Abstract

This study aims to determine: (1) how the understanding of the ranks of educators of the Riyadlul Ba'diah Islamic boarding school in North Luwu is regarding the law on child protection (2) how the implementation of the law on child protection in the rules of the Riyadlul Ba'diah Islamic boarding school in North Luwu. This type of research is a qualitative approach with a field study method involving interviews with the boarding school administrators and teachers or educators at the Riyadlul Ba'diah Islamic boarding school in North Luwu. Data analysis uses data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions related to the results of the study. The results of the study indicate that: (1) The understanding of the ranks of educators regarding the law on child protection (UU PA) at the Riyadlul Ba'diah Islamic boarding school is still limited and requires improvement. This limited understanding is caused by the lack of training, resources and government support. (2) in the rules of the Riyadlul Ba'diah Islamic boarding school, it does not meet the standards of child protection, with only 50% of the principles of child protection listed andonly a few educators understanding the rules. This study has implications in emphasizing the importance of understanding and implementing child protection laws in Islamic boarding schools.

Abstract

This study aims to (1) Identify the implementation of the social emotional learning (PSE) approach at the curriculum level through the most relevant subjects; (2) Analyze the implementation of social emotional learning (PSE) in the school environment; and (3) Analyze the implementation of social emotional learning (PSE) in students. This study used a qualitative approach with a descriptive method. Data were obtained through interviews, observations and documentation with informants including teachers, staff, and students. The results of the study indicate that the implementation of PSE at SMAN 11 Gowa has covered three main aspects: (1) At the curriculum level, PSE is integrated into subjects such as Islamic Religious Education, Pancasila Education, and Indonesian, with learning methods that prioritize social and emotional values; (2) In the school environment, a positive, inclusive, and collaborative culture supports the social-emotional development of students; and (3) In students, teachers and staff have an important role in becoming role models and facilitators who support students' social and emotional competence. This study concludes that an integrated PSE approach that is integrated comprehensively in the curriculum, school environment, and learning community can improve the quality of learning while developing students' characters. This study provides an important contribution to the development of educational policies that support students' social and emotional skills.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian adalah untuk (1) menganalisis kondisi kompetensi profesional para guru di Sekolah Menengah Pertama (SMP) yang terletak di Kecamatan Rantebulahan Timur, Kabupaten Mamasa, (2) menganalisis kinerja guru di SMP se-Kecamatan Rantebulahan Timur, Kabupaten Mamasa, dan (3) menganalisis hubungan antara kompetensi profesional dan kinerja guru di SMP di Kecamatan Rantebulahan Timur, Kabupaten Mamasa. Total guru yang menjadi subjek penelitian adalah 80. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui kuesioner dan pengamatan, kemudian dianalisis menggunakan metode uji hipotesis Chi-Square, uji hipotesis asosiatif, serta analisis regresi dengan bantuan SPSS versi 26. Hasil analisis menunjukkan profil kompetensi profesional guru kategori sedang, dengan 12 guru (15%) menunjukkan kompetensi profesional yang rendah, 52 guru (65%) berada dalam kategori medium, dan 16 guru (20%) memiliki kompetensi profesional yang tinggi. Sementara itu, kinerja guru kategori sedang, di mana 11 guru (13,75%) menunjukkan kinerja rendah, 49 guru (61,25%) berada dalam kategori medium, dan 20 guru (25%) memiliki kinerja tinggi. Dalam analisis hubungan antara kompetensi profesional guru dan kinerja, ditemukan bahwa sebesar 52,7% dari hubungan tersebut dipengaruhi oleh variabel X, sedangkan sisanya dipengaruhi oleh faktor lain yang tidak dijelaskan dalam penelitian ini. Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat hubungan positif yang signifikan antara kompetensi profesional guru dan kinerja mereka.

Abstract

Before linguistics began to have its own paradigms, studies on languagehad been made by using paradigms derived from other disciplines. Language wasdescribed from the view points of philosophy, mechanistic physics, and biology.The studies could not answer questions about what language really is. Whenlinguistics finally had its own paradigms and established itself as an autonomousdiscipline, its studies on language could satisfactorily explain the nature oflanguage and answer questions about the ontology of language. Since thatmoment, studies on language have been growing up enormously and their findingsare significantly giving colors to linguistic studies. The development of linguisticstudies has implied and carried out changes in the orientation of language teachingin general and the teaching and learning of Bahasa Indonesia in particular.Keywords: linguistics, standard grammar, language teaching

Abstract

All members of a society master at least one language and use it ininteraction and communication by which they are able to conduct social functionsto express their nature as social beings. As social activities, the interaction andcommunication reflect cultural products expressed in conversational discourse.With regards to the speech act theory, the discourse always occurs in a speechsituation, in which a speech event occurs. Speech events consist of speech acts. Onthe basis of these paradigms, we can conclude that in nature discourse is a set ofspeech acts so that the speech act theory can be used as an approach to analyzingdiscourses.Keywords: speech acts, discourse, discourse analysisA.

