Abstract

This article analyzes the characters and characterization in the novel "Women at Zero Point" by Nawal El Saadawi using a feminist approach. This novel depicts women's struggle in facing oppression, violence and gender injustice in a patriarchal society. A feminist approach is used to analyze how the female characters in this novel face these problems and struggle to find freedom. This analysis uses a literature review method by referring to the novel "Perempuan di Titik Zero" and relevant feminist literature studies. Focus is given to the main character, Firdaus, as well as other female characters in this novel. The results of the analysis show that the female characters in this novel face oppression and violence carried out by the patriarchal system. Firdaus, as the main character, faces various forms of sexual exploitation, domestic violence, and objectification by the surrounding community. However, this novel also highlights women's solidarity as a source of strength and support in their struggle against gender injustice. A feminist approach helps in seeing how the author criticizes patriarchal norms that limit women. Firdaus and other female characters challenge narrow social expectations and attempt to shape their identities outside these constraints. In conclusion, This analysis confirms that the novel "Women at Point Zero" is a reflection of women's struggle to seek freedom and overcome gender injustice in a patriarchal society. Women's solidarity and criticism of patriarchal norms are important themes in this novel, inviting readers to consider the role and influence of patriarchy in women's lives.

Abstract

ABSTRAK Kinerja merupakan tolok ukur dari keberlanjutan suatu perusahaan, termasuk UMKM. Jika antar-pelaku UMKM mempunyai hubungan yang kuat dan mampu menjalin komunikasi yang baik maka kinerja dan tujuan UMKM akan tercapai dengan cepat dan efisien. Komunikasi yang dimaksud adalah berbagi pengetahuan sesama pelaku UMKM, selain itu dalam implementasinya diperlukan juga sistem informasi yang dapat membantu UMKM untuk meningkatkan efektivitas berbagi pengetahuan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengkaji knowledge sharing atas kinerja usaha mikro kecil dan menengah di Kabupaten Majalengka melalui pemoderasi adopsi sistem. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan deskriptif kuantitatif. Populasi terdiri dari pelaku UMKM di Kabupaten Majalengka sebanyak 211.749 UMKM, dibagi dalam 10 kategori usaha. Penentuan ukuran sampel menggunakan proporsional random sampling dan diperoleh sampel 205 UMKM. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan teknik accidental sampling. Analisis data menggunakan Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) dengan SmartPLS 3. Berdasarkan temuan studi, knowledge sharing berdampak positif serta signifikan terhadap proses operasional atau kinerja UMKM. Hasil utama penelitian ini yaitu adopsi sistem informasi dapat memperkuat hubungan antara pertukaran pengetahuan dan proses kerja UMKM. ABSTRACT Performance is a measure of the sustainability of a company, including MSMEs. If MSME actors have strong relationships and are able to establish good communication, then MSME performance and objectives will be achieved quickly and efficiently. The communication in question is sharing knowledge among MSME actors, besides that in its implementation an information system is also needed that can help MSMEs to increase the effectiveness of knowledge sharing. The purpose of this study is to examine knowledge sharing on the performance of micro, small and medium enterprises in Majalengka Regency through moderating system adoption. This research method uses quantitative descriptive. The population consists of 211,749 SMEs in Majalengka Regency, divided into 10 business categories. Determining the sample size using proportional random sampling and obtained a sample of 205 SMEs. Sampling was done by accidental sampling technique. Data analysis using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with SmartPLS 3. Based on the study findings, knowledge sharing has a positive and significant impact on the operational processes or performance of MSMEs. The main result of this study is that the adoption of information systems can strengthen the relationship between knowledge exchange and MSME work processes.

Abstract

This research aims to analyse the application of e-business and organisational support to work ethics in realising Green Human Resource Management (GHRM). GHRM is a program that helps create a friendly workforce that respects the culture in an organisation, and one of the factors is that work ethics influences it. The research method used is quantitative, with the analytical technique being structural equation modelling analysis via SmartPLS 3.0. The research sample was 282 academic community members at universities in the Cirebon, Indramayu, Majalengka and Kuningan areas, with the sampling technique carried out using cluster proportional random sampling. The reseach of this study found that organizational support in this study had the lowest influence in moving towards GHRM. This research provides recommendations for improving the internal organization, especially in improving the culture of collaboration, coordination and cooperation, is vital in improving Green Human Resource Management.

