Abstract

This article aims to examine the role of supporting characters in the novel Kafka on the Shore in shaping the identity of the main character, Kafka, which has not been actively discussed in previous studies. This article classifies some supporting characters into characters who were removed from the shaping of Kafka’s identity, along with the reasons why their roles had to be eliminated, and characters who contributed to Kafka’s growth process along with the roles they played. This article uses the concept of the Keirsey Temperament Sorter, developed by David Keirsey. Moreover, to explain the relationship between Kafka and his father, as well as the older woman he loves, Miss Saeki, this article uses concept from psychoanalytic theory, namely Oedipus Complex by Sigmund Freud and Object Relations by Melanie Klein. Character whose role was removed from Kafka’s identity shaping is Johnnie Walker, or Tamura, Kafka’s father. Characters who support Kafka’s identity shaping are Crow and Oshima as the Idealist, Nakata as the Guardian, Sakura as the Artisan, and Miss Saeki as the Rational. The removal of Johnnie Walker indicates the importance of compromise in facing the dilemma between Westernization and maintaining Japanese tradition. Westernization is inevitable to some extent. However, in describing his identity as a Japanese, novelist Haruki Murakami through Kafka shows his intention to look back into traditional Japanese beliefs rather than emphasizing Westernization as the primary concept

Abstract

In essence, tender rigging is one form of conspiracy prohibited by Law Number 5/1999 concerning the Prohibition of Monopolistic Practices and Unfair Business Competition and is also the case most often processed by the KPPU. However, both theoretically and practically, it raises problems, namely because of the biased interpretation of the phrase "other party" in Article 22 of Law Number 5/1999. This is the background to the judicial review of Article 22 to the Constitutional Court. In this paper, what is discussed is how tender rigging is regulated according to laws and regulations, what are the legal implications of the Constitutional Court Decision Number 85/PUU-XIV/2016 concerning the judicial review of Article 22 of Law Number 5/1999 and how the legal analysis of the legal considerations of the Constitutional Court Decision. This study uses normative legal research where the object of this research is laws and regulations and the Constitutional Court Decision. In this case, the Author concludes, namely, First, tender collusion which is a form of cooperation between two or more parties to control the relevant market and/or win tender participants resulting in unfair business competition is explicitly regulated in Article 1 number 8 and Article 22 of Law Number 5/1999 and KPPU Regulation Number 2/2010, Second, the legal implications of the Constitutional Court Decision Number 85/PUU-XIV/2016 are useful for ensuring legal certainty and justice for parties such as entrepreneurs, especially the community. For this reason, there needs to be harmonization between one regulation and another, testing of the Law against the Constitution related to the regulation of tender collusion in unfair business competition or revision of Law Number 5/1999.

Abstract

Corruption is a significant issue that hinders development in many countries, including Indonesia. Islamic religious education is believed to play a crucial role in shaping an anti-corruption character among the younger generation. This study aims to analyze how Islamic religious education can foster integrity and anti-corruption values by instilling moral values such as honesty (sidiq), trustworthiness (amanah), and justice (adil). The research method used in this study is library research, analyzing various recent literatures related to Islamic religious education and corruption prevention. The findings indicate that Islamic religious education has great potential in shaping an anti-corruption character by embedding these values. However, challenges faced in its implementation include the lack of understanding among educators regarding the importance of religion-based anti-corruption education and the influence of a social environment permissive towards corrupt practices. Therefore, collaboration between schools, families, and society is needed to create an environment that supports the application of Islamic values in everyday life, in order to form a generation that is both integral and free from corruption.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of multimedia-based teaching methods for Tajwid compared to traditional methods among university students. The research employed a quasi-experimental method with a pre-test and post-test design on 60 students from the Faculty of Islamic Studies at Universitas Islam Kebangsaan Indonesia (UNIKI). The sample was divided into two groups: a control group taught using traditional methods and an experimental group using multimedia-based methods. The results showed that the experimental group experienced an average score increase of 21.0 points, higher than the control group's 7.6 points (p-value < 0.05). Moreover, the multimedia method produced more consistent learning outcomes and higher student motivation due to its interactive learning elements. Challenges included limited devices, internet connectivity issues, and inadequate infrastructure. Thus, multimedia methods proved to be effective and innovative in improving Tajwid understanding, though they require adequate technological support.

Abstract

The purpose of this community service is to provide an understanding of the community on the impact of the use of social media in the current era of information disclosure. This is done so that people do not abuse the use of social media and are able to wisely utilize social media itself so as not to cause negative effects. Partners of community service activities are residents of Pringgokusuman, Gedongtengen, Yogyakarta. Education provided includes an understanding of the negative and positive impacts of using social media, the role of families, especially parents, in supervising the use of social media and the legal rules used to overcome problems arising from the use of social media. Many impacts arising from the use of social media. The negative impacts of using social media must be immediately prevented and acted upon because the negative impacts are spread very quickly and are detrimental to users and the community. In addition there are also positive impacts arising from the use of social media that can provide developments both in terms of social and material for the community.

