Abstract

Digital transformation in Islamic education requires school principals to exercise instructional leadership that combines technological skills with Qur'anic values. To clarify the research context, this study was conducted at Salman Al-Farisy Integrated Islamic Elementary School (SDIT) as an institution that has comprehensively implemented educational digitalization. This study aims to analyze the principal's digital instructional leadership strategies in strengthening the quality of Islamic education in elementary schools. Islam-based terms such as pedagogical tazkiyah and Qur'anic values in this study are operationalized as a process of internalizing digital ethics and manners that are systematically integrated into digital learning. Using a qualitative approach with a case study design, data were collected through in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and documentation, then analyzed using Miles and Huberman's interactive model. To clarify the triangulation process, this study compared data from principal interviews, digital classroom observation notes, and platform-based instructional supervision documents. The results of the study show three main strategies: (1) strengthening teacher competence through Islamic value-based digital literacy; (2) optimizing learning technology that integrates Qur'anic content and evidence-based digital instructional supervision; and (3) strengthening digital collaboration between teachers, students, and parents through school communication platforms. These findings expand the theories of Islamic Pedagogical Leadership and Professional Digital Competence by introducing the concept of spiritual digital instructional leadership, which is leadership that places technology as a means of internalizing values and pedagogical tazkiyah. This study confirms that the success of the digitization of Islamic education depends on the principal's ability to create a harmonious integration between technology, pedagogy, and spirituality. As an implication, this study offers recommendations for Islamic schools to develop religious digital literacy and a digital evidence-based instructional supervision system.

Abstract

National Education develops skills and forms good national character and civilization in the context of shaping the life of the nation, and seeks to develop opportunities for students to become human beings who believe in and fear God Almighty, have noble character, are healthy, capable, creative and independent and become democratic and responsible citizens regulated by the Law of the Republic of Indonesia No: 20 of 2003 concerning the national education system. To get students with good grades, it is necessary to form a child's personality or character in accordance with social values, starting from the family environment. The problem is, character education requires habituation, what are the strategies for instilling social values, what are the strategies for getting used to them, and what are the supporting and inhibiting factors in the implementation of students' character building strategies. The research approach used in this research is qualitative. Because in this study, researchers examined the activities of several community groups related to behavior change. The results of the study show that as a driving school for Al-Fajar Islamic High School, Bekasi City, it is very conducive to the success of students in both character building and knowledge, which is highly supported by the entire academic community, the students themselves and their parents. learners, and a collaborative environment are important aspects of support. Very effective in applying habituation, forming character with good morals.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the moral problems of adolescents in the era of globalization. So the role of parents, teachers, as role models for children/students in strengthening morals is very important. The aim of the research was to find out the implementation of the exemplary method in strengthening students' moral values. This research uses a qualitative method with a descriptive type. Research data collection methods used are interviews, observation, and documentation. So the results are 1) How is the implementation of the exemplary method in improving the moral character of students a) the application of discipline to existing programs in schools; b) set a good example for students; c) give attention to students. 2) Supporting factors (a) various activities between teachers and students; (b) coordination with other teachers; (c) giving advice to students. 3) Inhibiting factors (a) internal factors, namely students doing things that are not disciplined and do not obey the rules; (b) external factors, namely the influence of the surrounding environment which is not good (c) the various characteristics and characteristics of students. (4) The solution is (a) follow the rules stated in the school; (b) teachers work together with parents, so that students are kept under surveillance from an environment that influences bad morals; (c) teachers and parents work together in instilling good morals or akhlakul karimah

