Abstract

A sustainable work environment is pivotal in enhancing employee productivity, particularly in the port sector, which faces high occupational risks and complex operational demands. This study aims to analyze the impact of occupational health and safety (OHS) and the work environment on employee productivity at Pelabuhan Indonesia PT (Persero) II, Tanjung Pandan Branch. A quantitative approach was employed using a survey method with structured questionnaires completed by 37 respondents, analyzed through Structural Equation Modeling-Partial Least Square (SEM-PLS). The research variables included OHS dimensions (workplace conditions, safe behaviors, psychological atmosphere) and work environment factors (lighting, air temperature, noise, workspace, safety). The analysis revealed that OHS significantly influences productivity (p < 0.05), with a greater contribution from the psychological atmosphere dimension than other technical aspects. The work environment also positively affects productivity, with lighting and workplace safety emerging as the most significant contributors to fostering a supportive work atmosphere. These findings underscore the importance of a conducive work environment, supported by employee security and comfort, in boosting motivation and operational efficiency. The study’s social implications highlight that investments in OHS programs and workplace improvements enhance productivity, foster harmonious workplace relationships, reduce conflicts, and strengthen employees’ social well-being. Together, these variables account for 68% of the variance in employee productivity, emphasizing the critical role of OHS and work environment management in improving operational efficiency. This study offers practical recommendations to strengthen OHS programs through regular training, stringent supervision, and infrastructure enhancements that ensure employee comfort. These results are expected to reference other local ports in developing policies integrating workplace safety and environmental management to achieve sustainable productivity.

Abstract

Startupreneurs increasingly rely on technology to manage their business, especially in using e-commerce applications and digital business marketing strategies. This research investigates the influence of e-commerce applications and digital business marketing on startup entrepreneur performance. The research method used is an online survey of 150 startup entrepreneurs in Indonesia who are active in various industries. Data was collected using a questionnaire that measures the level of use of e-commerce applications, digital business marketing practices, and startupreneur performance based on factors such as revenue growth, customer satisfaction, and market visibility. The results of the analysis show that the use of e-commerce applications has a significant favourable influence on startupreneur performance. Startupreneurs who actively use e-commerce applications tend to have higher revenue growth and better levels of customer satisfaction. Additionally, digital business marketing strategies were also found to positively affect startup business performance, especially in increasing market visibility and broader market penetration. This research makes an essential contribution to understanding how technology and digital marketing strategies can help improve startupreneur performance. The practical implication of this research is the importance of integrating e-commerce applications and digital business marketing in startup business growth strategies. Steps to improve startupreneur performance could involve investing in digital technology and improving skills in managing online marketing strategies.

Abstract

Training of the Mosque Prosperity Council (DKM) with a focus on online business development. This activity aims to equip DKM administrators to develop business units for economic independence in running online businesses and their impact on the welfare of the people. the research was conducted online by involving administrators from the Al-Amanah Kujang Mosque DKM. The research was conducted online by involving administrators from Al-Amanah Kujang Mosque, Jl. Tongkeng Dalam No. 48 Merdeka Sumur Bandung, including material on Digital-Based Indomie Warung Business Model, Use of Social Media to Increase Sales and Digital-Based Indomie Ramen Warung Financial Recording. The results showed a significant increase in the knowledge and skills of DKM administrators in running an online business after attending the training. Prior to the evaluation, the training participants were asked to create an Indomie-based online business unit based on products or services managed by the mosque. The online business is expected to provide additional income for the mosque that is used for DKM.DKM training on online business development is proven to be effective in empowering DKM administrators for economic independence and improving the welfare of the people. This approach can be applied more widely by considering the potential and characteristics of each mosque.

Abstract

This research examines sustainable tourism in Indonesia, focusing on Ergo Green Tourism, a model that integrates ergonomic principles with green tourism. With the tourism sector significant economic contribution, there is a growing need for a model that balances environmental sustainability with tourist comfort. The research aims to evaluate the Ergo Green Tourism model by analyzing the relationships between Environmental Green Knowledge, Green Marketing, and Environmental Protection in promoting sustainability and improving tourism performance in Indonesia. A quantitative approach using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) was employed. Data was gathered from MSMEs in key Indonesian tourist destinations through structured questionnaires and in-depth interviews, combining both quantitative and qualitative insights. The findings show that environmental protection and environmental knowledge positively influence green marketing, Ergo Green Tourism, and sustainability. Furthermore, green marketing significantly enhances the development of Ergo Green Tourism. This research highlights the importance of integrating green and ergonomic practices into tourism. It provides actionable insights for stakeholders, including MSMEs and policymakers, and suggests further research to refine the model and assess its long-term impact across different regions in Indonesia.

Abstract

The exponential growth of the Web of Things (IoT) is transforming businesses, connecting billions of devices that generate massive amounts of data. However, preparing this data at scale in real time poses significant challenges, including inactivity, transmission capacity constraints, and data blocking in centralized cloud systems. Edge computing has become an urgent solution. It allows data preparation to occur closer to the source, thereby improving operational productivity, reducing idle time, and optimizing transmission capacity. This shift toward local availability reduces the burden on centralized cloud systems, making IoT systems more responsive and robust. This article examines the integration of edge computing with IoT. It highlights the fundamental advances that have made this connection possible. Key applications, such as real-time analytics, vision support, and edge AI, describe how edge computing improves data processing and enhances independent decision-making at the device level. Additionally, we discuss how advances in hardware, orchestration techniques, and machine learning drive the development of edge-enabled IoT environments. By analyzing these current uses, we identify emerging trends that will shape future IoT systems, making them more adaptive, efficient, and resilient to changing data demands. This survey highlights the potential of edge computing to power next-generation IoT systems, providing important insights for businesses looking to support complete control of the devices involved.

