Abstract

This study attempts to investigate the positive and the negative impact of negative reinforcement on fifth-grade students’ science learning process. This study was carried out in elementary school 177 Pekanbaru. The kind of research is a qualitative study, and data were collected using video recording, observation, the questionnaire, and interview. Ten learning and teaching activities were conducted in two classrooms, 5 times in VA and 5 times in VB. The results show that the positive impact of negative reinforcement is toincreased students’ motivation to study science. While the negative impact of negative reinforcement is, to have students’ ton fear or vexation dislike to their teacher. The students feel discomfort because the teacher often punished students whenever they made mistakes.

Abstract

The research aims to determine the discipline of students through scouting. This type of research is quantitative research with a correlational approach. The population used in this study were 81 Scouting students. Sampling using a saturated sampling technique. The instruments used in this study were scouting questionnaires. Data were analyzed using statistical analysis techniques, namely using the correlation test, significance test and test coefficient of determination. Based on the results of data processing it can be seen that student discipline is in a fairly good category with a percentage of 66.67% and scouting is in a fairly good category with a percentage of 66.67%. Based on the results of testing the hypothesis it is known that the discipline of students through scouting is 0.398. Based on the results of significant tests obtained t-test value of 3.853. Then based on the test results of the determinant coefficient there is the influence of the contribution among variables at 15.8%. This means that there is a scouting contribution of 15.8% towards student discipline, while 84.2% is influenced by other factors not examined in this study.

Abstract

The research is aimed to identify and describe the ability of fifth grade students in solving problems of disaster mitigation. This study was implemented in a public elementary school in Kampar, Riau, Indonesia in 2019. The type of research was qualitative research. The subject of this study was 42 fifth grade students. Instruments were arranged to refer to problem-solving indicators. After the instruments were validated by experts and tested by students, it was then used to retrieve data. The data is categorized and grouped according to the device already created. Based on the results of the study it showed that the students ' ability has been in an excellent category in carrying out problems and examining problems, while their ability was a poor category in planning, implementing, and evaluating the solutions that have been made.

Abstract

This study aims to identify and describe the mathematical literacy skills of fifth grade elementary school students. This study was conducted in one of the primary school in Pekanbaru from January to March 2020. The type of research used was a case study. The subject of this research was 37 fifth grade elementary school students. The instrument was arranged referring to the questions issued by PISA. After the instrument were validated by two experts and tested on students, the next step was used to retrieve data. The data collected is then grouped and categorized according to the device that has been created. The results of the data processing showed that most of the subjects had not been able to answer the questions at level 4 or above, while for the answered level it was broken down as follows; the mathematical literacy achievement of fifth grade elementary school students that reached level 1 were 38%, in level 2 there were 54%, and in level 3 there were 8%. From these data results, it appears that in general the fifth-grade elementary school students have a very low level in mathematical literacy skills, meaning that the learning technique they have gained so far has not been able to build mathematical literacy skills.

Abstract

This research aims to explore the prospective teachers activities to enhance teachers’ teaching skills utilized inquiry by perform reflective collaborative activities between teachers, coaches and prospective teachers. Activities reflection helps prospective teachers make improvements in the implementation of tasks so that for further learning meetings prospective teachers can improve teaching skills. Improved teaching ability to give impact on teacher activities and students who experience improvement at each meeting so that it has an influence on student learning outcomes. In understanding the concept of students' average heat energy increased from the average base score of 64.91 to 76.22. In understanding the concept of average student sound energy from the basic score to 81.72. The increase of learning result can be seen from the average of N-Gain on the understanding of the concept of heat energy of 0.32 medium categories and on the understanding of energy concept of 0.47 medium categories. This study concluded that the application of inquiry learning model can improve science learning outcomes based on reflection by prospective teachers.

