Abstract

Fokus dari penelitian ini adalah untuk 1) Memahami konsep media sosial juga prestasi belajar, 2) Menilai pengaruh baik dan buruk yang ditimbulkan oleh internet, 3) Mengidentifikasi keuntungan media sosial terhadap hasil belajar siswa, 4) Menganalisis keterkaitan antara aktivitas di media sosial dengan hasil belajar. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode pengumpulan data dengan mengacu pada hasil kajian jurnal yang relevan mengenai akibat media sosial terhadap hasil belajar siswa. Data yang dianalisis berfokus pada pengaruh media sosial terhadap hasil belajar siswa. Kesimpulannya, media sosial memberikan dampak yang besar terhadap prestasi belajar, baik yang bersifat baik maupun buruk. Oleh karena itu, Peran penting orang tua dan guru diperlukan untuk Membimbing siswa memanfaatkan media sosial dalam rangka meningkatkan prestasi belajar mereka.

Abstract

This study explores the role of ice breaking in building positive interactions between teachers and students in the third grade of SDN Ciwedus using a descriptive qualitative approach. Data collection was conducted through participatory observation of 12 learning sessions, semi-structured interviews with teachers and the principal, focus group discussions with students, and analysis of learning documents. The results revealed that structured and contextual implementation of ice breaking contributes significantly to the transformation of educational interaction patterns into more collaborative and dialogical ones. Ice breaking was implemented at three strategic times (beginning of learning, transitions between materials, and during attention decreases) with a predominance of kinesthetic-based activities (42%). After ice breaking implementation, there was an identified increase in cognitive attention (89% of students), positive affective expression (94%), and more proactive interactive behavior (68%). Implementation constraints included time limitations, heterogeneity of student responsiveness, and challenges in maintaining relevance to learning substance. Adaptation strategies developed by teachers included integration of ice breaking as a pedagogical instrument and development of categorized activity banks. This study concludes that ice breaking plays a strategic role in forming a conducive learning ecosystem in lower grades, not only creating a pleasant atmosphere but also facilitating fundamental transformation in teacher-student relational dynamics.

Abstract

Artikel ini membahas mengenai bullying dimana kasus bullying merupakan fenomena sosial yang kian marak terjadi khususnya di lingkungan sekolah dasar, di mana anak-anak menjadi korban maupun pelaku. Tindakan bullying ini menciptakan suasana sekolah yang tidak lagi aman dan menyenangkan, serta berdampak negatif terhadap psikologis dan proses belajar siswa. Berdasarkan Kamus Besar Bahasa Indonesia, bullying didefinisikan sebagai tindakan intimidasi seperti menyakiti, melecehkan, atau mengganggu orang lain secara terus-menerus, baik disengaja maupun tidak. Penting bagi semua pihak, terutama sekolah dan orang tua, untuk memahami dan menangani perundungan sejak dini demi menciptakan lingkungan belajar yang sehat dan positif bagi anak-anak. Selanjutnya, artikel ini menyajikan langkah-langkah proaktif yang dapat diambil oleh pendidik untuk mencegah bullying dan mengajari bullying umumnya di Sekolah Dasar sehingga dapat mengatasi kasus bullying secara efektif. Hal ini harus menjadi perhatian semua terutama pihak sekolah, agar lebih memerhatikan kejadian bullying dan mengatasi tindakan bullying yang sudah banyak terjadi di Sekolah Dasar.

Abstract

This study aims to identify the initial reading difficulties experienced by grade 2 students of MI Ats Tsauroh, as well as the factors that influence and the solutions provided by teachers to overcome these difficulties. Based on observations and interviews with teachers and the principal, it was found that some students experienced difficulties in reading, such as difficulties in spelling, reading word order, reading diphthongs, and understanding the meaning of words. Factors that influence these difficulties include internal factors, such as students' attitudes and interests in learning, intelligence, and students' awareness of the importance of reading. Meanwhile, external factors include the family and school environment. To overcome these difficulties, teachers apply various solutions, such as counseling, increasing reading hours after KBM, and using learning methods such as the alphabet method, letter cards, spelling, and dictation. This study shows that with the right strategy, initial reading difficulties can be overcome, so that students' reading ability can improve.

