Abstract

ABSTRAKMengajar berpikir kritis kepada peserta didik di sekolah menengah telah menjadi perhatian dalam beberapa dekade terakhir.  Pembelajaran menggunakan model student oriented diharapkan mampu menggerakkan peserta didik berpikir kritis dan selanjutnya melakukan investigasi dalam pembelajaran. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis kemampuan berpikir kritis peserta didik dalam pemecahan masalah fluida dinamis dengan model pembelajaran student oriented. Tujuan ini akan dicapai dengan melakukan penelitian eksperimen dengan desain one group pretest-postest. Penelitian melibatkan 17 peserta didik kelas XI MIPA 8 di SMA Negeri 2 Mataram yang menjadi sampel penelitian. Kemampuan berpikir kritis diukur menggunakan 10 instrumen tes yang berbentuk essay. Instrumen tes yang digunakan telah teruji validitas dan reliabilitasnnya. Data kemampuan berpikir kritis dianalisis secara deskriptif dan statistik. Hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran student oriented pada pemecahan masalah fluida dinamis pada peserta didik mampu meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis dan hasil belajarnya. Kata kunci : kemampuan berpikir kritis; model pembelajaran student oriented ABSTRACTTeaching critical thinking to secondary school has been a concern in the last few decades. Learning using the student-oriented model is expected to be able to move students to think critically and then carry out investigations in learning.The experimental research with one group pretest-posttest design. This research involving 17 students of class XI MIPA 8 at SMA Negeri 2 Mataram as a research sample. Critical thinking ability were measured using 10 essay test items. Abstract

Mengajar berpikir kritis kepada mahasiswa calon guru telah menjadi perhatian dalam beberapa dekade terakhir dan pembelajaran menggunakan model yang spesifik mempromosikan berpikir kritis mahasiswa calon guru penting dikonduksikan dan dieksplorasi dampaknya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi efek model pembelajaran Inquiry-Creative-Proces (ICP) terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis pada mahasiswa calon guru. Penelitian eksperimen dengan desain one group pretest-posttest dikonduksikan, melibatkan 16 mahasiswa calon guru fisika di Universitas Mataram sebagai sampel penelitian. Kemampuan berpikir kritis diukur menggunakan instrumen tes sebanyak 8 item soal essay. Instrumen tes yang digunakan telah teruji validitas dan reliabilitasnya.  Data kemampuan berpikir kritis dianalisis secara deskriptif dan statistik di mana uji homogenitas, uji normalitas, dan uji-t dikonduksikan. Hasil studi menunjukkan bahwa model pembelajaran ICP berpengaruh terhadap kemampuan berpikir kritis mahasiswa calon guru.The Effect of Inquiry-Creative-Process Learning Model (ICP) on Prospective Teacher Students’ Critical Thinking AbilityAbstractTeaching critical thinking to prospective teacher has been a concern in the last few decades and learning using specific models to train critical thinking prospective teachers is important to be conditioned and explored their impact. This study aims to explore the effect of Inquiry-Creative-Process (ICP) learning model on  prospective teacher’s critical thinking ability. The experimental research with one group pretest-posttest design was conducted, involving 16 physics prospective teachers at Universitas Mataram as a research sample. Critical thinking ability were measured using 8 essay test items. The test instrument used has been tested for validity and reliability. The data of critical thinking ability were analyzed descriptively and statistically where homogeneity test, normality test, and t-test are conducted. The results showed that the ICP learning model affected to the  prospective teacher’s critical thinking ability.