Abstract

The development of technology is increasingly rapid, encouraging the people of Indonesia, especially Bandung city, to start shifting from cash to the era of a cashless society, especially when it is currently in the Covid-19 pandemic. This research aims to design the concept of electronic services for transportation in Bandung. The method used was descriptive to 25 respondents. These results indicated that the Bandung communities need the latest innovations to simplify the payment system. The use of the EBAP Card is only by using a card that is attached to a sensor machine provided by public transportation. EBAP Card is made as a substitute for cash for public transportation payment transactions. This EBAP Card payment transaction is faster than using cash. The direct impact of this program's benefits for the community is that the public can pay public transport fares with an EBAP Card that is safe, comfortable, accurate, and efficient. This payment system will reduce direct contact during this Covid-19 period. With the implementation of electronic-based payments, payment transaction services on public transportation are faster, so it is hoped that the travel convenience of public transport users in Bandung will increase.

Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic has brought unprecedented challenges and opportunities for knowledge management systems (KMS) in various domains and sectors. This research explores the strategies to manage expectational knowledge in higher education after the COVID-19 pandemic. This study employed a qualitative research method with a case study design to capture the students’ perspectives on strategies to manage expectational knowledge in higher education after the COVID-19 pandemic. The participants are students at the doctoral program, Universitas Pasundan, Bandung, West Java, Indonesia. The interview was conducted in December 2022 using a semi-structured interview technique and then was analyzed using thematic analysis. This research found four strategies doctoral management students use to manage expectation knowledge after the COVID-19 pandemic. The strategies are codification, personalization, knowledge partnering, and knowledge harvesting. The research implications of this study provide a foundation for future research endeavors to advance the understanding and application of knowledge management strategies in the post-pandemic higher education landscape.

Abstract

This Community Service aims to digitize women's Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Sekoper Cinta (Sekolah Perempuan Capai Impian dan Cita-Cita) West Java. Sekoper Cinta is a non-formal school that exists to carry out special empowerment for women, one of which is through a vocational training program in e-commerce. However, only a small proportion of them can obtain it, while the participants in the Sekoper Cinta program in West Java totaled 34,900 women. Therefore, through this Community Service program, we aim to empower women. The stages of Community Service are preparation, initial evaluation, vocational training in e-commerce, mentoring, and final evaluation. The result achieved from this Community Service is an increase in the skills of participants in selling in online stores and on social media.