Abstract

This research analyzes the extraordinary memory abilities demonstrated by 11 out of 21 grade 2 students at SDN PONTANG 2. They are able to memorize country names, colors and flag symbols with high accuracy. This phenomenon is interesting because it is rarely found in children his age who are usually still learning basic skills such as reading and writing. A qualitative approach with a case study method was used to explore factors supporting students’ memory abilities, such as the role of the learning environment, teaching strategies, and family support. Data was collected through in-depth interviews, observation and documentation with students and teachers. Thematic analysis identified patterns and themes related to memory development. The results show that interactive teaching methods, such as visual media and educational games, are very effective in improving students’ abilities. However, challenges such as lack of cognitive stimulation at home and limited school facilities remain obstacles.

Abstract

Technology has become an integral part of everyday life,including in the field of education. Its presence-especially in the form of social media-offers numerous positive benefits but also brings potential negative impacts.In today’s digital era, social media is used by various groups, including elementary school students, as a means to interact and gain knowledge. Platforms such as YouTube, Google,and others have influenced how children communicate and socialize.This study aims to examine the impact of social media on the socialization of elementary school children,both in terms of its advantages and the challenges it poses.Additionally,the study seeks to identify strategies to optimize its benefits while minimizing its harmful effects. The research uses a descriptive qualitative method through a literature rivew,with data gathered from books,scientific journals,and other relevant sources.The findings indicate that social media significantly affects children’s patterns of communication and social interaction.While it offers advantages such as improving technological skills and social competence,it can also lead to negative effects like reduced face-to-face interaction and exposure to inappropriate content.Therefore,the active role of parents and educators is essential in providing proper supervision and guidance. Through these efforts,the negative impacts of social media on the socislization of elementary school children can be minimazed, while its positive effects can be maximized.

Abstract

Studi ini memiliki tujuan untuk memeriksa apakah lingkungan keluarga dapat mempengaruhi kinerja pembelajaran di antara siswa – siswi. Studi ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode pengamatan dan wawancara dengan anak – anak dan orang tua siswa. Responden adalah siswa siswi dan wali murid. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan kuesioner, dan wawancara. survey ini digunakan untuk mengambil data tentang variabel di lingkungan keluarga dan wawancara digunakan untuk menentukan hubungan siswa dengan orang tua. Temuan penelitian ini dapat ditarik pada kesimpulan bahwa lingkungan keluarga dapat sangat mempengaruhi kinerja pembelajaran anak – anak dan memotivasi semangat belajar anak – anak.

Abstract

Character education for elementary school children in the digital era is crucial for shaping a generation that is not only intellectually capable but also morally upright. This study discusses the importance of character education amid the rapid development of technology, as well as the positive and negative impacts of technology on children's character. Technology provides children with faster access to information, but without proper supervision, they may fall into negative behaviors such as digital addiction, the spread of misinformation, and cyberbullying. This study suggests the significant role of educators, parents, and society in guiding children to use technology wisely and responsibly. With an integrated educational approach, children can be equipped with strong character and the ability to face challenges in the digital world with good morals. The study recommends integrating character education into the use of technology and emphasizes the importance of adequate supervision in guiding children to be not only smart but also morally responsible in their use of technology.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of learning style variations on the academic achievement of fifth-grade students at SD IT Al Hanif Cilegon. The research employs a qualitative approach using a case study method. Data collection techniques include participatory observation, in-depth interviews, and document analysis. The study sample consists of 28 students, comprising 13 boys and 15 girls, selected through purposive sampling. Data analysis follows the interactive model of Miles and Huberman, involving data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings reveal three primary learning styles that affect students' academic performance: visual, auditory, and kinesthetic. Visual learners tend to comprehend material more effectively through images, diagrams, and other visual media, while auditory learners absorb information more easily through verbal explanations and discussions. Kinesthetic learners, on the other hand, demonstrate a better understanding through physical activities and hands-on experiences. Additionally, learning environment factors, the role of teachers in facilitating appropriate teaching methods, and parental involvement significantly contribute to students' academic success. The study implies the importance of implementing diverse and adaptive teaching methods tailored to students' learning styles to optimize their academic potential. By understanding students' learning style characteristics, teachers can create more effective and inclusive learning experiences.
