Abstract

In today's digital era, map and navigation applications have become essential tools for users to find locations, obtain the fastest routes, and explore new places. Google Maps is one of the most popular and comprehensive mapping applications that offers various features, such as navigation. However, despite being highly beneficial, Google Maps has several limitations, particularly regarding map markers, personalized, creating individual routes, and offline map usage on navigation. To address these issues, this research develops an innovative application called StellarPath. StellarPath is a mobile-based digital map location marker application that adopts Location Based Service (LBS) methods for more effective navigation. This application focuses on offline usability as a digital map marker and includes features such as offline maps stored indefinitely, offline navigation, manual route creation, and higher personalization, allowing users to save and manage markers with additional information offline. Test results show a success rate of 92.5%, indicating the application's effectiveness. The conclusion drawn is that the application can download and store maps offline, although it has shortcomings in managing downloaded maps. The offline navigation feature allows users to draw, save, and manage manual routes on the map. Users can create and save location markers with additional information offline. Navigation is flexible, with the option to start navigation by tapping on the map and features that can be enabled or disabled. This research aims to provide a more flexible and personalized navigation solution compared to existing standard map and navigation applications, such as Google Maps.

Abstract

Depression is a mental health disorder that is often unrecognized and can develop into a more serious issue if not addressed properly. One of the main challenges in managing depression is the lack of tools that can objectively measure the severity of symptoms and determine who requires immediate treatment. This study aims to develop an expert system based on Fuzzy Multiple Attribute Decision Making (MADM) with the Simple Additive Weighting (SAW) method to prioritize the treatment of depression symptoms based on criteria such as intensity, duration, and impact on daily life. The system goes through several stages, including data pre-processing, fuzzification, criterion weighting, decision matrix normalization, and ranking calculation using SAW, resulting in an accurate treatment priority ranking. The research findings show that this system can assist healthcare professionals in identifying individuals with the most severe symptoms who require immediate intervention, thereby speeding up treatment and improving the effectiveness of therapy provided.

Abstract

A Nonparametric regression with a truncated biresponse spline approach is a good method in solving the problem of unknown shape of the regression curve. Truncated splines provide high flexibility in estimating curves that have data patterns that tend to change at certain intervals and do not require classic assumption tests. The purpose of this study was to obtain the best biresponse truncated spline regression model for North Sumatra's inflation and GRDP. This study uses qualitative methods and uses secondary data obtained from the Central Bureau of Statistics of North Sumatra. Selection of the best model is determined based on the optimal knot point using the minimum GCV value criteria. The research results obtained are the best spline model with 3 knot points with an MSE value of 1.6028 and a minimum GCV value of 0.0452. The value of response 1 is 14.64% and response 2 is 61.85%. This means that the ability of the predictor variable to explain the variance of the response variable is 14.64% and the remaining 61.85% is influenced by other factors.
