were analized using quantitative and qualitative descriptive analysis. Result of implementation peripheral of study with character orient model study of meaningful in this research categorized very good. The implementation of the four lesson plans were very good. The 23 learning objectives were achieved. The achievement of moral attitude in moral knowing, moral feeling, and moral acting were very good. Suggestion the proposed is require to be developed by peripheral of study with character at different discussion fundamental to inculcate character values to educative participant Implementasi perangkat pembelajaran berkarakter bertujuan untuk mengatasi dekadensi moral siswa dengan membelajarakan sikap moral dan meningkatkan hasil belajar kognitif pada pokok bahasan Sistem Reproduksi Manusia menggunakan model pembelajaran pemaknaan. Rancangan penelitian yang dipakai adalah One Group Pretest-Postest Design dan hasil penelitian dianalisis menggunakan teknik analisis deskriptif kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Hasil implementasi perangkat pembelajaran berka rakter berorientasi model pembelajaran pemaknaan dalam penelitian ini dikategorikan sangat baik. Keterlaksanaan rata -rata dari keempat RPP dikategorikan sangat baik. Ketuntasan dari 23 Tujuan Pembelajaran tercapai. Hasil belajar kognitif mencapai 95% tuntas. H asil belajar sikap moral pada aspek pengetahuan moral (moral knowing), perasaan moral (moral feeling), dan tindakan moral (moral acting) mencapai 100% tuntas dengan kategori sangat baik. Saran yang diusulkan adalah perlu dikembangkan perangkat pembelajaran berkarakter pada pokok bahasan yang berbeda untuk menanamkan nilai-nilai karakter kepada peserta didik.

Abstract

Research learning characterized biology with Thinking Actively in Social Context (TASC) approach to increase creative thinking skills of students has been done tested to applied in 30 students of class X SMA Negeri 1Kebomas-Gresik with one-group pretest-posttest design. The results of this research are learning performance categorized good (3.82) in the score range 1-4, the ability to think creatively students increased due to treatment (Gain Score = 0.9 and T test = -tmearure < -ttable = -21.028 -2.045), thoroughness student learning outcomes in classical (0.93) and the individual (0.86) and thoroughness indicators (0.92) increased by the treatment (Gain score = 0.8) and categories are complete, and the response students positive (98 percent). The conclusions this research, learning with TASC approach can improve the creative thinking ability of senior high school student.Telah dilakukan penelitian pembelajaran biologi dengan pendekatan Thinking Actively in Social Context (TASC) dengan tujuan meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa dan diujicobakan pada 30 siswa kelas X SMA Negeri 1 Kebomas-Gresik dengan  desain  one  group  pretest-posttest.  Analisis  data  secara  deskriptif  kualitatif  dengan  hasil  pengamatan  keterlaksanaan pembelajaran kategori baik (3,82) dalam rentang skor 1-4, kemampuan berpikir kreatif siswa meningkat akibat perlakuan (Gain Score = 0,9 dan uji T = -thitung < -ttabel = - 21,028 < -2,045), ketuntasan hasil belajar siswa secara klasikal (0,93) dan individu (0,86) serta ketuntasan indikator (0,92) meningkat akibat perlakuan (Gain score = 0,8) dan kategori tuntas, serta respon siswa positif (98%). Simpulan penelitian ini, pembelajaran dengan pendekatan TASC dapat meningkatkan kemampuan  berpikir kreatif siswa SMA.

