Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of learning facilities on the learning outcomes of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) among eighth-grade students at SMPN 1 Telukjambe Barat. This research employed a quantitative approach with a survey method. The population consisted of all eighth-grade students totaling 235 students, with a sample of 148 students determined using the Slovin formula and the Simple Random Sampling technique. Data were collected through questionnaires and documentation. Data analysis was conducted using IBM SPSS Statistics 26, including validity testing, reliability testing, descriptive statistical analysis, normality testing, linearity testing, and regression analysis through curve estimation. The results showed that learning facilities were in the moderate category with a percentage of 72%. The learning outcomes of Islamic Religious Education were also in the moderate category with a percentage of 61%. The regression analysis indicated that learning facilities did not have a significant effect on PAI learning outcomes, with a significance value of 0.099 (>0.05) and a coefficient of determination (R Square) value of 0.021. This indicates that learning facilities contribute only 2.1% to learning outcomes, while 97.9% are influenced by other factors such as learning motivation, the role of teachers, family environment, learning interest, learning media, and student discipline. Therefore, learning facilities are not the main factor influencing PAI learning outcomes among eighth-grade students at SMPN 1 Telukjambe Barat.

Abstract

Low student interest in Islamic Religious Education subjects is one of the obstacles found in fifth-grade students at SDN Sukaharaja 3. This situation manifests as students' lack of attention during learning, rapid fatigue, and limited participation in educational activities. Strategies have been adopted to address this problem through the use of audiovisual materials that make the learning process more interesting and participatory. This study aims to investigate the use of audiovisual resources to increase the interest of fifth-grade students at SDN Sukaharaja 3. This study uses a Classroom Action Research (CAR) approach, which takes place in two cycles, each including the planning, implementation, observation, and reflection phases. Data collection is carried out through observation, testing, documentation, and assessment to measure student interest. The results of the study indicate that the use of audiovisual resources can increase student interest. In the first cycle, the average student engagement score reached 65% in the "sufficient" category, while in the second cycle it increased to 78% in the "good" catgory. Similarly, students' cognitive learning achievement also increased, obtaining an average score of 86, which is considered very good. The use of audiovisual materials encourages greater engagement, concentration, and enthusiasm in the educational process. Therefore, audiovisual media can be an effective alternative to increase students' interest and understanding in basic education.

Abstract

This study aimed to accelerate students' Qur'anic literacy skills through the implementation of a gamification-based Talaqqi method. The research was motivated by the ability gap among Grade 7G students at SMPN 1 Karawang Barat, where most students were still at the beginner level and experienced difficulties in makharij al-huruf accuracy, consistency of mad duration, and learning motivation. This study employed Classroom Action Research (CAR) conducted in two cycles. The subjects consisted of 42 students, and the research procedures included planning, action, observation, and reflection. The data collection instruments included observation sheets and a Qur'an reading skill assessment rubric. The results showed a significant improvement in students' Qur'anic literacy. The class average score increased sharply from 58 in Cycle I to 94 in Cycle II. By the end of the study, all 42 students (100%) had reached the Proficient (Mahir) level. The integration of gamification elements such as XP (Experience Points), leaderboards through the ScoreLeader website, and badges proved effective in increasing students' motivation, confidence, and mental resilience in learning the Qur'an. This study concludes that combining the disciplined traditional Talaqqi method with modern game elements can create an interactive and effective learning ecosystem for improving the quality of students' Qur'an recitation.

Abstract

ABSTRACT This study aimed to improve students’ participation and learning outcomes in Islamic Religious Education through the implementation of an interactive learning method in Grade IV of SDN Sukaharja 03 Karawang. The study was motivated by the low level of student engagement during the learning process, which contributed to unsatisfactory learning outcomes. The novelty of this study lies in the application of an interactive learning method that integrates discussion, group work, demonstrations, and learning quizzes to enhance both student participation and learning achievement in Islamic Religious Education at the elementary school level. The research employed a Classroom Action Research (CAR) design conducted in two cycles, each consisting of planning, action, observation, and reflection stages. The participants were Grade IV students of SDN Sukaharja 03 Karawang. Data were collected through observation, learning achievement tests, and documentation and were analyzed using descriptive quantitative and qualitative techniques. The findings revealed that the interactive learning method successfully increased students’ participation in asking and answering questions, engaging in discussions, and collaborating with peers during the learning process. Learning outcomes also improved, as indicated by the increase in the class average score from 70 in Cycle I to 81 in Cycle II, while the learning mastery rate increased from 44% to 97%. These findings indicate that the interactive learning method is effective in enhancing student participation and learning outcomes in Islamic Religious Education and can serve as an alternative instructional strategy to promote more active, participatory, and student-centered learning in elementary schools ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan partisipasi dan hasil belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran Pendidikan Agama Islam melalui penerapan metode pembelajaran interaktif di kelas IV SDN Sukaharja 03 Karawang. Abstract

