Abstract

This study seeks to examine the effect of price and service quality on customer satisfaction across two coffee beverage brands, specifically Kopi Kenangan and Tomoro Coffee. This study focuses on assessing how much each variable, both separately and together, impacts customer satisfaction at the two coffee outlets. This research outlines the theories related to price, service quality, and customer satisfaction. Data collection was carried out by distributing questionnaires to customers of both coffee brands, and the data were then analyzed quantitatively through tests of validity, reliability, and linear regression. The analysis results indicate that both service quality and price significantly affect customer satisfaction, both independently and simultaneously. Kopi Kenangan is considered superior in terms of competitive prices and fast service, while Tomoro Coffee stands out in menu variations and a more personalized customer experience. The study concludes that enhancing service quality and implementing strategic pricing can positively influence customer satisfaction and loyalty within the coffee beverage sector.

Abstract

This research aims to obtain the Cox regression equation in managing student study duration data and to determine variables or factors that significantly influence student study duration. We used data from 2017 FPMIPATI (Fakultas Pendidikan Matematika, Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam dan Teknologi Informasi) UPGRIS (Universitas PGI Semarang) Mathematics Education study program students which consisted of four predictor variables including gender, cumulative achievement index, parents' educational background, and organizational participation. From the results of the survival analysis, it was found that the factor that had a significant influence on the duration of student studies was the cumulative achievement index.

Abstract

Surface mining, including tin mining, is the most common mining practice in Indonesia. The existence of mining ore or minerals close to the surface soil is the reason for carrying out this mining method. The process of mining surface resulted in the change of land landscape, which may cause soil erosion and even flood. It has caused various ecological and environmental problems, including soil degradation. This study describes soil physio-chemical properties impacted by surface tin mining in Bangka, Indonesia. Soils were collected from three different land use in natural forest, agroforestry, and post tin mining area in Bangka Regency, Province of Bangka Belitung Island. Five-spot soils were sampled from each site. Each site had three replication of the sampling area. The plot size for each site is about 200-500 m2. Soil texture, pH, total N, available P, exchangeable K, organic carbon, C/N ratio, CEC, Al3+, and H+ were analyzed. The results showed that mining decreased organic carbon, total N, available P, exchangeable K, and CEC. Mining changed the soil texture to be dominated by quartz sand. These results indicate that mining significantly deleterious soil fertility, therefore, potential as a limiting factor for plant growth, which could be a hamper for restoration efforts of post tin mining areas. Abstract

Penelitian ini mengkaji permasalahan pembagian harta warisan bagi anak adopsi dalam masyarakat Karo yang hidup dalam situasi pluralisme hukum yaitu hukum adat, hukum perdata nasional, dan hukum Islam. Tujuannya adalah merumuskan model pembagian warisan yang adil dan mampu mengakomodasi nilai-nilai hukum serta norma sosial budaya setempat. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode hukum empiris melalui pendekatan yuridis sosiologis, dilaksanakan di Jl. Veteran No.37, Tambak Lau Mulgap I, Kecamatan Berastagi, Kabupaten Karo pada Mei 2025. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi lapangan, wawancara mendalam dengan narasumber kunci yaitu tokoh adat, ahli hukum, dan keluarga dengan pengalaman langsung terkait warisan anak angkat serta dokumentasi pendukung. Hasil penelitian menegaskan bahwa kedudukan anak angkat dalam pewarisan masih menghadapi ketegangan antar sistem hukum serta adanya ketidakjelasan hak waris khususnya bagi anak angkat perempuan. Oleh karena itu, model pembagian warisan Tutur Si Walin diusulkan sebagai solusi integratif yang menggabungkan pengakuan adat, legalitas formal, musyawarah keluarga, dan prinsip keadilan proporsional guna menjamin kepastian hukum, keadilan sosial, dan keharmonisan keluarga dalam masyarakat Karo.