Abstract

This study examines the influence of halal-friendly attributes on visit intention, which is mediated by destination image and adoption of artificial intelligence (AI) in tourist destinations. This study addresses the inconsistencies in previous findings by proposing a comprehensive model that combines cultural and technological factors. This study involved 164 respondents who visited tourist destinations in Bekasi. The results showed that halal-friendly attributes significantly improved destination image, which positively influenced AI adoption and travel intention. The dual mediation effects of destination image and AI adoption provide insight into how these factors interact to shape tourists’ visit intention. This study contributes to the literature by offering empirical evidence supporting the integration of halal-friendly attributes with technological advancements to attract Muslim tourists. Penelitian ini menguji pengaruh atribut ramah halal terhadap niat berkunjung, yang dimediasi oleh citra destinasi dan adopsi kecerdasan buatan (AI) di destinasi wisata. Penelitian ini membahas ketidakkonsistenan dalam temuan sebelumnya dengan mengusulkan model komprehensif yang menggabungkan faktor budaya dan teknologi. Penelitian ini melibatkan 164 responden yang berkunjung ke destinasi wisata di Bekasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa atribut ramah halal secara signifikan meningkatkan citra destinasi, yang secara positif memengaruhi adopsi AI dan niat berkunjung. Efek mediasi ganda dari citra destinasi dan adopsi AI memberikan pemahaman tentang bagaimana faktor-faktor ini berinteraksi untuk membentuk niat berkunjung wisatawan. Studi ini berkontribusi pada literatur dengan menawarkan bukti empiris yang mendukung integrasi atribut ramah halal dengan kemajuan teknologi untuk menarik wisatawan Muslim.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan pelaku UMKM pengepul durian di Desa Sinapeul, Kecamatan Sindangwangi, Kabupaten Majalengka. Program ini melibatkan pelatihan manajemen keuangan dan operasional, penanganan pasca-panen, serta pendampingan strategi pemasaran berbasis media sosial. Hasil menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan dalam pemahaman peserta terhadap konsep manajemen keuangan, operasional, dan strategi pemasaran. Sebanyak 75% peserta dapat menerapkan manajemen operasional yang lebih efisien, 70% memahami teknik penanganan pasca-panen yang mengurangi kerusakan produk hingga 20%, dan 85% peserta aktif memanfaatkan media sosial untuk promosi, meningkatkan permintaan pasar hingga 20%. Program ini juga mendorong diversifikasi produk berbasis durian seperti pancake dan dodol. Kesimpulan menunjukkan bahwa pendekatan terarah melalui pelatihan dan pendampingan mampu meningkatkan daya saing UMKM di pasar lokal dan regional. Rekomendasi diberikan untuk mendukung keberlanjutan program, termasuk pelatihan lanjutan, optimalisasi teknologi digital, dan kolaborasi dengan pemerintah daerah serta perguruan tinggi.

Abstract

Children with Down Syndrome face various physical challenges, such as muscle weakness, vulnerability to illnesses, and lower IQ levels compared to typical children. These conditions require special attention from parents, who must learn how to handle and care for children with Down Syndrome from an early stage. However, many parents struggle to access adequate information and knowledge about caring for their children. This community service program aims to implement a Knowledge Management System (KMS) as a solution for handling children with Down Syndrome within the Association of Parents of Children with Down Syndrome (POTADS) in West Java. The program involves training and mentoring for POTADS administrators. Based on the evaluation results, the administrators of POTADS West Java have successfully utilized the KMS.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui bagaimana motif komunikasi masyarakat perkotaan di perumahan Bougenville Estate, tindakan komunikasi masyarakat perkotaan di perumahan Bougenville Estate dan makna komunikasi masyarakat perkotaan di perumahan Bougenville Estate. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi fenomenologi. Data diperoleh dengan melakukan observasi, wawancara dan studi dokumen terhadap 5 informan dan satu informan ahli. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa motif masyarakat untuk berkomunikasi didasarkan pada motif alasan dan motif untuk tujuan komunikasi. Motif nalar didasarkan pada faktor tempat tinggal dan sistem komunikasi organisasi yang dibangun oleh masyarakat baik formal maupun informal yang disampaikan secara langsung maupun melalui media sosial. Sedangkan motif tujuan karena kepentingan pribadi dan kepentingan organisasi. Tindakan orang dalam berkomunikasi tergantung pada motif orang dalam berkomunikasi, berdasarkan hasil penelitian ada empat macam dalam kehidupan sosial, pertama: tindakan komunikasi untuk menjaga hubungan, kedua: tindakan komunikasi memecahkan masalah, ketiga: tindakan komunikasi menciptakan masalah, keempat: tindakan komunikasi menciptakan masalah, keempat: orang yang tidak peduli dengan apa yang terjadi di lingkungannya. Makna komunikasi bagi masyarakat adalah perlunya komunikasi yang intens melalui dua jalur media, baik melalui media tatap muka maupun media virtual (seperti media sosial). Perlu adanya sikap saling menghargai, menghargai satu sama lain, bijak dalam menghadapi masalah, menilai masalah harus dilihat dari berbagai sudut pandang, pentingnya menjaga hubungan, sosialisasi dan komunikasi untuk menjaga silaturahmi dan menciptakan hubungan yang harmonis dengan orang lain agar kehidupan akan lebih berarti.
