Abstract

Coal quality assessment is crucial for determining its suitability as a fuel for power generation and industrial applications. Such evaluation generally involves proximate and ultimate analyses. The proximate analysis provides information on moisture, volatile matter, fixed carbon, and ash content, whereas the ultimate analysis identifies elemental composition such as carbon, hydrogen, oxygen, nitrogen, and sulfur. Geological factors, including age, temperature, and pressure during formation, strongly influence coal quality. This study aims to evaluate the effect of particle size on coal quality using grain sizes of 40 and 60 mesh, analyzed according to ASTM standard procedures. The results indicate that coal with a grain size of 40 mesh contains, on average, 22.22% moisture, 5.83% ash, 37.54% volatile matter, and 34.15% fixed carbon. In contrast, coal with a grain size of 60 mesh exhibits 20.45% moisture, 6.80% ash, 42.77% volatile matter, and 29.99% fixed carbon. These findings highlight the significant influence of particle size on the proximate characteristics of coal, which can affect its combustion behavior and potential applications in power plants and other industries

Abstract

In Indonesia, the development of its educational curriculum is based on the philosophical foundation of Pancasila as the state ideology, which essentially serves as a medium for the transfer and realization of Pancasila values into educational practice and learning. The main mission and position of educators are to instill, form, fill, develop, expand, refine, and pass on cultural values, knowledge, morals, attitudes, skills, and technology to students and society. To meet the above demands, Indonesia has continuously developed its educational curriculum over time, supplemented by supporting tools such as mastery of various facts, concepts, principles, norms, ideas, procedures, and various scientific abilities, as well as various life skills, both written and digital, which exist within the context of learning literacy. The development and formulation of this curriculum depend on state policies that continuously adapt to global developments and changes.

Abstract

The utilization of pineapple leaf fiber is still relatively small, only used as a basic material for various types of furniture products, fabrics for fashion products, crafts and composites as forming materials. This study aims to analyze the tensile strength of pineapple leaf fiber composites with variations in volume fractions using clear polyester resin. In this study, composites were made using three different volume fractions, namely 60% fiber: 40% resin, 70% fiber: 30% resin, and 85% fiber: 15% resin. After the test specimen manufacturing process, the specimens were then tested for tensile strength on each volume fraction. The results of this study indicate variations in tensile strength on each volume fraction used, where using a volume fraction of 85% fiber: 15% resin produces higher tensile strength compared to the volume fraction of 60% fiber: 40% resin and 70% fiber: 30% resin. Pineapple leaf fiber reinforced composites with variations in the volume fraction of pineapple leaf fiber 60%: resin 40%, pineapple leaf fiber 70%: resin 30%, and pineapple leaf fiber 85%: resin 15%. From the percentage variations, the highest tensile strength is in pineapple leaf fiber 85%: resin 15% with an average value of 105.69 MPa, elastic modulus strength of 1571 MPa, and elongation of 6.74%. While the lowest tensile strength value is in pineapple leaf fiber 60%: resin 40%, with an average value of 74.30 MPa, elastic modulus strength of 1231 MPa, and elongation of 6.04%, it can be concluded that the higher the percentage of fiber, the higher the tensile strength value. Variations in the volume fraction of pineapple leaf fiber can affect the mechanical properties of clear polyester resin composites. The composite strength value often increases with the increase in the fiber volume fraction. However, a high fiber volume fraction does not always have a good effect on the strength of the composite. The strength of the composite is not only influenced by the number of fibers but is also influenced by the binding factor, namely the matrix.

Abstract

Energi fosil merupakan energi yang sangat banyak digunakan nelayan untuk mencari ikan tetapi ketersediaan untuk bahan bakar fosil terus semakin menipis. Energi terbarukan metode sel volta yang memanfaatkan air laut dapat digunakan sebagai salah satu pemenuhan energi alternatif. Sel volta merupakan sel yang dapat mengubah energi kimia menjadi energi listrik melalui mekanisme reaksi redoks yang berlangsung secara spontan. Penelitian ini hanya sebatas uji coba. Sehingga, dalam penelitiannya air laut diganti menggunakan air garam. Pemilihan elektrode sangat berpengaruh untuk mendapatkan tegangan sumber yang besar. Sehingga, sel volta akan dirangkai seri untuk mendapatkan tegangan 13-14V mengikuti prinsip kerja battery. Dalam proses battery charging dengan sumber listrik yang berasal dari sel volta tentunya diperlukan sebuah alat kontrol yang berfungsi mengatur sistem pengisian energi listrik yang biasa disebut charge controller. Sistem pengendalian yang digunakan pada battery charging sel volta ini yaitu konverter DC-DC jenis buck dengan metode kontrol PID menggunakan Arduino Uno. Konverter Buck bekerja sebagai penurun dan penstabil tegangan keluaran dari sel volta sesuai dengan standart pengisian akumulator. Pada skripsi ini akan mendesain dan membuat sebuah alat penelitian konversi energi sel volta ke listrik, harapannya dengan metode yang digunakan, sel volta pada parameter tertentu dapat menambah energi listrik pada perahu nelayan.

