Abstract

Character education is an attempt to educate students so that they understand, feel and apply good values in their lives. However, in reality there are still some students who do not apply politeness in speaking, the researchers examined further how to implement character education in the 5S program at SDN 100 Pekanbaru. The purpose of this research is to describe the implementation of character education in the 5S program at SDN 100 Pekanbaru. This research method uses descriptive qualitative research methods using interview instruments. From the research results it can be seen that the character values in the 5S program are tolerance, social care and peace-loving values. The 5S program implemented atSDN 100 Pekanbaru makes students behave politely and politely so that students respect each other. Students become helpful, so as to create a comfortable, harmonious and peaceful school environment.

Abstract

E-modules are needed in development for students to understand the learning materials applied by teachers. The research is conducted to develop an E-Module and to determine the E-Module validity based on character values. This research is Research and Development with the ADDIE model, which is limited to the development stage. The validators of the research are two material aspect validators, two design aspect validators, and two language aspect validators. The research method of data collection used interviews, questionnaires, and documentation. The process of E-Modules development based on character values begins with the stage of need analysis, curriculum and materials, product design, and the validity process applied by the validator. Based on the validation results, the E-Module based on character values in theme 2 of sub-theme 2 learning at class V of SDN 177 Pekanbaru has achieved the criteria from design aspects 88%, material aspects 94%, and language aspects 92%. The overall average validity value is 91% with the category of very valid to use. Thus, it is recommended to apply E-Modules in order to find out how effective and practical E-Modules implementation is used during the learning process.

Abstract

Social attitude refers to the becoming of students' social attitudes in order to make them honest, disciplined, responsible, and caring for others. The research described in this article is to describe the students’ becoming of social attitudes and obstacles found by teachers in applying social attitudes in thematic learning. The method used is descriptive research with a qualitative approach. The research involved students and homeroom teachers at class IVA. The data collection method is carried out by observation, interviews, and documentation. The results indicate that the circumstances in the research field teachers and students have already embedded social attitudes in the teaching and learning processes. The social attitudes that appeared in this research are tolerance, self-confidence, and mutual cooperation. The implementation of social attitudes is seen when group discussion and learning interactions in the classroom. Yet, the implementation of these social attitudes has not been applied optimally. It is due to several existing inhibition factors like students’ low self-awareness, uncontrolled associations, and children’s inner behavior. However, teachers should be tried to adapt themselves to students through socialization such as in school, family, and society. Various attempts are given by teachers in order to make students instill their social attitudes like maximizing the application of teaching and learning methods, linking the material with social attitudes, and providing guidance to apply learning methods in groups.

Abstract

Upaya peningkatan literasi membaca di sekolah dasar perlu didukung oleh media belajar yang mampu menghadirkan pengalaman membaca yang lebih interaktif. Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan memperkuat kemampuan literasi membaca siswa kelas V SDIT Bunaya Pekanbaru melalui pemanfaatan media Augmented Reality (AR) berbasis Assemblr EDU. Program difokuskan pada pembelajaran teks bertema “Upacara Adat” yang dipadukan dengan visualisasi 3D rumah adat Indonesia sebagai sarana eksplorasi budaya. Penilaian literasi mencakup empat indikator, yaitu literal, inferensial, evaluatif, dan reflektif. Kegiatan dilaksanakan menggunakan pendekatan Participatory Action Research (PAR) yang melibatkan guru dan siswa dalam proses perencanaan, implementasi, dan refleksi. Hasil pengukuran menunjukkan peningkatan rata-rata skor literasi membaca dari 61,2 (pretest) menjadi 84,5 (posttest), atau meningkat 38%, dengan capaian tertinggi pada indikator inferensial dan reflektif. Selain peningkatan akademik, kegiatan ini menumbuhkan minat baca serta apresiasi budaya lokal melalui pengalaman belajar multimodal. Temuan ini menegaskan efektivitas AR sebagai media pembelajaran yang mendukung pemahaman bacaan dan penguatan identitas budaya. Untuk keberlanjutan program, sekolah didorong mengembangkan komunitas literasi digital serta memperluas integrasi AR pada materi tematik lain agar ekosistem literasi berbasis teknologi dapat terbentuk secara berkelanjutan.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the early reading ability of second-grade students using the Early Grade Reading Assessment  technique. The research employed a naturalistic inquiry method with a qualitative approach. The subjects of the study were 27 second-grade students. Data were collected through two EGRA test stages: the first stage involved naming the alphabet within 60 seconds, and the second stage involved reading meaningful words within 60 seconds. Data validity was ensured through source triangulation and technique triangulation. Data analysis was conducted using percentage analysis and the Miles and Huberman model, which includes data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The results showed that students’ ability to name alphabet letters was in the high category, with 23 students (85%) able to correctly name all 26 letters within 60 seconds (100%), while 4 students (15%) named 24 letters with a 92.30% accuracy rate. In the meaningful word reading test, 20 students (74%) read 20 words correctly within 60 seconds (high category), 5 students (18%) achieved 95% accuracy (high category), 1 student (4%) was in the moderate category (75%), and 1 student (4%) was in the low category (0%). Overall, the findings indicate that the students’ early reading ability is categorized as high, although a small number of students still require additional guidance to improve their reading accuracy and speed.