Abstract

In the rapid flow of modernization and digitalization, humans often lose their spiritual direction. This is where the concept of the Perfect Man, the perfect human, in Sufism, becomes relevant again as a model of spiritual and moral perfection. This study aims to explore the philosophical and spiritual meaning of the Perfect Man as explained by classical Sufis, such as Ibn ‘Arabi and Abdul Karim al-Jili, and highlight its relevance for character development in contemporary Islamic education. The study employed a library research approach, examining Sufi works and current academic research. The analysis shows that, according to Ibn ‘Arabi, the Perfect Man is “a mirror in which God sees Himself” (Wiwaha, 2024) and serves as a link between God and His creation. Meanwhile, al-Jili views the Perfect Man as a human capable of “realizing the divine essence within oneself through knowledge and purification of the soul” (Iqbal & Munawaroh, 2023). In a modern context, this concept is not merely mystical but can be applied as a foundation for developing Islamic morals that balance the spiritual and social dimensions. This research confirms that Insan Kamil is a paradigm of Islamic education that guides humans to achieve moral perfection and closeness to God. Integrating Sufism values into the Islamic Religious Education curriculum can be a strategy for developing individuals with Islamic character who are resilient in facing the challenges of the times.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pemanfaatan media sosial sebagai instrumen pendidikan moderasi beragama pada generasi muda, mengingat peran media sosial sangat vital kendati menjadi gaya hidup anak muda dari berbagai lintas generasi. Adapun metode yang digunakan yaitu metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus. Sumber data melalui wawancara Kepala seksi bimas Islam Kemenag Kab. Subang /Dewan penasehat Forum kerukunan umat beragama (FKUB) Kab. Subang, Redaktur Media Pasundan Ekspres, Founder dari Subang Info, dan Pengurus Lembaga Pers Mahasiswa Islam (LAPMI) HMI Cabang Subang. Sementara teknik analisis dengan cara mengumpulkan data, mereduksi data yang sudah didapat, menyajikan data yang sudah direduksi dan memverifikasi data.Temuan yang didapatkan dalam penelitian ini yaitu maraknya kasus informasi hoax dan intoleransi yang berpotensi konflik pada kalangan masyarakat, terutama generasi muda yang menggunakan media sosial. Informasi hoax tersebut cepat menyebar ke berbagai platform media sosial. Pemanfaatan media sosial dalam membendung informasi hoax secara berkala sangat efektif dalam melawan hoax.

Abstract

Program Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (PKM) bertujuan meningkatkan pengetahuan ekologis dan mendorong praktik ramah lingkungan di Pondok Pesantren Hadza Min Fadhli Robby, Karawang. Urgensi program berangkat dari temuan awal berupa rendahnya kesadaran ekologis santri, belum terintegrasinya isu lingkungan dalam pembelajaran, serta ketiadaan kebijakan dan sistem pengelolaan sampah yang terstruktur. PKM menggunakan dua pendekatan utama: ceramah fiqh lingkungan untuk memberikan landasan normatif-teologis tentang tanggung jawab menjaga alam dalam perspektif Islam, serta metode Coaching untuk membentuk dan menguatkan komunitas santri pecinta lingkungan PEPELING. Analisis dilakukan dengan kerangka context–input–process–output–outcome (CIPOO). Hasil menunjukkan bahwa pada level konteks dan input, dukungan pengelola, kesiapan sarana minimal, serta keterlibatan dosen–mahasiswa menjadi modal penting intervensi. Pada tataran proses, santri menunjukkan antusiasme dalam dua kajian fiqh lingkungan, tiga sesi pelatihan, dan serangkaian aksi nyata seperti pemilahan sampah, “Jumat Hijau”, “Bank Sampah Mini”, dan penghijauan. Output utama adalah terbentuknya komunitas PEPELING yang aktif, media edukatif visual, serta lahirnya kebijakan internal terkait kebersihan dan penggunaan air. Outcome menunjukkan perubahan perilaku santri dan pengajar dalam menjaga kebersihan, meningkatnya praktik pemilahan sampah, perbaikan sanitasi, serta komitmen pesantren menjadikan fiqh lingkungan sebagai materi dakwah rutin. Implikasi program ini menegaskan bahwa integrasi fiqh lingkungan dan Coaching komunitas efektif sebagai model penguatan Ecological Intelligence dan dapat direplikasi pada pesantren lain yang ingin bertransformasi menuju eco-pesantren berbasis nilai keislaman.

Abstract

This study investigates the role of Sufi values in strengthening virtuous character (akhlak mahmudah) amid the rapid development of the digital era. Using a qualitative approach through literature review and direct observation of current digital behavior, the research explores six key aspects: the core concepts of Sufism as a foundation for soul purification and moral enhancement; the application of Sufi values in everyday digital activities; the contribution of education to moral development in the digital context; the relevance of Sufism in addressing emerging digital challenges; moral issues arising from digital interactions; and spiritual-based solutions to improve self-control and ethical awareness. The findings reveal that Sufi values such as muhasabah (self-reflection), muraqabah (self-monitoring), ikhlas (sincerity), sabr (patience), tawakkul (trust in God), and zuhud (detachment) provide meaningful guidelines for reducing negative behavior in the digital realm, promoting ethical communication, and encouraging wise and responsible use of technology. These spiritual principles assist individuals in navigating digital life with greater awareness, discipline, and integrity. Therefore, Sufism remains a relevant and effective moral framework for confronting ethical challenges and preventing moral decline in the digital age.

