Abstract

The experiment  purposes  to observe  0(' (1)  the influence  of temperatureto the  [ensile strength   of  material.   (2) the  influence  of anneal  lime  to the tensile  strength  of material.   (3) the influence  (if temperature   to the torsion  modulus  (if material,   (4)  the  irfluence   (if anneal  lime  to  the torsion  modulus   of  material.   and  (5j  discover   the  material   that  has optimum  of tensile strength  and torsion  modulus.Sample  of the  experiment   is win! of  ion.  steel  and  copper  which  areannealed   011   temperature    of   15()°C,  25{)°C,  350°C,   45()"C,  550"C,650"C.  750°C. 850°C, and  950°Cfor   30 minutes.  Besides.  the wires are annealed  on temperature   350°Cfor    30.60,   9().120.  150. IBO. ]J()   and240  minutes.   The  tensile   strength   of  materials   is  measured   with  atensometer.   Tension  modulus   of  materials   is  measured   with  tension modulus  meter.Based   on  data   analysis    is  concluded    thai.   ( l )   Increasing    of  thetemperature   anneal  causes   decreasing   of  ttle  tensile  strength   of  the materials.   (2) increasing   of the  time  anneal  causes  decreasing   of the tensile  strength   (if  the  materials.    (3)  increasing   (if the  temperature anneal  causes  decreasing   of the torsion  modulus  of the materials.   (-/) increasing  of the anneal  time causes  decreasing  of the torsion  modulus of the materials.  and  (5) the optimum  tensile  strength  is the steel  which anneal   temperature    of  450°C  and  anneal   time   (if  30  minutes.   The optimum  torsion  modulus  is iron, which is not annealed.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the ability of creative thinking high school students in physics learning, know the form of assessment of creative thinking abilities. The study was conducted at SMAN 6 Yogyakrata. This type of research is a survey with a cross-sectional method that is a survey conducted once and at a time. The subjects were the principals, teachers of physics from SMAN 6 Yogyakrata and 30 grade XI students. observations, interviews, and questionnaires were used as data collection techniques. The data analysis method used was the quantitative-qualitative descriptive analysis. The results showed that the creative thinking ability of class XI MIA 1 students at SMAN 6 Yogyakarta can be said to be in the average and quite good category, although there are some students whose level of creative thinking ability is low. In addition, the form of assessment used by physics teachers has not been effective and accurate enough in assessing students 'creative thinking abilities. So it is recommended to use The Torrance Tests of Creative Thinking (TTCT) in physics learning because it has been proven to be accurate in assessing students' creative thinking abilities.

Abstract

Evaluation using computerized adaptive tests (CAT) is an alternative to paper-based tests (PBT). This study was aimed at mapping physics problem-solving skills using PhysProSS-CAT on the basis of the item response theory (IRT). The study was conducted inSleman Regency, Yogyakarta, involving 156 students of Grade XI of senior high school. Sampling was done using stratified random sampling technique. The results of the study show that the PhysProSS-CAT is able to accurately measure physics problem-solving skills. Students’ competences in physics problem solving can be mapped as 6% of the very high category, 4% of the high category, 36% of the medium category, 36% of the low category, and 18% of the very low category. This shows that the majority of the students’ competences in physics problem solving lies within the categories of medium and low.

Abstract

Education is now more demanding for students to think more at a higher and more complex level. Mind map also builds creativity because it is more flexible in expressing ideas. The result of need assessment was the teachers cannot put on equation about creative thinking in test because the input of heterogeneous students, but they carried out project and practicum assessments, which required relatively much time, place and equipment. Therefore, the researchers develop instruments for assessing students' creative thinking skills at the high-school level trough mind map on valid and reliable biology subjects so that teachers can use them as a more efficient assessment tool. This research employed research and development (RD) method; adapting ADDIE (Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation) model. Content validity was achieved using the Lawshe method; CVR formula, while the construct validity was achieved through exploratory factor analysis with the SPSS program and then confirm with confirmatory factor analysis using Lisrel program. It is found out that the construct validity was proven by the significant value of MSA and Loading Factor value. Suitability of the construct model with the data was indicate with p-value= 0.68 (≥0.05); Root Mean Square Error Approximation = 0.00 (≤0.08); and Goodness of Fit Index= 0.94 (0.90). The reliability of the instrument is 0.774, which means reliable. The assessment instrument of mind map product to assess creative thinking skill of students at the high school level in biology subjects has ten fit items in four factors; Flexibility, Elaboration, Originality, and Fluency.