Abstract

This study aims to identify the challenges faced by teachers in implementing digital technology-based learning within the Merdeka Curriculum at UPT SDN 023 Pandau Jaya. The research employed a qualitative case study approach with data collected through observations, interviews, and documentation. The informants consisted of homeroom teachers of classes VA and VB, as well as students from the same classes. The findings indicate four main challenges in implementing digital technology-based learning. In terms of teacher competence, differences were found in teachers’ abilities to operate digital devices and apply TPACK, resulting in uneven utilization of technology. Regarding infrastructure, ICT facilities are available but not optimally used due to limited devices and technical issues. In the aspect of school support, regular training and guidance from the principal have been provided, yet some teachers still require additional assistance. From a cultural perspective, varying levels of adaptability between younger and senior teachers influence the smooth integration of technology, although all teachers demonstrate positive attitudes and willingness to learn. This study emphasizes that teacher competence, facilities, institutional support, and school culture play crucial roles in the successful implementation of digital technology-based learning in accordance with the Merdeka Curriculum.

Abstract

Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh penggunaan media Chromebook terhadap motivasi belajar dan hasil belajar siswa kelas V pada mata pelajaran Bahasa Indonesia di SDN 17 Pekanbaru. Pendekatan yang digunakan adalah asosiatif kuantitatif dengan sampel seluruh siswa kelas V sebanyak 66 siswa. Instrumen penelitian berupa angket motivasi belajar dan angket penggunaan Chromebook, yang telah diuji validitas dan reliabilitasnya. Data dianalisis menggunakan statistik deskriptif, uji normalitas, linearitas, dan regresi linear sederhana. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan Chromebook memiliki pengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap motivasi belajar siswa (R = 0,441; R² = 0,195; Sig. < 0,001), namun tidak berpengaruh signifikan terhadap hasil belajar siswa (R = 0,039; R² = 0,001; Sig. = 0,758). Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa Chromebook efektif dalam meningkatkan motivasi belajar, tetapi peningkatan motivasi tidak selalu diterjemahkan menjadi peningkatan hasil belajar akademik. Penelitian ini menyarankan guru untuk mengintegrasikan Chromebook dengan strategi pembelajaran yang tepat dan dukungan latihan konsisten agar hasil belajar dapat meningkat secara signifikan. Kata Kunci: Chromebook,motivasi belajar,hasil belajar.

Abstract

This study examines the influence of the bullying complaint box on reducing bullying cases at SD Negeri 193 Pekanbaru. The issue addressed is the ongoing physical and verbal bullying and the low reporting rate due to fear and the absence of safe reporting channels. Using a quantitative ex post facto design, data were collected from 192 students determined through Slovin’s formula. Two validated questionnaires Complaint Box Usage and Bullying Cases were used as instruments. Data analysis involved descriptive statistics, normality and linearity tests, and simple linear regression. Results show that students’ use of the complaint box is categorized as good, indicating that they understand its role as a safe reporting medium. The normality and linearity tests confirmed that the data met analytical assumptions. Regression results showed a significance value below 0.05, meaning the complaint box significantly affects bullying cases. The coefficient of determination (R² = 0.044) indicates that the complaint box contributes 4.4% to reducing bullying, while 95.6% is influenced by other factors. Overall, the findings show that the complaint box is an effective tool in helping reduce bullying at school.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pembiasaan Gerakan Literasi Sekolah (GLS) terhadap minat baca siswa kelas V di SD Negeri 14 Pekanbaru. Gerakan Literasi Sekolah merupakan program nasional yang dirancang untuk menumbuhkan budaya membaca melalui berbagai kegiatan, seperti membaca 15 menit sebelum pembelajaran, penyediaan pojok baca, dan publikasi karya siswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan jenis ex post facto. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas V yang berjumlah 70 orang, dan teknik yang digunakan adalah total sampling. Instrumen penelitian berupa angket tertutup menggunakan skala Likert, yang telah diuji validitas dan reliabilitasnya. Analisis data dilakukan dengan bantuan program SPSS versi 25 melalui uji statistik deskriptif, uji normalitas, uji linearitas, dan regresi linier sederhana. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata skor GLS adalah 75,07 dan minat baca siswa sebesar 82,96, yang keduanya tergolong tinggi. Uji regresi menunjukkan bahwa pembiasaan GLS berpengaruh signifikan terhadap minat baca siswa, dengan koefisien determinasi (R²) sebesar 0,796, artinya 79,6% variasi minat baca dipengaruhi oleh GLS. Persamaan regresi yang diperoleh adalah Y = 11,037 + 0,958X. Hasil ini menunjukkan bahwa peningkatan pelaksanaan GLS berdampak langsung dan positif terhadap peningkatan minat baca siswa. Temuan ini memperkuat pentingnya pelaksanaan literasi sekolah secara konsisten sebagai strategi efektif dalam membangun budaya membaca di tingkat sekolah dasar

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kesiapan guru dalam pembuatan media pembelajaran berbasis Canva di SDN 007 Pangkalan Baru. Kesiapan guru menjadi faktor penting dalam mendukung implementasi Kurikulum Merdeka yang menuntut guru mampu merancang pembelajaran berbasis teknologi secara kreatif dan interaktif. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi terhadap lima orang guru kelas. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemahaman guru terhadap aplikasi Canva masih bersifat konseptual dan belum terintegrasi secara optimal dalam pembelajaran. Keterampilan teknis guru dalam menggunakan Canva juga bervariasi; sebagian mampu menggunakan fitur dasar, namun masih mengalami kesulitan dalam membuat media ajar yang menarik dan sesuai dengan kebutuhan siswa. Selain itu, kesiapan guru dipengaruhi oleh beberapa faktor penghambat, seperti keterbatasan sarana prasarana, kurangnya pelatihan berkelanjutan, dan minimnya dukungan kebijakan dari sekolah. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan adanya pelatihan praktik, komunitas belajar guru, serta penyediaan fasilitas pendukung sebagai strategi untuk meningkatkan kesiapan guru dalam memanfaatkan Canva sebagai media pembelajaran.
