Abstract

General Background The increasing demand for renewable energy highlights the potential of biomass waste as a sustainable energy source. Specific Background Spent coffee grounds represent an abundant biomass material with high calorific potential, yet their utilization efficiency depends strongly on processing parameters during pelletization. Knowledge Gap Previous studies have not fully elucidated how compaction pressure and pressing duration affect the physicochemical characteristics of coffee-ground biopellets according to the SNI 8021:2014 standard. Aims This study investigates the effects of varying pressure (500, 750, and 1000 kgf) and pressing duration (30 s and 180 s) on the quality attributes of biopellets composed of 92.5% coffee waste and 7.5% tapioca adhesive. Results Findings indicate that higher pressure and longer pressing duration significantly improve density, reduce moisture and volatile matter, and enhance fixed carbon content, though the ash content remains above the acceptable limit. The optimal combination of 1000 kgf and 180 s produced biopellets meeting the SNI standards for calorific value and bound carbon. Novelty This research provides quantitative insights into the synergistic role of mechanical compaction and pressing time in optimizing biofuel quality from coffee waste. Implications The results support the advancement of circular bioenergy production in Indonesia by transforming coffee waste into high-quality renewable fuel. Highlights: High pressure and longer compression improve biopellet quality. Only 1000 kgf–180 s meets SNI standards for bound carbon and calorific value. Abstract

The addition of reflectors to solar panels is used to increase the intensity of sunlight received by solar panels so that the electrical power generated by the panels increases. In adding reflectors to solar panels, they must consider various factors to be able to increase the power generated without having a negative effect on solar panels , one of which is providing a cooling system. Therefore, research is needed to increase the power generated by solar panels and cooling systems that are suitable for overcoming rising temperatures due to the addition of reflectors. The study was conducted by varying the glass mirror reflector, aluminum foil reflector, angle of the reflector, and heatsink-fan cooling system. The research method used in this study was to compare 2 solar panel models, namely: solar panels with the addition of glass mirror reflectors / aluminum foil and heatsink-fan cooling systems, and solar panel models without any addition. The results show that the solar panel model with the addition of a glass mirror reflector / aluminum foil can increase the output power according to the angle of the reflector, the highest increase reaching 16.70% in the 450-angled aluminum foil mirror reflector. The heatsink cooling system is considered to be useful for reducing the temperature of solar panels, but the decrease is relatively small below 5%.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of solar irradiation and rotational speed on the efficiency of centrifugal submersible pumps in solar water pump systems. The research was conducted using measuring instruments such as the PS2-4000 Controller on a PATS system with a capacity of 5940 Wp, Autodesk Inventor 2022, Microsoft excel, and Rstudio. The independent variables used were the level of solar irradiation and rotational speed obtained every day for two weeks from 07.00 – 17.00. The dependent variable is obtained from a literature study and the PATS system used. The PATS system uses a LORENTZ PS2-4000 C-SJ17-4 centrifugal submersible pump and a PLTS with a capacity of 5940 Wp with a static head design of 20 m. Data collection was carried out based on actual data taken at the installation location of the PATS system and the velocity triangle analysis approach based on pump geometry. Data collection at the location was carried out using the pump controller PS2-4000 and COMPASS software. Data processing is done using Excel and Rstudio software. The results of data processing will be presented in the form of a curve that explains the relationship between the two or three variables studied. Based on this curve, results and conclusions can be obtained regarding the effect of solar irradiation and rotational speed on the efficiency of centrifugal submersible pumps in solar water pump systems. Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to analyze the role of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) in preventing bullying behavior and creating an inclusive school environment at the elementary school level. The research method used at Sekolah Islam Terpadu (SIT) Insantama is a case study with a descriptive qualitative approach. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation. The analysis was conducted descriptively using a thematic approach to identify the contribution of Islamic Religious Education in developing religious character and preventing bullying. The results show that the consistent application of Islamic values in all aspects of the school, through the Bina Saksiyah Islam program and the integration of religious values into general subjects, significantly contributes to creating a safe, religious, and inclusive environment. Collaboration between Islamic Religious Education teachers and other subject teachers is key to the success of bullying prevention. Keywords: Islamic Religious Education, bullying, religious character, school environtment, inclusive. Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis peran Pendidikan Agama Islam dalam mencegah perilaku bullying dan menciptakan lingkungan sekolah yang inklusif di Sekolah Dasar. Metode penelitian yang digunakan pada Sekolah Islam Terpadu (SIT) Insantama adalah studi kasus dengan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Analisis dilakukan secara deskriptif dengan menggunakan pendekatan tematik untuk mengidentifikasi kontribusi Pendidikan Agama Islam dalam pembentukan karakter religius serta pencegahan bullying.  Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan nilai-nilai Islam secara konsisten di semua aspek sekolah, melalui program Bina Sakhsiyah Islam dan integrasi nilai agama dalam mata pelajaran umum, berkontribusi signifikan dalam menciptakan lingkungan yang amana, religius, dan inklusif. Kolaborasi antara guru PAI dan guru mata pelajaran lain menjadi kunci keberhasilan pencegahan bullying. Kata Kunci: Pendidikan Agama Islam, bullying, karakter religius, lingkungan sekolah, inklusif

