Abstract

Antibiotic use in livestock production contributes significantly to antimicrobial resistance, creating urgency for more sustainable alternatives. Lactobacillus-based probiotics have been widely explored, but their effectiveness varies depending on livestock species, strain, dosage, and rearing conditions, highlighting the need for comprehensive evaluation. This systematic review aimed to assess the role of Lactobacillus in suppressing pathogenic bacteria, improving animal performance, and its potential as an alternative to antibiotics or antibiotic growth promoters (AGPs). The study applied a Systematic Literature Review approach using the PICO framework and PRISMA guidelines. Literature searches were conducted in Scopus, Web of Science, PubMed, and ScienceDirect, focusing on empirical studies published in the last 10 years. Study quality was assessed using MMAT, and data were synthesized through thematic analysis with NVivo 14. Out of 106 identified records, 61 studies met the inclusion criteria. The findings indicate that Lactobacillus suppresses pathogens through competitive exclusion, acidification of the gut environment, and production of antimicrobial metabolites. Evidence of improved performance was strongest in broilers and pigs, particularly in weight gain and feed efficiency, while layers showed improvements in egg production. However, variability across studies suggests context-dependent outcomes. Overall, Lactobacillus shows strong potential to reduce antibiotic reliance, though further research is needed to standardize applications and validate its effectiveness across production systems.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the low critical thinking ability of students in learning Aqidah Akhlak which is still dominated by lecture methods. This condition causes students to be less active in the learning process. The Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) model was chosen because it is able to connect the material with students' real lives so that learning becomes more meaningful. This study aims to describe the application of the Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) model and find out the results on the critical thinking skills of grade IV students at MI Muhammadiyah Ponorogo. The research uses a qualitative approach of the field research type. Data was collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of the study show that the application of the Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) model is carried out through learning planning, the implementation of activities that relate the material to students' daily experiences, discussions, questions and answers, and reflections. The application of this model is able to improve students' critical thinking skills as seen from the courage to ask questions, express opinions, analyze problems, and draw conclusions. Learning becomes more active and fun. The conclusion of this study shows that the Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) model is effectively used to improve the critical thinking skills of grade IV students in the subject of Aqidah Akhlak at MI Muhammadiyah Ponorogo.

Abstract

Cow urine is livestock waste that contains essential nutrients and has the potential to be utilized as a raw material for liquid organic fertilizer (LOF). The addition of Local Microorganisms (MOL) derived from banana corm as a bioactivator is expected to enhance the quality of LOF through the fermentation process. This study aimed to analyze the effect of banana corm MOL addition on the physical and chemical quality of cow urine-based liquid organic fertilizer and to determine the most effective dosage. The study employed an experimental method using a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) consisting of three treatments and three replications. The treatments were P0 (5 L of cow urine without MOL), P1 (5 L of cow urine + 2.5 L of rice washing water + 50 mL of banana corm MOL), and P2 (5 L of cow urine + 2.5 L of rice washing water + 100 mL of banana corm MOL). The observed parameters included physical characteristics (color, odor, texture, and pH) and chemical characteristics (nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium contents). The results indicated that the addition of banana corm MOL improved the characteristics of liquid organic fertilizer. The best treatment was obtained in P2, which produced a dark brown color, a stable and non-pungent fermented odor, a pH of 7.06, nitrogen content of 1.98%, phosphorus content of 1.98%, and potassium content of 2.07%. However, the analysis of variance (ANOVA) showed that the addition of banana corm MOL had no significant effect (p > 0.05) on all observed parameters. Based on these findings, the application of 100 mL of banana corm MOL is recommended as the most effective treatment because it produced superior physical and chemical characteristics of cow urine-based liquid organic fertilizer.

Abstract

The power graph is defined as a graph whose vertexset consists of the elements of a group, where two vertices arejoined by an edge if one element is a power of the other. In thisresearch we discuss the power graph of a cyclic group of order n=pq, with p and q distinct prime numbers, illustrates theconnectivity among its vertices and reveals important topologicalproperties such as the diameter and the clique number. Fur-thermore, this study also examines the degrees of the verticesand provides an analysis of the Hamiltonian, Eulerian, andplanar characteristics of the graph. These findings highlighthow algebraic structures can be effectively explored throughgraph-theoretical perspectives, offering deeper insights into theinterplay between group theory and graph topology.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of attitude, social norms, and perceived behavioral control on the intention to pay zakat through the National Board of Zakat (BAZNAS) of Tasikmalaya Regency based on the Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB) framework. This study employed an associative quantitative approach using purposive sampling involving 99 muzakki respondents. Data were collected through a closed-ended questionnaire using a five-point Likert scale developed based on indicators of attitude, social norms, perceived behavioral control, and intention to pay zakat. The collected data were transformed from an ordinal scale into an interval scale using the Method of Successive Interval (MSI) and then analyzed using multiple linear regression with the assistance of SPSS. The results show that, partially, social norms and perceived behavioral control have a positive and significant effect on the intention to pay zakat, while attitude has a positive but insignificant effect. Simultaneously, attitude, social norms, and perceived behavioral control significantly affect the intention to pay zakat, with the model explaining 76.9% of the variation in the intention to pay zakat. These findings indicate that social influence and individuals’ perceptions of the ease and ability to pay zakat are important factors in shaping their intention. This study implies that BAZNAS should strengthen the role of religious figures and social environments while improving the accessibility and convenience of zakat payment services.
