Abstract

This research aims to investigate the inhibit final project of students’ D3 Program in the Automotive Engineering Department Faculty of Engineering Padang State University in 2016 and 2017. The type of this research is descriptive correlational with a population 0f 74 students and 44 students for sample . Based on results that have beeen analyzes, it can be concluded that Instrumental Factors are the most influencing factors on the inhibiting final project of students’ D3 Program in the Automotive Engineering Department Faculty of Engineering Padang State University in 2016 and 2017 because of their TCR value 56,06%, its categorized into four indicators; ability to write scientific papers in the very poor category (54,60%); The effect of availability of learning resources in the less category (57,84%); The family economic conditions in the less category (60,32%); Quality of undergraduate final Project in the very poor category (40,53%). Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui kendala penyelesaian tugas akhir mahasiswa D3 Teknik Otomotif Fakultas Teknik Universitas Negeri Padang tahun masuk 2016 dan 2017. Jenis Penelitian ini adalah deskriptif korelasional dengan populasi sebanyak 74 mahasiswa dan diambil 44 mahasiswa sebagai sampel. Dari hasil analisis diketahui bahwa Faktor Instrumental menjadi variabel yang paling mempengaruhi kendala penyelesaian tugas akhir mahasiswa D3 Teknik Otomotif Fakultas Teknik Universitas Negeri Padang tahun masuk 2016 dan 2017 karena memiliki nilai TCR sebesar 56,06%, dijabarkan dalam 4 indikator yaitu Kemampuan Menulis Karya Ilmiah pada kategori sangat kurang (54,60%); Ketersediaan Sumber Belajar pada kategori kurang (57,84%); Keadaan Ekonomi Keluarga pada kategori kurang (60,32%); Kualitas Bimbingan pada kategori sangat kurang (40,53%).

Abstract

Education is a process to optimize one's potential in certain ways to achieve certain goals. Every university has graduate competency standards that every student must have. Graduate competencies are made based on the expected graduate profile of each study program, including the automotive engineering study program. Based on data from sia2.unp.ac.id the comparison between the number of students entering and graduating D3 Automotive Engineering UNP students in 2014 to 2017 was 225 versus 101. This study used a quantitative descriptive method involving 75 students as respondents. The purpose of this study is to describe the abilities possessed by D3 students of the Automotive Engineering Department in 2020. The highest percentage of student competencies is at the B+ score, which is 25%, followed by A-, A, E, B, B-, C, C, C+. , and D, respectively, the percentages are 18%, 14%, 11%, 8%, 6%, 6%, 6%, 3%, 3%. Pendidikan adalah proses untuk mengoptimalkan potensi diri dengan cara-cara tertentu untuk mencapai tujuan tertentu. Setiap perguruan tinggi memiliki standar kompetensi lulusan yang wajib dimiliki oleh setiap mahasiswa. Kompetensi lulusan dibuat berdasarkan profil lulusan yang diharapkan setiap program studi, termasuk program studi teknik otomotif. Berdasarkan data dari sia2.unp.ac.id perbandingan antara jumlah mahasiswa masuk dan lulus mahasiswa D3 Teknik Otomotif UNP tahun masuk 2014 sampai 2017 adalah 225 berbanding 101. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kuantitatif yang melibatkan 75 orang mahasiswa sebagai respondenya. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk memaparkan kemampuan yang dimiliki mahasiswa D3 Jurusan Teknik Otomotif tahun masuk 2020. Persentase kompetensi mahasiswa paling tinggi berada pada nilai B+ yaitu 25% disusul A-, A, E, B, B-, C, C-, C+, dan D yang berturut turut presentasenya 18%, 14%, 11%, 8%, 6%, 6%, 6%, 3%, 3%.