Abstract

This research aimed to develop a physics problem-solving skill (PSS) test for grade X students of senior high school which met test instrument characteristics and feasibility. The development stages included: (a) test designing, (b) test trial, and (c) test revision and preparation. The designing stage included: (1) needs analysis, (2) mapping, (3) drawing conclusion, (4) determining test purpose, (5) determining competencies, (6) determining materials, (7) preparing answers, (8) writing items, (9) validating content, (10) improving and preparing the test, and (11) preparing the scoring guide with PCM. The trial stage consisted of: (1) determining trial subjects, (2) performing trial, and (3) analyzing trial result data based on IRT. The study was performed in Kulonprogo involving 281 students. The result shows that the instrument fulfills content validity with Aiken’s V of 0.95 to 0.98. Based on INFIT MNSQ criteria, 52 items fit PCM, item difficulty index ranges from -1.47 to 0.88, meaning that all items are good, and information function analysis and SEM show that the test  fits the ability between -1.3 and 2.7. Therefore, the test instrument meets the characteristics and feasibility to measure physics PSS in high school.

Abstract

The national examination of equivalency education is a competency test to equalize non-formal education with formal education. Departing from the importance of the quality and expectations of the national examination of equivalency education package C mathematics subjects and because the results are inseparable from the implementation process, developing an evaluation instrument to assess the implementation of the national examination of equivalency education package C mathematics subjects is important. The purpose of this study is to develop a suitable instrument for conducting an evaluation of the national examination implementation of the equivalency education package C mathematics subject. The respondents in this research are package C test takers in Bantul Regency, Yogyakarta. The data were analyzed by using SPSS 20.0 and Lisrel 8.54. The result of the analysis shows (1) based on the data obtained from respondents of try-out, the developed instrument is valid, reliable and qualified as a fit model; (2) components in the instrument of test takers is learning time, socialization, test materials, and test venue; and (3) the instrument have the validity value of 0.40 and reliability coefficient of 0.70.

Abstract

Studi ini bertujuan untuk mengestimasi validitas dan reliablitias konstruk instrumen skala sikap siswa terhadap fisika (SSF)  menggunakan analisis faktor konfirmatori. Subyek penelitian sebanyak 221 siswa SMA yang tersebar di provinsi Jawa Barat. Instrumen yang digunakan instrumen non tes berupa skala sikap siswa terhadap Fisika. Instrumen ini terdiri dari tiga komponen yaitu komponen Antusias Siswa Pada Fisika dan Pembelajarannya (AF), Guru Fisika (GF) dan  komponen Fisika Sebagai Bagian Karir di Masa Depan (KF). Hasil Penelitian menunjukkan ketiga komponen  memiliki validitas baik (loading factor diatas 0,70), meskipun ada sebagian kecil dibawah 0,7 tetapi masih dapat diterima karena memiliki nilai loading factor diatas 0,50. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan semua indikator ini memiliki validitas konstrak yang cukup baik. Analisis lanjutan pengujian reliabilitas konstruk menggunakan Composite Reliability (CR) dan   Average Variance Extarcted (AVE) menunjukkan bahwa semua dimensi SSF memiliki reliabilitas konstruk yang baik.

Abstract

Research development is done by quantitative approach that aims to: (1) Generate tools for the assessment of critical thinking ability; (2) Describe the quality of instruments developed to measure critical thinking skills. The study population is the XIP MIPA class of fourteen SMAN in Kendal District. The sample of the research was determined using purposive sampling technique which represented the school with high, medium, and low ranking criteria. Trial conducted on 201 learners. The test instrument was developed with a reasonable multiple choice form. Four categories of scores on each item correspond to the scoring of the PCM (Partial Credit Model) politomus model. Research data were analyzed using the help of EXCEL application, SPSS 16, QUEST and PARSCALE. The results showed that: (1) The critical thinking test instrument fulfilled the validity of the content of the expert judgment; (2) The test instrument with four categories of fit scores on the PCM model; (3) The test instrument has a high reliability value; (4) The test instrument has good difficulty level criteria; (5) Test instruments can be used to estimate critical thinking skills.