Abstract

This  research  aims  was  to develop  a competency-based  assessment  instruments  in subject  of  Science/Biology.  This research was carried out through the development of the following 4-D design models of Thiagarajan (1974) and then continued the implementation the classroom using One Shot Case Study Design. The data were obtained as follows: the results of the validation instruments decent role in the category; legibility of instruments indicates that the content, appearance, difficulty sentences and interesting pictures and easy to understand students; enforceability of good category; effectiveness of the instrument showed that cognitive assessment to have a reliability tes objective 0.39, the level of difficulty of items were easily as many as 11 items (36.7%), medium as many as 16 items (53.3%), and difficult as many as 3 items (10%), sensitive items as many as 27 items (90%) and less sensitive as many as 3 items (10%), while the essay test has a reliability of 0.45, an easy difficulty level items as many as 2 items (20%), medium as many as 4 items (40%), and difficult as many as 4 items (40%), sensitive items as many as 6 items (60%) and less sensitive as many as 4 items (40%); assessment of the affective domain has a reliability 0.81; assessment of psychomotor domains I has a reliability  of 0.52 and psychomotor  II has a reliability  of 0.62.  Student  field  constraints  are not  accustomed  to using competency-based assessment instrument. Based on the analysis of data, it can be concluded that a Competency-Based Assessment Instruments in subject of Science/Biology that have been developed are valid, practical, and effective.Penelitian  ini  bertujuan  untuk  mengembangkan  instrumen  asesmen  komprehensif  berbasis  kompetensi  pada  mata pelajaran IPA/Biologi. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan melalui pengembangan instrumen mengikuti rancangan 4-D model dari Thiagarajan  (1974)  kemudian  dilanjutkan  implementasi  di  kelas  menggunakan  rancangan  One  Shot  Case  Study.  Data  hasil penelitian yang diperoleh sebagai berikut: hasil validasi instrumen dalam kategori layak; keterbacaan instrumen  menunjukkan bahwa isi, penampilan, kesulitan kalimat dan gambar menarik dan mudah dipahami siswa; keterlaksanaan instrumen berkategori sangat baik; keefektifan instrumen menunjukkan bahwa asesmen ranah kognitif untuk tes objektif memiliki reliabilitas 0,39, tingkat kesukaran butir soal mudah sebanyak 11 butir soal (36,7%), sedang sebanyak 16 butir soal (53,3%), dan sukar sebanyak 3 butir soal (10%), butir soal sensitif sebanyak 27 butir soal (90%) dan kurang sensitif sebanyak 3 butir soal (10%), sedangkan tes uraian memiliki reliabilitas 0,45, tingkat kesukaran butir soal mudah sebanyak 2 butir soal (20%), sedang sebanyak 4 butir soal (40%), dan sukar sebanyak 4 butir soal (40%), butir soal sensitif sebanyak 6 butir soal (60%) dan kurang sensitif sebanyak 4 butir soal (40%); asesmen ranah afektif memiliki reliabilitas 0,81; asesmen ranah psikomotor I memiliki reliabilitas 0,52 dan psikomotor II memiliki reliabilitas  0,62.  Kendala  lapangan  adalah  siswa  belum  terbiasa  menggunakan  instrumen  asesmen  komprehensif  berbasis kompetensi. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data, dapat disimpulkan bahwa instrumen asesmen komprehensif berbasis kompetensi pada mata pelajaran IPA/Biologi yang dikembangkan valid, praktis, dan efektif.

Abstract

In evaluating the effectiveness of the 5Es model with analogy to providing access of deep understanding and attitudes to learn science, a case study research was brought involving 27 undergraduates who took The Human Anatomy and Physiology course. The data gathered were then analyzed using qualitative descriptive technique. The results informed that most students were successful to have deep understanding towards abstract concepts showing by grade of at least C or acceptable level and good attitudes  to  learn  science  within  which  all  students  possessed  the  same  perception  corresponding  to  interest  and  enjoyment regardless any different level of achievement. Overall, it could be concluded that the 5Es model with analogy was quietly effective to make deep understanding and attitudes to learn science appear in students learning.Dalam mengevaluasi keefektifan model 5Es dengan analogi terhadap pemahaman mendalam dan sikap belajar sains, sebuah studi kasus dilakukan dengan melibatkan 27 mahasiswa yang memprogram Mata Kuliah Anatomi dan Fisiologi Manusia. Data yang diperoleh kemudian dianalisis dengan metode deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil penelitian tersebut menginformasikan bahwa umumnya siswa berhasil untuk memahami konsep yang abstrak secara mendalam yang ditunjukkan dengan nilai minimal C dan memiliki sikap belajar sains yang baik terkait dengan kesenangan dan minat belajar tanpa menghiraukan pencapaian hasil belajar mereka. Oleh karena itu, dapat simpulkan bahwa model pengajaran 5E dan analogi terbukti efektif untuk memunculkan pemahaman konsep secara mendalam dan sikap belajar sains.