Abstract

The teaching-learning process of Indonesian involving foreigners as thelearners differs in characteristics from the teaching-learning process of Indonesianin general. The differences are due to the learners' cultural backgrounds. Ananalysis of their learning needs and pedagogical norms of language learning isrequired in the selection of the materials and strategies for the teaching-learningprocess of Indonesian involving them as the learners. Results of analysis on theirentry level, learning style, and learning objective will direct the teachers inselecting the language teaching materials and strategies. Abstract

Strengthening literacy competency is an effort to improve the quality of students in facing future challenges. The rapid flow of information has consequences for humans to be able to choose and sort information that is useful or beneficial for improving their welfare. For this reason, literacy competency is an important skill to be part of learning activities in educational institutions. Educational institutions are strategic institutions for strengthening literacy competency. In this regard, good and effective planning prepared by teachers must ensure that it contains activities that support the learning process that strengthen literacy competency. For this reason, this study examines literacy activities in the planning of Indonesian Language Subjects with a qualitative approach. Data were obtained from documents in the form of RPP and teaching modules from teachers who had been trained in literacy by the Directorate of Junior High Schools, Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology. The results show that the activities in these steps show a variety of activities that are interpreted as literacy competency strengthening activities. Potential strategies that emerge from learning steps vary because they are influenced by learning objectives and topics. Disposition can be accommodated in the sense that the formation of students’ behavioral dispositions is potentially easily formed. This depends on the implementation of continuous strategies in every learning process.

Abstract

The research and development of literary text-based reading teaching materials for advanced BIPA learners was motivated by the results of a preliminary study that showed the potential of literary texts as reading learning materials in advanced BIPA classes. This study aims to produce teaching materials that meet the requirements of content feasibility, presentation systematics, language, and appearance so that they can help train critical reading skills for BIPA learners. The research model used is the 4D model by Thiagarajan, et al., involving test subjects in the form of BIPA material experts, teaching material preparation experts, design experts, practitioners (advanced BIPA teachers), and advanced BIPA students. The data obtained through the validation test shows that this teaching material is classified as very feasible and ready to be implemented with a percentage of feasibility reaching 89.1%. However, through the limited field test, there were several aspects that required revision to increase the percentage of feasibility to 83.3%. Nevertheless, this product is still feasible to be implemented with minor revisions. This teaching material can be utilized by BIPA students as an enrichment material in practicing critical reading skills by utilizing literary texts. Advanced level BIPA teachers can also use this teaching material to teach reading skills to students and introduce the works of Indonesian writers. BIPA researchers and activists are advised to consider this teaching material as a reference in developing literary text-based reading teaching materials that are still not widely available.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui (1) Pengetahuan masyarakat tentang larangan dan sanksi berdasarkan Peraturan Daerah Kabupaten Wakatobi tentang pengelolaan sampah. (2) sikap masyarakat Kelurahan Wali terhadap larangan dan sanksi berdasarkan Peraturan Daerah Kabupaten Wakatobi Nomor 2 Tahun 2014 tentang Pengelolaan Sampah. (3) perilaku masyarakat terhadap pengelolaan sampah berdasarkan Peraturan Daerah Kabupaten Wakatobi Nomor 2 Tahun 2014 Tentang Pengelolaan Sampah. Adapun pendekatan penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan jenis penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data berupa Angket, observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukan (1) Pengetahuan masyarakat tentang larangan dan sanksi berdasarkan Peraturan Daerah Kabupaten Wakatobi tentang Pengelolaan Sampah sudah cukup baik. Hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa dari 32 informan ada 28 masyarakat yang menjawab bahwa mereka mengetahui ada larangan terkait dengan pengelolaan sampah yang termuat dalam Peraturan Daerah Kabupaten Wakatobi, (2) Sikap masyarakat Kelurahan Wali terhadap larangan dan sanksi berdasarkan Peraturan Daerah Kabupaten Wakatobi Nomor 2 Tahun 2014 Tentang Pengelolaan Sampah menunjukan Mayoritas masyarakat Kelurahan Wali mendukung larangan dan sanksi dalam Peraturan Daerah Kabupaten Wakatobi Nomor 2 Tahun 2014 tentang Pengelolaan Sampah karena dianggap efektif meningkatkan kesadaran dan kedisiplinan menjaga kebersihan lingkungan. (3) Perilaku masyarakat terhadap pengelolaan sampah berdasarkan perilaku masyarakat dalam mengelola dan membuang sampah di Kelurahan Wali  Kabupaten Wakatobi menunjukkan variasi yang cukup signifikan. Secara umum, perilaku tersebut masih belum selaras dengan prinsip pengelolaan sampah yang baik dan ramah lingkungan. Beberapa masyarakat belum memisahkan sampah organik dan anorganik, bahkan ada yang membuang sampah di kebun atau laut, yang berpotensi menyebabkan pencemaran lingkungan. Sebagian lainnya sudah membuang sampah ke tempat pembuangan sementara (TPS), namun umumnya tanpa melakukan pemilahan yang benar. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa meskipun terdapat kesadaran untuk membuang sampah di tempat yang disediakan, praktik pemilahan sampah belum diterapkan secara luas.