Purpose of the Study: This study aims to improve the learning interest of Grade VA students in Islamic Cultural History (SKI) at MI Al-Umm through the implementation of the Make a Match cooperative learning model. The research addresses the persistent problem of low student engagement and participation in SKI learning, examining how a structured, interactive pairing strategy can foster greater enthusiasm, active involvement, and sustained interest in the subject matter. Methodology: This research employs Classroom Action Research (CAR) based on the Kemmis and McTaggart model, conducted across two cycles with two meetings in each cycle. The participants were 33 Grade VA students at MI Al-Umm. Data were collected through learning-interest questionnaires, observation sheets, documentation, and field notes. Quantitative data were analyzed using percentage techniques, while qualitative data were analyzed descriptively to capture changes in student participation and classroom dynamics throughout the intervention. Main Findings: The implementation of the Make a Match model led to a measurable improvement in students' interest in learning, rising from 69.4% in Cycle I to 80% in Cycle II. Observation results further indicated increased student participation, enthusiasm, and active engagement during learning activities. These findings demonstrate that the collaborative, game-based structure of the Make a Match model effectively stimulates motivation and creates a more participatory learning environment in Islamic Cultural History instruction. Novelty/Originality of this Study: This study provides practical evidence on the application of the Make a Match cooperative learning model in the specific context of Islamic Cultural History (SKI) at the elementary madrasah level, an area that remains underexplored in the existing literature. It offers a replicable, classroom-tested strategy for enhancing student learning interest in religious-historical subjects, providing a foundation for educators seeking active-learning alternatives to conventional, lecture-based SKI instruction.

Abstract

Purpose of the Study: This study aims to improve the motivation to learn of fifth-grade students in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) at SDN Telukjambe I by implementing the Numbered Heads Together (NHT) cooperative learning model. The research addresses the problem of low student motivation in PAI learning by examining how a structured, team-based numbering strategy can foster greater activity, responsibility, cooperation, confidence, and participation in the subject matter. Methodology: This research employs Classroom Action Research (CAR), involving researchers and teachers, conducted over two cycles, with two meetings in each cycle. The participants were 36 fifth-grade students at SDN Telukjambe I. Data were collected using observation sheets, learning motivation questionnaires, and cognitive-domain achievement tests. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, in which the mean and percentage of students' learning motivation scores were calculated to determine the category of motivation achieved. Main Findings: The implementation of the NHT model led to a measurable improvement in students' learning motivation, rising from an initial benchmark score of 79.4% (high) to 84.4% (high) in Cycle I and reaching 91.4% (very high) in Cycle II. These findings demonstrate that the collaborative, structured pattern of the NHT model effectively stimulates motivation and encourages students to be more active, responsible, cooperative, confident, and participatory in the learning process. Novelty/Originality of this Study: This study provides practical evidence on the application of the Numbered Heads Together (NHT) cooperative learning model in the specific context of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) at the elementary school level. It offers a replicable, classroom-tested strategy for enhancing students' motivation to learn in religious subjects, providing a foundation for educators seeking active-learning alternatives to conventional, lecture-based PAI instruction.

Abstract

This project aims to enhance students' learning outcomes in Tajwid (Quran recitation) by using a demonstration technique for Grade 5 at SDN Pasirkamuning I during the 2025/2026 academic year. The used approach was action research (PTK), grounded on the Kemmis and McTaggart framework, including the phases of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The research was carried out across two cycles involving 28 fifth-grade pupils. Data were gathered using both qualitative and quantitative descriptive methodologies. The results demonstrate that the demonstrative style was helpful in enhancing student engagement in Tajwid courses. Students exhibited heightened engagement, enhanced self-assurance, and improved comprehension of the rules governing the reading of “nun mati” and “tanwin” via direct recitation of the Quran. The average score in the first cycle was 80, accompanied by a success rate of 81%. During the second cycle, there was an improvement in student engagement and comprehension of Tajwid content, despite a success rate of 77%. The presentation approach provides a more experiential learning opportunity, facilitating students' comprehension of abstract subjects. This method enables instructors to cultivate a more interactive and stimulating learning atmosphere. Consequently, the demonstrative method may provide as a successful tool for enhancing children's Tajwid learning results in primary education.
