Abstract

Empirical evidence reveals that a common obstacle for students in writing a thesis is that they have difficulties in writing literature reviews, formulating a thesis topic or problem, and writing the contents of their thesis. The research was conducted to investigate metacognitive strategies and their impact on writing students’ theses. The research was conducted at the Islamic University of Nahdlatul Ulama (UNISNU) in Jepara. A case study research design guided this research. The participants involved were 30 students, comprising 20 women and 10 men, and the study included semi-structured interviews with 3 thesis supervisors. The findings reveal two main things. First, in the process of using metacognitive strategies, students map and develop writing concepts. Students are guided to compose various effective sentences, elaborating the introduction, main, and conclusion parts of the thesis in detail. Second, in terms of the impact of metacognitive skills, students can understand the contents of the thesis and recognise the characteristics of academic writing, writing procedures, and requirements for selecting topics. It can be concluded that students' metacognitive abilities contribute to the development of quality thesis writing skills.

Abstract

This study seeks to gauge the implementation, effectiveness, and lecturers’ perceptions of artificial intelligence (AI) integration in teaching at Politeknik Penerbangan Makassar, Indonesia. A mixed-methods approach was employed, utilizing Likert-scale questionnaires to measure implementation and effectiveness, and open-ended questionnaires to assess lecturers’ perceptions. The quantitative findings indicate that AI implementation is generally effective (mean = 4.00), with institutional policies and opportunities for student innovation being key factors, while infrastructure presents an obstacle. Qualitative results indicate that lecturers view AI as a transformative tool for enhancing teaching efficiency, providing instant and consistent feedback, and fostering creativity and collaboration. However, despite its benefits, lecturers emphasize the essential nature of human guidance, such as contextual feedback, emotional support, or ethical oversight. The novelty of the study’s approach lies in its focus on vocational higher education, a subject that has relatively little empirical evidence, and demonstrates how the introduction of AI can supplement rather than replace pedagogues’ work in learning. The implications of the findings provide practical guidance for policymakers and educators seeking more comprehensive institutional policies, targeted faculty development, and investment in technological infrastructure to leverage AI in teaching and learning effectively.

Abstract

This study discussed musculoskeletal risk analysis related to ergonomics, occupational safety, and health in agriculture in the Karawang district. Musculoskeletal Disorders (MSDs) are occupational diseases that cause pain in the joints. The working position of rice farmers, especially during planting rice seeds and harvesting rice, is not suitable for ergonomics. This study aims to identify the MSDs experienced by farmers in Karang Tanjung village, Karawang district. The study used an analytical method using the Nordic Body Map (NBM) and RULA questionnaires to assess work posture. A sample of 30 workers was chosen for an observational cross-sectional study. The results showed that the ergonomic risk level entered level 4 in the high category. The most dominant MSDs felt by rice farmers in Karang Tanjung village were the waist (98%) and the neck (95%). This research was expected to serve as a model for future musculoskeletal risk reduction research.

Abstract

This study aimed to formulate a conceptual model of disciplinary management in pesantren by integrating core Islamic ethical values into the POAC (Planning, Organizing, Actuating, Controlling) managerial framework. Using a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) with the PRISMA protocol on 12 studies (2020-2025), the research identified six foundational values—ṭāʿah, amānah, shūrā, uswah ḥasanah, iḥsān, and murāqabah—systematically embedded across all four managerial functions. The findings show pesantren discipline is rooted in internalization and spiritual consciousness, contrasting with coercive approaches. Mapping these values onto POAC provides a structured synthesis bridging classical Islamic ethics with modern management. Theoretically, this model advances the field of Islamic Education Management by offering a rigorous value-based managerial framework. Practically, it serves as an operational reference for leaders to design spiritually grounded and administratively coherent discipline systems relevant to contemporary challenges. The study is limited by its conceptual, SLR-based nature, restricting conclusions to theoretical interpretations. Future research must empirically validate this model through field studies, case studies, or comparative analyses across diverse pesantren contexts.

