Abstract

Introduction: In Indonesia, the number of cases of disease events continues to increase every year, there is no increase in PT. Virtue Dragon Nickel Industry that is one of the largest industries in Southeast Sulawesi Province where the number of cases of occupational diseases also continues to increase. Method: Research using a cross-sectional research design. The research location is at PT. Virtue Dragon Nickel Industry Mega industrial area of Konawe district. The sample in this study was 100 employees who worked especially in the smelter unit. To find out the relationship between the dependent variable and the independent variable, it was carried out using the Chi-Square test with a significant level (α= 0.05). Result: This study shows that There is a significant relationship between working hours and the incidence of occupational diseases in employees of PT. Virtue Dragon Nickel Industry p-value = 0.000. There is a relationship between noise and the incidence of occupational diseases in employees of PT. Virtue Dragon Nickel Industry p-value=0.000. Conclusion: Working hours and noice have a relationship with the incidence of occupational diseases at PT. The Dragon of Virtue Nickel Industry.

Abstract

Introduction: Based on the 2019 of Regional Health Research, the early detection of cancer that has been carried out is the early detection of cervical cancer using the IVA method (Visual Inspection with Acetic Acid), which shows a decrease in IVA detection in each public health center and is still far from the national target of 100%. East Kolaka District is the area with the second lowest IVA examination rate at 0.08% while the first lowest IVA examination area is in Konawe District at 0.04% from 17 districts. Method: This type of research is experimental research, a pre-experimental design with Four Groups Pretest-Posttest research design, was used to examine the role of the counseling media to the knowledge, attitudes and actions of women childbearing age in the IVA examination in East Kolaka District. The sample size of the respondents was 186 people. Result: The Role models, FGDs, leaflets and whatsapp application had an effect on knowledge, attitudes and actions in the IVA examination in East Kolaka District. Conclusion: Looking at the average increase in the result shows that whatsapp media was more effective in increasing knowledge, attitudes and actions than the other three media.

Abstract

Introduction: Direct observation of people who live above the sea, there are people who do not use soap when cleaning themselves because they bathe directly in the sea and they throw their garbage at sea. This is because people's knowledge is still lacking regarding their actions in throwing garbage at sea so that it makes the sea polluted where sea water is used for personal hygiene including washing and there are 70% of people using septic tanks openly that go directly to the sea. Method: The design used by the researcher is pre-experimental using a pretest-posttest model with the aim of finding the effect of focus group discussion. The population as many as 82 people and the number of samples as many as 68 people with sampling using random sampling. Result: Earned p-value = 0.000 < 0.05 Ho is rejected, this shows that Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted which means that there is an influence of knowledge through giving Focus Group Discussion and value 0.000 <0.05 which means that there is a significant influence between attitudes towards giving focus group discussion (FGD) in an effort to prevent dermatitis in the Bajo community in the Wawonii Health Center Work Area. Conclusion: There is a significant influence between knowledge and attitudes through treatment focus group discussion on the prevention of dermatitis in the Bajo community in the working area of the Wawonii Public Health Center

Abstract

Introduction: Anemia in pregnancy is a national problem because it reflects the value of the socio-economic welfare of the community and has a very large influence on the quality of human resources. WHO reports that the prevalence of pregnant women worldwide WHO experience anemia is 41.8%. Method: The type of research used in this study is a quantitative study,namely a cross-sectional study, the research sample size is 98 people obtained by simple random sampling. The data was processed using the chi-square test. Result: This study shows that there is a significant relationship between ANC service quality and anemia in pregnant women with a p-value=0.000. There is a relationship between diet and anemia in pregnant with p-value= 0.009. There is a relationship between adherence to consuming Fe tablets with anemia in pregnant with p-value=0.000. Conclusion: ANC service quality, diet, and Fe consumption compliance have a relationship with the incidence of anemia in pregnant women at the Kolaka Public Health Center and Pomalaa Health Center, Kolaka Regency.

Abstract

Introduction: Clean and Healthy Living Behavior in household arrangements, especially in the Konawe district in 2021, amounted to 1,721 households that applied only 36.39% of the 4,729 RTs surveyed. And in 2021 it will increase by 25,721 households that apply by 44.26% from 48,337 RTs surveyed. The results of initial observations made to the community, from 33 Morosi village residents who were interviewed all did not understand what clean and healthy living behavior was. Method: This study uses pre-experimental research methods. The research design used was One-Group Pretest-Posttest. In this research design, group extension methods were used. The research implementation time will be carried out for approximately 30 days starting from April to June 2022. Thus, the total sample for this study is 161 respondents. Result: It is known that the average increase for the attitude variable is 11.83851 with a t-count value greater than t-table (7,315 > 1.61831) and the Action variable with an average increase of 26,27329 and it is known that the t-count for the action variable is greater than t-table (15,611> 1.68299). Conclusion: There is an effect of counseling on increasing community attitudes and actions or practices regarding Clean and Healthy Life Behavior in households in the Morosi Village Industrial area.

