Abstract

This research was conducted because there is a problem of low critical thinking among students in learning Social Studies in elementary schools. Improving critical thinking skills in students, requires an appropriate learning model and interesting learning media, namely by using the Inquiry-Based Learning model with the help of animated videos. The purpose of this study was to determine the difference in critical thinking of students given the Inquiry-Based Learning model and the Lecture model. This study used the 2x2 Quasi Experiment method with a sample of 56 students from the experimental group and the control group. The results of this study showed that: (1) the ability to think critically between students who learn with the Inquiry-Based Learning model higher motivation compared to students who learn with the Lecture model (2) there is an interaction between the learning model on the critical thinking ability of students (3) the critical thinking ability of students who are given the treatment of Inquiry-Based Learning learning model is higher than the Lecture model with high motivation (4) the critical thinking ability of students who are given the treatment of Inquiry-Based Learning model is higher than the Lecture model with low motivation.

Abstract

This study aims to investigate the early reading challenges faced by students at SD Negeri Abadijaya 3 Depok and the role of teachers in overcoming these problems. A qualitative descriptive method was used in this study, with the homeroom teacher of class 2C and six students of class 2C who experienced early reading difficulties as research subjects. Data analysis was carried out using the Miles and Huberman model of qualitative data analysis techniques, including three stages: data reduction, data presentation, and verification of conclusions. The results of the study showed variations in reading abilities and challenges faced by students, including difficulties in recognizing and pronouncing diphthongs, and difficulties in composing words and reading fluently. Teachers have made maximum efforts to fulfill their roles as educators, managers, facilitators, supervisors, administrators, innovators, dynamicators, leaders, and evaluators. However, improvements are still needed in using more effective learning methods, creating a conducive classroom environment, and implementing innovations in reading learning.

Abstract

The development of many children was more likely to play handphone than to study. This makes the child lose his motivation to study. Children's learning motivation can be influenced by various factors, one of which is parenting. Parents who have a good parenting will have an impact on children's learning motivation. This study aims to examine the relationship between authoritarian parenting and mathematics learning motivation of elementary school 3rd graders by examining the difference between male and female students learning motivation in class mathematics. The type of research used in this study is the study of correlation with a robustitative approach. Sampling techniques using simple random sampling techniques with the subject being students grade III at Kebon Jeruk 08 Elementary School number as many as 30 students. Data collection techniques are using instruments in the form of quisioner. The data obtained are analyzed using descriptive statistics and inferential statistics. Inferential statistical analyses used include 1) normality tests, 2) linearity tests, 3) hypothesis tests (correlation of pearson product moment). The research results show that the relationship between authoritarian parenting and III grade students' mathematical learning motivation of 0.534 is classified as moderate. Thus, it can be concluded that there is a significant and positive relationship between parenting and motivation for third grade students' math learning.

Abstract

Pembelajaran diferensiasi sebuah pendekatan dalam pembelajaran yang dirancang untuk mengakomodasi berbagai kebutuhan peserta didik, seperti gaya belajar, kemampuan kognitif, dan minat. Multitiered system of support (MTSS) salah satu pendekatan pembelajaran yang dirancang untuk membantu sekolah mengidentifikasi peserta didik yang mengalami kesulitan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui implementasi MTSS di SD Lazuardi Al Falah kota Depok. Menggunakan metodologi penelitian kualitatif dengan metode naratif melalui kegiatan wawancara mendalam semi struktur dilakukan terhadap dua orang tenaga kependidikan dengan pertanyaan terbuka. Konteks penelitian ini adalah sebuah sekolah dasar di daerah perkotaan besar yang telah menerapkan MTSS selama satu tahun. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan telah terbentuk pola implementasi yang baik di SD Lazuardi Alfalah Depok mulai dari langkah-langkah persiapan, pelaksanaan, dan evaluasi. Hasil implementasi MTSS juga menunjukkan adanya peningkatan motivasi belajar dan kemampuan menulis khususnya pada siswa kelas satu (I) dan (II). Implementasi MTSS dengan benar terbukti akan meningkatkan kemampuan akademik dan emosi sosial yang baik. Perlu pemahaman yang baik dari seluruh komponen agar dapat menentukan program di setiap tingkatan MTSS dan proses monitoring serta evaluasi yang baik.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the relationship between the use of social media (Youtube) and reading interest of fifth grade students of SDN Medan Satria II Bekasi City. This study uses a quantitative correlation method. The sample in this study were class Vb students totaling 30 students. The data collection technique is through a questionnaire. Data analysis uses statistical analysis, namely normality test, linearity test, and product moment correlation. The results of the study using Pearson product moment correlation show that there is no correlation between social media (YouTube) and students' reading interest, with the basis for making a decision, namely the significance value <0.05 = correlation, The results of this study obtained a result of 0.384 and a significance of 0.036 and it can be concluded that there is no significant relationship between social media (YouTube) and reading interest of grade V students of SDN Medan Satria II. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memaparkan implementasi pendidikan karakter melalui budaya sekolah serta faktor pendukung dan penghambat di SDN Inpres Hidirasa Kecamatan Wera Kabupaten Bima. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif deskriptif. Pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Analisis data melalui proses mengumpulkan data, pereduksi data, penyajikan data, penarikan simpulan dan verifikasi Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pendidikan karakter dilakukan melalui proses pembelajaran seperti: membiasakan berdoa sebelum dan setelah pembelajaran, memecahkan masalah baik secara kelompok maupun individu, memberanikan diri bertanya maupun berpendapat, dan mengerjakan tugas individu pada buku siswa. Melalui pembiasaan/keteladanan seperti: yasinan, hafal ayat pendek dan kultum, kerja bakti membersihkan halaman sekolah, pertemuan antar kelas (class meeting), upacara bendera setiap hari Senin, dan praktek salat. Selanjutnya, pendidikan karakter dilakukan melalui kegiatan ekstrakurikuler seperti: belajar tarian daerah, olahraga masing-masing kelas, dan olahraga wajib seluruh kelas setiap hari Sabtu. Faktor pendukung, adanya program jangka menengah maupun jangka panjang yang di programkan seperti disiplin waktu, kegiatan religius, olahraga, dan belajar kesenian tari daerah. Faktor penghambat, sarana dan prasarana kurang memadai, masih kurang kesadaran orang tua, dan masih kurang pahamnya guru dalam implementasi Kurikulum 2013.