Abstract

Kinerja guru merupakan pilar utama dalam menentukan mutu pendidikan di madrasah, namun optimalisasinya sangat bergantung pada cara pemimpin mengelola lembaga tersebut. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis paradigma kepemimpinan kepala madrasah dalam upaya meningkatkan kinerja guru melalui tinjauan literatur yang mendalam. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah studi pustaka (library research) dengan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif, di mana data dikumpulkan dari berbagai jurnal ilmiah, buku teks manajemen pendidikan, dan laporan penelitian terdahulu yang relevan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat korelasi yang signifikan antara paradigma kepemimpinan yang dianut kepala madrasah dengan tingkat produktivitas pengajaran. Temuan studi mengungkapkan bahwa paradigma kepemimpinan transformatif dan instruksional jauh lebih efektif dalam memacu inovasi dan motivasi guru dibandingkan dengan model kepemimpinan birokratis-konvensional. Kepemimpinan transformatif mampu membangkitkan motivasi intrinsik melalui visi yang inspiratif, sementara kepemimpinan instruksional fokus pada pendampingan akademik secara klinis. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini menegaskan bahwa kepala madrasah harus mampu bertransformasi menjadi fasilitator dan mentor yang partisipatif untuk menciptakan iklim kerja yang kondusif. Implikasi dari studi ini menyarankan pentingnya penguatan kompetensi kepemimpinan kontemporer bagi kepala madrasah guna menjamin peningkatan kinerja guru yang berkelanjutan di era modern.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis peran kualitas pendidikan dalam memperkuat daya saing Madrasah Aliyah Al Hadi Girikusuma. Kualitas pendidikan di madrasah ini dilihat dari kompetensi guru, inovasi pembelajaran, manajemen pendidikan, dan fasilitas pendukung. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus, melalui pengumpulan data dengan wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa peningkatan kompetensi guru dan inovasi dalam pembelajaran berdampak signifikan terhadap mutu pendidikan. Manajemen pendidikan yang efektif dan fasilitas yang memadai juga mendukung peningkatan kualitas pendidikan secara berkelanjutan. Konsekuensinya, Madrasah Aliyah Al Hadi Girikusuma mampu memperkuat daya saingnya, yang terlihat dari akreditasi A, meningkatnya jumlah pendaftar, prestasi akademik dan non-akademik, serta kesiapan lulusan dalam menghadapi tantangan pendidikan lanjutan maupun dunia kerja. Penelitian ini menegaskan bahwa kualitas pendidikan adalah fondasi utama dalam memperkuat daya saing madrasah sebagai lembaga pendidikan Islam yang unggul.

