Abstract

In 2023, UNNES won the Most Sustainable University award at the UI Greenmetric World University ranking event. This is the 5th national ranking out of a total of 145 universities and the 37th world ranking out of a total of 1,183 universities in the world. This achievement is proof of UNNES' consistency as a conservation-oriented university. In line with this commitment, each lecturer in the study program develops various research related to work based on sustainability. One of the things that is being created is using natural dyes in textile products. Natural dyes from Mahogany bark (Swietenia mahagoni) have the potential to be a source of natural dyes. Data from the UNNES Conservation Development Agency notes that there are 12,320 Mahogany trees around the UNNES campus. This means that the availability of Mahogany trees is very large if used as a natural dye. With this potential, a problem identification was carried out, then it was found that many housewives needed skills to support family income. This was found in the Kalisegoro Village community group. Thus, training and education will be carried out by providing skills in the form of ecoprint training for the PKK mothers' group in Kalisegoro Village. It is hoped that women can become the pillars of poverty alleviation, especially for their families. The output targets in this program are national journal publications, information to print or online media, and video profiles of activity implementation.

Abstract

The normalization of forced marriage as a response to adolescents' involvement in behaviors perceived by their communities as socially or religiously inappropriate, such as premarital interactions or relationships beyond culturally sanctioned norms, may result in complex and disproportionate consequences for the adolescents involved. This study addresses gaps in prior research by exploring the characteristics of these cases, the prevailing community interpretations, and the rationale behind legitimizing forced marriage as a form of moral resolution. The findings highlight three key insights. First, forced marriage is often constructed as a culturally informed response to situations involving behaviors considered socially sensitive. Second, People commonly understand such practices as preserving family honor and fulfilling communal or religious expectations. Third, these responses are typically driven more by shared moral and cultural frameworks than by considerations of the adolescent's rights and well-being. This study contributes to the discourse on Islamic family law by illustrating how community-based interpretations of morality, honor, and religious obligation may shape the application of legal and ethical principles in cases involving adolescents, particularly within the framework of protection and justice for minors.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the influence of Equivalent Rate and Return On Asset (ROA) on asset growth at the Sharia People's Credit Bank (BPRS) Puduarta Insani. The method used in this study is multiple linear regression analysis to examine the relationship between independent and dependent variables. The results indicate that the Equivalent Rate has a significant positive effect on the asset growth of BPRS, with a significance value (sig-t) of 0.045, which is less than 0.05. This indicates that an increase in the Equivalent Rate will be followed by an increase in asset growth. On the other hand, ROA shows a positive but insignificant relationship with asset growth, with a significance value (sig-t) of 0.687, which is greater than 0.05. These findings emphasize the importance of managing the Equivalent Rate in driving asset growth for BPRS, while ROA cannot be considered a primary indicator in this context. This research contributes to BPRS management in formulating more effective strategies to enhance asset performance.

Abstract

ABSTRACT A research revealed that pathological vaginal discharge was prevalent in 23-28% of high school teenagers, mostly attributed to inadequate personal hygiene stemming from insufficient understanding. Regular implementation of vulvar hygiene instruction is essential for high school teenagers. The prevalence of vaginal discharge among teenagers aged 10-18 years is believed to be between 35% and 42%. Proper genital hygiene must be prioritized, since improper practices may adversely affect women's reproductive health. This study seeks to examine the correlation between personal hygiene knowledge and the prevalence of pathological vaginal discharge among 128 students in class XI at SMA Muhammadiyah 2 Surabaya, employing an observational analytical method with a cross-sectional approach and convenience sampling technique. Data were gathered via questionnaires and analyzed using chi-square and Fisher's exact test. This study's findings indicated that while 77.3% of female students possessed a commendable level of knowledge, 20.3% still encountered pathological vaginal discharge, and no significant correlation was found between the level of personal hygiene knowledge and the occurrence of pathological vaginal discharge (p=0.882). Following the study, the researcher concludes that teaching on vulva cleanliness behavior for high school teenagers must be conducted consistently and often; a single session is insufficient.

Abstract

This study examines the influence of product quality, service quality, and promotion on saving decisions among students at the State Islamic University of North Sumatra (UINSU) within the context of Islamic banking. Using a quantitative approach and purposive sampling, the research involved 100 student respondents. Data were collected via validated questionnaires and analyzed using multiple linear regression, classical assumption tests, and hypothesis testing (t-test and F-test). The findings reveal that all three variables—product quality, service quality, and promotion individually and collectively exert a significant influence on students’ saving decisions. Among them, promotion shows the strongest individual effect. The coefficient of determination indicates that 55.8% of the variance in saving decisions can be explained by these variables. These findings align with the Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB), which suggests that behavioral intentions, influenced by attitudes, subjective norms, and perceived behavioral control, play a central role in decision-making processes. The research also supports the consumer decision-making process and SERVQUAL models, which emphasize the roles of information, evaluation, and service attributes in shaping consumer choices. This study underscores the strategic importance for Islamic banks to enhance their product offerings, service delivery, and promotional efforts, particularly when targeting younger consumers such as university students. By strengthening these areas, Islamic banks can better position themselves in a competitive financial landscape and expand their market share. Ultimately, this research contributes to the growing body of literature on Islamic financial behavior and offers actionable insights for improving student engagement with Sharia-compliant financial services.

Abstract

Clean and Healthy Living Behavior (PHBS) is an important component in creating healthy living habits, especially in elementary school children. Education about PHBS needs to be instilled from an early age to form a sustainable healthy lifestyle. This study aims to determine the effect of interactive education on improving the understanding of second-grade students at Dharma Loka Elementary School Pekanbaru regarding PHBS. In this study, 50 students were involved using a pre-experimental design through the One Group Pretest-Posttest Design method. The educational intervention was carried out using interactive instructional games such as snakes and ladders, animated films, and PowerPoint presentations. The results showed an increase in students' understanding of PHBS after the intervention. The average score of students in the initial test was 93.2, while after the intervention, the average score increased to 100, with an increase of 6.8 points. This indicates that interactive learning has a positive impact on students' understanding of PHBS. Learning that involves teaching aids and games is proven to be more interesting for elementary school students, making them more active in the learning process. Interactive education not only improves students' understanding but also encourages them to apply PHBS more in their daily lives. The use of media such as games, animated films, and PowerPoint presentations facilitates a more comprehensive and enjoyable understanding. Therefore, this approach can be an effective strategy for teaching children healthy lifestyles, while providing a fun and rewarding learning experience. This interactive education also provides students with the opportunity to learn in a more enjoyable and less boring way. Through the snakes and ladders game, students can learn the concept of healthy living (PHBS) directly in a lighter and more entertaining way. Animated films and PowerPoint presentations add variety to the learning method, making the information conveyed more easily by students.
