Abstract

Kepala sekolah merupakan salah satu komponen pendidikan yang berpengaruh dalam meningkatkan kinerja guru. keberhasilan pendidikan sekolah sangat ditentukan oleh keberhasilan kepala sekolah dalam mengelola tenaga kependidikan yang tersedia di sekolah. Penelitian ini secara umum bertujuan untuk mengetahui kepemimpinan kepala sekolah dalam meningkatkan kinerja guru di SMPN 2 Banjarnegara. Pendekatan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah pendekatan kualitatif, teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi, wawancara, dan studi dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian diperoleh bahwa kepemimpinan kepala sekolah dan motivasi kerja memiliki pengaruh yang positif dan signifikan terhadap kinerja guru, baik secara parsial maupun simultan. Hal ini terbukti dari kurikulum, kesiswaan, sarana prasarana dan prestasi belajar siswa yang berjalan dengan baik dan sesuai standar kinerja guru. Tanggapan atau respon guru terhadap pendekatan kepemimpinan yang dilakukan kepala sekolah cukup baik. Oleh karena itu, kinerja guru dapat ditingkatkan melalui peningkatan peran kepemimpinan kepala sekolah dan motivasi kerja. Top of Form

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the influence of the family environment on the formation of student character. In an increasingly complex global era, education is one of the important aspects that influences the formation of students' character. The family environment, which includes the values, norms and behavior adopted by family members, has an important role in forming students' character. This research uses qualitative research methods to understand the phenomenon from the perspective of the subject, namely students and their family environment. The research results show that the family environment has a significant role in shaping student character. Students who grow up in an environment that adheres to positive values ​​tend to have positive and useful characters. This research confirms the importance of the family environment in forming student character and shows that educational strategies that pay attention to the family environment and the values ​​held by the family can help improve learning outcomes and student character.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the impact of technology integration in learning on the academic achievement of students in higher education. Through a literature review, we investigate the relationship between the use of technology such as e-learning platforms, augmented reality, and virtual reality with student engagement and academic achievement. Findings from this research highlight the importance of adequate technological infrastructure, teacher training, relevant curriculum design, institutional support, and technology accessibility to enhance the effectiveness of technology use in learning. The implications of this study provide insights for education practitioners and policymakers to maximize the benefits of technology in improving student academic achievement in higher education.

Abstract

The Flipped Classroom model has become an intriguing topic in the context of mathematics education at the tertiary level. This literature review article aims to analyze the success of implementing the Flipped Classroom model in mathematics education at the tertiary level by exploring influencing factors. In-depth literature review was conducted to identify patterns and trends in evaluating the success of this model, including challenges faced and recommendations for further development. The results indicate that technological readiness, teacher involvement, student engagement, institutional support, and continuous evaluation are key factors in the success of implementing the Flipped Classroom model. This article provides valuable insights for educators and researchers in designing and implementing effective teaching models in tertiary education.

Abstract

This study aims to analyse the successful implementation of project-based learning model in mathematics learning at university level. Literature studies and field observations were conducted to evaluate the implementation of project-based learning models in several higher education institutions. The results showed that the implementation of project-based learning model in mathematics learning in higher education has positive impacts, among others: 1) increasing students‘ active involvement and motivation in the learning process, 2) developing mathematical competence, critical thinking skills, and other 21st century skills, 3) encouraging meaningful and contextualised learning, and 4) improving students’ collaboration and communication skills. However, there are some challenges in its implementation, such as: lecturer readiness, resource availability, and curriculum adjustment. The implication of the results of this study is the need for innovative mathematics curriculum development, increased lecturer competence, and adequate institutional support to optimise the implementation of project-based learning in higher education. This study provides valuable insights for mathematics education practitioners in designing and implementing student-centred learning oriented towards the development of 21st century competencies.

Abstract

This research aims to analyse the successful implementation of the discovery learning model in mathematics learning at the tertiary level. Abstract

Project-based learning (PjBL) is one of the student-centred learning models that can be effectively applied in mathematics learning in higher education. This study aims to analyse the implementation of PjBL in mathematics learning in higher education. The research method used is a literature study by collecting and reviewing research articles related to the implementation of PJBL in mathematics learning in higher education. The results showed that the implementation of PjBL in mathematics learning in higher education can improve students' concept understanding, problem solving ability, creativity, and learning motivation. PjBL encourages students to be actively involved in the learning process through project activities that are relevant to real life. Lecturers act as facilitators who guide students in planning, implementing and evaluating projects. Challenges in implementing PjBL include the availability of learning resources, time allocation, and project assessment. The implication of this study is the need for training for lecturers in designing and implementing PjBL effectively to achieve mathematics learning objectives in higher education.

