Abstract

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the problems in Physics learning at SMAN 1 Punggur. This study is a qualitative research with a grounded theory design focusing on intrinsic and extrinsic factors that influence student understanding. The informants of the study were students and physics teachers at SMAN 1 Punggur. Intrinsic factors include motivation and interest in learning, students' initial abilities, conceptual difficulties, students' practical skills, understanding of abstract concepts, problem-solving skills, collaboration and communication skills. While extrinsic factors include teacher learning strategies, limited facilities and infrastructure, and use of technology in learning. Data collection techniques used in this study were student questionnaires and in-depth interviews with students and teachers. The results of the analysis showed that the problems of physics learning at SMAN 1 Punggur lie in intrinsic factors, namely low motivation and interest in learning, conceptual difficulties, and problem-solving skills.

Abstract

Gold mining boosts Indonesia's GDP and exports. However, gold mining changes soil chemical and biological qualities, and therefore harming the environment. Thus, rehabilitating post mining land using environmentally friendly and chap method are essential for soil and ecosystem health. Nitrogen (N), and phosphorus (P) are the most limiting factors in degraded mining area. Azotobacter sp. and Rhizobium sp. are well-known in assisting plant by providing N. Paraserianthes falcataria is well-known as a fast-growing tree species that have good symbiosis with Rhizobium sp. This study examines the chemical and biological effects of underground gold mining on soil and the ability of indigenous Azotobacter sp. and Rhizobium sp., to improve the soil of post gold mining under greenhouse condition. Soils were sampled from natural forest (NF), tailing (T), and 3 different ages of rehabilitated area: 1 year old, 2 year old, and 5 year old. According to this study, gold mining negatively effect on soil organic carbon and nitrogen levels. One Rhizobium sp. isolate and 12 Azotobacter spp. isolates were found in post mining soil. All Azotobacter spp. isolates fixed nitrogen by NFB test and produced IAA. All Azotobacter spp. was determined as gram negative bacteria. A greenhouse study found that Azotobacter sp. inoculation with 10% compost improved the soil quality by increasing soil organic carbon, soil N, soil available P, and exchangeable K. Therefore, this improvement on soil condition increased seedlings height, diameter, and biomass growing in gold tailings soil. These findings highlight the necessity of employing indigenous microorganisms and organic materials to improve soil quality and plant growth on former gold mining areas.

Abstract

Abstract

Classroom management is the skill of teachers as leaders and managers in creating a conducive classroom climate to achieve the success of teaching and learning activities in the classroom. Learning psychology is a discipline of psychology that contains psychological theories about learning, especially examining how individuals learn or carry out learning. In the teaching and learning process, classroom management and learning psychology as a way for the learning process to run conducively by doing this,: 1) teachers have the principles of classroom management learning activities (warm and enthusiastic, challenging, varied, flexible, emphasizing positive things, instilling self-discipline, attention, demonstration and concentration). 2) teachers have skills in classroom management, organizational skills, guiding and facilitating learning skills, skills in planning and implementing learning activities. 3) teachers are able to organize classrooms and creative and innovative teaching media. 4) teachers provide disciplinary guidance to students. 5) Development of communication by teachers and students in learning process activities. 6) teachers provide learning motivation to students.

Abstract

This research is aimed at understanding the lifestyle of users of national brand lipstick (Wardah) and international brand one (Revlon)using AIO variables that comprise of activity, interest, and opinion. Data was gathered from respectively 30 lipstick users of Wardah and 30 of Revlon who reside in Semarang using questionnaire. Description analysis was to describe the lifestyle of both samples and then was analyzed using an independent t test for two unrelated samples to know if they differ in their lifestyle. The results show that there are differences of lifestyle between two groups of the sample in which the Wardah users are more likely dominant in the variable of interest while the Revlon users are more likely dominant in the variable of activity and opinion. Segmentation and targeting strategy according to consumers'lifestyle are thus important for succeeding the company.
