Abstract

Advocacy education is an approach that emphasises students' active involvement in fighting for their rights and empowering them as agents of change in the school environment. This study aims to analyse the principles, strategies and social implications of advocacy education based on a literature review. The results of the analysis show that the application of principles such as inclusivity, collaboration, and empowerment can increase student participation, build critical character, and foster a sense of social responsibility. Advocacy education strategies integrated in the curriculum, school policies and educational culture provide space for students to develop critical thinking, communication and leadership skills. In addition, advocacy education has a broad social impact, from creating an inclusive school environment to strengthening students' capacity to face challenges in society. However, the implementation of advocacy education also faces challenges such as cultural resistance and limited resources, so a joint commitment from all stakeholders is needed to optimise its benefits in realising a just and democratic education system.

Abstract

Civic education in primary schools is an important instrument in shaping the character of the nation's children to have a national perspective, positive social behaviour, and be ready to contribute to the development of the country. This study uses a literature review to examine the role of civic education in shaping social attitudes and fostering active participation among students from an early age. The results of the literature review show that PKn is effective in instilling the values of tolerance, mutual cooperation, solidarity, responsibility, and legal awareness, which are the foundations of social life. In addition, PKn is able to encourage student involvement in various social activities and simple democratic activities, which then become initial training in actively participating in the development of the nation and state. With a participatory learning approach, teacher role models, and integration with the environment and family, PKn can make a real contribution to creating a young generation with social character, who are caring and have an active role in sustainable national development.

Abstract

This study aims to analyse the main challenges in implementing new education policies in Indonesia, focusing on teacher readiness, limited school infrastructure, and inter-institutional coordination as the main obstacles. The method used is a systematic literature review of various journal articles, policy reports, and empirical studies published between 2015 and 2025. The results of the analysis show that teacher readiness, which includes pedagogical competence and mental preparedness, is crucial to the effectiveness of policy implementation. In addition, disparities in educational infrastructure between urban and remote areas also hinder the equitable implementation of policies. Another crucial obstacle is the weak coordination between institutions, which hinders programme synchronisation and communication, thereby affecting the smooth implementation of policies. This study concludes that education reform efforts must prioritise strengthening teacher capacity, improving the quality and equity of infrastructure, and managing cross-institutional coordination. A holistic and collaborative approach is key to the successful implementation of new education policies in Indonesia.

Abstract

Dyslexia is a specific learning disorder known for difficulties in the acquisition of reading skills, especiall y in terms of reading speed and fluency as well as text comprehension. The disorder is neurological in nature and often genetic, with affected individuals having difficulties in word recognition, decoding language sounds, and processing and recalling visual and verbal information. Although dyslexia is not related to general intelligence levels, it can affect various aspects of learning and oral and written communication. The study in this research uses the literature research method. The results show that Teachers can overcome the difficulty of learning the Qur'an in dyslexic students by applying multisensory strategies, which involve the use of various senses in the learning process. These strategies include visualization of letters and words, auditory through repeated recitations, and kinesthetic such as writing and arranging letters. It is also important for the teacher to provide motivation and emotional support, as well as modify the pace of learning according to the individual needs of the student, thus creating a pleasant learning environment and minimizing frustration. This personalized approach increases students' confidence in learning the Qur'an and makes it easier for them to overcome the barriers caused by dyslexia.

Abstract

Evaluation and monitoring in education management are critical components that support the improvement of the quality and effectiveness of educational institutions. Therefore, it is important to implement a comprehensive evaluation and monitoring system as a tool to analyse and optimise the teaching and learning process as well as the day-to-day operations of educational institutions. Through evaluation, the strengths and weaknesses of the education system can be identified, providing a basis for strategic decision-making and more efficient resource allocation. Continuous monitoring ensures that any quality improvement initiatives are not only implemented but also receive systematic feedback for further refinement. In addition, this process supports increased transparency and accountability of educational institutions, strengthens public trust and promotes a culture of continuous quality improvement. Thus, evaluation and monitoring become not only a measuring tool for institutional performance but also a catalyst for the development of education that is innovative and responsive to future challenges.

Abstract

This systematic literature review investigates the effect of Culturally Responsive Teaching Practices (CTRP) on minority students' academic achievement, engagement, and social-emotional well-being. By analysing existing research, this study reveals that the implementation of CTRP, which involves acknowledging students' cultural identities, incorporating diverse perspectives into the curriculum, and adapting instruction, significantly improves educational outcomes for culturally marginalised students. However, the success of CTRP depends on teachers' cultural competence, institutional support and availability of resources. This study highlights the need for further efforts in teacher training, curriculum development and research to advance the understanding and implementation of CTRP, with the ultimate goal of closing the achievement gap and promoting equity in education for all students, regardless of their background. The findings provide valuable insights for education practitioners, policymakers and researchers who seek to create more inclusive and diversity- supportive learning environments.

Abstract

Digital transformation in public services offers increased efficiency, transparency, and accessibility, but also presents significant challenges in the context of State Administrative Law. These challenges include regulatory adjustments to new technologies, uneven digital infrastructure, cybersecurity issues, and changes in organisational culture in government agencies. In addition, the issue of interoperability between government agency systems and the financing required for digital technologies is also a major concern. The protection of personal data and upholding the principle of good governance are important aspects that must be maintained in the digital administration process. With effective collaboration between the government, the private sector, and the community, it is hoped that these challenges can be overcome, so that digital transformation can provide optimal benefits for public services.