Abstract

Tujuan Penelitian ini ialah untuk mengetahui keefektifan model pembelajaran sharing reading literacy terhadap kemampuan membaca teks negosiasi siswa kelas X SMA Negeri 15 Padang. Penelitian ini berjenis penelitian kuantitatif dengan metode eksperimen. Desain yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah one group pretest-posttest design. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas X SMA Negeri 15 Padang yang terdaftar tahun ajaran 2021/2022. Teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan adalah Purposive Sampling, maka yang menjadi sampel dalam penelitian ini yaitu siswa kelas X SMA N 15 Padang yang berjumlah 28 orang. Data dalam penelitian ini adalah skor kemampuan membaca teks negosiasi sebelum dan sesudah menggunakan model pembelajaran sharing reading literacy siswa kelas X SMA Negeri 15 Padang. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat tiga hal berikut ini. Pertama, tingkat kemampuan membaca teks negosiasi sebelum menggunakan model pembelajaran sharing reading literacy siswa kelas X SMA Negeri 15 Padang memperoleh nilai rata-rata 45,60 dengan klasifikasi 36-45% yaitu kurang (K). Kedua, kemampuan membaca teks negosiasi sesudah menggunakan model sharing reading literacy siswa kelas X SMA Negeri 15 Padang memperoleh nilai rata-rata 85, 36 dengan klasifikasi 76-85% yaitu baik (B). Ketiga, berdasarkan hasil uji-t di dapat hasil uji hipotesis yaitu t hitung > t tabel (14,33 > 1,70). Jadi, dapat disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan model pembelajaran sharing reading literacy efektif terhadap kemampuan membaca teks hikayat siswa kelas X SMA Negeri 15 Padang.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the Direct Instruction (DI) model assisted by PhET simulations in reducing students’ misconceptions about vibration and wave concepts at SMAN 1 Tanjungbalai. The research employed a quasi-experimental method with a pre-test and post-test control group design. The sample consisted of class XI-2 as the control group and class XI-3 as the experimental group, selected using a random sampling technique. The research instrument was a 15-item four-tier multiple-choice test that had been validated by experts. Data were analyzed using the inverse N-gain test to measure the reduction in misconceptions. The findings revealed that the average inverse N-gain score of the experimental class was 0.7 (high category), which was greater than that of the control class (0.6; medium category). This indicates that a more significant reduction in misconceptions occurred among students taught using the DI model assisted by PhET simulations. Therefore, it can be concluded that the Direct Instruction model integrated with PhET simulations is effective in reducing students’ misconceptions on vibration and wave topics in physics learning.

Abstract

Water pollution can be caused by an increase in the number of industries, one of which is the textile industry. One effort to reduce water pollution by heavy metals is by utilizing absorption by plants. This research aims to determine the concentration of metal pollutants Cr, Cu, Cd, and Pb accumulated by Vetiveria zizanioides plants. The test method in this research was wet digestion using a nitric acid solution (HNO3) which was then analyzed using an Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometer (AAS). Based on research results, the average metal absorption concentration of copper (Cu), chromium (Cr), Lead (Pb), and cadmium (Cd) after processing using the FTW system with the help of bacteria in processing the highest metal content is Pb 0.0007 (mg /Kg dry weight) and for Cu it is 0.0001 (mg/Kg dry weight) and Cd metal is 0.00002 (mg/Kg dry weight) and finally Cr is 0.000001 (mg/Kg dry weight). And for processing using the FTW system without the help of bacteria in processing, the average metal absorption concentration of Cu, Cr, Pb, and Cd, the highest metal content at Cu 0.0001 (mg/Kg dry weight) and Pb 0.0003 (mg/ Kg dry weight) for Cr and Cd were not detected. The absorption of Cu, Cr, Pb, and Cd metals did not affect plant growth.

