Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of STEAM-based SETS learning to improve students' science literacy in science learning. This type of research is a meta-analysis of data collection through the analysis of 11 national and international journals published in 2021-2024. Data sampling techniques through purposive sampling techniques. The inclusion criteria in this study are research accessed through the google scholar database; ERIC, Sciencedirect and Wiley, research related to the STEAM-based SETS model to improve students' science literacy in science learning, Research must be indexed by SINTA, Scopus and WOS and research has complete data to calculate effect size. Data search keywords are SETS learning models, STEAM, Science literacy and Science learning. Data selection process through PRISMA method. Data analysis is quantitative analysis with the help of Microsoft Excel application. The results concluded that the STEM-based SETS learning model had a significant effect on students' science literacy skills with an average value of effect size (ES= 0.834) in the high effect size category. The findings provide important information that STEM-based STEM learning modes are effective for improving students' science literacy in science learning with N-gain = 0.41.

Abstract

The 21st century has had such a big influence on the development of the world of education. Education today has been based on technology which is very helpful for teachers in carrying out learning activities. Blended learning is a learning model that utilizes technology. However, the many applications of the blended learning model have not reached in-depth conclusions related to ethnopedagogy-based blended learning models on students' problem-solving abilities. This study aims to determine the effect of ethnopedagogy-based blended learning models on students' problem-solving skills. This study is a type of meta-analysis research. The research data comes from an analysis of 17 national and international journals that have been published in 2019-2024. The criteria for data eligibility are that research must be experimental methods or quasi-experiments; Research comes from national and international journals indexed by SINTA and Scopus, Research related to ethnopedagogy-based blended learning models on students' problem-solving abilities, research data obtained through trusted databases namely mendeley, ERIC, ScienceDirect, Wiley and Google Scholar. The technique of displaying data samples is purposive sampling. Data analysis in research is quantitative data analysis by calculating the value of effect size with the help of the OpenMEE application. The results showed that the application of ethnopedagogy-based blended learning models had a significant effect on students' problem-solving abilities with an average effect size value of 0.927 with a high effect size category.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of ICT-based inquiry-based learning model on students' critical thinking skills. This research is a type of quantitative research with a meta-analysis approach. The data in this study came from the analysis of 16 national journals published in 2020-2024. The inclusion criteria in this meta-analysis consisted of experimental or quasi-experimental method research, data derived from SINTA and Scopus indexed journals or proceedings, research related to ICT-based inquiry-based learning models on students' critical thinking skills, sample size> 25 students; Data obtained from trusted databases, namely sciencedirect, ERIC, Wiley and Taylor of Francis and research describing complete data to calculate the effect size (ES) value. Data analysis in this study is quantitative analysis by calculating the effect size value of each study with the help of OpenMEE software. The results concluded that the ICT-based inquiry-based learning model had a positive effect on students' critical thinking skills with an ES value = 0.839; z= 6.024; < 0.001 This finding provides important information for educators in implementing ICT-based inquiry-based learning model in learning.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the influence of the flipped classroom-based Jigsaw model on students' critical thinking skills in PAI learning. This type of research is quantitative research with the use of meta-analysis. The inclusion criteria in this study are research published in 2021-2024; Research must be relevant; research must be experimental or quasi-experimental methods; research must be indexed by SINTA, Scopus or Web of Science; Research must be carried out on Islamic Religious Education learning and research data must be complete to calculate the effect size value. Data analysis is to calculate the effect size value with the help of a JSAP application. The results of the study concluded that the flipped classroom-based jigsaw model positively influenced the thinking ability of students in PAI learners with a score (rRE= 1.026; z= 7.086 and p < 0.001). This finding provides important information for applying the flipped classroom-based jigsaw learning model to encourage the critical thinking skills of school students.