Abstract

The increasing complexity of organizational environments necessitates a deeper understanding of how management scope and Human Resource (HR) strategies interact to enhance organizational effectiveness. This study examines the integration of management functions and HR practices to address critical gaps in optimizing performance, particularly in dynamic and resource constrained settings. Using the SmartPLS methodology, empirical data was analyzed to evaluate the influence of management scope dimensions and HR strategies on organizational performance. The findings reveal that aligning HR strategies with well defined management functions significantly enhances adaptability, operational efficiency, and employee engagement. Specifically, strategic planning enables organizations to respond effectively to market disruptions, while efficient resource allocation fosters collaboration and productivity. However, challenges such as misaligned priorities, resistance to change, and resource limitations pose significant barriers to successful integration. Addressing these issues through adaptive leadership and innovative management approaches strengthens resilience and promotes sustainable growth. The study underscores the critical role of management HR alignment in leveraging human capital as a competitive advantage. By bridging theoretical frameworks with practical applications, this research provides valuable insights for managers seeking to navigate complex organizational dynamics. The findings highlight the importance of integrating management and HR strategies to foster long term organizational resilience and performance in rapidly evolving business landscapes.

Abstract

 Riset ini bertujuan untuk menyelesaikan atau mengisi gap riset yangdilakukan oleh peneliti terdahulu terkait Pembangunan wisata berkelanjutan. Risetini mengunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan teknik survey terhadap 50 orangrespon yang dilakasanakn selama cuti bersama April 2024 di objek wisata pulauBelitung. Riset ini menemukan bahwa tiktok, natural, tidak ada tambahan biaya,kuliner halal menjadi poin penting bagi wisatawan ketika memutuskan untukberwisata. menyelaraskan pengembangan objek wisata dengan nilai-nilai ini,destinasi dapat meningkatkan kepuasan pengunjung, melestarikan warisan budayadan alam, mendorong keterlibatan masyarakat lokal, serta mempromosikanpraktik pariwisata yang bertanggung jawab dan berkelanjutan. Untuk mencapairesonansi ini, pengembangan destinasi wisata harus melibatkan pemangkukepentingan lokal, mengadopsi pendekatan berbasis tempat, menerapkan prinsipdesain yang ergonomis dan ramah lingkungan, menafsirkan warisan budaya danalam secara otentik, serta memantau dan mengelola dampak pariwisata resonansiobjek wisata dengan nilai ergo-ikonik dapat menciptakan pengalaman wisata yangbermakna dan berkontribusi pada pembangunan pariwisata yang berkelanjutan.

Abstract

 Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui gaya kepemimpinan yangditerapkan di PT. Samudera Lautan Luas. Penelitian ini dilakukan denganmenggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif dalam pengumpulandata. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa gaya kepemimpinan yang diterapkan diPT. Samudera Luatan Luas adalah gaya demokratis. Hal ini dapat dilihat daripendekatan antara pimpinan dan bawahan dalam menjalankan tugas-tugasnya.Selain itu kebebasan berpendapat yang diberikan kepada seluruh karyawan jugamembuat karyawan merasa dihargai dan diberi kepercayaan akan tanggung jawabnya masing-masing. Dengan diberikannya pelatihan yang berfungsi untukmeningkatkan kinerja karyawan itu sendiri akan memberikan dampak yang baikdalam mencapai tujuan perusahaan. Selain itu dengan diadakannya evaluasimelalui rapat kinerja juga memudahkan para pimpinan serta karyawan untukmengevaluasi kinerja satu sama lain guna tercapainya tujuan suatu perusahaan.Selain itu, pimpinan juga memberikan reward atau bonus ketika para kinerjakaryawan dapat mencapai target yang diinginkan oleh perusahaan. Hal ini dapatmemberikan rasa semangat kepada karyawan untuk terus berkembang dalammeningkatkan kualitas kinerja karyawan itu sendiri maupun kualitas kinerja nyaterhadap perusahaan. Pimpinan juga tidak ada membeda-bedakan dari segi kinerjakepada antar karyawan karena untuk meningkatkan suatu kualitas kinerja tetapdibutuhkan nya kerja sama.

Abstract

 Karier yang baik pastinya diinginkan oleh banyak orang, akan tetapi,cara untuk mencapai karier impian terkadang tidak semudah memimpikannya.Banyak orang mencoba untuk memulai kariernya dengan mengikuti programmagang, entah itu dibayar ataupun tidak. Isu mengenai program magang tidakdibayar atau unpaid internship merupakan hal yang ramai dibicarakanbelakangan. Di mana meskipun tidak memberikan benefit berupa uang, masihbanyak peserta magang yang berminat untuk mengikuti program tersebut.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mencari tahu bagaimana pengaruh program unpaidinternship terhadap kepuasan kerja karyawan khususnya generasi Z. Metodepenelitian yang digunakan adalah tinjauan literatur didukung dengan surveikualitatif deskriptif kepada 5 orang partisipan. Data hasil survei dianalisis dengancara menghubungkannya dengan faktor-faktor yang memengaruhi kepuasan kerja.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa partisipan merasa puas dalam mengikutiprogram magangnya karena mereka merasa diberikan benefit yang baik untukmemulai kariernya seperti mendapatkan pengalaman kerja secara langsung, dapatmengembangkan keterampilannya, serta memperoleh berbagai wawasan seputardunia kerja.