Abstract

This research discusses the design of valve skir tool. The purpose of this research is to explain the process of designing and manufacturing as well as testing the valve screw by knowing the ratio of the thickness of the valve margins from the results of the valve clearance. This type of research is development and research, the researcher examines and tests the performance of the tool. The object of this research is to know the ratio of the thickness of the valve margins if the rpm is increased gradually and the time during drilling continues to increase, using the Toyota Corona type 12 R cylinder head and valve. Based on the research that has been done, it can be concluded that the effective rpm and time or rpm and time Recommended for conducting valve inspections is at rpm 5000 minutes to 15, rpm 6000 and rpm 7000 minutes 5. The reason is because at that rpm and time the rotation is stable and from the results of checking the valve there is no leakage. Penelitian ini membahas tentang rancang bangun alat skir katup. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menjelaskan proses perancangan dan pembuatan serta melakukan uji coba alat skir katup dengan mengetahui perbandingan tebal margin katup dari hasil penyekiran katup. Jenis penelitian ini adalah pengembangan dan penelitian, peneliti meneliti dan melakukan uji coba kinerja alat. Objek penelitian ini adalah megetahui perbandingan ketebalan margin katup jika rpmnya dinaikkan secara bertahap serta waktu selama penyekiran terus bertambah, menggunakan kepala silinder dan katup Toyota Corona tipe 12 R. Berdasarkan penelitian yang telah dilakukan maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa rpm dan waktu yang efektif atau rpm dan waktu yang direkomendasikan untuk melakukan penyekiran katup adalah pada rpm 5000 menit ke 15, rpm 6000 dan rpm 7000 menit ke 5. Alasannya yaitu karena pada rpm dan waktu tersebut putarannya stabil dan dari hasil penyekiran katup tidak terjadi kebocoran.

Abstract

This research is a tracer study that aims to determine the distribution of graduates of the D3 Automotive Engineering Study Program, Faculty of Engineering, Padang State University who have worked and the fields of work undertaken by the graduates. This study uses a quantitative descriptive analysis approach. The tracking study is carried out by distributing questionnaires or questionnaires with the help of the Google form. The total number of respondents or alums was 89 of the Automotive Engineering Study Program in 2014, 2015, and 2016, with 64 alums. The research results show that 71.91% of graduates have found work, of which 46.1% have found work in their graduate field. 34.38% of alums get jobs after graduating within an average of 1-3 months. 39.06% of alums, on average, earn between IDR 2,000,000 and IDR 3,000,000 per month. Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui sebaran lulusan Program Studi D3 Teknik Otomotif Fakultas Teknik Universitas Negeri Padang yang telah bekerja dan kesesuaian bidang kerja lulusan. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan analisis deskriptif kuantitatif. Pelaksanaan studi pelacakan dilaksanakan dengan membagikan angketdengan format google form. Jumlah keseluruhan responden atau alumni sebanyak 89 orang alumni Program Studi Teknik Otomotif tahun masuk 2014, 2015 dan 2016 dengan jumlah 64 alumni. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa lulusan yang sudah mendapatkan pekerjaan sebanyak 71,91%, dimana 46.1% diantaranya mendapatkan pekerjaan sesuai dengan bidang lulusannya. 34.38% alumni mendapatkan pekerjaan setelah lulus dalam rentang waktu rata-rata 1-3 bulan. 39.06% alumni rata-rata berpenghasilan antara Rp 2.000.000-Rp 3.000.000 per bulan.

Abstract

This study discusses the design of a four stroke motorcycle injection system with the aim of reducing harmful substances in exhaust emissions by changing the conventional system to an EFI system and to determine the torque and power and fuel consumption produced. This research method uses the experimental method. The results of this study are the power produced in the designed EFI system decreased by 4.33% with a difference of 0.23 kW, torque decreased by 6.95% with a difference of 0.57 kW, and the content of HC exhaust emissions decreased by 394.58% with a difference of 365.66 ppm, CO content decreased by 39.13%, with a difference of 0.63%, the content of CO2 in exhaust emissions on a four stroke motorcycle that was converted to an EFI system increased by 68.99% with a difference of 2.67%, and fuel consumption was getting smaller so that it increased by 31.85% with a difference of 21.98 Km/ L. Penelitian ini membahas tentang rancang bangun sistem injeksi sepeda motor 4 langkah dengan tujuan mengurangi zat berbahaya dalam emisi gas buang dengan mengubah sistem konvensional menjadi sistem EFI dan untuk menentukan torsi, daya, dan konsumsi bahan bakar yang dihasilkan. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimental. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa daya yang dihasilkan dalam sistem EFI yang dirancang menurun sebesar 4,33% dengan selisih 0,23 kW, torsi menurun sebesar 6,95% dengan selisih 0,57 Nm, dan kandungan emisi HC menurun sebesar 394,58% dengan selisih 365,66 ppm, kandungan CO menurun sebesar 39,13% dengan selisih 0,63%, kandungan CO2 dalam emisi gas buang pada sepeda motor 4 langkah yang dikonversi menjadi sistem EFI meningkat sebesar 68,99% dengan selisih 2,67%, dan konsumsi bahan bakar menjadi lebih kecil sehingga meningkat sebesar 31,85% dengan selisih 21,98 km/L.