Abstract

Short stories as a form of literary work provide various inspirations and views on life. The various imaginative things that are channeled can then provide various experiences for the reader. The aim of the research is a scientific journal article that analyzes the ethics of the characters in the September 2023 edition of the Jawa Pos short story collection. The method used is qualitative research. The data taken is short stories from the Jawa Pos newspaper in September 2023 and several poems. Next, collect data, analyze, and interpret the data and draw conclusions. The research results show that the data findings obtained are as follows; show respect for others, do not look down on others, behave politely, respect differences of opinion, help others in need. So, in the end, studying short stories can provide life lessons related to ethics.

Abstract

One of the fundamental problems in mobile robotics is a robot path planning of the mobile robot through its environment. Path planning problem for the mobile robot with differential constraints using modified RRT (Rapidly exploring random tree) algorithm based on Dubin’s curves. the planning problem is considered as a problem of finding a feasible path between the initial and goal point in a static environment with obstacles. This process can be conducted either using local information from sensors or by emloying global a-priori known information about robot’s environment. The problem is how to generate a path from the beginning to the destination point gradually during movement using modified RRT (Rapidly exploring random tree) algorithm based on Dubin’s curves. Combining the dubin curve RRT* algorithm with A* is a new method that can calculate the entire path from the starting point of the destination before moving using global information about the map. The purpose of making the path is to make it easier for the operator to determine the path that must be traversed by the robot. The way the robot works is to read the line made by the operator using matlab based on the map, then matlab will calculate the distance of the path to be traversed using an algorithm from the star point to the goal point. Based on the simulation results that have been carried out this method is more efficient when compared to the RRT* or A* algorithms. because this algorithm can produce a path with the shortest path with a fast time to get to the destination point without crashing into obstacles. By adding a new algorithm to find a new path optimally to get a path that is close to optimal by combining and adjusting several feasible paths and also adding a searching-based algorithm, namely A* combined with Dubin Curve- RRT* is sampling based, where the A* algorithm has a function heuristic used to increase the cost and time of searching.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the potential of biochar on the mobility of mercury (Hg) in polluted soil planted with mustard greens (Brasicca juncea) and to determine the growth response of mustard greens (Brasicca juncea) in absorbing mercury (Hg). This study used the experimental method, which is a method that aims to examine the effect of biochar application at various doses on the mobility of mercury using the indicator plant mustard greens (Brasicca juncea L) in mercury (Hg) polluted soil. This experiment was carried out from March to June 2023 in the Greenhouse of the Faculty of Agriculture, University of Mataram. Soil samples were collected in Pelangan Village, Sekotong District, West Lombok Regency at several points near the gold processing unit. The samples were taken at top soil of 30 cm with a distance of 100 cm from the processing site then composited. Soilschemical properties including concentration of Hg before and after experiments were measured. Agronomic variables include fresh and dry weight of roots, total dry weight of and concentration of Hg) in plant tissue were also measured. The results of the study showed that the application of rice biochar reduced mobility of Hg in soils. The concentration of extractable-Hg in biochar-treated soils were lower compared to control. This is likely related to the potential adsorption of a number of IHg and MeHg by the negative surface of the biochar and also the formation of association of Hg bonds with the functional groups of the biochar. However, this needs further confirmation.