Abstract

Pembelajaran sains merupakan mata pelajaran yang mempelajari berbagai fenomena alam dan sosial dengan menggunakan metode ilmiah. Sains juga dikenal sebagai Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam (IPA), yang dimana pembelajaran sains ini guna melatih kemampuan anak untuk mengenal berbagai gejala benda dan gejala peristiwa yang ada dikehidupan sehari-hari. Penelitian ini bertujuan dalam penguatan konsep ekosistem sains siswa dalam pengembangkan kotak pintar. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode dan pengembangan dengan metode 4-D, yang dimana proses pengembangan terdiri dari Tahap pendefinisian (define), Tahap perancangan (desaign), Tahap pengembangan (development), dan Terakhir tahap penyebaran (dissemination). Berdasarkan hasil uji coba media kotak pintar yang diperoleh dari hasil Validasi Ahli Media yaitu memperoleh 87,49%, dan Validasi Ahli Materi dan Bahasa memperoleh 90,62% yang menyatakan bahwa media kotak pintar valid di uji coba pada siswa kelas V sekolah dasar. Serta hasil uji coba media kotak pintar pada Respon Guru yang mendapatkan perolehan 92,83%, juga uji coba terhadap siswa dengan menggunakan uji coba satu satu memperoleh 90,1% dan uji coba terbatas memperoleh 89,83%. Sehingga mendapatkan hasil bahwa pengembangan media kotak pintar mendapatkan hasil yaitu Layak digunakan pada materi ekosistem “hubungan antarmakhluk hidup dalam ekosistem”, hal ini dibuktikan oleh Ahli media, Ahli materi dan bahasa, serta hasil uji coba disekolah. Science learning is a subject that explores various natural and social phenomena using the scientific method. Science is also known as Natural Sciences (IPA), and this learning aims to train children's abilities to recognize various object-related and event-related phenomena encountered in daily life. This research aims to strengthen students' understanding of ecosystem concepts in science through the development of a smart box. The research employs the 4-D development model, which includes four stages: the Define stage, the Design stage, the Development stage, and finally, the Dissemination stage. Based on the smart box media trial results, the Media Expert Validation yielded a score of 87.49%, while the Material and Language Expert Validation obtained 90.62%, indicating that the smart box media is valid for testing with fifth-grade elementary school students. Furthermore, teacher responses to the smart box media showed a score of 92.83%, while one-on-one student trials resulted in 90.1%, and limited trials scored 89.83%. As a result, it can be concluded that the development of the smart box media is suitable for use in teaching the ecosystem topic: "interrelationships between living organisms in an ecosystem." This conclusion is supported by validations from media experts, material and language experts, and the results of school-based trials.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi kendala yang dihadapi dan juga strategi yang diterapkan dalam upaya peningkatan mutu pembelajaran melalui pelaksanaan supervisi di Sekolah Menengah Pertama (SMP). Riset ini menggali pengalaman kepala sekolah, guru, serta pengawas dalam proses supervisi pembelajaran dengan pendeakatan kualitatif studi kasus. Keterbatasaan pada sumber daya pendukung, resistensi terhadap supervisi dan keterbatasan pada waktu merupakan kendala utama. Sekolah menerapkan strategi kolaboratif untuk mengatasai hal tersebut, termasuk supervisi klinis dan pelatihan berkelanjutan, serta penggunaan teknologi demi mendukung proses supervisi. Hasil dari penelitian memberikan gambaran penting bagaimana supervisi dapat menjadi sebuah alat efektif dalam meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran jika di dukung oleh komunikasi yang baik beserta komitmen seluruh pemangku kepentingan. Implikasi dari penelitian ini diharapkan dapat menjadi referensi bagi para pengelola sekolah saat merancang suatu program supervisi yang adaptif serta juga berkelanjutan.

Abstract

Supervisi akademik berbasis refleksi dan coaching menjadi pendekatan inovatif untuk meningkatkan kompetensi guru di era Kurikulum Merdeka. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis pengaruhnya terhadap kompetensi pedagogik, profesional, sosial, dan kepribadian guru di MTsN 3 Siak. Kualitatif dengan desain studi kasus ini melibatkan 1 kepala madrasah dan 8 guru (diverse mata pelajaran, pengalaman mengajar 5–12 tahun). Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara mendalam, observasi partisipatif, dan analisis dokumen, lalu dianalisis dengan coding tematik (Miles & Huberman, 2014). Supervisi reflektif dan coaching meningkatkan kompetensi pedagogik 80% guru dalam merancang pembelajaran berbasis teknologi dan student-centered. 75% guru melaporkan peningkatan kompetensi profesional dalam penguasaan materi, sementara 90% merasa lebih kolaboratif dengan rekan sejawat. Hambatan utama adalah beban administratif (dialami 60% partisipan) dan keterbatasan waktu kepala madrasah. Pendekatan ini efektif sebagai model pengembangan guru, terutama jika didukung pelatihan intensif untuk supervisor dan reduksi beban administratif. Temuan memperkuat teori Kolb (2017) tentang pembelajaran eksperiensial dalam konteks madrasah.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze the quality of education and the role of supervision in country SD as new 147 if viewed in qualitative terms the main focus is on how a supervision of education influences the improvement of learning, teacher professionalism, and the attainment of national standards of education. The approach to case studies is used in this study asa method to understand the problem, data is collected through interviews, observation, and documentation. Research indicates that effective supervision plays a significant role in the improvement of education, to improve the quality of learning and professional teachers in country SD as new 147, especially in learning planning, the implementation of the curriculum, and the assessments of learning. It also refers to the evaluation process in improving the quality of education, such as education services, learning, resources and results.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the impact of limited access to education on the sustainability of social relevance of the community in Cibaliung Village, Balai Jaya District, Rokan Hilir Regency, Riau. The methods used are field observation, interviews with residents, and analysis of relevant documentation. The results show that limited educational facilities, infrastructure conditions, and low community economy greatly affect children's participation in formal education. This has implications for low social mobility and inequality of access to information and skills in the community. Community involvement and government support are key to increasing the relevance of education in the village.