Abstract

Research-based on problems in applying the learning model at SMKN 3 Bungo. This study aims to see the effectiveness of using the Problem Solving learning model at SMKN 3 Bungo. The learning model used is centered on the teacher, so student activity is still low. This type of research is a pre-experimental study using a one-group pretest post-test design. The research subjects were 24 students of class XI TKR 2 SMKN 3 Bungo. The research instrument is in the form of test questions in the form of objective questions. the data is analyzed through analysis of student learning completeness, effect size, and N-Gain. The results of this study indicate that the Problem Solving learning model effectively improves student learning outcomes in class XI TKR 2 at SMKN 3 Bungo, where 91.67% of students are declared to have completed it based on the KKM. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat keefektifan pengunaan model pembelajaran Problem Solving di SMKN 3 Bungo. Penelitian berdasarkan permasalahan dalam penerapan model pembelajaran yang diterapkan di SMKN 3 Bungo. Model pembelajaran yang digunakan terpusat pada guru, sehingga keaktifan siswa masih rendah. Jenis penelitian merupakan penelitian pre experimental menggunakan desain one group pretest posttest. Subjek penelitian merupakan siswa kelas XI TKR 2 SMKN 3 Bungo yan berjumlah 24 orang. Instrumen penelitian dalam bentuk soal tes dalam bentuk soal objektif. Data yang terkumpul, dianalisis melalui analisis ketuntasan belajar siswa, effect size dan N-Gain. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa model pembelajaran Problem Solving efektif meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa kelas XI TKR 2 di SMKN 3 Bungo dimana sebesar 91,67 % siswa dinyatakan telah tuntas berdasarkan KKM.

Abstract

This study will look for optimal results from using the type of spark plug, oil, and gasoline ethanol mixture to increase the temperature and mileage of a 4 stroke motorcycle using the Taguchi method, which this research can also be used as a reference for further researchers. The object of research in this study is a Yamaha Vega ZR 2010 modified injection system. Data collection is done directly, such as the temperature test is carried out with an engine speed of 5000 rpm with a span of 2 minutes each run, while for the mileage test using the full to full method. Based on the results of the research that has been done, the increase in temperature gets an optimal response, namely A1 (Nickel Spark Plug) SNR response (36.2803), B3 (Shell Advance Oil) SNR response (37.8012), C2 (Ethanol gasoline 75%: 25 %) SNR response (36,4388). As for the optimal response to mileage, the factors are A2 (Iridium Spark Plug) SNR response (28.5501), B2 (Federal Racing Oil) SNR response (28.5446), C3 (Ethanol Gasoline 80%:20%) SNR response (28, 5446).

