Abstract

Community service activities with the theme of Socialization of women's empowerment in supporting micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) were carried out in Karang Tunggal Village, Mekar Jaya Hamlet, RT 09, Tenggarong Seberang District together with local mothers. The time for this activity was Saturday, December 7, 2024 at 09.00 until finished. This activity went well and received a warm and enthusiastic welcome from the participating mothers. The objectives of this community service are; (1) Through PKM, the role of women in supporting MSMEs in Karang Tunggal Village, Mekar Jaya Hamlet 09 can be identified (2) Discussion of risks and obstacles and solutions so that women can play a role in developing MSMEs in Karang Tunggal Village, Mekar Jaya Hamlet 09. The PKM activity method used was discussion and question and answer. The hope of the community service activity in the form of Socialization of women's empowerment in supporting micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) of the mothers of Dusun Mekar Jaya RT.09 can provide motivation to be more involved in improving the family economy, especially through simple MSME activities and motivated to increase knowledge and insight into entrepreneurship, especially women.

Abstract

Insurance Administration Organization, which can be used by all people. However, this organization has received various criticisms from the public through social media, namely Twitter. This study aims to analyze public sentiment about the Indonesian Social Insurance Administration Organization on Twitter. The method used in this research is the Naive Bayes Classifier (NBC) method and uses the Support Vector Machine (SVM) method as a comparison. The amount of data used was 12,990 tweets with a data collection period from September 14, 2019 - February 18, 2020. The study compared the two classifier models built, namely the classifier model with two sentiment classes and four sentiment classes. The accuracy results show that the SVM method has a better accuracy value than the NBC method. SVM has an accuracy value of 63.60% and 82.77% for the two sentiment classes in the four sentiment classifier model. The tweet classification results show that the public's conversation about the Indonesian Social Insurance Administration Organization on Twitter has a negative polarity value tendency.

Abstract

Samarinda continues to develop towards its vision as a "city center of civilization." One key effort in strengthening its tourism sector is Kampung Ketupat Samarinda Seberang, an iconic destination that blends Banjar and Bugis cultures. This study employs a qualitative exploratory approach to analyze the role of the Pentahelix elements—government, academia, community, media, and business—in shaping tourism policies for Kampung Ketupat. The analysis follows the interactive model by Miles, Huberman, and Saldana (2014), consisting of data condensation, data display, and conclusion drawing and verification. The government plays a crucial role in transforming Kampung Ketupat from a small home-based business into a leading tourist destination in Samarinda, officially recognized with a tourism award in 2023. Academics, including lecturers and researchers, contribute through the Community-Based Tourism (CBT) concept, implemented by Pokdarwis and residents, along with the "Kotaku" program from the Samarinda City Government. Strategic collaboration was strengthened by the visit of the Deputy Chairperson of Commission X of the Indonesian House of Representatives and the Director of Regional Destination Development II from the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy. This facilitated synergy between the East Kalimantan Provincial Tourism Office, the Samarinda City Tourism, Youth, and Sports Office, travel agencies, the Indonesian Tour Guide Association (HPI), and the Samarinda CSR Forum. Both mass media and social media play a vital role in promoting Kampung Ketupat, enhancing its appeal as a cultural and economic tourism destination. With the collective support of all Pentahelix elements, Kampung Ketupat continues to grow as a sustainable tourism icon in Samarinda.

Abstract

This study examines the role of TikTok in digital democracy, particularly its impact on political and social dynamics. Using a descriptive qualitative method, the study analyzes how TikTok, through features like the "for your page" algorithm and two-way interactions, influences the spread of political information and the formation of public opinion. Through literature reviews, interviews with experts, and content analysis of TikTok, this research highlights how the platform can be used for political and radical propaganda, as well as how it addresses content oversight issues. The findings indicate both opportunities and challenges in using social media for politics, offering recommendations for digital media literacy and strategies to confront disinformation, and contribute to the understanding of the interaction between technology, politics, and society in an evolving context.

Abstract

The application of the fair use doctrine in software development in Indonesia still faces significant challenges, both in terms of regulation and law enforcement. The absence of specific arrangements in the Copyright Law leads to legal uncertainty that can hamper innovation in the technology sector. In the digital era, a balanced copyright policy is needed to support the growth of the creative industry while protecting the rights of creators. This article analyzes the problems of fair use regulation in Indonesia, especially in the context of software development, by comparing it with policies in other countries such as the United States. The results show the need to develop a more detailed evaluation framework to ensure a balance between copyright protection and technological innovation. In addition, education and socialization related to the concept of fair use is a strategic step to increase public understanding and industry players. With policies that support innovation, Indonesia can strengthen its global competitiveness while promoting sustainable economic development.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh Gerakan Literasi Sekolah (GLS) terhadap minat baca siswa kelas V SD Negeri 1 Prako dengan menggunakan metode penelitian yaitu ex post facto. Dalam penelitian ini peneliti menggunakan angket sebagai instrumen penelitian. Angket digunakan untuk mengukur variabel Gerakan Literasi Sekolah (GLS) dan variabel minat baca siswa dengan menggunakan skala likert yang terdiri dari empat pilihan jawaban. Sebelum digunakan untuk penelitian, angket terlebih dahulu dilakukan uji validitas kepada sampel uji coba sebanyak 20 siswa kelas V SD Negeri 1 Prako. Setelah memperoleh angket dengan pernyataan yang valid serta reliabel, selanjutnya dilakukan penelitian terhadap sampel penelitian yang berjumlah 40 siswa kelas V SD Negeri 1 Prako. pengujian analisis regresi linier sederhana menunjukkan bahwa nilai signifikansi (sig) > probabilitas 0,05 dan thitung>ttabel (4,926 >2,021). Nilai R Square sebesar 0,390 yang dimana Gerakan Literasi Sekolah (GLS) berkontribusi sebesar 0,390 terhadap minat baca siswa kelas V SD Negeri 1 Prako.