Abstract

Pergaulan bebas merupakan tantangan besar bagi remaja di era modern karena dapat merusak moral dan kepribadian mereka. Untuk mengatasi masalah ini, dilakukan program edukasi islami berbasis pendekatan Asset-Based Community Development (ABCD) di kelas 3 MTs Mambaus Sholihin, Balongpanggang, Gresik. Program ini bertujuan untuk membina remaja agar memiliki karakter yang tangguh, bermoral, dan mampu menolak pengaruh negatif pergaulan bebas. Pendekatan ABCD digunakan untuk mengidentifikasi potensi dan aset komunitas yang ada, serta melibatkan guru dan pemateri sebagai bagian dari proses pembelajaran. Kegiatan ini menanamkan nilai-nilai disiplin, tanggung jawab, dan kontrol diri pada siswa. Berdasarkan evaluasi, hasil program menunjukkan bahwa pembinaan ini efektif dalam membentuk karakter siswa yang berakhlak, sadar akan bahaya pergaulan bebas, serta memiliki kesadaran tinggi untuk menanggulangi pengaruh negatif di lingkungan sekitar. Selain itu, siswa juga menunjukkan kesiapan untuk menjadi generasi cerdas yang memiliki integritas. Program ini diharapkan dapat berlanjut dan memberikan bekal moral serta spiritual yang kuat bagi remaja, terutama dalam menghadapi tantangan kehidupan bermasyarakat di masa depan.

Abstract

Dusun Glee Madat, desa Paloh Lada, terletak di kecamatan Dewantara, Kabupaten Aceh Utara, provinsi Aceh, Indonesia. Mayoritas penduduknya bekerja sebagai buruh tani, buruh cuci, buruh kasar, dan PNS. Perekonomian dusun ini masih rendah, dengan tingkat kesejahteraan masyarakatnya terbagi menjadi keluarga berkecukupan/kaya, keluarga sedang, dan keluarga miskin. Meskipun demikian, masyarakat dusun Madat tetap berupaya mendapatkan makanan sehat dan bergizi. Salah satu solusi yang ditawarkan pada PKM ini adalah dengan membuat olahan nugget rumah tangga dengan varian manis, gurih, dan vegetarian yang terjangkau dan bergizi. Dengan menggunakan bahan-bahan sederhana seperti daging ayam, ikan, sayur-sayuran, dan pisang masyarakat dapat menentukan bahan-bahan yang akan digunakan dengan memperhatikan aspek kesehatan. Olahan nugget secara rumahan juga memberikan kesempatan untuk bereksperimen dengan rasa dan bentuk yang berbeda sesuai dengan selera masing-masing. Masyarakat dusun Glee Madat diedukasi untuk fleksibel menambahkan sayuran, rempah-rempah, atau bahan lainnya dalam nugget rumah tangga, sehingga menghasilkan makanan yang lebih sehat dengan kandungan serat, vitamin, dan mineral yang diperlukan. Selain itu, nugget rumahan memungkinkan mereka mengontrol nutrisi yang dikonsumsi dengan memilih bahan-bahan segar dan mengurangi penggunaan bahan pengawet atau tambahan lainnya. Dengan menggunakan olahan nugget rumahan, masyarakat dusun Glee Madat dapat memenuhi kebutuhan makanan sehat dan bergizi secara terjangkau, meningkatkan kualitas hidup, dan memberikan asupan gizi yang baik kepada keluarga mereka. Melalui transfer ilmu ini, diharapkan dapat mengatasi permasalahan yang dialami masyarakat dusun Glee Madat. Solusi tersebut meliputi edukasi tentang proses pembuatan nugget dengan varian manis dan gurih untuk memenuhi kebutuhan gizi seimbang terutama untuk anak-anak. Varian vegetarian juga diperkenalkan sebagai alternatif makanan rendah kolesterol dan asam urat. Selain itu, juga dilakukan sosialisasi mengenai peluang pembentukan unit usaha penjualan nugget olahan rumah tangga dalam bentuk beku (frozen).