Abstract

This research aims to develop devices based science learning biology teaching model in an effort to teach the meaning of science and foster moral sensitivity on the subject of human respiratory system. This study was classified as research development , ie developing syllabus , lesson plans , worksheets , BAS , and THB . Follow the development of the design of the 4- D models of Thiagarajan (1974 ) followed by the implementation phase of learning in the classroom using a pretest - posttest design. Device developed then validated by experts and tested first at 10 eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 1 Tarik. The results showed the validity of the RPP , BAS , and worksheets categorized very well , and the validity of test questions categorized invalid and valid enough. Readability level device includes worksheets for BAS and 77,2 % to the category of material is too easy , and a description of the difficulties include BAS and LKS was 22,1 % with a fairly easy category . The success of RPP during three meetings very well categorized ; activity levels of students categorized quite active ; better student learning outcomes tests of cognitive abilities , processes , psychomotor and moral sensitivity tests considered complete . Barriers in the PBM especially low student motivation in participating in learning .Based on the analysis of data, it can be concluded that the biology-based science learning learning model of meaning on the subject of the human respiratory system is able to teach science and junior high school students growing moral sensitivity. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengembangkan perangkat pembelajaran IPA Biologi berbasis model pembelajaran pemaknaan sebagai upaya mengajarkan IPA dan menumbuhkan sensitivitas moral pada pokok bahasan Sistem Pernapasan Manusia. Penelitian initergolong penelitian pengembangan, yaitu mengembangkan Silabus, RPP, LKS, BAS, dan THB. Pengembangan perangkat mengikuti rancangan 4-D  model dari Thiagarajan (1974) dilanjutkan dengan tahap pelaksanaan pembelajaran di kelas menggunakan rancangan pretest-posttest design. Perangkat yang dikembangkan kemudian divalidasi oleh pakar dan diuji coba I pada 10 siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 1 Tarik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan validitas RPP, BAS, dan LKS berkategori baik; dan validitas soal tes berkategori valid. Tingkat keterbacaan perangkat meliputi BAS dan LKS sebesar 77,2% dengan kategori materi mudah; dan deskripsi kesulitan perangkat meliputi BAS dan LKS sebesar 22,1% dengan kategori tidak sulit. Keterlaksanaan RPP selama tiga kali pertemuan berkategori sangat baik; tingkat aktivitas siswa berkategori cukup aktif; hasil tes belajar siswa baik kemampuan kognitif, proses, psikomotor dan tes sensitivitas moral berhasil melampaui KKM yang ditetapkan. Hambatan dalam  PBM terutama siswa belum terbiasa dengan model pembelajaran pemaknaan. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data, dapat disimpulkan bahwa perangkat pembelajaran IPA Biologi berbasis model pembelajaran pemaknaan pada  pokok bahasan sistem pernapasan manusia efektif membelajarkan IPA dan menumbuhkan sensitivitas moral siswa SMP.