Abstract

Abstract: This study aimed to: (1) produce Physics Comprehensive and Contextual Teaching Material (PhysCCTM) which was reasonably for physics learning in SMA, and (2) examine the effectiveness of Physics Comprehensive and Contextual Teaching Material (PhysCCTM) to increase students Higher Order Thinking Skill (HOTS). This research used R&D methods with 4D models consisting of (1) Define, (2) Design, (3) Developt, and (4) Disseminate. The resulted product is PhysCCTM. The data were colleted by using an evaluation sheet of product, and test of HOTS. The data were analyzed using Aiken V to assess the product quality, and N-Gain analysis. The result of this research produced teaching material PhysCCTM which: (1) was reasonably to increase students HOTS with very good category based on expert, teachers, and good category based the response of students, and (2) effective to increase students HOTS significantly by effectivity on Partial Eta Squared in Multivariate Test with the value is 90,4%. Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan: (1) untuk menghasilkan Physics Comprehensive and Contextual Teaching Material (PhysCCTM) yang layak untuk pembelajaran fisika di SMA, dan (2) menguji efektivitas Physics Comprehensive and Contextual Teaching Material (PhysCCTM) dalam meningkatkan Higher Order Thingking Skill (HOTS) siswa SMA. Penelitian pengembangan ini menggunakan metode R&D dengan model 4D yang meliputi tahap (1) Define, (2) Design, (3) Develop, dan (4) Disseminate. Produk yang dihasilkan adalah PhysCCTM. Instrumen pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah lembar penilaian perangkat pembelajaran, dan lembar penilaian HOTS. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah Aiken V untuk melihat kualitas produk dan analisis General Linier Model (GLM). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa telah dihasilkan produk PhysCCTM yang: (1) layak digunakan untuk meningkatkan HOTS dengan kategori sangat baik berdasarkan penilaian ahli dan guru, serta kategori baik berdasarkan respon siswa, dan (2) efektif untuk meningkatkan HOTS siswa secara signifikan berdasarkan efektivitas pada Partial Eta Square di Multivariate Test dengan nilai 90,4%.

Abstract

Kegiatan Pengabdian Pada Masyarakat (PPM) ini berupa pelatihan penyusunan instrumen tes bagi guru SMP mata pelajaran IPA terpilih yang bertujuan untuk memberikan pemahaman dan pengalaman kepada guru tentang: 1) penyusunan soal berbasis High Order Thinking Skills, 2) penyusunan rancangan penilaian untuk kurikulum 2013, 3) penyusunan instrumen soal, dan 4) penganalisisan butir soal secara modern (Item Response Theory). Kegiatan PPM ini dilaksanakan dengan metode pelatihan, dilanjutkan dengan penugasan, dan pendampingan di sekolah. Kegiatan yang dilakukan terdiri atas pelatihan penyusunan rancangan penilaian dan kisi-kisi soal berbasis HOTS, pelatihan penyusunan penilaian K-13, praktik penyusunan soal, dan pelatihan analisis butir soal dengan menggunakan software ITEMAN dan Bilog MG. Khalayak sasaran dalam kegiatan ini adalah guru Sekolah Menegah Pertama (SMP) di Kabupaten Sleman Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta yang berjumlah 30 orang.  Hasil dari kegiatan PPM ini yakni: 1) memberikan pemahaman kepada guru IPA tentang prinsip-prinsip penyusunan instrumen tes yang baik, 2) memberikan pemahaman dan pengalaman kepada guru IPA dalam menyusun konstruk instrumen tes yang baik, 3) memberikan pemahaman dan pengalaman kepada guru dalam melakukan analisis butir soal secara IRT, dan 4) memberikan pemahaman dan pengalaman kepada guru dalam menganalisis kemampuan peserta tes dengan pendekatan IRT. Kata Kunci: pelatihan, pendampingan, penyusunan soal, guru SMP
