Abstract

This research aims to identify the physicochemical characteristics and pathogenic antibacterial activity of papaya leaf extract liquid soap (Carica Papaya L.). The sample used was papaya leaf extract whose mass was varied. The data acquisition process was obtained from the results of physicochemical testing of liquid soap formulations and from the results of antibacterial activity tests. This research began by extracting the sample using maceration technique. The extract was then formulated to be the liquid soap formulation 1, 2 and 3 with various masses i.e. three, four and five grams of extract, respectively. The physicochemical test showed that the organoleptic test, pH test, foam height test, specific gravity test, water content test and free alkali test met the SNI physical quality standards for liquid soap and the antibacterial activity test carried out on S. aureus and E. coli bacteria was obtained for S. aureus bacteria. formulations 1, 2 and 3 produce resistance of 2.06 mm, 2.21 mm and 2.46 mm respectively. Meanwhile, for E. coli bacteria, the inhibitory power produced by formulations 1, 2 and 3 was 2.84 mm, 3.41 mm and 3.71 mm, respectively. Based on the results of this research, it can be concluded that the liquid soap formulation from papaya leaf extract meets the physical standards for liquid soap quality according to SNI and has antibacterial activity.

Abstract

Based on BNPB data, there has been landslide disaster due to abrasion that caused bridge and houses collapse in Amurang, South Minahasa on June 15, 2022. On geological map, the Amurang area classified as volcanic rock that is suspected to be Tondano’s Tuff when it exploded and formed Tondano’s Caldera. BMKG, in this case the Manado Geophysics Station, conducted a microtremor survei and analysed the data of the survei results using the Horizontal to Vertical Spectral Ratio (HVSR) method. This method can determine the value of the natural frequency and amplification of the soil which can be used to classify the soil at the survei location. The result show that the disaster area in Amurang is an alluvial rock formation formed from deltaic sedimentation, topsoil, mud, etc. with a depth of 30 meters or more. It does not match the classification given by the 1997 geological map. Keywords : natural frequency, HVSR, classification

Abstract

This study is a research and development of ICARE-based chemistry e-modules that aims to determine the feasibility of e-modules, student responses, and improvement of student learning outcomes. The development model used is analysis, design, development, implementation, evaluation (ADDIE). The research was conducted at SMA Negeri 2 Seluma from January to August 2022. The subjects of this study were X IPA 2 and X IPA 3 students in the 2022/2023 school year who were selected based on simple random sampling techniques with a population of 3 classes, which were then tested for normality and homogeneity so that normal and homogeneous classes were obtained, namely X IPA 2 class for small group tests and X IPA 3 for large group tests. The instruments in this study were interview sheets, validation sheets, student response questionnaires, and tests. From the results obtained (1) ICARE-based chemistry e-modules were declared very feasible by media and material experts with a percentage of 98.88% media aspects and 91.25% material aspects, (2) Student responses to ICARE-based chemistry e-modules were in the very good category with an average percentage of 90.23%, and (3) After using ICARE-based chemistry e-modules on redox reaction material, there has been an increase in student learning outcomes as measured by an average N-gain score of 0.69 on moderate criteria. The results of the development of ICARE-based chemistry e-modules are very feasible to use in the learning process and proven to improve student learning outcomes. Abstract

Classroom Action Research (CAR) aims to improve learning outcomes and student engagement by utilizing the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) instructional model in Class X MIPA 1 at SMAN 9 in Bengkulu City. The CAR was conducted in May 2023 over 2 cycles. Each cycle comprises 1 session, spanning 3 instructional hours (3 x 45 minutes). The phases of each cycle commence with observations to diagnose issues, followed by design, implementation, event observation, evaluation, and reflection. Based on the results of the conducted data analysis, it was determined that the application of the PBL learning model was able to demonstrate an increase in learning outcomes and student engagement in Cycle 2. The average student learning outcomes improved from 77.66% to 59.38%, accompanied by an increase in the percentage of students achieving competency, from 85.47% to 81.25%. Student participation during the learning process also saw an increase in Cycle 2. Student engagement rose from 66.74% in the moderate category to 78.28% in the high category. Abstract

This study aimed to determine the feasibility level of, students’ response, level of students’ understanding of the electronic module based on creative thinking skills using 3D Page Flip Professional on Hydrocarbon subject at SMAIT IQRA'Bengkulu City. This type of research is R&D (Research and Development) which used 3 of the 4 stages of the 4D (Four D) development model included Define, Design and Development. The data of this study were obtained from a validation questionnaire from material and media experts, the results of small-scale trials, large-scale trial results, student response questionnaires and students' level of understanding of the developed electronic module. The feasibility level of the electronic module is based on material expert validation of 93.18% which states that the quality of the material in the electronic module is feasible from the material aspect and based on creative thinking skills, the validation of media experts is 97.20% which states that the display quality on the electronic module is appropriate from the media aspect, the small scale trial was 92.47% which stated that the discourse on the was easy to understand. Students’ response to the module in the field implementation test was 93.92% which stated that students gave a very good response to the developed electronic module and the level of student understanding based on the N-Gain Score of 0.37 was in the medium category. This showed that the electronic module based on creative thinking skills using 3D Page Flip Professional on hydrocarbon subject is very suitable to be used as teaching material in the learning process.

