Abstract

Digital infrastructure investment has great potential to boost the growth of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in disadvantaged areas. This study aims to analyse the impact of digital infrastructure development on improving market access, operational efficiency, and competitiveness of MSMEs in lagging regions. The results of the analysis show that improved internet access, digitalisation of business services, and the development of digital training centres can provide opportunities for MSMEs to grow significantly. However, a number of challenges such as low digital literacy, limited capital, and policies that are not yet fully supportive hinder the optimisation of the benefits of these investments. Therefore, a holistic strategy consisting of policy support, digital education, and business ecosystem strengthening is needed to maximise the positive impact of digital infrastructure. These findings emphasise the important role of digital investment in reducing economic disparities in underdeveloped regions and strengthening the position of MSMEs as sustainable drivers of the local economy.

Abstract

Indonesia is one of the main exporters of fishery products in the global market, supported by its rich marine resources and comparative advantages in several commodities such as tuna, shrimp, and seaweed. However, the competitiveness of Indonesian fishery products still faces challenges in the form of intense competition, fluctuations in demand, and demands for higher quality and sustainability standards from the international market. This study aims to identify the determinants of competitiveness and formulate strategies to improve the competitiveness of Indonesian fishery products through a literature review. The results showed that the implementation of international quality standards, innovation of value-added processed products, logistics and cold chain efficiency, and strengthening the traceability system are the main factors determining competitiveness. In addition, strengthening human resource capacity, access to financing, market diversification, and multi-stakeholder collaboration are effective strategies to strengthen Indonesia's position as a competitive and sustainable fisheries exporter in the global market.

Abstract

Economic growth is one of the main indicators of a country's development success, both at the local and national levels. The government plays a strategic role in driving this growth through fiscal and monetary policies, infrastructure development, strengthening the productive sector, and empowering MSMEs. Synergy between central and regional policies is a key factor in creating inclusive, sustainable, and equitable growth across regions. This study uses a literature review method by analysing various academic sources, official government publications, and research reports related to the relationship between government policies, economic growth, and state revenue. The results of the study show that positive economic growth can expand the tax base, increase state revenue through income tax, value-added tax, local taxes, and levies. In addition, equitable growth contributes to an increase in local revenue, which supports fiscal independence. To optimise the contribution of economic growth to tax and fee revenue, adaptive and integrative policies are needed, along with tax reforms that emphasise broadening the tax base, digitalising services, and improving taxpayer compliance. These findings confirm that the integration of economic and fiscal policies is a determining factor in strengthening the capacity for national development financing and improving public welfare.

Abstract

Community-based marketing strategy is a marketing approach that emphasises building and managing an active community of consumers, users, or fans of a brand, with the aim of creating stronger bonds, increasing loyalty, and driving organic growth through positive social interactions. This approach relies on the creation of shared value between the brand and its members, where two-way communication and active customer participation in various activities are key. This strategy focuses on shared experiences, trust, and values shared within the community to drive engagement, positive word-of-mouth, and ultimately, sustainable market development over time. The research method conducted in this study uses the literature research method. The results show that community- based marketing strategies offer various benefits, including increased customer engagement, positive responses through word-of-mouth, and the ability to obtain real-time feedback that provides opportunities for innovation and fulfilment of customer needs more effectively. However, challenges such as the need for a large investment of resources and the difficulty in measuring short-term ROI mean that this strategy requires a patient and consistent approach. Community-based marketing strategies, with the right approach, can be the key for companies to develop markets in a more sustainable way and increase long-term profits.

Abstract

The technological revolution of the last decade has significantly impacted the financial services industry, characterised by the rise of financial technology (fintech). Abstract

Taxes and community empowerment are closely related in the context of tax cut programmes aimed at vulnerable groups. A tax cut is a reduction in tax burden granted by the government to certain individuals or groups to increase their disposable income. In vulnerable groups, which usually include low-income individuals, the elderly, and those in difficult economic conditions, tax cuts aim to reduce financial hardship and improve access to basic needs such as food, health, and education. The method used in this research uses the literature research method. The results show that the tax cut programme can significantly contribute to improving the welfare of vulnerable groups by increasing disposable income and reducing economic burden. However, the effectiveness of this programme is highly dependent on proper policy design, efficient implementation, and the government's ability to maintain fiscal balance. Focused and well-structured programmes tend to achieve better results in terms of community empowerment compared to generic or overly broad programmes. In addition, community involvement and transparency in programme implementation are also key factors in ensuring success and accountability. The study concludes that with proper planning and execution, tax deduction programmes can be an effective tool in empowering vulnerable groups and improving socio-economic welfare more broadly.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the impact of economic and social inequality on people's welfare through a comprehensive literature review. Economic and social inequality is an increasingly prominent issue in many countries and has far-reaching implications for societal stability and development. This study identifies that high inequality contributes to various social problems such as increased crime, declining public health, and limited access to education and economic opportunities. In addition, inequality weakens social cohesion and trust among community members, which can impact political stability and the effectiveness of public policies. To address these negative impacts, this study suggests the need for fairer redistributive policies, as well as improved access to fundamental services such as education and health, to improve individual well-being and achieve more inclusive and sustainable economic growth.