Abstract

Purpose: Twitter related to mental health has great potential as a medium to provide important information to the public and health organizations on a large scale, but an evaluation of tweet data related to mental health disorders has not been carried out. This study aims to classify tweet data to determine the most common mental health disorders in Indonesia based on the symptoms experienced.Methodology: The classification process is carried out using cosine similarity calculations between tweets data and keywords which are compiled based on theoretical studies and optimization of the LDA topic modeling results.Findings/result:The classification results show that the most discussed issues on Twitter are depression, bipolar, schizophrenia, dementia, and PTSD. Based on these results it can be interpreted that the level of prevalence and public attention to depressive diorders is quite high compared to other disorders. From the results of the classification, it is also possible to identify the most discussed symptoms throughthe emergence of keywords from each category.Originality: Classification is calculated based on the cosine similarity between tweets and keywords compiled from human judgement and enriched using the results of LDA topic modeling to improve classification performance

Abstract

Abstract: The "Entrepreneurial Skill Enhancement Training" for students of the Faculty of Economics and Business at Malikussaleh University aims to equip students with practical skills and relevant knowledge in the field of entrepreneurship. In the rapidly changing era of globalization and digitalization, entrepreneurial skills have become crucial for enhancing individual competitiveness and driving economic growth. This program consists of a series of interactive workshops, seminars, and case studies covering topics such as business planning, digital marketing, financial management, and product and service innovation. Active participation from industry practitioners as speakers provides real insights into the challenges and opportunities present in the market. Through a hands-on learning approach, it is expected that students will not only understand entrepreneurial theory but also apply it in real-world contexts. Evaluation is conducted using pre-test and post-test methods to measure changes in participants' knowledge and skills. The outcomes of this training are expected to encourage students to be more proactive in creating business opportunities, thus positively contributing to the local economy and strengthening the entrepreneurial ecosystem in the region.

Abstract

This research aims to examine the social criticism in John Lennon’s selected songs, namely “Imagine,” “Gimme Some Truth,” and “Give Peace a Chance.” The study explores how John Lennon navigated his worldview and personal experiences, shaped by the issues he faced, to create songs that serve as a form of social criticism addressing societal problems. The primary research question focuses on identifying the social criticisms embedded in John Lennon’s selected songs. By analyzing the relationship between the reasons behind the creation of these works and their intrinsic elements, such as lyrics, song structure, and diction, this research aims to uncover the depiction of social criticism in the selected songs and delve deeper into Lennon’s perspectives on social issues, politics, and human rights. The findings are expected to contribute to a better understanding of the implementation of social criticism in popular works such as songs. This research not only enhances theoretical knowledge in the field of genetic structuralism but also provides insights into the importance of critical thinking regarding social issues in society

Abstract

Kelompok Katering Penajoh Aceh, merupakak kelompok usaha rumahan yang memiliki produk unggulan muloh teuepeh. Muloh teupeh telah menjadi produk unggulan dan favorit pelanggan penajoh aceh. Namun, seiring berjalannya waktu, kelompok usaha mengalami tantangan dalam hal daya tahan produk. Muloh teupeh tidak tahan lama atau cepat basi, sementara pesanan produk banyak yang diorder dari luar daerah. Namun karena cepat basi, katering kesulitan dalam mengirim produk karena cepat basi. Namun disisi yang lain, usaha banyak mengahasilkan limbah batok kelapa dari produk muloh teupeh yang benyak membutuhkan santan. Atas dasar persoalan tersebut, untuk mengatasi muloh teupeh cepat basi maka batok kelapa dimanfatakan untuk meproduksi asap cair, pengawet alami. Metode yang digunakan dalam memproduksi muloh teupeh kepada kelompok ushaa penajoh aceh dengan mengyuankan pendekatan pendidikan orang dewasa, dimulai dengan sosialisasi dan pelatihan, sembari menyiapakan peralatan pembautan asap cair. Dimana kemudian diikuti dengan praktek pembuatan asap cair dengan di akhiri pada penerapan asap cair pada produk. Hasil dari pelatihan, kelompok telah mampu memproduksi asap cair dengan memanfaatkan limbah batok kelapa dan menghasilakan muloh teupeh yang sudah awet dengan menggunakan asap cair. Sehingga Katering Penajoh Aceh telah mampu melakukan ekpansi pasar ke luar daerah, dimana berimplikasi pada peningkiatan penjualan.