Abstract

Sengketa penguasaan dan pembangunan rumah di atas tanah milik orang lain merupakan permasalahan hukum yang kompleks dan memerlukan penyelesaian yang adil. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji dasar hukum perlindungan terhadap pemilik tanah serta mekanisme penyelesaian sengketa yang tersedia di Indonesia. Dengan menggunakan metode yuridis normatif, penelitian ini menganalisis peraturan perundang-undangan seperti UUPA, KUHPerdata, dan KUHP, serta studi kasus untuk memahami implementasi hukum dalam praktik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemilik tanah memiliki perlindungan hukum yang kuat melalui jalur litigasi maupun non-litigasi, termasuk mediasi dan arbitrase. Namun, kendala seperti lemahnya penegakan hukum, birokrasi yang lambat, dan kurangnya kesadaran masyarakat masih menjadi hambatan utama. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan reformasi sistem administrasi pertanahan, peningkatan kesadaran hukum masyarakat, serta penguatan penegakan hukum untuk menciptakan keadilan dan kepastian hukum dalam penyelesaian sengketa tanah. Abstract

This study aims to examine various aspects of elections in Indonesia, encompassing electoral design, the application of information technology, budget allocation, and various issues in the 2019 General Election and the 2020 Election, with the objective of reflecting and evaluating the implementation of the 2024 General Election. The research was conducted using a qualitative approach and descriptive analysis, where primary data were collected through in-depth interviews with stakeholders involved in the general elections and regional elections, as well as through observations and documentation studies. The results indicate that a lack of focus on law enforcement aspects during the legislative process is the primary cause of these issues. Furthermore, several norms were identified as being less practical when applied in the field. These findings underscore the need for clarification and harmonization in Indonesia's election legislation.

Abstract

Background: Higher-Level Thinking Skills (HOTS) are thinking abilities that need not only the ability to remember, but also the ability to think creatively and critically. Research Objectives: This study identifies and analyzes the level of questions on the Islamic education Examination and analyzes the standardization of question items using the Rasch model technique. Methods: Mixed method for analyzing document data with 160 multiple-choice questions. A quantitative approach was utilized to assess the quality of standard questions based on 31 students' accessible answer data. The document data was examined logically utilizing Bloom's Taxonomy Theory. Meanwhile, the data from students' answers was evaluated using the Item Response Theory (IRT) 1-parameter logistic model, also known as the Rasch model Conclusions: The result shows that many PAI subject questions are still at the LOTS level. Meanwhile, in terms of the quality of the item test using the Rasch model approach, it was found that many items were still not fit, even though in general the reliability of the items was categorized as quite good.

Abstract

Today's technological growth is very rapid, companies continue to develop in technological innovation in their products. At the same time, it is necessary to increase adequate energy such as electric power, chemical power, and renewable alternative fuels to replace diesel oil, namely Biodiesel. As of January 2020, the government has implemented a fuel mixture for the transportation sector containing 30% biodiesel in diesel oil. There are many types of biodiesel processing technologies, including non-catalyst technology. This technology only requires raw materials in the form of oil and methanol, without using a catalyst. The use of methanol in the form of superheated vapor in a non-catalyzed response requires equipment that can replace liquid methanol into superheated methanol vapor. The conversion of methanol to superheated methanol in this research was carried out using a methanol preheater based on a design from previous research using the ChemCAD application. namely heating methanol indirectly through a heating fluid in the form of Mobiltherm 605 thermal oil. With mobiltherm hot at a temperature of 50ºC, the pump performance results are obtained with Capacity (Q) 0.0003 m^3/s, Head (H) 0.019 m, Power hydraulic (N_h) 119 watts, and efficiency (η) 95.2%. The greater the value of the density of the fluid, the greater the power used. In the case of Mobiltherm, which has a different fluid viscosity from water, the hydraulic power and efficiency obtained are also high. The mobiltherm 605 heat transfer rate is 35% through the double pipe annulus and the methanol temperature rate through the double pipe inner pipe
