Abstract

Historical material is one of the most important materials to be conveyed to students. Islamic civilization is one of the materials taught at the lecture level, especially at Islamic Religious Universities. In the learning process, often Islamic civilization material is not conveyed well to students because it uses lecture methods and powerpoint media only. In dealing with this problem, the use of timeline media by presenting a coherent and concrete timeline of events becomes a solution to convey Islamic civilization material. The purpose of this study is to determine the influence of the use of timeline media on the ability to understand Islamic civilization material. This study uses a type of quantitative research pseudo-experiment with Nonequivalent control group design. The population used in this study was all 2nd semester students of the Department of Arabic Language Education class A UIN Sunan Kalijaga which totaled 29 people. The sample used was the entire population of 29 people. Data collection technique using coesiner instrument with Likert scale model. The analysis technique used in this study is a simple linear regression analysis technique. The results obtained were a significant influence between the use of timeline media on students' ability to understand Islamic Civilization material by 47.6%.

Abstract

Kehadiran paham radikalisme khususnya di Indonesia membuat semangat Islam yang cinta perdamaian dan toleransi yang telah dibangun oleh para pembawa ajaran Islam di Indonesia pada zaman awal penyebarannya perlahan terkikis. Kenyataan ini menuntut setiap elemen, tak terkecuali lembaga pendidikan tinggi untuk ikut andil menghambat penyebarannya, diantaranya dengan menerapkan model pembelajaran berbasis moderasi. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui persepsi mahasiswa tentang penerapan model pembelajaran SKI berbasis moderasi. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif dengan metode pengumpulan data melalui observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Analisis yang digunakan adalah deskriptif analitik. Berdasarkan penelitian, ada tiga hal yang dilakukan dosen untuk menanamkan nilai moderasi pada mahasiswa melalui pembelajaran SKI yaitu pertama, menggunakan referensi yang variatif. Kedua, menjadi penengah ketika terjadi perselisihan pemahaman mahasiswa di kelas. Ketiga, mengorelasikan peristiwa masa lalu dengan kehidupan masyarakat Indonesia masa sekarang.

Abstract

In the context of globalization, contemporary society encounters significant obstacles in fostering unity within variety, frequently leading to identity conflicts stemming from the failure of individuals or groups to acknowledge and value differences. This study aims to analyze the concept of multicultural values in Al-Hujurat verse 13 through Ibn Kathir's Tafsir. The employed methodology is a literature review utilizing a content analysis approach. This study's findings indicate that, according to Tafsir Ibn Kathir, the passage suggests that multiculturalism promotes appreciation for diversity, with piety serving as the primary criterion for an individual's nobility, rather than ethnic or racial identity. Furthermore, Islamic teachings advocate for the establishment of a harmonious existence within variety and denounce all types of prejudice based on ethnic or cultural backgrounds. Berangkat dari kompleksnya interaksi antarbudaya di era globalisasi, masyarakat modern menghadapi tantangan besar dalam membangun kesatuan di tengah keberagaman, sering kali terjadi konflik identitas akibat ketidakmampuan individu atau kelompok untuk menerima dan menghargai perbedaan. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengkaji konsep nilai multikultural yang terkandung dalam surah Al-Hujurat ayat 13 melalui analisis Tafsir Ibnu Katsir. Metode yang digunakan adalah studi kepustakaan dengan pendekatan analisis isi. Hasil penelitian ini mengungkapkan bahwa menurut Tafsir Ibnu Katsir, Ayat tersebut menyiratkan bahwa multikulturalisme mengajarkan penghargaan terhadap perbedaan, di mana takwa dijadikan sebagai ukuran utama kemuliaan seseorang, bukan berdasarkan identitas etnis atau ras. Selain itu, ajaran Islam mendukung terciptanya kehidupan yang harmonis di tengah keragaman, serta menolak segala bentuk diskriminasi yang didasarkan pada latar belakang etnis atau budaya.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to discuss the contribution of artificial intelligence to student character at the basic education level. The research method used is qualitative with a literature study. The results of this study reveal that there are three main things about the contribution of AI to the character building of MI/SD students, first, the personalization of learning, second, the impact caused both positively and negatively, and the influence of AI on the character of MI/SD students in learning. Therefore, teachers and parents need to direct students to be smart in using AI as a learning tool, not as the main source of knowledge, because AI is a man-made technology that has limitations in recognizing the psychology of students. AI is utilized to facilitate students' learning and stimulate their thinking.

