Abstract

Today's technological growth is very rapid, companies continue to develop in technological innovation in their products. At the same time, it is necessary to increase adequate energy such as electric power, chemical power, and renewable alternative fuels to replace diesel oil, namely Biodiesel. As of January 2020, the government has implemented a fuel mixture for the transportation sector containing 30% biodiesel in diesel oil. There are many types of biodiesel processing technologies, including non-catalyst technology. This technology only requires raw materials in the form of oil and methanol, without using a catalyst. The use of methanol in the form of superheated vapor in a non-catalyzed response requires equipment that can replace liquid methanol into superheated methanol vapor. The conversion of methanol to superheated methanol in this research was carried out using a methanol preheater based on a design from previous research using the ChemCAD application. namely heating methanol indirectly through a heating fluid in the form of Mobiltherm 605 thermal oil. With mobiltherm hot at a temperature of 50ºC, the pump performance results are obtained with Capacity (Q) 0.0003 m^3/s, Head (H) 0.019 m, Power hydraulic (N_h) 119 watts, and efficiency (η) 95.2%. The greater the value of the density of the fluid, the greater the power used. In the case of Mobiltherm, which has a different fluid viscosity from water, the hydraulic power and efficiency obtained are also high. The mobiltherm 605 heat transfer rate is 35% through the double pipe annulus and the methanol temperature rate through the double pipe inner pipe

Abstract

This study aims to explore and explain the strengths of social capital elements as reinforcers of local wisdom identity among the fishing community in Muara Badak Ulu Village, Muara Badak District, Kutai Kartanegara Regency. Fishermen, particularly traditional ones, face high risks at sea, with no guarantee of a catch to support their socio-economic needs. The local wisdom, deeply rooted in the fishing culture, is a key component of the social capital within this community. Social capital functions to enhance societal efficiency by facilitating coordinated actions through trust, norms, and networks. This research adopts a qualitative exploratory method, focusing on the core concepts of social capital: trust, norms, and networks. Data analysis is conducted using the interactive model of Miles, Huberman, and Saldana (2014), which involves data collection, data display, and drawing and verifying conclusions. The findings reveal that social capital is crucial in strengthening the local wisdom identity of the fishing community in Muara Badak Ulu. Trust among fishermen is vital, especially when at sea, and extends to local institutions, which provide necessary support such as funding, safety equipment, and boat engines, thereby forming networks. These networks, in turn, help preserve local wisdom traditions. Social norms also play a significant role by imposing social sanctions that prevent deviant behavior within the fishing groups and the broader community, thus reinforcing values like family, cooperation, and mutual aid.

Abstract

Abstract

The traditional methods of vote counting and recapitulation, which include manual and layered processes, are important to ensuring data security and addressing a lack of understanding of public information technology. However, it is essential to quickly and properly disseminate election results among an increasing number of survey findings within the community. Despite this contradictory scenario, it is imperative to employ information technology tools like SITUNG and SIREKAP to ensure transparent dissemination of election outcomes. The study applies a descriptive qualitative approach, collecting primary and secondary data sources including official documents, journal articles, and textbooks. By using three analysis techniques; first, by tabulating the data; second, to categorize the data; third, interpreting the findings based on the theoretical and construction of the data. The results of this study showed three main challenges to the use of digital-based recapitulation: first, the lack of a clear legal basis for the SITUNG and SIREKAP applications, which has triggered criticism from election participants and observers; second, incomplete system support characterized by limited network connectivity, which has created difficulties for field operators in the local level; and third, inappropriate data management in the SITUNG and SIREKAP applications, which included incorrect data entry. Election organizers should be aware that technology-based recapitulation data can become digital evidence for contesting parties in election courts.

Abstract

Purpose: To be able to compete with other companies, it is necessary to estimate and forecast jeans products that will be ordered according to consumer demand every month, so that there is no excess inventory and product shortage. If there is a shortage of goods, the consumer will be disappointed with the seller, and vice versa if the goods are overstocked, the quality will continue to decline to the detriment of the seller and the buyer, resulting in a shortage of materials.Methodology: To overcome the problem of selling jeans products, the ARIMA method is suitable to overcome the problem of forecasting the stock of jeans sales. ARIMA model is a model that completely ignores the independent variables in making forecasts. ARIMA uses past and present values of the dependent variable to produce accurate short-term forecasting. Results: The built forecasting has a MAPE accuracy rate of 17.05% so it can be said that predicting has good results according to the criteria. Forecasting results in the following year show that sales tend to increase from the previous year.Originality: This research was conducted using sales data of jeans products at company XYZ and using the ARIMA method which previous researchers have never done.

Abstract

Purpose: Social media, particularly Twitter, provides a venue for individuals to share their thoughts. The public's perception of mental illnesses is often debated on Twitter. So yet, no evaluation of community tweets connected to data on mental health conditions has been performed. The purpose of this study is to examine tweets linked to mental illnesses in Indonesia in order to identify the themes of conversation and the polarity trends of these tweets.Design/methodology/approach: To address this issue, the K-Means Clustering algorithm is utilized to aggregate tweet data that is used to find themes of conversation. The emotion polarity value of each cluster result was then determined using the Support Vector Machine (SVM) approach.Findings/results: This study generated five topic clusters based on tweets about mental illness. While sentiment analysis revealed that all clusters had more negative sentiment classes than positive. Cluster 4 and Cluster 5 had the highest number of negative sentiment values. These clusters emphasize the necessity of consulting with psychiatrists and psychologists if people have mental health disorders, as well as financing for mental health disorder treatment through BPJS Kesehatan services.Originality/value/state of the art: The analysis was done in two stages: data grouping to find themes of conversation using K-Means clustering and SVM to look for positive and negative polarity values associated to twitter data about mental illness.

Abstract

This study examines the significance of campaign fund management in the implementation of elections in Indonesia, specifically in the 2014, 2019, and 2024 general elections. Based on existing regulations, such as Law No. 7 of 2017 and General Election Commission Regulation (PKPU) No. 18 of 2023, campaign funds are a strategic element supporting various campaign activities, including the production of promotional materials, logistics, and campaign events. However, the implementation of these regulations faces several challenges, particularly regarding the transparency of fund reporting and oversight of social media campaigns. Through an analysis of campaign fund receipts and expenditures by political parties participating in the elections, this study finds that the size of campaign funds does not always correlate directly with electoral success. Success in elections is also determined by effective campaign strategies, candidate integrity, and the relevance of political programs. Furthermore, the complexity of the digital era introduces new challenges in overseeing campaign funds, such as the proliferation of anonymous accounts on social media that are difficult to monitor. This study recommends strengthening the role of oversight bodies such as the General Election Commission (KPU) and the Election Supervisory Body (Bawaslu) through the establishment of specialized digital monitoring subunits and the development of data-driven technology. These steps are expected to enhance transparency, accountability, and public trust in the electoral process while ensuring the integrity of democracy in Indonesia.