Abstract

The integration of learning technology in education has transformed traditional teaching and learning practices, significantly influencing cognitive development and student creativity in the digital age. This study investigates the impact of learning technology on these two critical educational outcomes using a quantitative approach. Data were collected from 80 secondary school students through a structured questionnaire based on a Likert scale (1-5) and analyzed using SPSS version 26. The findings reveal a significant positive effect of learning technology on both cognitive development and creativity, with regression models explaining 46% and 52% of the variance, respectively. These results highlight the transformative role of digital tools in enhancing critical thinking, problem-solving, and creative expression among students. The study provides empirical evidence to guide educators and policymakers in designing effective strategies for technology integration in education.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan peningkatkan minat kaum muda terhadap pertanian yang akhir akhir ini menjadi salah satu ancaman bagi perkembangan pertanian. Jika hal ini terus dibiarkan tanpa solusi akan menyebabkan menurunan pembangunan pertanian. Salah satu solusi yang dapat dilakukan adalah dengan memberikan edukasi tentang Pembudidayaan tanaman pertanian dari mulai sedini mungkin dimulai dari para siswa Sekolah Dasar yang dikemas semenarik mungkin dengan pertanian vertikultur. Kegitan pengabdian ini dilaksanakan di SMP Swasta RK Deli Murni Sibolangit. Metode yang digunakan untuk mengedukasi para siswa SMP adalah dengan pembuatan pertanian vertikultur menggunakan pot - pot yang memanjang ke atas dan dengan menggunakan rak yang disusun bertingkat. Dan diedukasikan tanaman yang ditanam adalah tanaman-tanaman sayuran. Pengabdian ini dilaksanakan oleh dosen berkolaborasi dengan mahasiswa dan sekolah mitra. Pelaksanaan Pengabdian ini bersesuaian dengan beberapa mata kuliah yang tercantum dalam kurikulum dan diaplikasikan kedalam kegiatan pengabdian terhadap masyarakat. Dari hasil pengabdian yang dilaksanakan terlihat antusias siswa - siswi SMP Swasta RK Deli Murni sibolangit sangat tinggi

Abstract

Pengabdian Masyarakat ini dilakukan di pesisir Daerah Kampung Nipah Desa Sei Nagalawan Kecamatan Perbaungan Kabupaten Serdang Bedagai. Problema yang dihadapi di Pantai Desa Sei Nagalawan Kabupaten Serdang Bedagai Provinsi Sumatera Utara adalah ancaman semakin menjoroknya bibir pantai ke daratan, akibat gerusan air laut, akibat deburan ombak. Situasi ini menimbulkan prakiraan bahwa semakin tahun pinggiran pantai terancam secara perlahan - lahan akan terkikis dan menyebabkan turunnya kualitas lingkungan hidup. Tujuan pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah untuk melakukan konservasi mangrove yang bernilai edukasi sebagai hutan pendidikan maka langkah pengelolaan yang dilaksanakan adalah memberikan pengetahuan, pemahaman dan wawasan untuk meningkatkan pemanfaatan kawasan mangrove dan pesisir sebagai media dan sumber belajar dalam kegiatan pembelajarn di sekolah.Dalam kegiatan ini meliputi seluruh kawasan ekosistem hutan mangrove, dan seluruh masyarakat yang bertempat tinggal di sekitar kawasan ekosistem hutan mangrove di Kampung Nipah Desa Sei Nagalawan, Kecamatan Perbaungan, Kabupaten Serdang Bedagai dan tehnik pengabdian masyarakat ini meliputi tehnik wawancara dan obervasi langsung ke lapangan untuk menentukan situasi permasalahan mitra dan upaya konservasi ekosistem mangrove yang diperoleh dari hasil observasi di daerah pengabdian masyarakat.Pelaksanaan kegiatan pengandian ini dengan Penanaman Mangrove di Pantai Kampung Nipah Desa Sei Nagalawan, Kabupaten Serdang Bedagai diikuti oleh dosen dan mahasiswa/i Program Studi Pendidikan Biologi Universitas Simalungun. Pelaksanaannya dilaksanakan selama 1 (satu) hari, dengan fokus kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat di Pantai mangrove Kampoeng Nipah Desa Sei Nagalawan adalah menambah jumlah pohon mangrove di lahan konservasi pesisir Pantai. Hasil dari pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah memberikan sosialisasi pentingnya menanam, menjaga dan merawat mangrove di pesisir pantai untuk mencegah abrasi pantai. Selain itu juga disampaikan kondisi mangrove saat ini dan peranan mangrove dalam mencegah abrasi pantai dan potensi mangrove untuk peningkatan ekonomi masyarakat. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat Prodi Pendidikan Biologi Universitas Simalungun dilakukan dengan menanam bibit mangrove sebanyak 50 bibit, yang dilakukan oleh Dosen dan Mahasiswa Program Studi Pendidikan Biologi Universitas Simalungun setelah pemberian materi sosialisasi