Abstract

Character education based on Islamic values ​​needs to be integrated with global educational principles to develop a superior generation. This study aims to determine the application of Islamic values ​​in learning activities at SMP IT Al-Irsyad Al-Islamiyyah Karawang, identify its integration with global educational principles, and assess the impact of religious activities on student character development. The research method used participatory observation of morning and evening dhikr activities, congregational prayer, halaqah (Islamic circle), the habit of wearing Islamic dress, and the Quran memorization program. The results indicate that the integration of Islamic values ​​with global educational principles creates a balance between students' spiritual, emotional, and intellectual intelligence. Students develop characters of faith, noble character, discipline, collaboration, and openness to the world. These findings emphasize the importance of developing interactive and collaborative learning methods that instill Islamic values ​​and 21st-century competencies. Recommendations for this study include increasing the integration of spiritual values ​​in learning, developing interactive methods, and collaborating with schools, teachers, parents, and the community to shape students' holistic character.

Abstract

Program Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (PKM) SANCASARI bertujuan meningkatkan kualitas bacaan, konsistensi hafalan, dan kapasitas pedagogis guru untuk peningkatan hafalan santri di Rumah Tahfizh al-Qur’an Hadza Min Fadhli Robby, Karawang. Urgensi program ini muncul dari adanya kesenjangan antara pertumbuhan jumlah rumah tahfizh dan rendahnya kualitas sistem pembinaan, terutama terkait ketiadaan instrumen monitoring, ketidakterstrukturan hafalan, serta terbatasnya kompetensi ustaz/ustazah. Pendekatan PKM menggunakan metode pendampingan berbasis coaching, halaqah, dan penggunaan buku saku SANCASARI sebagai panduan harian santri dalam membaca, menghafal, dan muroja’ah. Program dilaksanakan melalui asesmen awal, personalisasi modul, pendampingan intensif santri, serta penguatan kapasitas pengajar melalui diskusi kasus dan supervisi. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan pada kualitas bacaan (tajwid, makhārijul ḥurūf, dan ketertilan), penambahan hafalan pada seluruh kelompok usia, serta terbentuknya budaya belajar yang lebih disiplin dan terarah. Guru juga menunjukkan peningkatan kompetensi dalam mengelola setoran, memantau perkembangan santri, dan menerapkan evaluasi rutin. Implikasi program ini meliputi penguatan sistem pembinaan tahfizh yang sederhana namun terstruktur serta potensi replikasi model SANCASARI pada rumah tahfizh lain. Ke depan, disarankan adanya pelatihan lanjutan, evaluasi bulanan internal, serta pengembangan sistem informasi sederhana untuk memperkuat keberlanjutan program.

Abstract

Curriculum is one of the important elements in the implementation of education, including in Islamic Religious Education (PAI). In the development process, curriculum cannot be compiled arbitrarily, but needs to be based on various foundations that can serve as a reference so that educational objectives can be achieved properly. This article discusses various bases that become the foundation for developing the PAI curriculum, namely philosophical, psychological, sociological, and juridical foundations. The philosophical foundation plays a role in providing direction and basic values of Islamic education sourced from the Qur'an and Hadith. The psychological foundation is related to the characteristics and stages of development of students so that learning materials and processes can be adjusted to their needs. Meanwhile, the sociological foundation emphasizes the importance of curriculum to answer the needs of society and ongoing social changes. Meanwhile, the juridical foundation serves as a guide so that the curriculum developed remains in accordance with applicable education regulations and policies. Through understanding of these four foundations, the development of the PAI curriculum is expected to be able to produce students who have strong faith, broad insights, and are able to contribute positively to social, national, and religious life. Kurikulum merupakan salah satu unsur penting dalam penyelenggaraan pendidikan, termasuk dalam Pendidikan Agama Islam (PAI). Dalam proses pengembangannya, kurikulum tidak dapat disusun secara asal, tetapi perlu didasarkan pada berbagai landasan yang dapat menjadi acuan agar tujuan pendidikan dapat tercapai dengan baik. Artikel ini membahas berbagai landasan yang menjadi dasar pengembangan kurikulum PAI, yaitu landasan filosofis, psikologis, sosiologis, dan yuridis. Landasan filosofis berperan dalam memberikan arah dan nilai dasar pendidikan Islam yang bersumber dari Al-Qur'an dan Hadis. Landasan psikologis berkaitan dengan karakteristik serta tahap perkembangan peserta didik sehingga materi dan proses pembelajaran dapat disesuaikan dengan kebutuhan mereka. Sementara itu, landasan sosiologis menekankan pentingnya kurikulum untuk menjawab kebutuhan masyarakat serta perubahan sosial yang terus berlangsung. Adapun landasan yuridis menjadi pedoman agar kurikulum yang dikembangkan tetap sesuai dengan peraturan dan kebijakan pendidikan yang berlaku. Melalui pemahaman terhadap keempat landasan tersebut, pengembangan kurikulum PAI diharapkan mampu menghasilkan peserta didik yang memiliki keimanan yang kuat, wawasan yang luas, serta mampu memberikan kontribusi positif bagi kehidupan bermasyarakat, berbangsa, dan beragama.