Abstract

Abstrak: Pengaruh radiasi sinar gamma terhadap sifat optik dari poli vinil alkohol (PVA) yang dicampur dengan trichloro acetid acid (TCA) dan pewarna methilen blue (MB) dapat digunakan pada dosimetri dan pengukuran dosis radiasi sinar gamma telah dipelajari dengan menggunakan metode spektrofotometer. dosimeter telah diradiasi sampai dosis 14 kGy dengan menggunakan sinar gamma 60Co. Polimer  film mengalami perubahan warna dari biru keunguan ke kuning akibat radiasi sinar gamma. Perubahan warna ini mengindikasikan terbentuknya asam kuat, dengan kenaikan dosis radiasi banyak ion klorin putus dari rantai karbon TCA dan akibat radiasi menyebabkan ion H+ dan OH- menjadi radikal bebas yang dihasilkan dari proses hidrolisis air dari molekul sampel, kemudian berkombinasi dalam bentuk asam. spektrum serapan telah diukur menggunakan spektrofotometer Uv-Vis pada rentang panjang gelombang 200-700 nm, menghasilkan penurunan serapan pada puncak 360 dan 440 nm dengan peningkatan dosis dan kenaikan serapan optik pada puncak 560 nm dengan kenaikan dosis radiasi.  Kata kunci : Sifat optik, radiasi sinar gamma, polimer film PVA-TCA-MB, spektrum serapan optik. Abstract: The effect of gamma irradiation on optical properties  of methylene-blue dyed poly vinyl alcohol (PVA) blended with trichloroacetid acid (TCA) for use in dosimetry and measurement of radiation dose in gamma rays have been studied using Uv-Visible spectrophotometer method. The dosimeters were irradiated for doses up 14 kGy using 60Co gamma rays source at a constant dose rate. The polymeric films undergo colour change from blue purplish to yellow due to radiation-induced. The changes of this colour indicated strong acid, by the increasing of radiation dose caused more chlorine ions break from carbon of TCA and radiation-induced H+ and OH- free radicals are generated from the hydrolysis of water molecules, they then combined to form acid. The absorption spectra were measured using Uv-Visible spectrophotometer in the wavelength range 200-700 nm, resulting in a decrease of the absorbance at 360 and 440 nm band peak with increasing dose and an increases of the absorbance at 560 nm band peak with increasing dose. Keywords: Optical properties, gamma irradiation, polymer film PVA-TCA-MB, optical absorption spectra.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran CORE terhadap penguasaan konsep fisika peserta didik kelas XI MAN Lombok Barat. Jenis penelitian ini adalah kuasi eksperimen dengan desain penelitian non-equivalent control group design. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh peserta didik kelas XI MIA MAN Lombok Barat dengan teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan sampling jenuh. Terdapat dua sampel yaitu kelas XI MIA 2 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas XI MIA 1 sebagai kelas kontrol. Kelas eksperimen diberikan perlakuan dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran CORE, sedangkan kelas kontrol diberi perlakuan menggunakan model pembelajaran konvensional. Data penguasaan konsep diperoleh dengan menggunakan tes pilihan ganda beralasan berjumlah 25 soal dan dianalisis menggunakan uji-t polled varians. Hipotesis penelitian menunjukkan bahwa thitung > ttabel (2,355 > 2,021) pada taraf signifikan 5% yang berarti bahwa Ho ditolak dan Ha diterima. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh model pembelajaran CORE terhadap penguasaan konsep fisika peserta didik kelas XI MAN Lombok Barat.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan media simulasi PhET (physics education tehnology) terhadap hasil belajar fisika peserta didik SMA Negeri 1 Kediri tahun ajaran 2018/2019. Jenis penelitian ini adalah quasi experiment dengan desain penelitian non-equivalent control group design. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas XI MIA SMAN 1 Kediri dengan jumlah 64 peserta didik, tehnik pengambilan sampel menggunakan cluster random sampling dan diperoleh kelas XI MIA 1 sebagai kelas eksperimen sebanyak 21 orang dan kelas XI MIA 2 sebagai kelas Kontrol sebanyak 20 orang. Kelas eksperimen diberikan perlakuan pembelajaran dengan model pembelajaran langsung menggunakan media simulasi PhET (Physics Education Tehnology) sedangkan kelas kontrol menggunakan pembelajaran konvensional. Uji coba instrument tes hasil belajar telah memenuhi syarat diantaranya, uji validitas, reliabilitas, tingkat kesukaran dan daya beda. Sehingga diperoleh sebanyak 25 soal valid dan 5 soal tidak valid dari 30 soal yang diujikan, kemudian soal tersebut diberikan saat melakukan tes awal dan tes akhir. Setelah didapatkan hasil tes akhir kedua kelas homogen dan terdistribusi normal hipotesis penelitian diujikan dengan uji-t dengan taraf signifikan 5% dan diperoleh hasil thitung sebesar 4,12 dan  ttabel sebesar 2,02 sehingga dapat dikatakan bahwa nilai thitung lebih besar dari ttabel. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh penggunaan media simulasi PhET (Physics Education Technology)  terhadap hasil belajar fisika peserta didik.

