Abstract

This study aims to determine the growth of several sorghum varieties at different doses of manure in podzolic soil of East Kalimantan. This study used a two-factor experimental design made in a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with a 3 x 3 factorial pattern using three sorghum varieties (G1: Numbu, G2: BMR G5 line and G3: BMR G8 line), three treatments of manure doses (P0: without manure, P1: 10 tons ha-1, and P2: 20 tons ha-1) with three replications. The variable tested included plant height, stem diameter, leaf length, leaf width and number of leaves. There was an interaction between the use of 10 tons ha-1 manure on the Numbu sorghum variety which had a better effect on sorghum growth including plant height, stem diameter, leaf length and width (p<0.05). There were different results in the number of leaves, the BMR G5 variety without manure was higher than other combinations (p<0.05). The conclusion of this study indicates that fertilizer with a dose of 10 tons ha-1 on sorghum variety Numbu has better growth properties. Key words: fertilization, growth, manure, sorghum varieties

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of compensation (X1), leadership style (X2) and work discipline (X3) on employees performance (Y) in PT. Tirta Investama, Pondok Pinang. The samples were obtained by purposive sampling method, and selected 49 respondents as a sample. While the analysis of the data used in his research include: quality test, classic assumption test, multiple liner regression analysis and hypotheses test. Results partial significance test (t statistic test) of the analysis and discussion research shows that: 1) compensation, with tvalue 0,536 <ttabel 1,677 and significant value of 0,595. By using the limit of significance of 0,05, then 0,595 > 0,05. This means that compensation (X1) had no a significant influence on performance employees partially. 2) leadership style, with tvalue 3,718 >ttabel 1,677 and significant value of 0,001. By using the limit of significance of 0,05, then 0,001 < 0,05. This means that leadership style (X2) had a significant influence on performance employees partially. 3) work dicipline, with tvalue 3,949 > ttabel 1,677 and significant value of 0,000. By using the limit of significance of 0,05, then 0,000 < 0,05. This means that work discipline (X3) had a significant influence on performance employees partially. While results simultaneous significance test (F statistic test) shows that Fvalue 10,632 > Ftabel 2,79. This means that the variables of compensation (X1), leadership style (X2) and work discipline (X3) simultaneously had significant influence on employees performance (Y).

Abstract

Rice bran is a by-product of brown rice milling process. The aim of this study was to determine the effect of fermentation on the changes of total phenolic content, antioxidant activity, and bioactive components in rice bran with the combination of defatting treatment. Coloured rice bran (white, red, and black) was used in this study. Total phenolic content (TPC) and antioxidant activity were analysed with Folin-Ciocalteau and DPPH radical scavenging activity (RSA) method, respectively. Bioactive component of rice bran was analysed by HPLC. The highest TPC and RSA were shown on defatted and fermented white rice bran (288.18±2.52 mg GAE/100 g DB and 67.95±0.75%, respectively). The highest γ-oryzanol content and ferulic acid were shown in non-defatted fermented black rice bran and defatted fermented black rice bran with 24.83 mg/g and 1.45 mg/g sampel, respectively. The results of this study indicated that the fermentation treatment could increase the bioactive component of rice bran. Furthermore, combination of defatting and fermentation was only effective on white rice bran.

Abstract

Organic food relies on consumer confidence as the driver of its buying process. Generally, consumers purchase it directly to ensure its organic guarantee. The increasing purchase of agricultural products and organic food online in Indonesia shows consumer confidence in organic products sold in e-commerce. These studies aimed to determine the driving factors of purchasing organic food through online retailing, the types of organic food purchased, and the relationship between consumer motivation and purchasing decisions. This study uses a cross-sectional method with a purposive sampling technique, and the data is processed using SPSS with General Linear Model analysis. The results from 102 respondents in Indonesia showed that convenience, practicality, and time efficiency as the biggest motivation of consumers (85.30%). On the other hand, pleasure is the slightest consumer motivation (1.0%). Vegetables and processed seeds/nuts are widely purchased as fresh and processed organic foods. The relationship between consumer motivation and online purchasing decisions is that both variables affect one another. The consumer motivation driving factors are diverse product variants, attractive packaging, organic labels, nutritional value, discounts, time efficiency in purchasing, easy-to-find online stores, and advertising. Affordable prices do not motivate consumers to purchase organic food online. Therefore, organic food consumers in Indonesia purchase products through online retailing for convenience.

Abstract

This research aims to describe students' conceptual change abilities. This research uses a descriptive method. The research subjects were 22 students at MA Alkhairaat Biromaru class X MIPA. The research instrument uses 5 concept questions about relative motion, distance and displacement, GLB, GLBB and GJB with 1 question each. The N-Gain test carried out on the concept change test showed that there were differences in resultspretest andPosttest based on test N-Gain is 65.23% in the medium category. Conceptual Change Capability of the pra concepts constructed by students from the experience gained, most of which are not in accordance with scientific concepts. From the 5 items regarding concepts about movement, it can be seen that the students' pretest results (pre-concept abilities) are still very low. To carry out the process of changing students' preconcepts, it is necessary to use an approach or learning model that involves the process of Assimilation and Accommodation in the learning process, because changing students' pra concepts requires a cognitive conflict that is able to convince students that their initial knowledge (pra concepts) has been constructed into knowledge. science can be replaced with correct and appropriate concepts.