Abstract

Several studies have shown that mental models can affect a student's ability to perform reasoning on external representation faced. Student mental models are generally used to thinking in order to solve the problem. This study aims to look at the characteristics of mental models beginning of students in understand the concept of atomic structure. Samples were taken at random from the students of Department of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, class of 2012 with the grouping based on students' prior knowledge. The number of samples involved as many as 72 people consisting of students with the prior knowledge of high, medium, and low. Diagnostic tests are used to see the essays shaped the emergence of mental models.  The results showed that for all groups of prior knowledge, mental models beginning of students in understand the concept of atomic structure is still dominated by verbal mental model with the category of "very bad" and "bad" or the characteristics of mental model "formless/not clear" and mental model "intermediates_1." These results imply that the mental models of students can be used as a reference in setting learning to help students in solving problems related to the three levels of chemical phenomenon. To build a mental models of students towards a better, should be designed study involving interconnected between the third-levels of chemical phenomenon (macro, sub-micro, and symbolic).

Abstract

This research is based on the fact that the indicators of students independence and attention are low in learning process. This research aimed to describe the level of students independence (aspect of self confidence and responsibility), level of students attention (sustained attention and executive attention), cognitive learning outcome, students response, learning process, and the problems of learning process. The research design used is one group pretest-post test design, and analyzed using descriptive qualitative. The research was conducted on the students of senior high school (Madrasah Aliyah) class X in second semester. The result of research shows the level of students independence, attention and test score of student learning outcome either male or female students were improving. The students response of learning by using the integrated group investigation of power teaching also gets a good response and the learning process is categorized as very good category. Problem faced is only about creating the media of presentation but it can solved by students creativity to create the media. The conclusion of this research, is that by using The Integrated group Investigation of power teaching can keep the students independence, attention, and student learning outcome in ecosystem material. Thus method also gets a good response, and learning process is categorized as a very good category, and the problem of learning process can be solve by students creativity.: Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh kenyataan bahwa masih terdapat indikator indikator kemandirian dan atensi siswa yang rendah dalam proses pembelajaran. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan tingkat kemandirian siswa (aspek percaya diri dan tanggung jawab), tingkat atensi siswa (aspek atensi berkelanjutan dan atensi eksekutif), hasil belajar kognitif, respon siswa, keterlaksanaan rencana pembelajaran, dan kendala-kendala pada proses pembelajaran. Desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah One Group Pretest-Postest Design, dan analisis data secara deskriptif kualitatif. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada siswa MA (Madrasah Aliyah) kelas X pada semester genap. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan tingkat kemandirian, tingkat atensi, dan tes hasil belajar siswa baik kelas putra ataupun kelas putri mengalami peningkatan. Respon siswa terkait pembelajaran menggunanakan Group Investigation terintegrasi Power Teaching juga mendapatkan respon yang baik, dan keterlaksanaan kegiatan pembelajaran tergolong pada kategori baik sekali. Kendala yang dihadapi hanya terkait pada pembuatan media presentasi, akan tetapi hal tersebut dapat diatasi dengan kreatifitas masing masing siswa dalam pembuatan media tersebut. Simpulan penelitian ini, bahwa metode pembelajaran Group Investigation terintegrasi Power Teaching dapat mempertahankan kemandirian, atensi, dan hasil belajar kognitif siswa pada materi ekosistem. Metode tersebut juga mendapatkan respon yang baik, dan keterlaksanaan  rencana pembelajaran yang juga tergolong baik sekali, serta kendala pembelajaran yang bisa diselesaikan dengan kreativitas siswa.