Abstract

Penelitian ini membahas mengenai Pemutusan Hubungan Kerja (PHK) adalah pemutusan hubungan kerja yang dilakukan oleh pekerja dan pemberi kerja disebabkan karena suatu hal tertentu dan mengakibatkan berakhirnya kontrak kerja atau hak dan kewajiban pekerja tersebut. Tempat penelitian yang dibahas yakni Al-Hasyimiyah Boutique Store yang merupakan Usaha Mikro Kecil Menengah yang berada dibawah Pondok Pesantren Nurul Jadid. Rumusan masalah adalah mengapa pekerja menyetujui Perjanjian Kerja Waktu Tidak Tertentu (PKWTT) dan bagaimana implementasi hukum Undang-Undang Nomor 13 Tahun 2003 tentang ketenagakerjaan. Metode penelitian yang dipakai dalam penelitian ini yakni Metode Kualitatif Deskriptif. Dengan melakukan cara wawancara dan observasi secara langsung kepada pegawai Al-Hasyimiyah Boutique Store. Hasil dari penelitian ini yakni Bahwasannya para anggota Al-Hasyimiyah Boutique Store memahami tentang pentingnya perjanjian tertulis dalam hubungan kerja. Namun dari hasil penelitian bahwa Usaha Mikro Kecil Menengah  yang berada dilingkup pesantren ini tidak mematuhi tata cara dan prosedur pemutusan hubungan kerja yang terdapat dalam Undang-Undang Nomor 13 tahun 2003 tentang ketenagakerjaan yang tidak dipatuhi. Dari pihak karyawan tidak ada tuntutan hak atas PHK yang dilakukan oleh pihak Usaha Mikro Kecil Menengah sesuai dengan Undang-Undang Nomor 13 Tahun 2003. Hal ini dikarenakan mereka telah mengetahui dan memahami bahwa mereka bekerja untuk pesantren dan hal tersebut merupakan bentuk kepatuhan terhadap pesantren.

Abstract

Akses pangan berkaitan dengan kemampuan keluarga dalam memenuhi kebutuhan konsumsi pangan yang merupakan faktor langsung yang mempengaruhi masalah kesehatan dan gizi keluarga termasuk masalah stunting. Penelitian ini bertujuan: 1)Mengkaji pendapatan dan akses pangan rumah tangga pada lokus stunting di Kabupaten Tolitoli, 2) Menganalisis dan mengidentifikasi kondisi ketahanan pangan rumahtangga pada lokus stunting di Kabupaten Tolitoli. Metode pengambilan data menggunakan teknik kuantitatif dan kualitatif melalui survei, wawancara, observasi langsung, serta diskusi terfokus. Penentuan responden menggunakan tehnik PPS (Probability Proportionate to size) pada dua desa dengan tingkat prevalensi stunting tertinggi di Kecamatan Dampal Selatan, Kabupaten Tolitoli. Metode analisis yang digunakan adalah analisis pendapatan dan analisis ketahanan pangan. Hasil penelitian menunjukan pendapatan rumahtangga responden di lokasi penelitian 70,87% (Rp 991.667/bulan) bersumber dari kegiatan pertanian namun tergolong rendah (Rp 33.055/hari) untuk memenuhi kebutuhan pangan dan gizi keluarga. Akses pangan responden berdasarkan serapan energi berada dalam kondisi masih “kurang” yakni dibawah angka tetapan serapan energi sebesar 2.150 kkal/kap/hari. Sedangkan ketahanan rumahtangga yang diukur dari Pangsa Pengeluaran Pangan menunjukkan rumahtangga responden di lokus stunting tersebut tergolong dalam kategori “tidak tahan pangan”.

Abstract

Abstract: The term creative economy was first introduced by John Howkins in 2001. Starting in 1997, at that time John Howkins realized there was a change in the economic industry based on people's creativity. The creative economy in the digital era is currently growing, besides offering opportunities, it also creates competition. In Situbondo Regency, the culinary world and its actors receive special attention in facing competition. One of the steps taken by the Tourism, Youth and Sports Service is to hold culinary business development training. So the authors are interested in conducting this research which aims to find out how training in culinary development influences creative economic growth. This study uses quantitative methods with simple linear regression analysis. Data collection through observation, questionnaires and documentation. Questionnaires were distributed to 40 culinary business development training participants. Based on the results of the t test, the t count value is 2.209 > t table 2.024, so it can be concluded that culinary business development training has a positive effect on creative economic growth in Situbondo Regency. Meanwhile, based on the results of the R2  test analysis, it shows that the r square value is 0.486, which means that culinary business development training has an effect on creative economic growth of 48.6% and the remaining 51.4% is influenced by other variables outside of this study. Keywords: Training, Culinary Business Development, Creative Economy