Abstract

Significant in building unity. To overcome this complex problem requires an education system that prioritizes unity with tolerance and respects cultural differences. This article explores Ki Hadjar Dewantara's vision in multicultural education as an effort to realize the motto "Bhinneka Tunggal Ika" in the context of Indonesian education. Ki Hadjar Dewantara, as a pioneer of national education, emphasized the importance of inclusive education, rooted in local cultural values, and respecting diversity. This article analyzes his ideas through a historical and conceptual approach, highlighting educational principles such as Tri-N (Niteni, Nirokke, and Nambahi) and an understanding of the socio-cultural environment of students. The results of the study show that multicultural education based on Ki Hadjar Dewantara's thoughts is relevant to building awareness of diversity, instilling values ​​of tolerance, and strengthening national character in the younger generation. In the era of globalization, this vision is a strategic foundation for strengthening unity amidst differences, creating a harmonious society, and preparing students to face global challenges without losing their identity as the Indonesian nation

Abstract

This research examines the perception of tolerance of student diversity at SDN Jatinegara Kaum 11 Pagi. Tolerance of diversity is one form of character that reflects human rights values in it. As social beings, students do not live with the same cultural uniformity as themselves, but in the school environment students encounter diversity as plural and multicultural individuals. For this reason, it is very important to instill the character of tolerance of diversity in students in elementary schools as a provision for living in a diverse social environment through the application of multicultural-based education with a recognition theory approach from Axel Honneth. This research uses a quantitative approach. Data collection used purposive sampling research techniques in the form of a questionnaire with a Likert scale model. Data collection was conducted online through the GoogleForm platform in September-November, Data analysis used descriptive statistical techniques. The results of the research conducted show that students' tolerance for diversity has increased at SDN Jatinegara Kaum 11 Pagi, from the percentage of data on the perception of students' tolerance for diversity has increased positively with data on indicators of aspects of peace with the whole statement showing results of 46.5%, on data indicators of aspects of respect for differences and individuals with the whole statement showing results of 43.2%, and on data indicators of aspects of awareness with the whole statement.

Abstract

The development of character in primary school learners is a fundamental aspect of education that lays the groundwork for future moral and ethical behavior.  Teachers, as the primary pillars in the learning process, hold a critical responsibility in shaping the character of primary school learners.  The complexity of the teacher's role as a model in character education necessitates a comprehensive understanding and evaluation of their influence.  This study aims to provide a new contribution by offering a more general and conceptual exploration of the role of teachers in strengthening character among primary school learners. The focus of this approach is to analyze the Role of Teachers according to UU No. 14 Tahun 2005 concerning Teachers and Lecturers, the integration of character values in learning, teacher practices, and the impact of teacher behavior on students.  This study employs qualitative methods through relevant literature review. Using a descriptive-holistic approach, the research aims to provide a comprehensive understanding of the topic.  The results of the study are in the form of an analysis of the role of teachers as role models in strengthening positive character in elementary school students in accordance with Law of the Republic of Indonesia Number 14 of 2005 concerning Teachers and Lecturers. How the role of teachers can be a model in strengthening positive character in elementary school students. The efforts that primary school teachers make in their roles reinforce positive character in students, both inside and outside the classroom.

Abstract

Keberagaman kebudayaan yang disebutkan sebagai multikultural saat ini tidak hanya sebatas keberagaman etnis, suku dan budaya melainkan dalam aspek yang lain pula. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kajian pembelajaran multikultural di kelas. Setiap informasi yang bersumber dari literatur dikumpulkan dan diolah dengan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif. Pengumpulan data diperoleh dari kajian literatur yang berasal dari berbagai jurnal dan undang-undang. Pembahasan berisi asas filosofis dan yuridis Pendidikan multicultural di Indonesia. Berdasarkan kajian dapat ditarik simpulan bahwa Pendidikan multikultural sangat cocok diterapkan di Indonesia karena Indonesia merupakan salah satu negara dengan fenomena pluralisme yang sangat tinggi jika ditinjau berdasarkan suku, agama, ras, golongan, dan etnis. Amanat Undang-undang sudah menjadi pondasi dari keragaman yang kita miliki yang diaplikasikan di dalam kelas.