Abstract

This research is a Classroom Action Research (CAR) which aims to increase the students activities and physics learning outcomes with implementation problem based learning model assisted by props in grade VIIIA SMPN 22 Mataram 2014/2015. This classroom action research conducted by two cycles, with each cycle consisting of two meetings. Action research consists of four stages: planning, implementation, observation and evaluation, and reflection. The implementation of classroom action research was successful because it obtained an average score of students learning activities from the first cycle to the second cycle was on active criterion to be very active with average scores of 16,875 to be 22,75. Cognitive learning outcomes of students with the average value of the first cycle of 74,13 with classical completeness 73,91% increased with the average value of second cycle of 79,35 with classical completeness 86,96%. Affective students learning outcomes from the first cycle to the second cycle with an average value of 66,195 to 78,95 on the criteria good enough to be good. Psychomotor students learning outcomes from the first cycle to the second cycle an average value of 71,63 to 85,655 are the criteria enough skilled become skilled. Thus, this research can be concluded by implementation of problem based learning model aided by props can increase students activities and learning outcomes of phyics grade VIIIA SMPN 22 Mataram in academic year 2014/2015.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of learning cycle 5E model (Engage, Explore, Explain, Elaboration, & Evaluate) on student’s critical thinking skills of class X in MAN 1 Mataram. This research type is quasi experiment with research design untreated control group with pretest and posttest design. The sample was selected by cluster random sampling technique and obtained X MIA 1 class as experiment class using learning cycle 5E model and X MIA 2 class as control class using cooperative learning type STAD model. The critical thinking ability’s data collected by essay test that are 5 questions that have been tested for validation, reliability, difficulty level, and index of discrimination. Researchers used homogeneity test, normality test, t-test polled variance, and N-Gain test as statistical test. N-Gain test are used to determine the improvement of critical thinking skills in each indicator. The experimental class get improvement result in medium category for all indicators, while the control class get improvement in medium category on three indicators and two other indicators in low category. Based on result of hypothesis test can be concluded that there is effect of learning cycle 5E model to critical thinking ability of students.

Abstract

This research aimed to examine the effect of expository learning model scaffolding assisted and advance organizer toward physics learning outcome the students of class X. This is a quasi experiment with pretest-postest control group design. The population of this research is all students of class X IPA SMAN 4 Mataram. The sampling technique used is purposive sampling. There are two samples taken that is sample as a class given treatment in the form of learning using scaffolding expository aided learning model (class X IPA 1) and classes treated using expository learning model assisted advance organizer (class X IPA 2). The data of learning outcome is obtained by using the multiple-choice test of 25 questions. After hypothesis testing using statistical test (t-test separated varian). The first hypothesis testing showed that tcount > ttable which means that Ho1 is rejected and Ha1 is accepted. The second hypothesis testing showed that, tcount > ttable which means that Ho2 is rejected and Ha2 is accepted. Based on the hypothesis test, it can be concluded that there is effect of expository learning model with scaffolding and advance organizer to the physics learning outcome of students.

Abstract

Polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) based film polymers that contain trichloroacetic acid (TCA) and methylene blue (MB) dye has been synthesized. The synthesis aimed to obtain material that can be applied as film dosimeter. Six PVA-TCA-MB thin film samples have been synthsized by varying PVA grades and TCA composition. Characterization of optical property of the resulted polymer was undertaken by measuring samples absorption within wavelength range of 200 nm to 700 nm.  Absorption spectrum of samples showed an optimum between 547-644 nm that corresponds to purple colour and characteristic to MB absoption. Further analysis showed the influence of TCA concentration and storage periode of the polymer. Optimization of syntesis by evaluating synthesis condition, heating and storage time is yet to be done in order to obtain polymer that can be used as dosimeter with reproducible optical property.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of guided inquiry learning model toward critical thinking skills of students. This type of research is quasi experiment with non-equivalent group design. Sampling using purposive sampling technique, so that obtained class XI MIA 1 as experiment class and class XI MIA 2 as control class. The research instrument is a essay test of 5 questions that have been tested for validity, reliability, level of difficulty, and different power of problems. The learning data of the two classes is normally distributed. Based on the homogenity data obtained both homogeneous. Data were analyzed by MANOVA test. Result of data analysis show significance  0,021 if  determined the level of significance 0,05 then 0,021<0,05. Based on these facts it can be concluded that there is influence of guided inquiry learning model toward critical thinking skills of students.