Abstract

This study aims to identify the impact of YouTube on the language development of early childhood in the Pelita area of ​​Mataram City. YouTube, as one of the most popular digital platforms, attracts not only adults but also children, who are increasingly involved in the content presented. Using a descriptive qualitative method, this study describes the conditions in the field in detail through interviews with parents and observations of children's behavior when they access YouTube content. Research shows that YouTube has a dual impact on children's language development. On the one hand, children who watch educational content tend to experience increased vocabulary, foreign language comprehension, and communication skills. However, on the other hand, children can also be exposed to indecent words and inappropriate content, which can affect the way they communicate. Therefore, parental supervision is needed so that the benefits of positive content are more optimal and the risk of negative content can be reduced.   ABSTRAK  Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi dampak youtube terhadap perkembangan bahasa anak usia dini di lingkungan Pelita Kota Mataram. YouTube, sebagai salah satu platform digital yang paling populer, tidak hanya menarik perhatian orang dewasa tetapi juga anak-anak, yang semakin terlibat dalam konten-konten yang disajikan. Dengan menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif, penelitian ini menggambarkan kondisi di lapangan secara rinci melalui wawancara dengan orang tua dan observasi terhadap perilaku anak-anak saat mereka mengakses konten YouTube. Penelitian menunjukkan bahwa youtube memiliki dampak ganda pada perkembangan bahasa anak. Di satu sisi, anak yang menonton konten edukatif cenderung mengalami peningkatan kosakata, pemahaman bahasa asing, dan keterampilan berkomunikasi. Namun, di sisi lain, anak juga dapat terpapar kata-kata tidak senonoh dan konten kurang pantas, yang dapat memengaruhi cara berkomunikasi mereka. Karena itu, diperlukan pengawasan orang tua agar manfaat dari konten positif lebih optimal dan risiko konten negatif dapat dikurangi.

Abstract

Islam has undergone a long process of regeneration in Minangkabau, the integration between customs and Islam in Minangkabau is reflected in their philosophy of life, "adat basandi syarak, syarak basandi kitabullah." This philosophy shows that Minangkabau customs are based on Islamic law, and Islamic law is based on the Qur'an. Traditional values and norms as well as the Islamic religion serve as the basis and guideline for people's lives, ensuring that religious traditions and beliefs support each other. This study uses a literature review method. By collecting, evaluating, and synthesizing scientific literature relevant to the topic discussed. Through this research, it is hoped that it can be explored more deeply how the integration of Islam in the tradition of basandi syarak, syarak basandi kitabullah in the Minangkabau community, as well as its impact on their social, cultural, and religious life. The results of the study show that the integration of Islam in the Basandi Syarak Custom, Syarak Basandi Kitabullah in the Minangkabau community combines Islamic values with local customs and traditions, reflecting the close harmony between the two. Ian G. Barbour's integrative approach provides a relevant framework, assisting communities in facing the challenges of globalization and modernity preserving their cultural heritage while strengthening social harmony. The social, cultural, and religious implications of ABS-SBK integration underscore the importance of this strategy as a foundation for strengthening social identity and maintaining cultural diversity and social sustainability in Minangkabau.

Abstract

This research aims to investigate the transformation of the mindset of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) teachers at MTs Al-Barokah Robotika with a focus on developing professionalism. The research background is based on the need for in-depth understanding of PAI teacher mindset problems and the urgency of presenting innovative solutions amidst the dynamics of modern education. Qualitative research methods were carried out through case studies at MTs Al-Barokah Robotika by collecting data through in-depth interviews and observations of PAI teachers and school principals. A comprehensive literature review supports the choice of this method, while the research instrument is designed to capture aspects of teaching experience, professionalism, mindset transformation, and application of technology in the context of Islamic religious education. The research results reveal the positive impact of the transformation of PAI teachers' mindsets, manifested in changes to dynamic teaching approaches, inclusive teacher-student interactions, and increased student academic achievement. Teacher and student satisfaction, together with the madrasah's positive reputation, contributes to creating an educational environment that is competitive and relevant in the modern era. The research conclusions confirm that efforts to improve teacher mindsets play a significant role in achieving the goals of quality education at MTs Al-Barokah Robotika. Recommendations involve adopting an open attitude to change, developing openness to lifelong learning, collaboration, and a reflective mindset.

