Abstract

Performance is vital for organizational success, and employee work quality is essential. A decline in individual or group performance can significantly affect a company's effectiveness. This study, conducted at the Honda Sei Rampah Dealer beginning in July 2020, used quantitative data analysis to investigate the independent variables of dominion power image and employee work quality, with dominion power as the dependent variable. The study involved 45 employees (43 males and 2 females, aged 18–29, both single and married). Validity testing was performed using SPSS version 17.00, based on the calculated r values. Partial hypothesis testing assesses the impact of each independent variable on the dependent variable. The findings indicated a significant relationship between job motivation and employee work quality and that dominion power had a notable effect on employee quality. Future research should explore dominion power among employees, especially their resilience in challenging work environments, through encouragement initiatives. Examining colleagues’ relationships and implementing stricter regulations to enhance compliance and obedience may also be beneficial. To better understand the complexities of dominion power and its impact on organizations, future studies should incorporate more variables that could lead to improved organizational performance and effectiveness.

Abstract

The beauty industry has evolved, with skincare becoming crucial for women. It protects against environmental factors and prevents issues caused by make-up. The Indonesian skincare market is growing, reflecting the increasing importance of skin health. This study investigates the influence of lifestyle, psychological factors, and pricing on MS Glow skincare product-purchasing decisions among students at the University of North Sumatra's Faculty of Education. Using primary data from 100 respondents, multiple linear regression analysis was employed to examine the relationships between the independent variables (lifestyle, psychological factors, and price) and the dependent (purchase decision) variables. This research aims to understand consumer behavior in skincare product acquisition, focusing on MS Glow. Contrary to expectations, price does not significantly influence purchase decisions. However, lifestyle and psychological factors play substantial roles, exhibiting positive and statistically significant relationships with the dependent variable. These findings challenge conventional wisdom about the importance of pricing in student consumer decision-making and highlight the need for lifestyle-oriented and psychologically driven marketing approaches in the skincare industry. This study contributes valuable insights into university students' decision-making processes for personal care products, enhancing the understanding of consumer behaviour in this demographic.

Abstract

This research examines the differences in financial performance before and after the COVID-19 pandemic among financial sector enterprises listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange from 2018 to 2022. The socio-economic impact of COVID-19 has affected various sectors of the economy, including both industrial and service sectors, thereby influencing productivity and subsequent company performance. It is noteworthy that the highest growth in financial performance for financing enterprises occurred in 2022, following declines in 2019 and 2020, with a particularly drastic decrease in 2020. The independent variables in this study include financial performance, financing enterprises, liquidity ratio, solvency, profitability, and dividend payout, with COVID-19 as the dependent variable. Data collection utilized secondary data obtained from the official website of the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) and the Annual Reports of each company. The study encompassed 18 sample enterprises listed on the IDX. This research employed a quantitative method, utilizing descriptive statistics and paired sample t-tests to analyze liquidity, solvency, profitability, and dividend payout using the Eviews 13. Findings indicate no significant differences in liquidity, solvency, profitability, and dividend payout ratios before and after the pandemic. These results contradict previous research findings showing varied impacts of COVID-19 on financial performance. The study concludes that financial enterprises effectively managed their assets during the pandemic. Recommendations for future research include expanding the sample size and considering additional financial performance indicators to further explore the impact of COVID-19 on financial performance.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the level of Financing Efficiency Using the Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) Approach at Bank Aceh Syariah. This type of research is descriptive quantitative research. The data collection technique uses secondary data in the form of financial statements accessed through the official website www.bankaceh.co.id. The collected data is processed using the STATA 17 program. The population used in this study is all financial reports of Bank Aceh Syariah. The sampling technique in this study uses saturated samples, namely the entire population. This study uses two variables, namely input variables consisting of Third-Party Funds and Fixed Assets and Financing output variables. The data analysis method used in this study is Data Envelopment Analysis. The results of the study show that there is variation in the level of efficiency during the entire 2020-2023 Period of Bank Aceh Syariah. Some branches show a high level of efficiency with a DEA score of 1, while others show varying levels of inefficiency with different DEA scores. Overall, Bank Aceh Syariah has achieved fairly efficient circumstances where the fluctuations observed reflect variations in bank performance from year to year. Despite these fluctuations, Bank Aceh Syariah continues to show a relatively good level of efficiency throughout the period. The theoretical implication of this study is to increase understanding of how DEA techniques can be used to evaluate and compare financing efficiency between units or branches in a Sharia bank. The managerial implication of this study is to assist management in making strategic decisions related to resource allocation, setting internal policies, and developing more effective financing strategies. By optimizing efficiency, banks can improve competitiveness, quality of service to customers, and long-term financial sustainability. Additionally, this study can be used as a tool for periodic performance evaluation and monitoring, ensuring that banks continue to operate at maximum efficiency.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the influence of financial performance (NPM), capital structure (DAR), and managerial ownership (KM) on company value as measured by Tobin's Q in the non-cyclical consumer sector listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (BEI) for the period 2019-2023 period. The research sample consisted of 10 companies selected based on data available on the official IDX website. The method used for data analysis is panel data regression with the help of the E-Views 12 application. The research results show that financial performance (NPM) has a positive and significant effect on company value (Tobin's Q), which indicates that the higher the company's profit margin, the higher as well as the market value of the company. Apart from that, capital structure as measured by (DAR) also has a positive and significant effect on firm value (Tobin's Q), which shows that the use of debt can increase firm value through the leverage effect. On the other hand, managerial ownership (KM) does not have a significant effect on firm value (Tobin's Q), which shows that even though managers own company shares, this factor is not strong enough to influence the assessment of firm value. Overall, the findings of this research confirm that financial performance and capital structure have a positive and significant influence on company value, while managerial ownership does not have a significant influence in the context of companies in the non-cyclical consumer sector listed on the BEI.