Abstract

Drug abuse as an extraordinary crime is carried out by involving many countries and a very large network, including Indonesia and especially in the province of D.I. Yogyakarta, known as a student city. However, the predicate city of students cannot make the province of D.I. Yogyakarta free from the dangers of drugs, instead it is ranked as the first province in Indonesia with the most users. Thus the need for education and understanding provided to the community, especially in the Tegalrejo sub-district region, is expected to reduce the number of drug users. The educational activities carried out received enthusiasm from the residents of Tegalrejo, which was attended by many residents from various backgrounds, starting from community leaders, village officials and attended by local youth or youth. From legal education activities to the dangers of drugs, participants who participate in these activities can understand all kinds of forms and types of drugs, apart from that, they also get knowledge of the effects of the dangers of drugs and can find out the characteristics of users to be more aware of in social relations with others. The advice given is to collect suspicious migrant data and strengthen positive activities from village officials and youth organizations so that Tegalrejo sub-district is free from drug threats.

Abstract

Karang Taruna Unit Padukuhan Kalipucang telah membentuk Posyandu Remaja dengan nama Posyandu Remaja Abhisar Sahi sejak tahun 2019 namun belum efektif dijalankan bahkan pernah vakum pada masa pandemi Covid 19. Pembentukan Posyandu remaja pada awalnya dilatarbelakangi beberapa permasalahan remaja terutama angka pernikahan usia dini yang cukup tinggi semenjak tahun 2016 hingga sekarang, tingginya penyalahgunaan obat-obatan psikotropika di kalangan remaja, dan kesadaran para pemuda pemudi untuk mendapatkan alternatif layanan kesehatan dengan tujuan mencegah dan mendeteksi secara dini Penyakit Tidak Menular (PTM). Permasalahan yang dihadapi Karang Taruna Unit Padukuhan Kalipucang dianalisis oleh tim pengabdi dalam menjalankan Posyandu Remaja antara lain permasalahan pelayanan kesehatan yang belum memenuhi standar nasional, kualitas sumber daya manusia yang terbatas, dan kurangnya edukasi kesehatan serta fasilitasi konseling kesehatan. Metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini berupa penyuluhan, pendampingan dan diskusi kelompok terpumpun. Solusi dari pengefektifan Posyandu remaja melalui kalibrasi ulang alat kesehatan Posyandu Remaja berdasarkan standar alat kesehatan posyandu yang laik, perlunya fasilitas pelatihan kesehatan remaja dan bimbingan konseling kesehatan pada posyandu remaja, serta edukasi hak kesehatan remaja.

Abstract

This community service program aims to enhance the competitiveness of local MSME products in Iwul Village, Parung, Bogor, by applying digital technology and creative education. The main challenges faced by local entrepreneurs include the lack of effective digital marketing strategies and limited skills in creating visually appealing content. The implementing project conducted a series of training sessions and mentoring activities, including the use of social media, digital catalog creation, and visual content design using Canva. Additionally, creative educational activities were provided to elementary school students, and a hydroponic installation was developed to support the village's environmental aesthetics. The results showed an increase in digital marketing awareness among MSMEs and an improvement in technological skills. The creative education initiatives received positive feedback from both students and teachers. Overall, the program successfully contributed to the economic and social empowerment of Iwul Village.Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan daya saing produk UMKM Desa Iwul, Parung, Bogor melalui penerapan teknologi digital dan edukasi kreatif. Permasalahan utama yang dihadapi pelaku UMKM di desa tersebut adalah kurang optimalnya strategi pemasaran digital dan keterbatasan dalam pembuatan konten visual yang menarik. Tim pelaksana melakukan serangkaian pelatihan dan pendampingan, mulai dari penggunaan media sosial, pembuatan katalog digital, hingga pelatihan desain konten visual menggunakan Canva. Selain itu, dilakukan kegiatan edukatif berbasis kreativitas kepada siswa SD dan pembuatan instalasi hidroponik untuk mendukung estetika lingkungan desa. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan pemahaman pelaku UMKM terhadap pemasaran digital dan meningkatnya keterampilan masyarakat dalam menggunakan teknologi informasi. Program edukasi kreativitas juga mendapat respons positif dari siswa dan guru. Secara keseluruhan, kegiatan ini berhasil memberikan kontribusi nyata terhadap pemberdayaan ekonomi dan sosial masyarakat Desa Iwul.

Abstract

Artikel ini membahasa tentang peranan serikat pekerja/serikat buruh dalam membuat perjanjian kerja bersama. Tema ini dipilih dikarenakan dilatarbelakangin banyaknya pengusaha yang menerapkan perjanjian kerja bersama. Hal ini berdampak baik bagi buruh dalam meningkatkan kesejahtaan dan terpenuhinya tuntutan buruh yang dipinta.Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian  kuantitatif dan survei dengan pendekatan soiologi. Lokasi penelitian dilakukan di Kabupaten Asahan. Sumberdata diperoleh melalui wawancara. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa peranan Serikat Pekerja Seluruh Indonesia di Kabupaten Asahan dapat membantu buruh dalam memenuntuk hak-hak merka melaluin perjanjian kerja bersama antara pengusaha dan pekerja/buruh. Adapun hambatan yang dihadapi ialah terdapatnya perbedaan pendapat antara satu pihak dan pihak lain, keterbatasan dana, dan kebijakan kantor pusat. Adapun upaya yang dilakukan ialah menyesuaikan setiap pendapat, koordinasis, pembinaan, dan menempuh langkah-langkah penyelesaian sesuai Undang-undang