Abstract

Tujuan adanya artikel ini untuk menginvestigasi cara guru di TK Aisyiyah 11 Palembang dalam menumbuhkan minat belajar matematika permulaan pada anak usia dini. Dengan mengetahui strategi yang bagus dalam menumbuhkan minat belajar matematika anak, hal bisa dipratekkan oleh orang tua di rumah ketika ingin mengajarkan anak matematika permulaan. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif deskriptif dengan sampel guru kelas B2 TK Aisyiyah 11 Palembang. Teknik sampling yang digunakan adalah purposive sampling. Hasil dari penelitian bahwa strategi yang dilakukan oleh guru TK Aisyiyah 11 Palembang dalam mengajarkan Matematika permulaan kepada anak adalah dengan menggunakan media yang dibuat oleh guru dengan bahan yang ada di lingkungan sekitar, lalu anak harus terlibat aktif dalam proses pembelajaran. Selanjutnya dalam proses pembelajaran guru melakukan ice breaking. Selain itu guru menggunakan metode pemberian tugas demi melatih kemampuan matematika permulaan anak. Kesimpulan strategi yang dilaksanakan oleh guru di TK Aisyiyah 11 Palembang dapat membuat kemampuan matematika permulaan anak meningkat dibuktikan dengan lembar kerja anak yang mampu memahami konsep matematika permulaan.

Abstract

Purpose  – This research examines the pivotal role played by the Head of SMP Negeri 3 Kasihan in implementing character education strengthening. It seeks to explore the process of implementing character education, shedding light on the key supporting and inhibiting factors during the Industrial Revolution era 4.0 and the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic. Design/methods/approach  – Conducted as a qualitative study, this research utilized a field survey approach employing descriptive analysis. The study occurred at SMP Negeri 3 Kasihan and used data collection methods such as observation, interviews, and documentation. An inductive method was applied, concluding specific facts to generalize findings. Findings  – The research findings reveal three main points: (1) The Head of the school serves various roles, including manager, educator, administrator, supervisor, leader, and innovator, in implementing character education strengthening. (2) In the era of Industry 4.0, the process involves personality development through scouting and the introduction of technology. Character-strengthening education was conducted during the pandemic through distance, online, and blended learning. (3) Students adapt to the times, with online implementation a significant supporting factor. However, challenges include suboptimal material delivery and a lack of direct monitoring due to the online learning environment. Research implications/limitations  – The impact of this research extends to educational policymakers and practitioners, emphasizing the multifaceted role of school leaders in character education. Rules include the specific context of SMP Negeri 3 Kasihan and the challenges the online learning environment poses. Practical implications  – The study underscores the need for adaptive approaches in character education implementation, recognizing the role of school leaders as crucial in overcoming challenges, especially in the context of the Industrial Revolution era 4.0 and the pandemic. Originality/value  – This research contributes to the literature by providing insights into the specific challenges and strategies the Head of SMP Negeri 3 Kasihan employs in implementing character education during dynamic times. The study's originality lies in examining the dual impact of Industry 4.0 and the pandemic on character education, offering valuable lessons for educational institutions navigating similar challenges.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi oleh kurangnya pengenalan konsep gender pada anak usia dini, sehingga tujuan artikel ini untuk mengetahui efektivitas alat permainan edukatif Bombik Bunga untuk memperkenalkan konsep gender pada anak usia dini. Metode yang digunakan pendekatan kualitatif-deskriptif, pengamatan dilakukan terhadap 15 anak berusia 4-5 tahun di TK Pkk Sopaah Pamekasan selama kurang lebih satu bulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa alat permainan edukatif Bombik Bunga evektif meningkatkan pengenalan konsep gender pada anak usia dini. Anak didik mampu menunjukkan peningkatan kemampuan dalam mengidentifikasi peran gender melalui kegiatan bermain, dalam kegiatan bermain bombik pada anak diberikan disetiap kegiatan lebih awal selesai. Jadi guru kelas mampu mengamati secara langsung bagaimana anak-anak melakukan atau memainkan bombik bunga. Dalam hal ini anak perempuan lebih merangkai bombik bunga kedalam bentuk, seperti bunga, tempat make up, dll, sedangkan untuk anak laki-laki lebih merangkai kedalam bentuk seperti alat tembak, bola, dan banyak lagi macamnya. Dalam hal ini peran orang tua di dalam keluarga dan faktor lingkungan juga sangat berpengaruh terhadap pengenalan gender pada anak usia dini. Temuan ini berkontribusi pada pengembangan metode pembelajaran inovatif dalam pendidikan gender usia dini, menyediakan landasan bagi pendidik untuk merancang kurikulum yang lebih inklusif dan responsif tentang gender.