Abstract

In the context of language learning, including Mandarin education in Indonesia, digital literacy provides substantial benefits such as broader access to diverse learning resources, interactive learning opportunities, and more personalized learning experiences, while vocabulary mastery remains a fundamental component of language acquisition because it underpins learners’ ability to comprehend and use the target language effectively. However, although digital literacy has been widely examined in general educational settings, empirical evidence that specifically links digital literacy to HSK Level 3 (三级) vocabulary mastery (三级的生词) among first-year Mandarin students remains limited; therefore, this study addresses this gap by investigating (1) students’ digital literacy levels, (2) their mastery of HSK 3 vocabulary, and (3) the relationship between the two variables among Mandarin Language Study Program students. Using a quantitative survey design, primary numerical data were collected from 205 respondents and analyzed statistically. The results indicate that digital literacy significantly predicts HSK 3 vocabulary mastery (p < 0.05) and demonstrates substantial explanatory power: based on the proportion of regression sum of squares to total sum of squares (13,093.326 / 15,307.395), the model accounts for approximately 85.5% of the variance in vocabulary mastery, with strong overall model fit (F = 1200.480). These findings suggest that higher digital literacy is associated with better HSK 3 vocabulary mastery, highlighting digital literacy as a key factor in supporting successful Mandarin learning in digitally mediated environments and providing evidence to inform more targeted digital-literacy strengthening to optimize students’ use of learning applications, educational videos, and digital dictionaries.

Abstract

This study aims to explore teachers' experiences in using digital portfolio assessment for biography texts in grade XI SMA. The research focuses on three main issues: (1) psychological and pedagogical changes in the application of technology, (2) technical and substantial problems encountered, and (3) the positive impact on students' writing ability. The subjective experiences of four Indonesian teachers were explored through interviews and portfolio document analysis. A qualitative research method with a phenomenological approach was used in this study. Results showed that teachers experienced a dilemma between enthusiasm for the benefits of digital portfolios and anxiety about the technology due to limited capabilities. One of the main issues included infrastructure problems, the problem of designing an assessment rubric that matches the features of biographical texts, and the additional task of providing feedback. However, digital portfolios have been shown to improve students' writing skills, especially in terms of text organisation, language use, and analysis of characters' values. This study suggests creating a broad teacher training model that incorporates technology based on contextual needs, and creating guidelines for assessing digital portfolios of biography texts more specifically. These results enhance the literature on evaluation for learning in the Indonesian educational context and aid the development of authentic assessment practices in the digital era.

Abstract

This literature review aims to look at character education in realizing human potential with noble morals. Character education aims to improve the quality of implementation and educational outcomes that lead to the achievement of the formation of character or noble morals in a complete, integrated and balanced manner, in accordance with graduate competency standards. Through character education it is hoped that they will be able to independently improve and use their knowledge, study and internalize and personalize values. -character values and noble morals so that they are manifested in everyday behavior. Character formation and character education starts at home, through school, and in everyday life in society, thus, it cannot be done solely through learning knowledge, but must also be done through instilling or educating values. The formation of human morals in their consciousness is supported by the potential of reason or ratio which drives the selectivity of good or bad actions. Then, humans also have the potential for feeling which they achieve through their visual senses and emotional strength in their souls, thereby developing their intuitive ability to adopt something they judge to be good and beneficial.

Abstract

It is necessary to develop an interest in learning good Japanese business communication in students. Considering the importance of learning interest in the learning process, teachers must pay attention to and develop this learning interest. The communication culture of Japanese society in general characterizes Japanese business communication in particular. Even though Japanese business communication is actually considered more complex, this is a derivative of the character of Japanese society itself. In learning Japanese, apart from being introduced to the communication culture, other cultures related to the Japanese business world should also be introduced. Some values in the Japanese business world are still closely held, but there are also values that have begun to be abandoned, one of which is loyalty. Japanese business communication culture in the form of group orientation can be introduced through learning jikoshokai 'self introduction' and meishi kokan 'exchanging business cards'. Apart from that, the expressions osewa ni narimashita and juju hyogen 'the expression give and receive' can be taught to introduce hierarchical culture. Meanwhile, horenso culture can be introduced through learning the N gurai Vru monda sentence pattern.

Abstract

This literature review discusses the development of a participatory learning model to increase interest in learning social sciences. Participatory learning activities as a new model in the educational process emerged in higher education units in the seventies and are flexible and open to further development. This characteristic is an opportunity for students to strive to develop principles, methods and techniques that are suitable for use in participatory learning. Participatory learning is expected to be able to increase students' involvement in the learning process, students are given the freedom and breadth to develop their potential. This is to increase student interest in learning and student activity in learning. So that students will understand and apply it in everyday life and can have implications for increasing students' interest in learning in Social Sciences subjects. In this learning, principles are used, namely based on learning needs, oriented to the goals of learning activities, based on experience, centered on learning citizens. Efforts to implement participatory learning can be emphasized by emphasizing the role of education to help students carry out active and participatory learning activities in Social Sciences lessons.
