Abstract

Inflation is an important economic indicator, the growth rate is always kept low and stable. One step to deal with the possibility of a high inflation rate is to know the picture of the inflation rate in the future by making predictions. Prediction is a method used to determine a value or need in the next period. Support Vector Regression (SVR) is a development of the Support Vector Machine (SVM) method which is used for regression cases which can handle non-linear data cases. The problem that often occurs when using the SVR method is determining optimal model parameters. One way to determine the best parameters for the SVR method is to use Grid Search Optimization. The stages of the SVR method include data normalization, dividing training data and testing data, using the Radial Basis Function kernel, selecting the best parameters using Grid Search Optimization, and making predictions using the best model obtained with parameters γ = 10, ∁ = 100, and ε. = 0.1 with k = 5. The prediction results obtained were then evaluated by looking at the RMSE value, the RMSE value obtained was 0.029, which means the model's ability to follow the data pattern well and the prediction results made were very good.

Abstract

Processed snacks are served in many places, in various types, and are very popular with various groups, including children under five. The snacks in question are traditional and manufactured drinks and processed foods. This service activity was carried out to increase the knowledge and skills of family mothers in choosing and processing healthy snacks for family members, including toddlers, in Tablolong Village, West Kupang District, Kupang Regency, on July 29, 2023, with 50 family mothers participating using the "Education and counseling and simulation.” Before the extension activities are carried out, pre and post-test evaluations will be carried out to measure the abilities and changes in attitudes and actions of the mothers participating in the training regarding the extension material. The pre-test results found that most (62.7%) of family mothers did not understand well healthy snacks (snacks) regarding the type, quantity, and correct method of processing food. However, after confirmation from the results of counseling and food processing simulations, it is known that 100% of family mothers already understand and can choose types of food, prepare simple but nutritious menus with processing methods that are friendly to the availability of sufficient and appropriate nutritional content that is needed and can ensure that the amount of food consumed is according to the needs per day per age per gender of family members.

Abstract

Violence against children is a serious problem that can interfere with children's physical, mental, and emotional development. In Sebangau Village, violence against children is still an issue that needs to be addressed comprehensively. This journal aims to explore counseling on violence against children in the region, by highlighting statistical data, case examples, and efforts that have been made to increase public awareness. Through this analysis, it is hoped that more effective strategies can be found in dealing with and preventing violence against children in Sebangau Village. Violence against children does not only have an impact on individuals, but also on society as a whole. When children experience violence, they are at risk of various mental health problems, such as depression, anxiety, and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). In addition, children who are victims of violence tend to have difficulties in social interaction and learning, which can ultimately affect their future. In Sebangau Village, statistical data shows that the level of violence against children is still quite high. According to a report from the Women and Child Protection Office, there has been an increase in cases of violence against children in recent years. This shows that there is an urgent need to increase efforts to prevent and handle violence against children in the region. Overall, handling violence against children in Sebangau Village requires a holistic approach and involves all elements of society. By raising awareness, providing education, and building support networks, it is hoped that violence against children can be minimized and children can grow up in a safe and supportive environment. Through joint efforts, we can create a better future for future generations

Abstract

Stunting is an unresolved problem to date. In fact, there are still many areas in Indonesia that have quite high stunting rates in toddlers, one of which is in Karanganyar Regency. This study aims to determine the study of the role of the family in handling stunting in toddlers. In answering the research objectives, a phenomenological approach was used which is included in one of the qualitative methods. The sampling technique was carried out purposively, namely in Gebyog Village, Mojogedang District. The sample size in the study was 10 parents who had stunted children in Gebyog Village, Mojogedang District. Qualitative analysis of the research results was also presented using the collaizi method by conducting interviews and making field notes with word-for-word transcripts. Based on the results of the study, it can be seen that the role of parents is mostly at a sufficient level. The results of the study also stated that the nutritional status of most children is at a low level. This is due to the limited economic status of the parents' household so that nutritional intake cannot be met optimally. The results of the study also stated that 4 aspects were identified that were suspected of having an influence, namely perspective and experience, psychological response, parental expectations and moral and material support. Parents' experience in preventing stunting, namely the desire and motivation for stunting to occur. Parents are expected to try to access information related to stunting prevention and apply it in everyday life.

Abstract

Stunting is a chronic malnutrition problem caused by inadequate nutritional intake over a prolonged period due to improper feeding practices that do not meet nutritional needs. The percentage of stunted children at the Tarus Health Center has increased every year from 2019 to 2022. This study aims to determine the socioeconomic factors associated with stunting among children under five in the working area of Tarus Health Center, Kupang Regency. This type of research is an analytical survey with a case-control study design. The sample consisted of 36 cases and 36 controls, selected using probability sampling techniques. Data collection was carried out through observation and structured interviews using questionnaires. Data analysis included univariate and bivariate analysis using the chi-square test. The results showed that the factors associated with stunting were family income (p-value = 0.023) and history of infectious diseases (p-value = 0.001), while factors not associated were maternal education (p-value = 0.617) and maternal occupation (p-value = 0.629). Based on these findings, it is expected that health workers provide education on proper dietary practices by utilizing local resources, and the government should also create adequate job opportunities so that human resources can improve, thereby reducing stunting rates in families.

Abstract

This study examines the challenges and strategies of teaching Arabic in Raudhatul Athfal Harapan Bunda, an Islamic early childhood education institution in Indonesia. Despite Arabic’s religious significance, young learners face difficulties due to its complex script, limited exposure, and reliance on traditional methods like rote memorization. Additionally, systemic barriers-such as teachers’ low Arabic proficiency (70% lack formal training), scarce interactive resources (65% of schools lack multimedia tools), and minimal parental involvement (only 40% support home practice)—hinder effective instruction. The research aims to: 1) analyze current Arabic teaching strategies, 2) evaluate their alignment with child-centered pedagogies, and 3) propose evidence-based improvements. Using a qualitative case study design, data were collected through classroom observations, teacher interviews, and document analysis. Findings reveal that multisensory methods (e.g., vocabulary songs, TPR for body parts) and interactive media (e.g., flashcards, apps) enhance engagement, corroborating theories like play-based learning, and multimedia learning. However, teacher training gaps and resource shortages limit efficacy. The study concludes by advocating for phonetics-focused teacher workshops, low-cost digital tools, and parental engagement programs to optimize Arabic acquisition.