Abstract

This article examines a mentoring program for Special Education Support Teachers (Guru Pendamping Khusus / GPK) aimed at improving competencies in behavior management and intervention for Children with Special Needs (CSN) at Buah Hati Learning Center in Mataram. The mentoring program focuses on strengthening GPKs’ practical skills in implementing effective, consistent, and scientifically grounded behavioral intervention strategies. The program seeks to enhance GPKs’ capacity to understand the behavioral characteristics of CSN, conduct systematic behavioral observations, analyze behavioral triggers, and apply positive behavior intervention strategies, while simultaneously reinforcing behavior management systems at the institutional level. The mentoring was implemented using a Participatory Action Research (PAR) approach, encompassing stages of needs identification, action planning, conceptual training, individual coaching, structured observation, and collaborative reflection. Data were collected through interviews, observations, field notes, and documentation of classroom practices. The results indicate a significant improvement in GPK competencies, particularly in the application of positive reinforcement, ABC (Antecedent–Behavior–Consequence) behavioral analysis, management of challenging behaviors, and the development of individualized behavior intervention plans. Positive impacts were also observed among CSN, including a reduction in maladaptive behaviors, improved ability to follow instructions, and the creation of a more conducive learning environment. At the institutional level, the program generated strategic recommendations, including the development of standard operating procedures (SOPs) for behavior management, strengthened supervision mechanisms, and the creation of internal behavior management modules.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis secara komparatif teori motivasi Abraham Maslow dengan konsep nafs dalam Islam serta mengkaji implikasinya terhadap kinerja guru di lingkungan pendidikan Islam. Latar belakang penelitian ini didasarkan pada kenyataan bahwa motivasi guru tidak hanya ditentukan oleh faktor kebutuhan material dan psikologis, tetapi juga dipengaruhi oleh kekuatan spiritual yang memberikan arah dan makna dalam bekerja. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah studi kepustakaan dengan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif-komparatif yang berfokus pada literatur psikologi dan sumber-sumber keislaman, seperti Al-Qur’an, hadis, dan pemikiran ulama tentang konsep nafs. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa teori Maslow menekankan pemenuhan kebutuhan manusia secara bertahap mulai dari kebutuhan fisiologis hingga aktualisasi diri. Sementara itu, konsep nafs dalam Islam menggambarkan perkembangan jiwa manusia dalam mencapai tingkat spiritual yang lebih tinggi, yakni nafs al-ammārah, nafs al-lawwāmah, dan nafs al-muṭmainnah. Perbandingan keduanya menunjukkan bahwa orientasi motivasi dalam Islam lebih komprehensif karena tidak hanya berfokus pada pencapaian duniawi, tetapi juga pada peningkatan akhlak dan pencarian ridha Allah SWT sebagai tujuan akhir. Implikasi penelitian ini mempertegas bahwa peningkatan kinerja guru yang ideal harus dilakukan melalui pendekatan integratif yang mencakup pemenuhan kesejahteraan material sekaligus penguatan spiritualitas. Guru yang memiliki motivasi spiritual kuat akan menunjukkan dedikasi profesional yang lebih stabil, etos kerja tinggi, serta perilaku mendidik yang berlandaskan nilai-nilai moral. Oleh karena itu, lembaga pendidikan Islam perlu mengembangkan strategi pembinaan motivasi yang holistik agar kualitas kinerja guru dapat terus ditingkatkan secara berkelanjutan.

Abstract

ABSTRAKPenelitian ini bertujuan mengkaji bagaimana praktik green human resources management dapat mendorong organizational citizenship behavior for the environment (OCBE) di sektor perbankan, dengan lokus penelitian pada bank-bank BUMN yang beroperasi di Kabupaten Kepulauan Selayar, yaitu BRI, BNI, Bank Mandiri, dan BTN. Jenis penelitian yang disebut penelitian asosiatif kausal adalah berbasis kuantitatif. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah karyawan Bank BUMN Kabupaten Selayar yaitu: Bank Rakyat Indonesia, Bank Negara Indonesia dan Bank Mandiri dimana jumlah anggota populasi tidak diketahui, responden yang ditentukan dengan teknik convenience sampling dengan total responden Adalah 96. Hasil penelitian menemukan bahwa green training, green performance management, dan green employee involvement terbukti berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap organizational citizenship behavior for the environment (OCBE), sedangkan green reward tidak berpengaruh signifikan. Temuan ini mengindikasikan bahwa perilaku sukarela karyawan dalam mendukung keberlanjutan lebih banyak dipengaruhi oleh aspek pembelajaran, sistem manajemen, serta keterlibatan aktif, daripada sekadar insentif atau penghargaan yang diberikan organisasi.Kata Kunci:Green Training; Green Performance Management; Green Employee Involvement; Organizational Citizenship Behavior for The EnvironmentABSTRACTThis study aims to examine how the practice of green human resources management can encourage organizational citizenship behavior for the environment (OCBE) in the banking sector, with a research locus on state-owned banks operating in the Selayar Islands Regency, namely BRI, BNI, and Bank Mandiri. The type of research called causal associative research is quantitative-based. The population in this study is employees of Bank BUMN Selayar Regency, namely: Bank Rakyat Indonesia, Bank Negara Indonesia and Bank Mandiri where the number of population members is unknown, respondents determined by convenience sampling technique with a total of 96 respondents. The results of the study found that green training, green performance management, and green employee involvement were proven to have a positive and significant effect on organizational citizenship behavior for the environment (OCBE), while green rewards did not have a significant effect. These findings indicate that employees' voluntary behavior in supporting sustainability is more influenced by aspects of learning, management systems, and active engagement, rather than just incentives or rewards provided by organizations.Keywords:Green Training; Green Performance Management; Green Employee Involvement; Organizational Citizenship Behavior for The Environment