Abstract

Naning Village has high agricultural potential due to the high rainfall and easy access to water sources. The easy air source and high rainfall cause many weeds to grow. One of the weeds that is often found is kiambang. The purpose of this community service is to socialize and practice the manufacture of compost fertilizer by utilizing weeds that grow in the surrounding area. Compost is made by utilizing kiambang and fermented using EM 4. This process is carried out in 2 stages, namely the stage of preparing raw materials such as kiambang, livestock manure and making EM4 starter and the composting stage, namely the raw materials are chopped about 2-3 cm. All the ingredients are mixed and placed in a closed and dark container so that the aerobic composting process occurs. The result of making this compost is the composting of the materials that have been mixed with parameters of changes in temperature, color, odor, and texture for several days left in a closed container. This change may be related to the drying process and chemical reactions. In addition, there are no rules indicating that the material is in good condition and not infected by insects. This community service was enthusiastically followed by farmer groups in Naning Village. The existence of this socialization and training is expected so that farmer groups can empower surrounding resources to support the agriculture carried out so that they can produce better products and reduce agricultural costs.

Abstract

AbstractThe purpose of this research is to describe how students solve exponential questions using reflective and impulsive cognitive styles, based on Kastolan theory. Descriptive qualitative method used in this study. The subjects of this study were SMA 2 PSAK Semarang students who had received Exponent material. The data collection methods used were tests, test-based interviews, and documentation, while the data analysis process consisted of data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The conclusion of this study is that reflexive students make fewer mistakes than reflective students. Student errors in solving math problems are influenced by internal and external factors. For reflective students, the internal factors are lack of understanding in the concept of completion and lack of accuracy in determining a value. While the external factors are students in a hurry because of the busyness of students in their school environment. Then for impulsive students, the internal factor is a lack of understanding in distinguishing questions between growth and decay in the form of story problems, lack of subject accuracy and lack of accuracy in reading story problems. While the external factor is the lack of concentration of students because of the crowds in the school environment.AbstrakTujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menggambarkan bagaimana siswa menyelesaikan soal-soal eksponen dengan gaya kognitif reflektif dan impulsif, berdasarkan teori Kastolan. Metode kualitatif deskriptif digunakan dalam penelitian ini. Subjek dari penelitian ini adalah siswa SMA Masehi 2 PSAK Semarang yang sudah mendapat materi Eksponen. Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah tes, wawancara berbasis tes, dan dokumentasi, sementara proses analisis data terdiri dari pengumpulan data, reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini yaitu, bahwa Siswa refleksif melakukan kesalahan lebih sedikit daripada siswa reflektif. Kesalahan siswa dalam menyelesaikan soal-soal matematika dipengaruhi faktor internal dan faktor eksternal. Untuk siswa reflektif, faktor internalnya yaitu kurangnya pemahaman dalam konsep penyelesaian dan kurangnya ketelitian dalam menentukan suatu nilai. Sedangkan faktor eksternalnya yaitu siswa terburu-buru karena kesibukan siswa di lingkungan sekolahnya. Lalu pada siswa impulsif, faktor internalnya yaitu kurangnya pemahaman dalam membedakan soal antara pertumbuhan dan peluruhan dalam bentuk soal cerita, kurangnya ketelitian subjek dan kurang cermat dalam membaca soal cerita. Sedangkan faktor eksternalnya yaitu kurangnya konsentrasi siswa karena keramaian dilingkungan sekolah.

Abstract

The assessment of quality of life serves as a critical evaluation of the effectiveness of the administered hemodialysis treatment. The measurement of quality of life can be conducted using the Kidney Disease Quality of Life Short Form (KDQoL-SF™) questionnaire. This research aims to gather information concerning the quality of life among patients with hemodialysis due to chronic kidney failure at the dr. S. Hardjolukito Regional Military Hospital in Yogyakarta. The research employed a cross-sectional design. The respondents consisted of 65 patients selected through purposive sampling based on specific inclusion and exclusion criteria. The Independent T-test, Mann-Whitney test, Chi-Square test and Fischer test were conducted to define the association between quality of life and respondent characteristics. Most of the hemodialysis patients was male (50.8%) with average od age was 54.66 years old. The findings revealed that 64.6% of the respondents experienced moderate/poor quality of life, while 35.4% exhibited good quality of life. Statistical analysis established a significant relationship between respondent characteristics and quality of life based on the variables of age and duration of hemodialysis (p<0.05). Hemoglobin levels, number of prescribed medications, gender, education, occupation and income demonstrated no significant relationship with the quality of life. Among the respondents’ characteristics, age and duration of hemodialysis were associated with the quality of life.