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to identify the competencies of graduates of the Automotive Engineering Vocational High School, in accordance with the demands of the Industrial Revolution 4.0, who must have abilities in accordance with technological developments and the needs of the business and industrial world (DUDI). The research method was carried out by means of Literature Study. Based on the results of the study and analysis, the competencies that must be mastered by SMK graduates in the automotive engineering study program so that they are in accordance with the needs of DU/DI and the demands of the industrial revolution 4.0, must have two competencies, namely Soft Skill competencies and Technical Competences. Entrepreneurial Spirit Soft Skill Competence, which has: (1) Leadership spirit, (2) Able to understand digital technology, (3) Mastery of communication and information media, (4) Able to control emotions, (5) Creative, and Innovative, (6) Have broad insight, (7) Ability to think critically and be able to solve problems, (8) Able to collaborate and work in teams, (9) Able to understand cultural and cultural differences, (10) Able to develop a career and be confident. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengidentifikasi kompetensi lulusan Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan Program Studi Teknik Otomotif, sesuai dengan tuntutan Revolusi Industri 4.0, yang harus memiliki kemampuan sesuai dengan perkembangan teknologi dan kebutuhan dunia usaha dan dunia industri (DUDI). Metode penelitian dilakukan dengan Studi Literatur. Berdasarkan hasil kajian dan analisis, kompetensi yang harus dikuasai oleh lulusan SMK program studi teknik otomotif supaya sesuai dengan kebutuhan DU/DI dan tuntutan revolusi industri 4.0, harus mempunyai dua kompetensi, yaitu kompetensi Soft Skiil dan Kompetensi Teknis. Kompetensi Soft Skill jiwa kewirausahaan, yang memiliki: (1) Jiwa kepemimpinan, (2) Mampu memahami teknologi digital, (3) Menguasai media komunikasi dan informasi, (4) Mampu mengendalikan emosi, (5) Kreatif, dan Inovatif, (6) Mempunyai wawasan Luas, (7) Kemampuan berpikir kritis dan bisa memecahkan masalah, (8) Mampu berkolaborasi dan bekerja dalam tim, (9) Mampu memahami perbedaan kultur dan budaya, (10) Mampu mengembangkan karir dan percaya diri.

Abstract

This study aims to develop learning modules and produce effective modules in cooperative learning-based mechanical engineering drawing courses. The type of research used is development research, which we are more familiar with by the term Research & Development (R&D). This study uses the 4D model (four-D models). The 4D development procedures are Define, Design, Develop and Disseminate. The results of this study indicate that the difference in pretest and posttest learning outcomes is an increase of 19.4%, and seen from the aspect of learning activity, it is stated to be very high with an achievement percentage of 81.6%, it can be said that this development module is very effective in its application in engineering drawing courses machine. Based on the results of this study, it was concluded that the development of cooperative learning-based learning modules effectively improves student study results. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan modul pembelajaran dan menghasilkan modul yang efektif pada mata kuliah gambar teknik mesin berbasis cooperative learniang. Jenis penelitian yang dipakai adalah penelitian pengembangan yang lebih kita kenal dengan istilah Research & Development (R&D). Penelitian ini menggunakan model 4D (four-D models). Prosedur pengembangan 4D yaitu Define (pendefinisian), Design (Perancangan), Develop (Pengembangan) dan Disseminate (Penyebaran). Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa perbedaan hasil belajar pretest dan posttest terdapat peningkatan 19,4%, serta dilihat dari aspek aktivitas belajar dinyatakan sangat tinggi dengan persentase pencapaian 81,6%, maka dapat dikatakan modul pengembangan ini sangat efektif penerapanya di mata kuliah gambar teknik mesin. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini disimpulkan bahwa pengembangan modul pembelajaran berbasis cooperative learning ini efektif untuk untuk meningkatkan hasil studi peserta didik.

Abstract

Increased vehicle temperature during parking in the sun inconveniences the driver, passengers and can damage the interior of the vehicle, including the dashboard, seats and control panel. This study was conducted to test the temperature of the vehicle during parking in the sun. This study was to compare the test results on both treatments, namely avanza type G temperature 1.3 in 2010 and innova type G 2.0 in 2010. The data collection technique in this study was using thermocouple measuring instruments and data loggers. The results of this study indicate that the highest temperature increase obtained in the test was on the Avanza vehicle, and for the points with the highest temperature in the cabin, namely on sensor 1 and sensor 2. Peningkatan temperatur kendaraan selama parkir dibawah sinar matahari mengakibatkan ketidaknyamanan pengemudi, penumpang dan dapat merusak interior kendaraan, termasuk dashboard, kursi dan panel kendali. Pada penelitian ini dilakukan pengujian temperatur kendaraan selama parkir dibawah sinar matahari. Penelitian ini untuk membandingkan hasil pengujian pada kedua objek penelitian yaitu temperatur avanza tipe G 1.3 tahun 2010 dan innova tipe G 2.0 tahun 2010. Teknik pengumpulan data pada penelitian ini yaitu menggunakan alat ukur data logger yang dipasang pada empat titik dalam kabin kendaraan. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa kenaikan temperatur tertinggi yang didapatkan dalam pengujian yaitu pada kendaraan avanza, dan untuk titik dengan temperatur tertinggi didalam kabin yaitu pada sensor 1 dan sensor 2.
