Abstract

Cinema education has evolved significantly and become an effective medium in various fields, but comprehensive research analyzing its publication trends is still limited. This study uses a bibliometric analysis method with the PRISMA model to identify, select, and filter articles in Scopus-indexed journals from 1948 to 2024 (n= 650), with data analyzed using the VOSViewer application. The keywords used are cinema education, cinematherapy, film therapy, video therapy, cinema therapy, or video therapy. Results show a significant upward trend in publications on cinema education in the last decade, with a peak in the 2021-2023 period. The United States is the country with the largest contribution, followed by the United Kingdom and Israel. Lesley University was the affiliate that produced the most publications, while the University of Haifa had the highest number of citations. The journal "Arts in Psychotherapy" contributed the most publications on cinema education. Shoshi Keisari was identified as the researcher with the most publications, while David Read Johnson and Hod Orkibi had the greatest impact based on the number of citations. The findings also showed that the dominant themes in the publications were drama therapy, psychotherapy, and cinematherapy. This study provides important insights into the development, dynamics, and collaboration of research in cinema education, which can serve as a basis for researchers and practitioners in developing future research strategies and collaborations.

Abstract

Bullying in schools remains a serious problem that negatively impacts students' academic and psychological development. A safe and violence-free learning environment is crucial to supporting the achievement of national education goals, thus requiring effective interventions to reduce bullying behavior. This study aims to test the effectiveness of group counseling services using psychoeducational techniques based on the teachings of KH. Ahmad Dahlan in reducing bullying behavior. The scope of the study focuses on the application of peaceful values in junior high schools as a prevention strategy and as a positive character development strategy for students. This study used a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental non-equivalent control group design. The subjects were 14 students from Muhammadiyah Bantul Junior High School identified as having high levels of bullying. They were divided into an experimental group that received psychoeducational intervention and a control group with no treatment. The results showed a significant decrease in the experimental group's bullying scores after participating in five sessions of peaceful psychoeducation, from an average pretest of 97.1 to 59.4 on the posttest. In contrast, the control group experienced no significant changes, thus proving the effectiveness of the intervention. This study concludes that psychoeducation based on the teachings of KH. Ahmad Dahlan is effective in suppressing bullying behavior while fostering empathy and social awareness in students. These findings provide practical contributions to school guidance and counseling services and provide recommendations for integrating local wisdom values into bullying prevention strategies.

Abstract

This study examines the psychological impact of prolonged grief among families of coal mining pit drowning victims and evaluates the effectiveness of peace counseling as an intervention strategy. The study aims to assess whether structured counseling can reduce grief loss and support adaptive psychological adjustment. A quantitative quasi-experimental approach was employed using a Single Subject Research (SSR) A–B–A design involving two participants who were mothers of the victims. Data were collected using the Grief Losing Scale administered repeatedly across baseline (A1), intervention (B), and post-intervention (A2) phases. The intervention consisted of six structured peace counseling sessions focusing on emotional processing, reflection, and meaning reconstruction. The findings reveal a clear reduction in grief levels during the intervention phase, followed by stable patterns in the post-intervention phase, indicating both immediate and sustained effects. The results suggest that peace counseling effectively facilitates emotional regulation and supports the reconstruction of meaning in the grieving process. In conclusion, this study provides empirical support for the use of peace counseling as a targeted intervention for prolonged grief, particularly in contexts of traumatic loss, while highlighting the need for further research with larger samples and extended follow-up periods to enhance generalizability.

Abstract

The rapid advancement of artificial intelligence (AI) has significantly transformed educational practices, particularly in classroom learning environments. AI-powered technologies such as intelligent tutoring systems and generative AI platforms provide new opportunities for personalized learning, knowledge exploration, and academic support. However, the integration of AI in education also raises critical concerns regarding the reliability of AI-generated information and the risk of students becoming overly dependent on automated tools. This study explores the role of artificial intelligence as a learning companion in classroom contexts and examines how educators can cultivate growth mindset and critical thinking skills among students in AI-assisted learning environments. Using a qualitative literature-based approach, this study synthesizes recent research on AI in education, AI literacy, and growth mindset pedagogy published between 2022 and 2026. The study proposes a conceptual framework that integrates AI-assisted exploration, critical evaluation of AI-generated knowledge, and reflective learning practices aimed at developing growth mindset among students. The findings indicate that AI should not be viewed as a definitive source of knowledge but rather as a cognitive partner that supports idea generation, information exploration, and collaborative learning. At the same time, students must be trained to critically evaluate AI outputs because AI systems may produce inaccurate or biased information. By integrating growth mindset principles and AI literacy into classroom pedagogy, teachers can help students use AI responsibly while maintaining active intellectual engagement. This study contributes to ongoing discussions about the ethical and pedagogical implications of AI in education and proposes strategies for balancing technological innovation with human cognitive development.