Abstract

This study aims to develop a web-based colloid system teaching materials assisted by exe-learning applications. The development model used was the 4-D (Four-D) model which consists of the define, design, develop and disseminate stages. The research was conducted at SMA Negeri 2 Bengkulu Utara with the research subjects being 12 students of class XI MIPA 2 for the small-scale trial, and 34 students of grade XI MIPA 3 for the large-scale trial. The instruments used were interview sheets, questionnaires, material and media validation sheets, student and teacher response questionnaires, and pretest and posttest sheets. The results of this study indicate that the web-based colloid system teaching materials are very feasible by media experts and material experts with a percentage of 93.13% of media aspect and 86.42% of material aspect, student responses to web-based colloid system teaching materials are in the category of very good with an average percentage of 89.56%. Learning outcomes after using teaching materials developed increased with an average N-gain score of 0.67 on the medium criteria and the teacher's response to web-based colloid system teaching materials was in the very good category with an average percentage an average of 93.23%.

Abstract

Pernikahan atau perkawinan merupakan suatu perbuatan hukum yang pastinya menimbulkan akibat hukum, yaitu adanya hak dan kewajiban dari semua anggota keluarga. Salah satu kewajiban tersebut adalah kewajiban seorang anak untuk memberikan nafkah kepada orang tua baik anak sah maupun anak luar nikah. Kewajiban nafkah ini telah diatur baik dalam mazhab Syafi’i. Selain itu dalam hukum positif melalui Undang-Undang No. 1 Tahun 1974 pasal 46 ayat 2. Juga Undang-Undang Nomor 23 Tahun 2004 pasal 49. Fokus penelitian ini adalah komparasi mazhab Syafi’i dan hukum positif yang dituangkan dalam persamaan dan perbedaan mengenai kewajiban anak luar nikah menafkahi orang tua. Penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian kualitatif, yaitu penelitian terhadap literatur-literatur yang berkaitan dengan kewajiban anak luar nikah menafkahi kedua orang tuanya di masa tuanya. Sumber data terdiri dari data primer dan sekunder, yaitu data yang digunakan adalah kitab-kitab mazhab Syafi’i. Selain itu sebagai data primer untuk hukum positif yaituUndang-Undang No. 1 Tahun 1974 tentang Perkawinan dan Undang-Undang Nomor 23 Tahun 2004 tentang Penghapusan Kekerasan Dalam Rumah Tangga. Sedangkan data sekunder antara lain adalah kitab-kitab fiqih dan buku-buku hukum dan literatur lainnya. Data hasil penelitian dari sumber-sumber tersebut kemudian menggunakan metode content analysys dan komparatif. Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa baik dari tinjauan hukum mazhab Syafi’i maupun hukum positif mewajibkan seorang anak luar nikah untuk memberikan nafkah kepada orang tua. Terdapat komparasi (perbandingan) yang dituangkan dalam persamaan dan perbedaannya. Persamaan, pertama, kewajiban nafkah kepada orang tua baik dalam mazhab Syafi’i maupun hukum positif sama-sama dibebankan kepada anak, baik laki-laki dan perempuan. Kedua, dalam hal jenis nafkah sama-sama merupakan kebutuhan pokok bagi orang tua. Ketiga, baik mazhab Syafi’imaupun hukum positif menganggap bahwa kewajiban anak menafkahi orang tua merupakan kewajiban moral sebagai bentuk dari timbal balik pemeliharaan orang tua serta salah satu bukti berbuat baik kepada orang tua.

Abstract

ABSTRAK   Penelitian ini memiliki tujuan untuk meningkatkan aktivitas belajar dan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa kelas X dalam pembelajaran kimia melalui model problem based learning (PBL). Dilaksanakan pada Februari - Maret 2023 sebanyak tiga siklus dengan tahapan penelitian ini yaitu: 1) perencanaan, 2) pelaksanaan dan observasi, 3) refleksi. Jumlah  sampel penelitian adalah 32 siswa. Metode pengumpulan data meliputi penggunaan lembar observasi untuk memperoleh informasi aktivitas belajar siswa dan tes essay untuk mengumpulkan data kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa. Teknik deskriptif kualitatif dan kuantitatif dijadikan teknik untuk analisis data. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, aktivitas belajar siswa meningkat dengan rata-rata siklus I sebesar 69%, siklus II sebesar 75%, dan siklus III sebesar 82%. Setiap siklus diperoleh kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa yang mencapai 50,05% pada siklus I, 61,67% pada siklus II, dan 66,49% pada siklus III. Menurut temuan, penggunaan model PBL pada pembelajaran kimia mendorong peningkatan aktivitas siswa dan keterampilan berfikir kritis dalam kegiatan pembelajaran abad ke-21.   Kata kunci: aktivitas belajar, keterampilan berfikir kritis, pembelajaran abad ke-21, problem based learning   ABSTRACT   The reasearch are aimed at recognizing increased learning activities and critical thought capabilities of high school x - school students on chemical learning using the problem based learning model. The study is conducted as many as three cycles with the stages of planning, execution, observation, and reflection. Research time was carried out in February - March 2023. There were 32 students in the study samples. Data gathering techniques through test instruments learn to pick up data of students' critical thinking skill sand observation sheets to pick up data of students' learning activities. Data analysis uses qualitative and quantitative descriptive techniques. Research shows that there is an increase in student learning activity with a 69% average percentage of the I cycles, 75% of the II and 82% of the cycle III. Whereas whereas the attainment of critical thinking skills of the students at 50.05% of the I cycles, 61.67% of the cycles, and the III's 66.49%. This data shows that there has been an improvement in critical thinking skills and student learning activities at 21st-century learning using problem based learning models in chemical subjects.   Keywords: Learning activities, Chritical thinking skill, 21st century, problem based learning