Abstract

Introduction: Kendari city as the provincial capital with the largest number of health facilities and logistical access compared to other cities in Southeast Sulawesi still finds cases of malnutrition around 5%. The percentage of undernourished, at the age of 0-59 months, the highest was recorded at the Benu-benua health center, Benu-benua village at 2.15%, far above the Kendari city average of 0.72%. This nutritional status is thought to be related to the level of intelligence of children in the area. Methods: The type of research that will be conducted is quantitative research with a cross-sectional design. Population of this study is 251 students and the number of samples is 108, the sampling method is stratified random sampling, the data is tested with the Kruskal Wallis test after the data obtained are not normally distributed. Result: The results of this study on the current nutritional status showed a P Value of 0.017 < 0.05 and the previous nutritional status showed a P Value of 0.026 < 0.5, while the social status showed a P Value of 0.139 > 0.05. Conclusion:The conclusion of this study is that there is a relationship between current nutritional status and previous nutritional status with students' IQ scores and there is no relationship between socioeconomic status and students' IQ scores.

Abstract

Introduction: Based on an initial survey conducted at 15 Public Health in Kendari City, it was found that gastritis increased by 11798 (29.4%). Kendari City population data as many as 401,719 people spread over 15 sub-districts, seen from the annual report of the Kendari City Office. Thus, researchers feel the need to conduct research on factors related to the incidence of gastritis in Kendari City. Methods: This type of quantitative research with a cross sectional design has a population of all patients who come for treatment at 15 Kendari City Health Centers totaling 11798 and a sample of 385 patients. Result: The results of the study stated that of the 385 respondents who declared gastritis there were 201 (52.2%) and 185 (47.8%) respondents stated that they did not have gastritis. Based on statistical tests, it showed that there was a significant relationship between stress and gastritis (p value = 0.000) and smoking on the incidence of gastritis (p value = 0.024) while the variable of diet (p value = 0.000) which means that there is a relationship between diet and the incidence of gastritis in the city of Kendari Conclusion: There is a relationship between stress and gastritis, there is no relationship between smoking and gastritis, and there is a relationship between diet and gastritis.

Abstract

Background: ARI is one of the diseases with a fairly high mortality and mortality rate, the housing environment in particular is very influential on the immune system. Housing that is dirty, cramped, crowded, and does not have adequate clean water facilities will cause children to be often infected by germs that come from dirty places and eventually get various infectious diseases. Houses that do not have enough clean air flow and whose residents are often found in the kitchen accumulated in the house will be susceptible to ARI. Methods: The type of research uses a quantitative research design with a cross sectional study design with a total sample of 95 respondents. Results: There is a relationship between residential density, home environment and immunization with the incidence of ARI in children under five in the coastal area of ​​the working area of ​​the Kolono Health Center and Tumbujaya Health Center, Kolono District and East Kolono District, South Konawe Regency. Conclusion: Factors related to ARI in toddlers include residential density, home environment, and immunization.

Abstract

Introduction: Hospital is part of a social and health organization with the function of providing complete services (comprehensive), disease healing (curative) and disease prevention (preventive) to the community. The performance of health workers is a problem that must be overcome, it is because health services determine the quality of hospital services. The performance of health workers can be influenced by workload, work stress, work environment, work fatigue, and the application of SOP. Methods: This type of research uses a quantitative research design with a cross-sectional study design. The total population is 49 people, with a large sample of 44 people. The sampling technique in this study used the Cluster Random Sampling technique, using the Chi-Square Statistical test. Results: The results showed that there was a relationship between workload and the results of the X2count = 7.079, the X2table value = 3.841, and the Phi value = 0.449, work stress with the X2count value = 8.838, the X2table value = 3.841, and the Phi value = 0.494. Conclusion: The performance of health officers influenced by workload, work stress, work environment, work fatigue, and the application of SOPs. It is recommended that the hospital management can pay more attention to their health workers in order to improve the performance of health workers in the ER Bahteramas Hospital, Southeast Sulawesi Province.

Abstract

Backgrounds: HIV/AIDS has become an emergency problem throughout the world, where there is still high transmission of infection, morbidity, and mortality. Based on data obtained at the VCT Clinic at the Kendari City Hospital, over the past 5 years, there has been an increase in new cases, where at the end of 2022 it is known that the HIV/AIDS Incidence Rate is 183/100,000. This study aims to analyze the determinants of quality of life in people with HIV/AIDS at the VCT Clinic at Kendari City Hospital. Methods: The type of research used in this research is quantitative research, using a cross-sectional study design. The population in this study was 247 people. The number of research samples is 151 people, with sampling using Simple Random Sampling. Data analysis was carried out descriptively and inferentially using the Chi-Square test. Results: The results showed that there was a relationship between spirituality (X2count = 6.071 > X2table = 3.841), duration of infection (X2count = 6.334 > X2table = 3.841), and the quality of life of PLHIV. Conclusion: There is a relationship between spirituality and duration of infection with the quality of life of PLWHA at the VCT Clinic at Kendari City Hospital.