Abstract

The study aims at examming 1) the difference of cognitive leraning outcomes between students  who were taught by using cooperative learning model of Make a Match type and the ones taught by using The Power of Two type, 2) the difference of affective learning outcomes between students who were taught by using cooperative learning model of Make a Match type and the ones taught by using the Power of Two type 3) the difference of psychomotor learning outcomes between students who were taught by using cooperative learning model Make a Match type and the ones taught by using The Power of Two type of grade XI students at SMAN 1 Sungguminasa Makassar. The study was a quasi-experiment research which employed the static group pretest posttest design. The study used the experiment group I by implementing cooperative learning model of Make a Match type and the experiment group II by implementing cooperative learning model of The Power of Two type. The instruments of the study were the test of learning outcomes to measure the cognitive learning outcomes, observation sheet to measure affective and psychomotor learning outcomes of the students. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistic analysis and inferential statistic analysis (uji t α = 0,05 ) supported by SPSS 17.0 for windows program. that the result using The Power of Two was higher than the one using The Power of Two.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk 1) Mengetahui perbedaan hasil belajar kognitif siswa dengan penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Make a Match dengan kooperatif tipe The Power of Two pada siswa kelas XI SMAN. 1 Sungguminasa Makassar 2) Mengetahui perbedaan hasil belajar afektif siswa dengan penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Make a Match dengan kooperatif tipe The Power of Two pada siswa kelas XI SMAN 1 Sungguminasa Makassar 3) Mengetahui perbedaan hasil belajar psikomotorik siswa dengan penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Make a Match dengan The Power of Two pada siswa kelas XI SMAN 1 Sungguminasa Makassar. Jenis penelitian ini adalah quasi eksperimen dengan rancangan The static Group Pretest Posttest Design. Instrumen penelitian berupa Tes Hasil Belajar (THB) untuk mengukur hasil belajar kognitif, dan lembar observasi untuk mengukur hasil belajar afektif dan psikomotorik siswa. Data dianalisis statistik deskriptif dan inferensial (Uji t α = 0,05) dengan bantuan program SPSS 17.0 for windows. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa 1) Hasil belajar kognitif siswa dengan penerapan model pembelajaran The Power of Two lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Make a Match 2) Hasil belajar afektif siswa dengan penerapan model pembelajaran tipe Make a Match lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe The Power of Two 3) Hasil belajar psikomotorik siswa dengan penerapan model pembelajaran tipe Make a Match lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe The Power of Two.

Abstract

The purposes of this study are to develop science learning material based on Curriculum 2013 to try science literacy of students in junior high school and then describe it. The learning material is developed by adapting Dick and Carey development model and the research design is One Group Pretest-Posttest Design. Try out of this research uses sample that are consist of 21 students with 2 observers and 2 validators. Research findings showed that component of learning material that are developed are valid, 80% score in readability and 10,6% score in difficulty. The learning material is practical in learning process. Average score of all activities in learning implementation is 3,6 with very good category. The learning material is also effective to try skill of students science literacy until 4th levels. Students involve in learning process actively and give positive response in those learning. The conclusion of this research is science learning material based on curriculum 2013 in fluids pressure and it application in daily life matter can be used to try science literacy of students in class VIII Junior High School properly.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan perangkat pembelajaran IPA berbasis Kurikulum 2013 untuk melatih literasi sains siswa SMP dan kemudian mendeskripsikannya. Perangkat dikembangkan dengan mengadaptasi model pengembangan Dick and Carey, sedangkan rancangan uji coba yang digunakan adalah One Group Pretest-Posttest Design. Penelitian uji coba  ini menggunakan sampel 21 siswa dengan 2 orang pengamat serta 2 validator. Temuan hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa komponen perangkat pembelajaran yang dikembangkan adalah valid, memiliki tingkat keterbacaan sebesar 80% dan tingkat kesulitan yang rendah yaitu 10,6%. Perangkat pembelajaran yang dihasilkan praktis digunakan dalam pembelajaran yang terlihat dari tingginya skor rata-rata kesuluruhan keterlaksanaan pembelajaran adalah 3,6 dengan kategori sangat baik. Perangkat pembelajaran yang dikembangkan juga efektif untuk melatih kemampuan literasi sains siswa sampai pada level 4. Begitu pula dengan aktivitas siswa yang dominan aktif dalam pembelajaran, siswa juga memberikan respon positif terhadap kegiatan pembelajaran. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian uji coba ini, dapat disimpulkan bahwa perangkat pembelajaran IPA berbasis Kurikulum 2013 materi tekanan zat cair dan penerapannya dalam kehidupan sehari-hari layak digunakan untuk melatih literasi sains siswa SMP kelas VIII.