Abstract

Penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK) bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan pendekatan Teaching at the Right Level (TaRL) dengan berbasis Problem base learning (PBL) terhadap hasil belajar dan aktivitas pembelajaran yang dilihat dari kegiatan yang dilakukan peserta didik. Pengunaan model pembelajaran secara PBL dimaksudkan agar peserta didik lebih berperan dalam memecahkan masalah secara aktif dan kolaboratif. Pembagian kelompok didasarkan pada pendekatan TaRL dengan membagi kelompok homogen berdasarkan hasil belajar peserta didik. PTK ini dilakukan di SMAN 9 Kota Bengkulu pada bulan Mei 2023 dengan 2 siklus. Pelaksanaan PTK dalam satu siklus menerapkan alur dimulai dari diagnosis masalah, tindakan perancangan, tindakan pelaksanaan dan observasi kejadian, evaluasi, dan refleksi. Pada hasil siklus 2 hasil belajar dan aktivitas peserta didik mengalami peningkatan mencapai hasil yang telah diharapkan. Berdasarkan analisa data yang telah dilakukan di dapatkan hasil kenaikan rata-rata kelas dari 70,00 menjadi 83,44 dengan persentase ketuntasan peserta didik dari 56,25% meningkat menjadi 84,375% pada siklus kedua. Penggunaan pendekatan TaRL juga memiliki pengaruhi pada hasil belajar dan proses pembelajaran. Peserta didik yang berada pada kelompok kemampuan belajar kimia lebih rendah dapat meningkat hasil rata-rata kelompok menyamai kelompok yang memiliki kemampuan belajar kimia di atasnya. Perubahan aktivitas peserta didik pada siklus 2 mengalami kenaikan dari 69,44% dengan kategori baik menjadi 91,67% dengan kategori baik sekali. ABSTRACT Class action research (CAR) aims to determine the effect of using the Teaching at the Right Level (TaRL) approach based on Problem Base Learning (PBL) on learning outcomes and learning activities, as seen from the activities carried out by students. The PBL learning model intends students to play a more active and collaborative role in solving problems. The division of groups was based on the TaRL approach, which divides homogeneous groups based on student learning outcomes. This PTK was conducted in SMAN 9 Bengkulu City in May 2023 with two cycles. Implementing PTK in one cycle applies a flow starting with problem diagnosis, action planning, action implementation, event observation, evaluation, and reflection. In the results of cycle 2, the learning outcomes and activities of the students increased to achieve the expected results. Based on the data analysis that has been conducted, the class average increases from 70.00 to 83.44, with the percentage of student completeness increasing from 56.25% to 84.375% in the second cycle. Using the TaRL approach also influences the learning outcomes and learning process. Students in the lower chemistry learning ability group can increase their average group results to match those with higher chemistry learning abilities. Changes in student activity in Cycle 2 increased from 69.44% in the excellent category to 91.67% in the outstanding category.

Abstract

The Omicron variant of the severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) virus is an extremely contagious variant that has garnered global attention due to its potential for rapid spread and its impact on the effectiveness of vaccines and non-pharmacological measures. In this paper, we investigate mathematical models involving vaccinated individuals and control functions to analyze how the spread of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) infection evolves over time. In the process of constructing a mathematical model for COVID-19, there are many parameters whose values are not yet known with certainty. Therefore, the extended Kalman filter method is used as a tool to estimate these parameters in an effort to better understand the dynamics of the spread and evolution of this disease. This method helps align the mathematical model with existing empirical data, allowing us to make more accurate predictions about the course of the COVID-19 pandemic and plan more precise actions to address the situation. Furthermore, an optimal control design is applied to reduce the number of infected individuals by implementing seven strategies involving a combination of health education, vaccination, and isolation controls. The simulation results we conducted indicate that the use of optimal control strategies can lead to a significant decrease in the number of individuals infected with COVID-19.