Abstract

The Islamic conception of knowledge does not limit knowledge about reality to that obtained through experimentation and theoretical reasoning only. Natural knowledge that is understood does not just answer human desires if we can accommodate revelation and intuition, including the spiritual and physical aspects of humans and the cosmos. Understanding the integration of Islamic values ​​in natural science (science) learning is implied in the Qur'an. The Koran does not conflict between science and religion. In fact, in many of His verses it is emphasized that humans should always think about events in nature to strengthen their religious beliefs. Science in this case is also not a separate part of religion. Science is an integral part of the Islamic religion. The Koran states that science, like the science of human life, is an integral part of religion. Science teaches humans how to manage nature, carry out various processes, and produce things for life's needs. Meanwhile, religion teaches humans about value systems. Religion teaches the value of piety towards the Khaliq and the value of kindness towards others.

Abstract

Jumlah penduduk Kelurahan Paria sebanyak 2.496 jiwa dengan 864 kepala keluarga. Kelurahan Paria memiliki luas wilayah kurang lebih 12,22 Km². Dilakukan penyuluhan hukum sengketa tanah di Kelurahan Paria Kab.Wajo, yang diikuti oleh 25 orang dari berbagai kalangan masyarakat. Hasil wawancara dengan Lurah Paria bahwa masyarakat Kelurahan Paria sebagian besar masih menganut penyelesaian sengketa secara kekeluargaan yang dimediasi oleh lurah setempat, perangkat kelurahan dan tokoh masyarakat, tokoh agama untuk musyawarah dengan mempertemukan kedua belah pihak bersengketa agar terciptanya mufakat. Hingga saat ini belum ada masyarakat menempuh penyelesaian sengketa tanah yang dilakukan melalui jalur litigasi atau pengadilan. Meski begitu, masyarakat Kelurahan Paria Kab. Wajo tetap membutuhkan penyuluhan hukum terkait tanah, sengketa tanah dan penyelesaiannya sebagai langkah preventif untuk mencegah potensi terjadinya sengketa tanah di masa datang serta meningkatkan pemahaman masyarakat terkait hukum agraria, hukum pertanahan terkait hukum hak atas tanah (HPAT) dan hukum sengketa tanah serta penyelesaian sengketa tanah.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the principal's strategy in fostering student discipline and what are the supporting and inhibiting factors. This research approach is qualitative with a descriptive qualitative research format. The data sources for this study were the principal, vice principal for student affairs and homeroom teachers. Data collection techniques were in the form of observation, interviews and documentation. The results of this study are the principal's strategy in fostering student discipline. The results of this study are the principal's strategy in fostering student discipline, namely. a) Enforcing clear rules consistently and comprehensively which are marked by several clear rules posted in the classroom and understanding what is prohibited in the school. b) Providing examples and behaving positively at school such as arriving on time, dressing neatly when entering the classroom, and picking up and shaking hands with students in the morning. c) Availability of counseling services carried out by BK in fostering student discipline character such as direct guidance to students who violate and home visits. d) Giving awards and rewards to students who excel, exemplary students, and inspired students during the flag ceremony. e) Parent-student association program and community policing involvement in fostering student discipline such as using a perspective approach. The inhibiting factor is a strong environmental change because students come from different family backgrounds.

Abstract

Mediasi sebagai alternatif penyelesaian sengketa waris menawarkan pendekatan yang inovatif dan sesuai dengan prinsip-prinsip hukum Islam di Indonesia dan Malaysia. Sengketa waris dalam konteks keluarga Islam sering kali melibatkan konflik yang kompleks, baik secara hukum maupun emosional. Mediasi, sebagai metode penyelesaian sengketa, memberikan solusi yang lebih harmonis dan efisien dibandingkan proses litigasi yang dapat memakan waktu dan sumber daya. Di Indonesia, di mana hukum waris Islam diintegrasikan dengan hukum nasional, mediasi melibatkan mediator yang memahami baik aspek hukum Islam maupun kearifan lokal. Pendekatan ini memungkinkan penyelesaian sengketa yang tidak hanya adil tetapi juga sesuai dengan norma-norma budaya dan agama. Sementara itu, di Malaysia, mediasi waris juga dilaksanakan dalam kerangka hukum Islam, melibatkan pihak berwenang seperti Jabatan Agama Islam serta mediator profesional. Proses ini mengutamakan musyawarah dan kesepakatan bersama, yang mengurangi ketegangan dan memastikan keadilan bagi semua pihak yang terlibat. Penelitian ini mengkaji efektivitas mediasi dalam penyelesaian sengketa waris di kedua negara, mengidentifikasi tantangan yang dihadapi serta manfaat yang diperoleh. Temuan menunjukkan bahwa mediasi tidak hanya menawarkan solusi yang lebih cepat dan efektif tetapi juga memperkuat hubungan sosial dan kekompakan keluarga. Namun, keberhasilan mediasi sangat tergantung pada kompetensi mediator dalam memahami hukum waris Islam dan kemampuan mereka untuk memfasilitasi dialog yang konstruktif.
